Recommendation on roms? HD10 - Fire HD 8 and HD 10 General

I have a Fire HD 10 (7th gen) and want to try to have it run as close to stock Android as possible.
Any recommendation on roms to flash on it?
I am looking mainly for stability.. enough to be a DD. I don't necessarily need to run A12 on it.

[Q] Demo Kindle Fire (1st Gen) / CM / Android mods Stable?

Hello,
After an epic quest, akin to the likes of Odysseus, 15 Waterfox tabs simultaneously being scanned / viewed... I Bricked...unbricked ( SoupKit / Ubuntu worked in 10 mins... after spending 6 hrs straight trying to do it on Win 7 / KF utility... SoupKit flat out rules ), rooted, and loaded a Customized Stock+ Kindle 6.3.2 ROM onto a DEMO Kindle Fire . Amazing battle it was.
Ok ... now ... I want to try some of the CM / Paranoid Droid ROMs ... How stable are they at the moment? I really want to try the CM 10.1 / AOSP or whatever it was ... (at work can't find the exact name). They run fairly well on the Fire's ??

[Q] What does a Custom ROM do for my Xoom!?!

All,
I want to root my Xoom and us a custom Rom. I was thinking that I would ask a couple of questions before I do it.
I WILL NOT HOLD ANYONE RESONSABLE FOR THEIR COMMENTS OR ADVICE IF I BRICK MY XOOM!!
I was going to add to a couple of possible forum, but I thought it may be better to start a new question.
1) What do you get when you root your Xoom?
2) What is the advantage for using a custom ROM.?
3) If I use a custom Rom will it improve my Xoom performance?
4) What ROM would you use?
5) Where can I go to get the files and information on what to do?
6) Does the ROM get updates?
7) Do you overclock you Xoom when you us custom ROM?
8) What is the latest version of Android come with Custom ROM?
I love my Xoom and would like to get the most out of it
Thanks,
Grim

I don't claim these as facts but just from my experiences and readings.
1. rooting elevates your rights on the Android system. It's equivalent to admin for windows. If you want to know what advantages rooting provides google it as there are many written articles about that.
2. I wouldn't say it's an advantage but just provides more options and features. This varies depending on ROM.
3. It would depend on what version you are on now and chances are, the answer would be, not really. The kernel for the xoom is still the same one from 4.1 which is where the performance gains / loses come from. Although some ROMS are able to minimize in the UI. If you are coming from honeycomb then yes there is noticeable performance gains.
4. I'm currently using EOS 4 Build 197 Bigpart with Elemental bigpart Kernel. There is a kitkat ROM out now however, it's wingray only. Waiting for the possibility of stingray. But like i mentioned before, until someone can update our kernel don't expect any real performance changes.
5. Use the link the last guy provided or just check the development forum. The How to is usually the top most post.
6. Currently the only ROM getting any support / updates is the new Kitkat ROM for wingray (wifi only). How long... depends on how long the developer remains interested. They do it all for free so how frequently is when they feel like working on it.
7. Yes, i overclock to 1600mhz max makes a difference.

Overclock and kitkat; that's why you want custom. Xoom at 1.6GHz running 4.4.2 with ART feels like a brand new tablet. Just do all your research first or you'll be buying a new tablet.
1) What do you get when you root your Xoom?
Depends.
2) What is the advantage for using a custom ROM.?
whatever Stock ROM doesn't provide.
3) If I use a custom Rom will it improve my Xoom performance?
If the custom rom contains overclocked CPU or GPU, then it will indeed.
4) What ROM would you use?
CM11
5) Where can I go to get the files and information on what to do?
HERE!!!
6) Does the ROM get updates?
It depends...the more users are IN, we could get more update chances.
7) Do you overclock you Xoom when you us custom ROM?
Yup. That's one of the PROs I've explained. 1.0Ghz is too slow.
8) What is the latest version of Android come with Custom ROM?
CM11 is based on KitKat(which you could call Android 4.4)

I can't tell you how many times I soft bricked during the process, but every time - with some persistence and research on these forums - I was able to recover and proceed. Eventually I got it right. Highly recommend searching for AIO_scripts_R.A.H._TWRPv2.6.3.zip here to help automate switching out of fastboot modes.

[Completed] Is there ANY way to root a kindle Fire HD 7 running Fire OS 4.5.2?

This really sucks, as I took my kindle out of the box, and was unable to stop an update to 4.5.2, and I had (had being the key word as this one was the 1st gen, so I sold it) a rooted kindle. None of the methods I have tried worked so far, and I am glad that I decided to come here before I bricked my kindle. Please halp!
We do not support Fire OS as yet. However please review How to root the Kindle Fire HD 7 with firmware 7.5.1?

Moto G 2013 Lte ( Peregrine ): best rom for daily use.

Hi all,
I want to try to revive a little my pretty old phone, so I' m looking for advices for the best rom to choose.
My main goals are:
1)Security
Are custom rom more up to date than the stock 5.1? Are they safe for enough to run banks apps?
2)Stability
3)Stability
4)Stability
5)Speed
Well, at least enough to be faster than the stock one.
I' m not interested in games or peculiar apps, my phone use is pretty standard ( calls, messaging, browsing, mail, maps and running apps ).
Is the @lost101 Peregrine 6.0 stock a good candidate?
Could be an option just to flash an optimized kernel and keep the stock rom?
Thank you
I know a Moto G LTE running LineageOS 14.1. It's pretty good. But I don't get banking apps working unfortunately.
