Is fastboot/download mode even possible on this phone (I have d838 model)? When I hold Power + volume up and connect to computer, phone briefly shows "download mode", but then goes to "Firmware Update Do not unplug the USB connection until the process is complete". And it just stays they at 0%.

hello i need to enter my ls996 to download mode, but when i try it it will show some secure boot error 1006
i remmeber that happened with my g3 and after taking the ota ,i was able to enter the download mode
so i believe one update zip could work,or if someone has any other idea let me know
thanks in advice.
secure boot is in normal boot, not in download mode.
you can enter pressing vol down and pluging the usb cable with phone off,
so if you cant turn off the phone, you can power off it with power+vol down, and when it turns off, you must do it fast, relase power button and plug micro usb keeping vol down pressed.
I saved my flex 2 with security error in that way
When i try to enter the download mode on my flex 2 pressing the volume down button ,but when showing the icon of download mode ,at the upper left corner it shows the security boot error 1006.it shows it about 5 seconds snd then the phone will boot up normally.
Hi everyone, i ask for your help cause i have a common problem but the fixes i found in the forum didn't work for me: my ZenFone 5 stucks at "Asus" logo with a loading loop wheel below that.
I know this post may be long... but i beg you to read all steps:
1) Phone stucks at logo, but could enter recovery (pressing vol + down), i've updated it via external SD card (official firmware but didn't work) then i've wiped data and did a factory reset. Phone still stucks at logo.
2) Now i can't even enter recovery mode... when pressing vol + down it shows 2 options but whatever i choose the phone reboots. If i press vol + up it says "CSC mode, long press power to restart. Phone still stucks.
3) Now (after some time) the phone's screen doesn't show anything, nor charging icon or notification led when recharging, but strangely the computer recognizes it as a device when connected via USB cable, and the led turns on when i do this.
A friend told me to follow a guide that says to install "Intel Soc USB driver", i did that. After installing, when connecting the device, 2 things should pop up in Device Manager, under "Intel Soc": "Cloverview Plus Device" and "Intel Soc USB Driver" but they don't show to me
I've also tried Asus flashtool guide... at step 4 it says to click in the box icon and choose the firmware RAW file, so i've downloaded a raw firmware for the ZenFone 5, but oddly it doesn't let me choose any raw file.
Note: the phone is recognized by the pc as "QHSUSB_BULK", so i've tried to update its driver with qualcomm drivers, and now it's recognized as "Qualcom MMC Usb storage device". But i think i've did a wrong thing cause my friend told me i should have choosed some kind of official driver
Thanks in advance for your help
I have a Moto G (2014) running a custom recovery (TWRP) and custom ROM (Cyanogenmod). I entered in AP Fastboot Flash Mode and then connected a USB Cable. My phone showed 'USB connected' but then when i tried to flash a different custom rom from my pc, it said "waiting for device' and i realized that my phone was no longer connected. However, my phone still shows 'USB connected' and my phone is stuck. The power and volume keys have become unresponsive. I can no longer navigate using the volume keys and can no longer force restart my device by long pressing the power key. In short, my phone is completely stuck, including the power and volume keys. Right now I am just waiting for the battery to run out as the battery is also non-removable. If any one knows any alternative and quicker method please help.
facing the same problem........has your problem solved
I dropped my Moto G – annoyingly only a few months after I'd replaced the battery. Now it won't boot up.
If I plug it into a charger, the 'battery charged' icon flashes on and off alternately with the LED light.
If I connect it to my Windows 10 PC, I repeatedly get the notification message "USB device not recognized: The last USB device you connected to the computer malfunctioned and Windows does not recognize it."
If I press Volume Down when the phone is connected to the charger, it will enter the Fastboot Flash Mode screen, but if I select Recovery or Normal Powerup nothing happens – it just goes back to the flashing 'battery charged' icon. I haven't tried the other options.
If I press Volume Down when the phone is connected to the PC, it enters the Fastboot Flash Mode screen, and this time there are no Windows USB errors. From a command prompt, fastboot devices recognizes the Moto G. So I think there may be hope!
How should I proceed from here? I can use fastboot but not adb. I'd be very grateful for any help.
I formatted data and flashed Quantum Stock ROM (did not flash "RMM bypass zip"). After starting the phone once I tried to install a GSI (Treble) ROM. Disaster.
The phone is softbricked(?).
1. If connected to power source or PC the phone keeps restarting.
2. If no cable is attached, after powering on it shows logo and then switches off.
3. Cable connected or not connected, no matter which combination of buttons I press I just CANNOT enter recovery or bootloader mode.
Please advice on how to proceed. Thank you. :fingers-crossed:
Solution:
When the phone is powered off, hold VOL UP + VOL DOWN and insert the usb cable that is connected to a PC.
A screen will appear giving option to enter "download mode" by pression VOL UP. Do it.
Now the phone is in download mode.
Use ODIN to flash the latest firmware.
English is not my first language
I'm with the same issue!! I already flash the latest firmware but doesn't worked.
