After I've reset my Nexus S a few days ago... It makes all my calls shown as private number to others. Does anyone of you fellas know, how to change it back so my phone number is shown?
I'm using A.V. 4.0.3.
In advance thank you.
Open up contacts and go into settings. You'll find it in "Additional Settings".
It's no longer in the contacts settings with ICS, it's now in the Phone app settings.
Open the Phone app, go to Menu > Settings > Additional settings > Caller ID.

hi i have question how do i change the name that appears to people when i call them. it always appears like private and i cant find the option on settings i used to know how on Gingerbread but now that i am on ICS i have no clue, i have a Nexus s btw
Open up the "Phone" app, press menu and have a look around. They've moved it from system settings.
From phone app, press menu then setting. Its the first choice after you choose additional settings.
I just installed CM9 (Eagles Blood) and I got my 1st voicemail, it said there was no number set, so I mistakenly put in my phone number, instead of the +1805..... and now it asks for my pin each time, where do I change this at?
Settings, call settings, voicemail.
Edit: I may have spoke too soon. That's how you do it in GB. Although ICS should be similar.

try Settings > call settings > voicemail settings
or
Open up the contacts/phone app and then press menu

I am not finding either.
Open the phone app > (menu button) settings.
Do this and it should work. I was having the same problem and it worked for me.
First backup your contacts, from people application using Export to SD card option!!!
go to:
settings > developer options > background process limit (set "No background processes")
then go to:
settings > apps > all > contacts storage > ("clear data")
Then go back to:
settings > developer options > background process limit (set Standard limit)
You might need to restart your phone.
Then select your gmail account and check contacts and then reboot.
Wait 5-10 min and you'll see the contacts start to appear.
Do not do Clear Data before backing up your contacts.
Unfortunatelly I think it only works one way from Google to Phone.

Yesterday I received and installed update 4.1.2 for my GT-6200L
Everything works great with one annoying problem: I can not edit email settings.
Overall the settings screen changed, before there was a tab on the right with settings displayed for selected item, now clicking on the item opens new screen with settings for that item. It works for everything except email, where clicking on "General Preferences" or my specific account does nothing...
Already tried factory reset twice.
Any suggestions / ideas as to what happened to my settings ?
Is there any other way to configure it ?

Have you tried device "settings / accounts " and edit or add accounts there rather than from email?

As I said in my original post, it is precisely the Overall device settings screen that is changed.
It has Add and Delete account buttons, which I can use.
It has the text "General Preferences" and it has list of my emails.
But clicking on either "General Preferences" or on any of my emails does nothing.
In the previous version the settings were displayed in the panel on the right.
I am attaching the picture to illustrate what I mean.
This is what happens when I click Settings->Email
No idea. There's no setting that affects this/
I have the stock JB 4.1.2 om my P6210 and its fine, This page has the normal split screen with accounts on one side and the settings on the other.
You are totally stock ROM? Have not altered your DPI settings?
Is there a native setting for this or a way to get to call settings ? because all i can find are instructions for android 4.x.x which reference tapping the settings in the phone app but on android 5 you can't get to call settings that way
Can on mine. Three dots menu button > settings
found a far simpler way to do it from my network
