Solution for Account Sync problem ICS - HTC Sensation

Do this and it should work. I was having the same problem and it worked for me.
First backup your contacts, from people application using Export to SD card option!!!
go to:
settings > developer options > background process limit (set "No background processes")
then go to:
settings > apps > all > contacts storage > ("clear data")
Then go back to:
settings > developer options > background process limit (set Standard limit)
You might need to restart your phone.
Then select your gmail account and check contacts and then reboot.
Wait 5-10 min and you'll see the contacts start to appear.

Do not do Clear Data before backing up your contacts.
Unfortunatelly I think it only works one way from Google to Phone.

Annoying GPRS popup

With no programs open, just the today screen i get this gprs popup all the time. It doesn't connect, and I don't want it to either. It just keeps on trying to connect all the damn time
Any clues what I can do to disable it?
Start > Settings > Sounds & Notifications > Notifications Tab > Pull down menu and choose "Connection Established" > Uncheck "Display message on screen" > Press "Ok"

Thank you! This has been bothering me too.
Source of the connection request.
Ideally, you should try to find out which application is trying to connect to the net. and disable that, the most common one for me, is Windows Live Hotmail when trying to sync. if you have it on automatic sync. (As Items Arrive). There are many other app. that require constant connection to the Internet.
the 3th party firewall program around got that option i believe

Pictures in Email

Hi guys,
I tried searching for this, but, well, it was too long and nothing really came up.
So my question pertains to the email function - when I have incoming emails, is there a way to set the phone to download all internet pictures BY DEFAULT?
I hate having to click a couple times in order to just download the pictures in the email. It'd be so much easier if it did this by default.
Thanks in advance!!
When you're in the emails list, go to Menu > Tools > Options > Choose your email account > and press on Download size settings > Set to download the entire message in the Message download limit

Stop gmail sync on tnt?

I want to stop Gmail and my Calender and Picassa pictures from syncing with the gtablet. But i still want my contacts to sync. In other roms I just go to settings and accounts and just stop it there for each individual thing. How do I do that in this rom?

The workaround I found was to use launcherpro to create a shortcut.
Long press home > shortcuts > Activities > Account and Sync Settings > Then pick the top option which should be "com.android.settings.ManageAccountSettings" > tap OK > tap icon to launch the settings.

Nice! That worked great. Thanks
Dude - thanks so much for this. I don't need to worry about configuring what the original poster was interested in, but I've been hunting down a way to turn on the lock pattern with TNT-Lite.
Turns out, if you use this same approach but go to Settings and then "com.android.settings.ChooseLockGeneric" you can go in and set up a lock pattern.
Been wanting this for a while. Thanks again.

Looking for an app to launch menus...

For example:
Homescreen > Menu > Settings > Phone Storage.
I want an app that I could create a shortcut on the homescreen to immediately launch to "Phone Storage".
This is just an example. What i'm truly trying to accomplish on a Droid X is:
Homescreen > Menu > Settings > Battery & Data > Data Usage and then turn off the 3G by unchecking "Data Enabled".
I tried "Extended Controls Widget" but that doesn't seem to have the option to create a shortcut to do that.
*Edit*
Nevermind, I found in ADW where to do this. You add a shortcut and choose ADW Activity.

Private/hidden calls

After I've reset my Nexus S a few days ago... It makes all my calls shown as private number to others. Does anyone of you fellas know, how to change it back so my phone number is shown?
I'm using A.V. 4.0.3.
In advance thank you.
Open up contacts and go into settings. You'll find it in "Additional Settings".
It's no longer in the contacts settings with ICS, it's now in the Phone app settings.
Open the Phone app, go to Menu > Settings > Additional settings > Caller ID.
