Question SafetyNet Fail in Global Official ROM - Xiaomi Poco X3 Pro

That's it. I installed the global with the twrp. Lost the twrp on porpose to stay clean on the global and for some reason the safety net doesn't pass. Does anyone know the reason??? Is it because the unlocked boatloader???

Yeap:
1/relock the bootloader https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/flash-tool-guide-use-xiaomi-flash-tool.4262425/
or
2/root your phone and use magisk hide

I'm sorry. But are you sure? I saw a case of someone that locked it and still got it failing the safety net test.

Btw. I've got a warning to all of you who installed 195.
I
hard bricked my P20 Pro (L29 C432 locked) when I tried to downgrade from 195 to Oreo 161 using hisuite and rollback firmware 161.
IT's totally bricked, cannot boot to any mode whatsoever. I'll ship it to service today.

DO NOT INSTALL IT. There are rumors going around that it really messes with the bootloader. Some people reported it being locked after upgrading and it not being unlockable anymore with any known method
EDIT: Seems to be a false alarm. I've heard it from some people who run these unlocking sites. Better safe than sorry, I guess

I can't confirm that, installed, still unlocked and root via canary magisk still works. The one change that I noted is that Huawei finally fixed the home gesture, it now works like the mate 20 pro

Yes, it was for me.
I did it a factory reset lowlevel and the device remain with BL and FRP unlock.
No issues with OEM unlock enable/disable.

Unlock and root Poco F2 Pro

Hi experts,
Anybody care to share proven method to unlock and root? I have done some googling and found there were slight difference in rooting method especially. Currently waiting for my unlocking timer to expire and hope to get good and proven method. I saw some recommended flashing verify and vbmeta.img? This is new to me as I did not do this for my Mi6. My understanding is that, flash TWRP then place Magisk.zip and flash using TWRP and that's it.

I used Miunlock just had to wait then I tried to install TWRP but it was for the K-30 pro and it was in Chinese which I don't read so I was kinda lost on what I was doing ended up soft bricking my phone but found videos on YouTube on how to fix(THANK GOD) So I'm just gonna wait til a proper TWRP is developed hopefully TEAM-WIN
I unlocked and rooted today using:
- Mi Unlock Tool
- TWRP
- Magisk 20.4

Yes, let's hope we have official TWRP soon. I'm also worried of using unofficial release TWRP and bricking up my new unit. I wonder why it is 128MB big for the chinese version. My Mi6 TWRP is only 30MB size...

If you just want root you don't need TWRP, just an unlocked bootloader. Patch the stock boot.img with Magisk Manager, transfer it to your computer and fastboot flash the patched boot image.

Well, you don't have to postpone it. You can just delay unlocking your phone. Unlocking phone will wipe the phone so always take backup. Once your unlock is approved, you can do it anytime using your mi unlock tool.

I think twrp is essential for those who wants to root their phone as it offers backup which can be restored in case anything wrong happen during os upgrade.

Could you share the steps how were you able to unlock your device. Since I've been stuck on the "Couldn't Unlock. Please add your account in MIUI settings." - which I've already done several times. Yeah, there had been several threads discussing it and it seems to be a common thing for Xiaomi devices. Just want to ask if you have encountered an error about the sim not being activated or similar to it? I figured this could be the culprit behind the error.
Why should i root my phone? What features do you guys use that needs rooting?

Question Google Pay (NFC feature) still works even if I unlock the bootloader and flash another ROM?

So, If I install another ROM can I still pay with NFC or its the to same with others phones that if you unlock the bootloader this function stops to work?

This question is relate to SafetyNet. If you can pass SafetyNet, you can have working NFC.

You can relock bootloader with proper MIUI.
But even with unmodified MIUI, or even if you didn't unlock bootloader, you can still have faulty NFC. So you can't make sure, only try and error.
Life is just like this.

If you're using Magisk, try using the Universal SafetyNet Fix module. Since you're on a custom ROM, you'll probably need to use MagiskHide Props Config to spoof a valid device signature.
Also, be aware that Google Pay no longer depends on SafetyNet attestation for device integrity; Google is moving to a new "Play Integrity" API. More information here
For more information on how to get Google Pay working with Magisk, check the Google Pay Magisk discussion thread.

Precisely, OTA allows to update with a recovery rom, not to downgrade.
You want to brick your phone, do it, then you will have to pay to recover the phone since the bootloader is locked.

No need to post You tube videos showing that everything is possible and easily circumvented.
I know many who regret having used You tube tutorials before asking the questions on XDA.
The safest way is to unlock the bootloader.
Please note that on the video at 7 minutes 36 we see the poco padlock which is open, which means that the bootloader is unlocked.
