Hi everyone
I received my new phone last week, I like it but...
I have read information in the web about notification but I'm lost...
I need information or, better, help with two things :
- I want to use Pulse for my messages, it works but when I receive a new message, I don't have any sound.
settings > applications installed > Pulse > All permissions are OK
settings > permissions > Pulse has all permissions
The screen lighting is OK.
The led lighting is OK.
The vibrations are OK.
But no sound...
When I go to application settings, I can try the notification an everything is OK...
This is OK for the default application.
- I want to use Pulsar to play my music... that also works... but I don't have a widget on the lock screen...
The widget notification when the phone is enabled is OK.
settings > applications installed > Pulsar > All permissions are OK
settings > permissions > Pulsar has all permissions
It's the same with Phonograph but the default application, vlc and google music are OK...
Thank you for reading me entirely
If you have any idea...
Have a nice day.
Sorry for my english...

Hi all,
Wonder if anybody can help me.
Hope i've placed this in the right place as this is my first time posting a new thread. Sorry if it's not.
I'm having a problem with the alarm on my lockscreen.
When the alarm goes off, the snooze or dismiss option has disappeared off my lockscreen. I have to unlock my phone, click on the top taskbar and dismiss it that way.
Has anybody else had the same problem or does anybody know how to fix it?
Many thanks.
Snap...
Anyone with ideas?
Hopefully someone will have an idea how to fix it.
Fingers crossed.
Same problem here. And it's not just the alarm clock that is a problem, the same thing happens with tasks and reminders from the calendar.
I used to be able to just clicl snooze/dismiss from the main locked screen. Now I have to unlock, tap the taskbar, view notifications, dismiss.
Does anyone have a reason/solution?
same problem - now solved
Hello,
had the same problem and was watching this thread
I use the latest RTT rom (win mobile 6.5.x?)
At first I went to the windows settings (Manila settings => menue => more => sounds ... => sounds => events? - check box set => OK)
Because I've a german rom I don't know if previous translation is ok - therefore the way in German:
(Manila Einstellungen => Menü => Mehr => Sounds & Benachricht. => Sounds => Ereignisse (Warnungen, Systemereignisse) - Check box setzen => OK)
Then - I don't know whether it is necessary - I set in Manila Settings => Sound & Display => "Eine Lautstärke/Systemlautstärke verwenden" - my translation?: use same volume for system & phone.
also in Manila Settings => Sound & Display => Klingeltöne / Benachrichtigungstöne (ring tone? / notification tone?) => I checked whether Erinnerungen (reminder?) is "on" - I also switched New message to "on".
Finally I set a test alarm - via the windows alarm icon (found in programms), NOT the home tab Manila alarm - and it worked - the alarm is now appearing in lock screen mode and you can dismiss or snooze directly - without prior unlock ...
Before I found that the windows alarm settings override the manila settings - and you can even choose mp3 files without additional alarm software! The alarm can then also be set via Manila alarm, but the settings in windows alarm count (in latest RTT rom).
From Setting menu press on All settings goto Sound & Notification the Notifications. Drop down to Reminders and check the "Display message on screen............

Thanks asifghufran,
Have done what you suggested and it is sorted.
Thank you very much.
Can't believe it was something so simple.

Settings > Notification center > Notice management > (App) > Set to important notice
I just watched review on Phone Dog and his phone has regular android quick setting bar on top. Was it different in review models and they changed it afterwards ?
Actually other reviews have it that way as well. Is there a way to enable that ?
Running into a bug when I try to set a notification sound for Gmail. I can get to the settings menu, when I select my email account and press Inbox Sound & Vibrate, Gmail stops working. Is there a backdoor to change the setting or do I have to wait for an update?

Thought my phone wasn't notifying me audibly of new emails and seeing your post, I checked it out. Took the long road--
Settings > Notifications and sounds > App Notifications > Gmail > App Settings > (account name) > Inbox sound & vibrate > Sound
Had no crash or issues. Reboot?

No go on either. The workaround took me to the same place where it crashed. Reboot and it still does the same thing.

Time to wipe, I guess, and start over. My phone quit displaying the phone app last week when I got incoming calls--phone rang but I couldn't answer. Still not sure why but think it was corrupted memory related to removing the SD card. Regardless, wiping fixed everything.
I'll be darn if I can find it, but when I wake up google on the watch, and say "call xxxxxxxx" it pops up
a message that says ok, I can help with that, but you need to add permission in google assistant
settings. I've looked on the phone, can't locate where I add the watch.
Is it on the watch? If so, where??
TIA
No idea. I just tested successfully calling from my watch using the Hey Google command. Check Assistant permissions in Settings on the watch.
Watch, settings, apps, permissions, assistant....grant what you need.
Settings > Apps > Permissions > Assistant
Settings > Apps > Permissions > wear
Settings > Apps > Permissions > Wear OS
Settings > Apps > Permissions > Phone x2
Settings > Apps > Permissions > Call
Check all those Permissions and make sure everything is enabled.

Thanks, that was it...contacts were disabled. Appreciate it!
Thank You for posting this. Too many people getting on reddit complaining this and that isn't working and the problem is just simple research.

Yes! I received my GW4 watch last April. I use this site, reddit, Samsung Members, Google and YouTube to help with apps and issues.
Happy to help! Glad I could give one back to the extensive world of internet knowledge lol
