About battery performance... - Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite Questions & Answers

Good evening friends ... sorry for my English.
How is the battery performing after 10-12 months of use?
Has anyone replace the battery? Is it a process I can do on my own?
How much does the replacement cost as a job by a service, without warranty?
Thanks!

2 hrs is a very short lifetime... does the phone gets hot? if yes you need repairing...
for what i've read about batteries, all except originals doesn't let your gps work, so take your choice according to your need

2 hours i means when i use internet and when im online, when im on standby its about 20 hours something like that, its problem for me u know and about overheating htc is ok no overheating i think soo working fine just battery is sh** i just buy battery can u tell me if i make a good choice ?
Here is link:

BP E270 is the official extended battery from HTC, it comes with a slightly thicker cover in mat finish, and the GPS works. I just received mine and I think it looks great, just slightly thicker. I believe the 3rd party ones are even thicker than BP E270.

20 hours standby is pretty normal for the 900 mAh battery.

Get Mugen Power 2000 or 3000 mAh.

Tell you your opinion about this...

Considering buying this extended battery although the battery life on this phone is great..just need for trips and etc..
http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-6200mAh..._Cell_Phone_PDA_Batteries&hash=item5d42581bd9
Would like to hear what you think about this..
Personally I'd spend the extra few dollars and get the Zero Lemon.

this battery will only hav like 80% of the capacity that is listed...
if u want a bigger battery try zero lemon / Anker batteries they are of good quality
but best is just buy the battery kit from samsung !! works like a charm charges dead batteries in 1hr 30mins !!

Battery replacement at service center

Has anybody got their battery replaced at a service center? How was your experience?
hey,
I personally got my battery replace yesterday, my battery was really in bad conditions and battery life was awful. I bring a battery I had purchased on amazon (not OEM) for the reaplacement, It should have cost 20 bucks. It should because my battery was inflated and distort, therefore by trying to take it off at the service center they broke a screen connector. So the screen had to be replaced too, they did it really quickly the next day. End up costing me 50 bucks. But I dont regret it at all. The battery life is like new ,4h sot and more.

Oh that's great. I saw the cost for motherboard replacements, etc. on the HiCare app and freaked out thinking even a simple battery repair would cost a lot of money. How did u get ur battery in such a bad shape?

I think I may have overcharge the battery but I'm not sure about it.
I personally don't think quick charge is good for Li batteries. The faster you charge them, the more internal resistance is created. That means shorter battery lifespan.

Chenge the battery

I bought an original battery on ebay.
What should I check on the battery before install it?
I am going to give the mobile to a shop to do the replacement. What do you suggest should I check if the job is well done?
Thanks
Hey,
first of all, you probably bought a fake battery, and you will notice that after using your phone for 1 month afterwards.
There are no reliable sources for original samsung batterys than Samsung himself or there offical partner!
All "Original" batterys out there are either used or cheap knock offs.
Remember, if you bring it to a random store, your phone will loose its waterproofness! (only Samsung itself can repair it and keep it waterproof afterwards). And youll loose your warranty if there is some left.
(wouldnt be a problem for me but perhaps for you)
If you get your phone back from the store, look around the edges and the back panel should sit perektly (have a look at your phone right now to check).
before you leave the store have a overall check of your phone:
type *#0*# in your phone app and test every single part of the phone.
thats all
*edit*: regard checking the battery: normaly you cant check them. Only way would be a full charg and messure the discharge to see its real size, but im not a electrician, so i cant help with that.
Many thanks.
I bought this one.
https://www.ebay.it/itm/162984665547
The one I have on my phone has 2999 mAh working (Accubattery stats).
I am really in doubt about what to do.
Should I replace it?
PS: i do not care of the warranty anymore..
Its impossible to tell without messuring it. But as i said before 95% its a knock off from china.
Sadly Accubattery stats are not reliable.
Regarding your last question:
If your phone looses more than 3% of battery over night while everything is turned on (wifi etc). Check your battery stats if something is eating up your battery. Moreover you should reach 4h of screen on time (in device maintance --> battery --> battery usage of Android, tap on "screen"). Everything nearby is good. So that should be the normal lifespan of our battery (s8+ , dualsim will have a little less).
So if you have significant less power and you cant make it throught a day, i would recommend to check the price for an replacment battery from samsung and get it build in in a shop, via samsung or do it by yourself.
btw would be great if you could post the price here, im interested!

my advice, call samsung to get a original replacement battery and send your ebay one back.
3h30min SOT in my eyes is doable but thats up to you.
Samsung says the price to "fix" the problem is about 65€
https://www.samsung.com/it/support/assistenzamobile/preventivo/
sure, the service is included in that price. But when i called them to get only the battery, they gave me a phone number of an certified partner who only sold the battery without the repair service. That was for my s7 edge.
I received the battery.. The QR code works and give me this code
GH43-04726A+AA1K129WS+13841
Is there any way to understand if it is original?
not that i know, ill stick with my previous answere. There are no originals out there, because Samsung is only selling them themselfes.
Regards
Thx, i see your point. But I had already bought it before you suggested me

Best way to determine battery health?

Hi all,
I have my OP6 for about a year and a half now, and I'm pretty sure I've noticed a decrease in battery life.
I tried searching, but couldn't find any reliable way to determine battery health?
Would appreciate any advice

Well, I don't know about reliable I have used AccuBattery app. It logs your current and voltage during charging and discharging phases and calculates your real battery capacity. The more charge cycles, the more accurate the result.

IMO don't worry too much about it. I did it with my OPO and honeslt there was no point, I was just obsessing over the battery degradation. Just use the phone and if the battery really starts to go downhill then order a new one.

Yeah, that's a good tactic
I think the battery got worse due to a couple of factors, including capacity degradation. (According to AccuBattery it's about 85-86%)
Did you replace your battery on your own? I saw a video online and it looked a bit complicated.

Yes I did, really wasn't much of a problem. The only thing is that it might take you a few tries till you get a decent battery. I did order mine from Ali Express and they're not always the best quality.
AccuBattery is tried and true to me. I once used it to measure a new battery that was advertised as 3000mAh but written on the battery was '2800mAh'. Surely enough, after a few days of running it, it said it was 2800mAh on the dot.
IMO accubattery Is trash. He Always recognized battery capacity about 86% (2900-3000). I had the same value now and 2 Years ago so...
I installed it on mine a couple of days ago. I now know my 2 year old battery is at 77% of its initial battery. Battery life is still good though, but I might be investing on a new one from AliExpress sometime soon.
