Hey Guys, I own OPO 16GB. I recently upgraded my PC from Windows 8.1 Pro to Windows 10 Pro. Since i upgraded my system my OPO is not detecting in MTP File Transfer Mode. Its connecting and working fine in Fast boot Mode on Windows 10 PRO. I have a Windows 7 Laptop too MTP is working fine with my laptop. How can i get it work with Windows 10 PC? i also try many methods which i found on Google like installing SAMSUNG and MOTOROLA drivers but it doesn't work.
I have upgraded to Windows 10 as well - but choose clean install and not experiencing this.
When I connect the OPO in MTP, it is recognized normally as a storage device and can be use in Explorer right away. Plus for MTP you do not need any drivers, only for fastboot.
Working here too, WIndows 10Pro not a clean install
Working fine for me, I updated my Windows 8.1 Pro (not a clean install) laptop and it's all working correctly
Hiiiii
After updating my Redmi Note 7 pro to miui 12
I don't know why, but I can't connect my Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 pro to my laptop/desktop via USB to transfer files, and I tried different solutions
1-I've logged into my Mi account.
2- install Qualcoom and adb and Google drivers
3- I've enabled dev settings, OEM Unlocking, USB debugging, and Mi Unlock Status.
4- changing many cables and my pc and laptop.
5- i tried to connect note 7 pro to my pc in fastboot mode but pc cant recognised it.
6- i made default USB configuration, file transfer
When I connect my phone, its only charging and not connected
Is there anything I can do to fix this problem?
Anyone has a solution to this?
?
Settings, additional settings, option for developers, and default USB configuration, file transfer and so should go

Hello, i might be a bit late to post a reply here but i faced the same issue of my laptop not detecting my note 7 pro and the fault was in my windows version it was 8.1 pro N and i came to realise that windows N versions don't have media pack features which are required in order to detect the phone when is connected through usb. The solution was fairly simple all i had to do is head out to Microsoft website, download media pack feature for Windows N versions installer, install it then reboot the system wait for it to apply the update then try out and connect the phone, it detected! Hope you find this helpful.

Work flow if you want to update pc manager to last version
1. Install pc manager and make sure pc manager running well (using link above)
2. Backup version.dll from Huawei pc manager installation folder
3. Change your date to manual specific date (look step no 1)
4. Click Refresh and copy your Serial Number (its important if you don't wanna change NFC Mode)
5. Uninstall Older Pc Manager (delete residue file), restart is needed
6. Downlead latest Pc Manager from Huawei website
7. Put installer in Huawei pc manager in step no 1
- you can rename latest pc manager with older name (change the older one), or
- change url when install pc manager with latest pc manager url name
8. Change serial number to custom S/N (put the Serial number from step no 4)
9. Install like step no 1
10. Put version.dll to Huawei pc manager installation folder (like step no 2)
Done (if you failed connect in first attempt just restart your pc)
p.s sorry if my English is not good, feel free to ask if any step is not clear
hi, thanks for the guide, everything is working for me

Hi. I did all that wrote. After i delete old version i install new PCManager_Setup_11.1.1.101(C001D001).exe and put file version.dll to installation folder (but there wasnt file with name version.dll, so i just copy). Finilly, when i try connect tablet (matepad 11 HarmonyOS) to pc i take error ("version driver is out date, fail start multiscreen").
If i choose the phone conncet (not tablet) i get connection, but in this case multiscren not waorking - phone is not compatible.
Do you can get me advise to get multiscreen?

Hi!
It works nice, and finally I can use this last version in a better way, but I still have problems. When I am trying to connect my HUAWEI MatePad with Harmony Os, I can only connect it as a phone, but it does not work to activate multiple screens, acoordding on the tablet, due to Bluetooth problems, although I do have it activated.
I can't find my tablet from the tablet connection section and Huawei Share doesn't work either. I don't understand why. Does anyone have the answer?
Thanks in advance

Also, could you tell me what's your Pc's Bluetooth version? I started thinking that mine is probably too older and that's why PC Manager doesn't work completely fine for me.

I'm using Asus Strix GL503 and Huawei p40 pro, i think it's not about your Bluetooth driver.

For tablet it's required other things, I still trying to see what's make PC manager split connection for phone and tablet.
With older PC manager (original thread), can you connect PC manager with matepad?
I don't have matepad so I can't try it myself.
Can you see version.dll if you install original PC manager (from Huawei website) ?
If there's version.dll you can try this version.

I tried connecting my Matepad with the older version of PC Manager through QR code, but in that version, I get an error in the Navigator App.
With the last version I can connect my Phone and Matepad with the QR code, but I can't use the multiple screens function. From my tablet I have the option to enable it, but when I try it, it shows a Bluetooth error. In the other hand, when I try the Matepad connection I simply don't see my device
Also, I don't have NFC in my PC. My USB Bluetooth memory is version 4.0 and Im using an ethernet cable for internet connection.
I have downloaded and installed the official latest version (11.1.1.101), and there wasn't any version.dll file into the PC Manager directory, so I simply copy the file from the older version of the app (from the original thread).
I'd like to know a couple of things:
Is the Multiple Screens function working for you in your Huawei P40 Pro? And can you use Huawei Share effectively?

Hi JohelM98,
I have Matepad 11, but an old Lenovo pc (3years). It's needed bluetooth 5.0 and wifi 6?
I've tried the kismarian's post and xRaft's update, but doesn't work for me.

I think that you need the Bluetooth 5.0 but the wifi 6 isn't necessary, only by wifi 5.
Try with another pc with Bluetooth 5.0 if you can and then you can try.
When i download the latest huawei pc manager in my non huawei laptop windows 11, it cannot be installed.. please help
Hi, I did everything but the problem is between my Lenovo laptop and the Matepad 11 connection only lasts for seconds than gets disconnected how can I solve this?

In my case with Acer Aspire 3, the multi-screen is only connected and working if it is attached to a USB cable. And after some time my laptop suddenly restarted and appear an error notification (when I plug out the USB cable). I wonder why. Can you help to solve my problem?

I think that is the problem. With my bluetooth device mediatek version 5 can´t search huawei devices, for example my matepad 10.8 2020 and huawei p40 pro. Anyway, my huawei p40 pro can connected using the last version browser and the last version of pc manager. If someone knows how can resolve it, i apreciate it so mucho. Thanks.
I use the same tablet and confirm it works well

Hi.. is anybody else have same problem like this?
I install this method on 2 laptop ;
1. Install on HP Omen 15 (i5 10th gen, RTX 2060) - successfull to run Multiscreen Collaboration.
2. Install on Lenovo Thinkbook 14 (i5 10th gen, Intel graphics) - unsuccessful, error message " Driver version out of date, unable to launch multi-screen collaboration " (I already do paste version.dll)
I found Huawei statement on Huawei official site about this error on some type of their matebook, but I can't fix on non Huawei laptop.
Can someone help, or is there anybody to face this error?
