Yes it's actually... an improvement!
Twitter lag is a little bit better, but Gallery and Chrome scrolling lag completely gone. App switcher lag is gone.
This is actually impressive.
ed I have 0.5x animations because I live on the edge.

i think i will try with 0.5!
ive always found that the animations and transitions create a little lag, i have kept them off ever since they were introduced, but if your saying the new update seems faster even with them enabled il give it a whirl, although, i havent experienced any lag as of yet on my current firmware
Yeah this is a big improvement. Coincidence maybe, I dunno.

ah yes it does seem a little more fluid, i wish they would bring back the "scrollable" wallpaper, so uou see part of a landscape image on one screen and the other parts as you swipe to the next screen
Update is on BR marketing too, for Snapdragon.
Same as others, phone seems more smooth, but I never had experienced scroll lags on Chrome/Gallery app.
My csc is EUX 512GB Exynos UK but I haven't received any update. Mine is stuck at AVCJ

Yes - same here! I got an update to the One UI Home Launcher before the AVDA update and it improved some of the animations & now it`s even better.
Just got the OTA notification, I'm installing it right now!

In this video, you can see the new android market, kinda like the Windows Phone 7 one. It's faster and better than the previous one.
You can download the APK from here - http://www.mediafire.com/?vdocx41t37rnn6y#1
Then, install it as a normal app, and you're done !

It is not faster, its bulky, blocky and all over the place. Scrolling is mega lame. I hate it because it totally sucketh! An easy uninstall takes you back to exactly the way you had it which is nice. No reboot needed even.

Afraid I have to agree, it's fugly and slow. I hope I can refuse the update for as long as possible.
Well that sucks! But as for the new layout I quite like it.
It blows monkey chunks. Anyone who likes the new market doesn't ask for much.

The new market is nice, but well, it's slightly slower. Hopefully we'll get an official update soon. Till then, i'll put up with the lag.
I'm currently on CM7 ROM (ported by superkid). I installed the new market update and I experience frequent FC's. I uninstalled the market update and now it works perfectly. Anyone here experiencing the same problem?

I think it looks much better than the last version but it has very slow scrolling and takes too much time loading.
Yep it looks nice but to slow for my liking.
Great, thank you
Same, really slow on my side too.
Uninstall and go back to earlier version. Pray that the update is discretionary and not forced. I doubt it will be any faster and it surely won't get any prettier

Most Poetic Statement Ever. Lmfao
Sent from my phone, cos my pc is up the fritz.
When I installed L first time on my Nexus 4 I loved it, it was epic, I had it since first day it was ported, then I bought nexus 5 and installed it ,and I noticed that kitkat has faster Ui. L has weird rule which it opens something u click after the material animation is done which makes phone look slow plus it's so annoying and on nexus 4 it was perfect because it wasn't as fast as nexus 5, weird, I think I'm going to stay on kitkat :/
Tried the L preview and I switched back to KK for some app issues. When the final images will get released I will switch back to L though.
Sent from my Nexus 5 using XDA Free mobile app
kitkat for me. it runs all my apps, has better battery and no 'puke on the screen' weird colours.
also i agree with op about the weird feel the lollipop preview has
46k benchmark with Android Lollipop stock rom and ElementalX kernel @2.6Ghz very fast at least as Kitkat. Using as daily driver and love it. Will stay with the preview and the Stock rom waiting a MahdiRom version of Lollipop.

Mate 7 was released October 2014. Five Months to go for it's first birthday. Go get an HTC or a Sony. LOL
LOL
Well this beta will the first EVIDENCE of the existance of Lollipop for Mate 7...
oh my god this frustrating just release it now please.. I am desperate for some performance increase and better GUI speed...
It gets more and more frustrated, the frustrating has been freezed earlier cause I have been amazed by the big screen experience and good screen, but now when I am used to it I am more frustrated with the slow performance and multi tasking.. I know most people will not notice it but if you work fast and switch between apps fast constantly you get frustrated... Lollipop hopefully improve some things.
The people who do not demand better speed they just use their phone slow, and do not notice the lag.. the lag is for me noticeable.
I assume you already tried changing the power saving mode, considering the default one isn't optimized for performance...
Also lowering the animation scale in the developer options.
Hi guys,
I trust Huawei are sure that by May the new firmware release LP.

I bought this phone 2 days ago and I have to say it does have delays stutters and everything. the animations aren't smooth at all.
I was trying to see if anyone had any luck trying to make it faster.
my animations are on 0.5x and i have disabled a lot of packages but freaked out a bit about KNOX. should I disable that too? I'm not sure if it made much of a difference since it's slower but I did get a lot more battery life on my s7 edge after doing this!

The lower the setting the faster the phone will feel. in my opinion. So. .1 or .2 will feel faster than the .5 that you're using

What's funny is that the only reason this phone lags is Samsung's bloatware!

Is this basically the same thing as screen smoothness on Oreo-based custom ROM's (under settings>system) or would it further help with scrolling on Oreo? I haven't tried out P yet.

Dont know depends on if the feature is included inside the oreo source, i think it is just for the shakiness of scrolling in P and the google devs added this to correct it for the one plus 6 latest P preview.. make a backup and try.

Hmm would make sense that it is only helpful in areas where signal is weak. Where it is strong it could mess it up
Here's what the new messages app looks like in full material 2.. as much as i could get working my substratum screwed up the lines in between each contact. I think..Yes, this has nothing to do with anything but it has potential.
