thanks, but not what im looking for, i need to enable bluetooth debugging on the wearable app, not the watch, ive done that already
No idea yet...
IMHO on Watch you can choose between WiFi and BT in Developer Setting.
Sorry.
Best Regards
yeah but i want to give options to connet to the program for both bluetooth and wifi and without being able to configure adb debugging for bluetooth in the wearable app
Code:
adb forward tcp:4444 localabstract:/adb-hub
adb connect localhost:4444
wont connect
IMHO the good news is...
It is NOT "simple Question".
Sorry I have no further idea(s) yet.
Best Regards
from what i can tell it "was" an option in the wear os companion app, i say "was", because i cant seem to find it in the current version
You talking about the debug menu when you tap "Galaxy Wearable" in the about screen in the wearable app?

I tried this and nothing happened. I just go through the Developer Tools on the watch. Sometimes I have to toggle WIFI for it to connect.

I followed your instructions again and it worked! I opened Galaxy Wearable and then choose About Galaxy Wearable. Page opens and I tapped on the words Galaxy Wearable. Opens Get Dump and access to many options. I was trying to do this from the wrong screen when I first select the Galaxy Wearable app. Duh. I needed to select the menu (3 lines) at top left and choose About Galaxy Wearable. Still learning.

Hi everyone!
Today I've created a mockup of my own idea: A Quick Settings interface for Wear!
As lots of other users out there, I hate to scroll 5-6 times to finally turn on airplane mode when I want to use my smartwatch as a watch only. This would be a much better and of course, faster option to turn settings on- and off quickly with only one slide...
Maybe we could add Location and theather mode to the bottom line, but as I see, three icons would do the job.

I hope if we create a bit of a hype Google will consider creating something like this in the M edition of Android Wear...
Anyway... Do you like the idea?
Looks cool. Doesnt 5.1.1 already have something similar?
No, it does not. This is especially annoying because you cannot use WiFi directly without putting the device in airplane mode first.
This is awesome and would be incredibly useful for me.

Thanks! Feel free to repost on other forums! I hope if we reach out enough users Google would implement it in the next update

Why would you want to do this? Airplane mode disables interaction in the google apps. If you want to force wifi, better to turn bluetooth off on your phone.
The reason is if you want to use an app online. For instance, if you need a web browser or es file explorer on your watch. Bluetooth has no bearing. The system does not allow user apps to go online. There are two solutions (not one like I said before).
1, enable airplane mode, and then enable and connect to WiFi.
2, Put the app you want to have WiFi access in the system folder (I think both priv-app and app work).
Of course both have drawbacks, but that is the way it is right?

Apparently, like a lot of other solutions that have been found in android wear, there's an unofficial way to do things.
See web browser for a.w.
Looks awesome, maybe I'm slowly considering to get one of these petting watches
Yes please.
I like it ? should really be in it
yes please! I don't understand why google insists on coming up with a more "watch specific" interface for Wear, when scaling down vanilla android would have been a more familiar experience: pull down for toggles, swipe left/right to access your screens where you can deploy icons for quick launch apps, or one screen dedicated to notifications ala samsungs' touchwiz widgets page? I would pay for a mini version of Nova launcher on my watch.

"Info Gear" shows battery info of your Gear...
That is not new. Have this also in 2.2.151.....
Hi. Today Gear Manager has been updated to 2.2.16011842 and now the weather settings have dissappeared. Where can I find them? Is it a bug? I have weather app and widget in the watch but there's no way to access settings. Same to you? I have Gear S and Note 3. Thanks!

Weather configuration is still available on my Gear Manager app after the update. It's located in Settings->Individual app Settings->Weather.

Oh yes. Sorry for my confusion. I thought it was at different location! Thank you very much. Anyway when I try to change interval of weather update from 6 hours to any other time it closes and shows Unified Daemon closed. Other settings working ok! :good:
Not available in the US? The older version is still showing on Play and the Galaxy Apps store. Weird.

Plus notifications of gear app updates option added. Number of updates will pop up next to 'Samsung Gear Apps'. That plus extra battery info is all I've noticed.
My phone got the update in US.
Also in US and got the update. Haven't noticed anything special about it though
Greetings,
I have looked on the internet to resolve this issue. It is very troubling. The 3 dots that should be in the upper right corner are gone.
I also noticed that when connected to my hot spot via laptop the SSID shows Samsung Galaxy Note10+ 6806 and not Note 20 ultra.
This phone is from Tmobile and is locked.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you,
Jeff

Hotspot is enabled, you can see its icon at the top. Add mobile hotspot button via Edit button option and it will reveal additional settings.

Thank you so much. I already have the button for the hot spot. There just is no settings option anywhere to edit password. The three dots that are usually in the top right corner when in the hot spot window is missing. If you look in the attached image there is no settings option anywhere.

Hi guys,
I have recently bought a galaxy watch 4 (bluetooth version) and my phone is Samsung S8. My friend is able to install apps like messages for wear os and nike run club from the google play store in the watch (Below images with the watch). However I cannot find those apps in my watch play store, I have those apps in my phone but they are not showing up after I sync the phone with the watch either.
I tried to install them from google play website then I found out it says those apps are not compatible with my watch. Any ideas how I can install them on the watch please? Thanks a lot!

Probably because the Galaxy Watch 4 is the only Wear OS 3 device and a lot of apps are not compatible probably. Hopefully a future update will sort this out.

It's up to the app developers of said apps to "sort it out" nothing to do with the OS
I have the same issue. Had "messages for wear os" on my watch 4. Was working really fine. The I changed the watch (other colour). So on the new watch the app doesn't show in playstore or in "apps on smartphone".
Is there a workaround? With that app I could send WhatsApp messages at any time.
Edit: I sideloaded the app and it works good. Install wear installer and follow the guide (to start adb over wifi). Download messages for wear os on your phone. Then you can choose the app at the wear installer to install it on the watch. Done
When my Galaxy Watch 4 is connected to my Samsung Note 10+, the notification settings in the Samsung Wearables app does not list any apps. So, I cannot set application notifications. They do show up when the watch is connected via wifi. However, the settings are not being saved. Anyone else having this issue or come across a solution?

try to add some more permissions meybe to wear and plugin app ( check if plugin has access to notification)
you can try to turn off wifi leave only bt on or maybe try to wipe cache from recovery on the watch dont know if it will help but hey some ppl say that it helps with battery drain so it is worth trying i guess.
Thanks for the quick suggestions. All permissions look correct. Is there a way to clear cache on apps on the watch or are you referring to clearing cache on apps on the phone?

i wish but any other of mine sugestions will force you to format watch : /
you could try to clear wear app but it will probbably force you to format your watch after but iam not sure of that.
If you can format your watch and set it all again just do it if not maybe w8 for other sugestions.
Before format unistall all galaxy app(health, plugin, monitor, wearable) and try to format your watch from recovery.
