After updating my Redmi Note 7 pro to miui 12
I don't know why, but I can't connect my Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 pro to my laptop/desktop via USB to transfer files, and I tried different solutions
1-I've logged into my Mi account.
2- install Qualcoom and adb and Google drivers
3- I've enabled dev settings, OEM Unlocking, USB debugging, and Mi Unlock Status.
4- changing many cables and my pc and laptop.
5- i tried to connect note 7 pro to my pc in fastboot mode but pc cant recognised it.
6- i made default USB configuration, file transfer
When I connect my phone, its only charging and not connected
Is there anything I can do to fix this problem?
Anyone has a solution to this?

Hello, i might be a bit late to post a reply here but i faced the same issue of my laptop not detecting my note 7 pro and the fault was in my windows version it was 8.1 pro N and i came to realise that windows N versions don't have media pack features which are required in order to detect the phone when is connected through usb. The solution was fairly simple all i had to do is head out to Microsoft website, download media pack feature for Windows N versions installer, install it then reboot the system wait for it to apply the update then try out and connect the phone, it detected! Hope you find this helpful.

I purchased a new Yuphoria Mobile. I have not installed sd card nor enabled developer options. When I connect to Laptop the phone is not getting detected. I just want to transfer some music files and I am not interested in enabling developer options or rooting phone. Can I do this? HOW?
I think there was a problem with the connecting USB cable. I tried with a brand new cable and I was able to connect laptop to Mobile. How do I delete this thread. This looks like a silly mistake.

First check with another usb cable. If it is working check with another device. If drivers is a problem. Go to control panel and update drivers. Or delete and allow windows to discover and load drivers online from windows. If it still does not work. Use Windows Dr.Fixit application you can download from windows download. Also update windows 7 with latest security updates. Also Check if your anti virus is updated and it is configured to allow devices connecting to laptop. If not enable it in antivirus settings.
If you determine the problem is not with the PC but could be with the phone. Go to Settings > Sytem > About Phone > Build no. Touch on build no 7 times quickly and it opens up developer options. Enable developer option and try.
When you connect a usb drive if you get a pop up asking connect as 1. Media device, 2.Camera, 3.Charge only. Choose 1.Media device if you choose 3 your computer will not detect the usb.

I cannot connect my DOOGEE Y300 to my Windows 10 PC as USB storage. The PC makes the usual sound when making a USB connection but the phone does not appear in Windows Explorer. The phone appears as "phone" in "Devices and Printers" but I have not been able to enable it. Has anyone else had this problem (and fixed it).

There should be a notification on the device when you connect it, pull that notification down and it might say its connected to device for charging, tap that notification and see if it pops another menu up with more options, select MTP for file transfer.

Do you have the USB drivers for your device installed? The drivers that auto install when you connect to PC are not always enough. There should be drivers for your device brand that can be downloaded and installed manually.
Is your device recognized in device manager?

I purchased panda gamepad pro but it needs to be activate by USB debugging and the PC doesn't detect Realme 5 when using usb debugging but for normal file transfer it is ok? Anyone having same problem? Any solution? T.i.A

Go to settings -> about phone, tap 7 times on build no. -> go back and then additional settings -> go to developer option enable it -> find usb debbuging and enable it.

Same problem
Pc must detect phone with usb debugging in charge only mode but it doesn't work
It works good when it transfers files but this app won't be activated in transfer files mode

Problem with Panda Mouse pro activation in Realme phones
Even I am facing the same problem with Realme 1, Realme 2 pro, Realme 3 pro phones.
if you select the mode charge only then activation script does not detect phone, if you select file transfer panada pro getting activated but once you disconnect the USB cable it going back to inactive state. Tried with both Android V9, V10 every where same issue with realme phone.
Although in Vivo phone activation happening without any issues.
Any idea how to activate Panda pro in Realme phone???
Hi everyone, I am having trouble copying files from my PC with the USB cable.
since when it starts to copy the file but the computer stops or crashes it does not make a copy on my Note 20 Ultra.
My computer has windows 10 20H1 installed.
What could this failure be due to?
Do you recommend a good USB cable to connect it to the PC and the Note 20 Ultra?
Is there an app to make copies of files between the PC and the Note 20 Ultra without using cables?

Have you checked to see if your drivers need to be updated?
Please go into Device Manager when your phone and PC are connected via usb, and right click on your phone and try to update the driver.

Or rollback the driver. Try a different port and cable.
Check Event Viewer for error messages.
No 3rd party apk needed, file transfers should be easy. You can try using a flash stick as an intermediary.
On the Android enable Developer options and try changing the default USB configuration.

if i connect my Xiaomi Poco 3x nfc to my car or PC.(on PC i dont even see my phone files and my PC dont recognise my phone.)
i dont get the usb notification to select file transfer or the others.
if i connect my phone to my car or PC it begins with charcing.
on develepmond i opend my usb debuggin.
and selected file transfer but it doenst stil work.
how can i fix this problem?
is it hardware problem or not?

on Windows PC this could be famous MTP bug. uninstall drivers, switch usb to PTP mode, install drivers, then switch back to file transfer, install drivers again.

ok on pc i can fix it with drivers.
yes other phones are connecting on my car.
i want also that it works on my car.
Xiaomi devices have bug it loses default USB settings every disconnect. maybe check in developer options again when connected to car.
