Question GW4 Notification Settings Issue - Samsung Galaxy Watch 4

When my Galaxy Watch 4 is connected to my Samsung Note 10+, the notification settings in the Samsung Wearables app does not list any apps. So, I cannot set application notifications. They do show up when the watch is connected via wifi. However, the settings are not being saved. Anyone else having this issue or come across a solution?

try to add some more permissions meybe to wear and plugin app ( check if plugin has access to notification)
you can try to turn off wifi leave only bt on or maybe try to wipe cache from recovery on the watch dont know if it will help but hey some ppl say that it helps with battery drain so it is worth trying i guess.

Thanks for the quick suggestions. All permissions look correct. Is there a way to clear cache on apps on the watch or are you referring to clearing cache on apps on the phone?

All great suggestions. After trying all of them and rebooting the phone and watch Istill have the same problem. It's very strange that the apps will show up under the notification setting when using wifi but not Bluetooth. Any other suggestions?

Did you restore from a back up? If so try to start fresh

i wish but any other of mine sugestions will force you to format watch : /
you could try to clear wear app but it will probbably force you to format your watch after but iam not sure of that.
If you can format your watch and set it all again just do it if not maybe w8 for other sugestions.
Before format unistall all galaxy app(health, plugin, monitor, wearable) and try to format your watch from recovery.

Apps crashing after latest update

after latest update for model MHA-L29C185B186 apps are crashing.any news on this?
same happened to me. with some apps in my Chinese mate 9, i did a restart and clear out the cache then update apps and that fixed my issues
I have the same issue after the update, and it's very annoying: apps crashes in the middle of what you're doing, watching, or reading. Nothing seems to fix it
Yep, annoying closes. I think i'll rebrand to 432...
Same here...random crashes on apps after the update. Can anyone help?
Some general methods to try:
Clear out the cache of the app
Update the app
Settings - Developer options, Enable multiprocess WebView
......
nope
I have the same problem as well. I contacted Huawei support and they suggested to do a factory reset. I did that and the issue still persists. I believe something is wrong with the latest software update they pushed and they need to fix this ASAP.

I haven't noticed any apps crashing after yesterday's update, but for some reason the controls on my Bluetooth headphones no longer work when the phone is in lockscreen, only working when the music player I use (MX Player Pro) is active onscreen. Anyone else had this issue? BTW I've spent close to 4 hours trying to fix this in every possible area of 'settings' and have searched the forums here but have had no luck!
After the B194 update I have the same problem. Most apps close. No solution from Huawei service for now
Same here, apps crashing after last update. Clear cache or fully restore factory reset didn't help.
chinks =(
Same problem here.... After new update apps are crashing....
Sent from my MHA-L29 using Tapatalk
Another one with the same complaint. FB, Waze, Chrome .. just closing in the middle of use.
Same here...
There is no need to worry, just goto settings then goto battery then tap on top right corner of battery settings and turn off " close excessively power instensive apps". THATS IT.
It is enabled by default in the new firmware. So apps are being crashed automatically.
Screenshot is attached
Regards.
um, nope. this one reads 'background'. we are talking about foreground apps abruptly closing without any warning
+1. Real Racing crash randomly.
I have downgrade to B190 (without reset) and my game work perfectly again. But now , I realize that app camera and gallery don't work.

I've tried what you've written, I've been writing for a few hours and there hasn't been any closure. I think you're right, thank you very much.

Can't turn on notifications

I've had the watch for about a week now and notifications have been nothing but problems for me. Everything will work fine and then I'll just stop getting most notifications on my phone. When I go into the gear app on my S8 most of the apps are greyed out and I can't turn them on or off. The only fix I've found is restarting the watch, which really sucks because it turns all the notifications back to their defaults. So 4-5 times a day of restarting the watch and having to change all the notifications I want is getting pretty annoying.

Already running on stock firmware since I need it for s pay. I did a factory reset on both the phone and watch and the problem returned. Guess I'll wait for Oreo and hope it gets fixed.

Anyone use roku?

The Roku app on my 3a closes right after the splash screen. I've rebooted, reinstalled and can't get it going. Does anyone have Roku that can check?
I don't have Roku but I downloaded the app for you to test. I made it to this screen without any issues.

Thanks. I have no idea how to fix this issue now lol
Mine is working fine---I used the remote functions. My Roku stick is still on OS 9.0: 4142. If yours has been updated to 9.1, it may be different. It does seem to be the app. Try to delete cache and data on the app? Factory reset? :crying: Good luck.
Dumb little annoyances: I just spent over an hour and a factory reset to try to get my Google passwords to show on Chrome on 3a. Seems I had to sign out/in from PC to get it working--at least that's what worked but no info on web about such a thing. It's never been an issue on 4 other devices including iOS and Fire. Son had no issues with his new 3a and Chrome passwords. ????
I have Pixel build PD2A.190115.032
Roku build v.6.0.5.221254
All works well. I use the default launcher. I don't use Facebook messenger chat heads. A couple things that might interfere with Roku.

Had the same issue. Fixed it by doing the following:
1) under App Info enable permission for location, mic, storage, and allow modify system settings (under advanced)
2) don't remember if I opened the app and then went to App Info and cleared the storage or vice-versa
3) clearing storage reset the permissions, app opens and functions properly, permissions are requested on first time using features that require them
TLDR some combination of manually enabling permissions and clearing storage got it working for me
Hope that helps

thanks, but not what im looking for, i need to enable bluetooth debugging on the wearable app, not the watch, ive done that already
No idea yet...
IMHO on Watch you can choose between WiFi and BT in Developer Setting.
Sorry.
Best Regards
yeah but i want to give options to connet to the program for both bluetooth and wifi and without being able to configure adb debugging for bluetooth in the wearable app
Code:
adb forward tcp:4444 localabstract:/adb-hub
adb connect localhost:4444
wont connect
IMHO the good news is...
It is NOT "simple Question".
Sorry I have no further idea(s) yet.
Best Regards
from what i can tell it "was" an option in the wear os companion app, i say "was", because i cant seem to find it in the current version
You talking about the debug menu when you tap "Galaxy Wearable" in the about screen in the wearable app?

I tried this and nothing happened. I just go through the Developer Tools on the watch. Sometimes I have to toggle WIFI for it to connect.

I followed your instructions again and it worked! I opened Galaxy Wearable and then choose About Galaxy Wearable. Page opens and I tapped on the words Galaxy Wearable. Opens Get Dump and access to many options. I was trying to do this from the wrong screen when I first select the Galaxy Wearable app. Duh. I needed to select the menu (3 lines) at top left and choose About Galaxy Wearable. Still learning.

Question Galaxy watch 4 - watsapp and messages notifications not receiving

I tried to search a similar thread - unable to find it hence posting a new thrread. Recently bought Galaxy watch 4. I am not getting watsapp alerts and messages (sms) notifications in my watch. I tried resetting the watch, restarting both phone & watch, allowed all permissions but still not working. Watch is upto date.
Can someone help or anyone faced similar issue ?
I have the same problem. watch 4 clasic 46mm with note 20 ultra phone
i reseted both device but the problem not solved !
Ok. I was about to reset my device as that is the only option left for me. I tried everything else. Buying costly watches and it is not even provding the basic functionality. They are taking customers for granted.
Do you have only watsapp issues or both text messages and watsapp issue ?
Informer: messages for Wear OS - Apps on Google Play
WhatsApp voice messages, call notifications, message history, vibration patterns
play.google.com
Give it a try
