its already got the Battery power for it. i always find it funny how high powered phones like the Mytouch 4G and G2 have great processor speeds, but lower mAh batteries. Im getting amazing battery life on my Optimus T with 3g turned off and music playing all day. its currently 12 hours into the day and im still at 85% battery life.
gotta love this phone.
& also practice strict regimen of Do and don’t battery table on Lithium-ion (Li-ion) , as i usually start to charge when battery juice left around 30%

Good to know. For me personally, I just charge my phone in my car while i drive to work (putting it at 100%), use it all day (down to 70-80%), then charge in my car on the way home, (bringing it back to 90-95%). leaving it idle at night with 3G off and Wifi on leaves the battery almost untouched.
This seems to work much better on this phone than on my Mytouch 3G. that phone cant last even half a day on a single charge, So I dont know if this good battery life has to do with LG making the phone consume power in a certain way, but whatever the reason, I'm having a great time with it.
here is extended battery

someone tested it?
I use mugen 1800, pretty good for me, but not very cheap. But I don't think that battery add much time to my phone's life
yeah, optimus one drain battery very fast.

So is this the same battery:
http://cgi.ebay.com/MUGEN-1800mAh-E...ccessories&hash=item230ffe34ab#ht_5850wt_1139
Also will it work in the optimus v as well or no? And do you think its a worthy upgrade?
I miss having extremely long battery life on my droid eris with my innocell 3500mah battery. Thing lasted forever.
mine dies very very fast..like texting all day (with a bit of gaming) means its dead by like 3 or 4 and I charge it all night and wake up at about 8. so its pretty short.

I bought 2 batteries rated 1500mAh and a charger on ebay for $10. I just could not justify paying $47 for the 1800mAh battery.
gadgets N gizmos website has a 3000maH battery. i have one and it rawks.. Thats all i can say
hmmm i checked ebay and all other possible sources and couldnt find any 3000maH battery for optimus One. Maybe you have battery for Optimus S? and this battery goes with new back cover because battery is alot bigger. Can you confirm that battery back cover from LG Optimus S is the same one on LG Optimus One? Because mugenpower with 1800 maH battery is way to expensive.TY
has anyone tried any of the aftermarket batteries, whether it be from a store, ebay, amazon, etc.
I ordered a 2200mah battery for my Infuse off ebay for $8.
I am going to try that out and see if I get anymore life out of it.
I would have gotten the 3500mah battery, but I use an otterbox and I dont think it would fit since it has the bigger cover to hold the bigger battery.
I work in a metal forging plant, so I have to use an otterbox for my work... so it is a must have if I want my phone to last.
I did order a 3500mah battery for my wifes Samsung Captivate.. She doesn't really use/need a case. I got that off ebay as well.. for about the same price.
I hope her phone lasts longer, because she can't even get a day out of it... hers is rooted running MIUI.

I just got one of them 3500 batteries from amazon and its a solid battery, it wont fit on the case because i have the Otterbox case and cant use it with this, but you can definitely tell the difference in how long it lasts, and the case fits on the back of the phone great it has tabs and snaps right in. I use this battery when i am at home using wifi or alot of power on my phone and use the Samsung battery when i leave. Great investment for $10 but when you have the case on the phone it won't do you no good.

Getting a larger battery will help, but there's a lot of ways you can manage your phone's power consumption to dramatically increase your battery's life.
Take a look here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1510745
All I've done is use the power management program Juice Defender (on extreme setting, so data is off unless I toggle it on), not use a live wallpaper, and use a Gingerbread ROM (R3VELATION). With light to moderate use I get about a day of life, and if I took further steps I could even get more out of my battery than that.
EDIT: Whoops, you're the same poster as here, so it looks like the new larger capacity battery has solved your battery problems. I'll just leave this post up here anyway since it might help others.
Would the bigger battery cause it to overheat? or damage the phone in anyway?

Bought the two pack of 1800 batteries from Anker at Amazon. they work drivers. I no longer have my phone plugged in as I can just charge all of the batteries using their awesome wall charger and such one in when a battery dies.

I also recommend to use dock charger like on ebay, i bought also 2200mAh batterys so i can charge them both and the free one can charge much faster since it's not in take-and-give cycle like when it's in phone usage.

Came in here to ask the same question about aftermarket batteries...was thinking about buying the OEM one off ATT site for $30 because I don't see an official aftermarket battery and i'm not sure I want to buy a $10 aftermarket off of amazon or ebay because of stories I hear about cheap China made batteries exploding or damaging the phone in some way
I just placed an order for this.....
http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-SGH-i...BMJ8/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1332809949&sr=8-2
The description doesn't say so but all the reviews say it comes with an OEM battery along with the charger...great deal for $30 in my opinion if it is all OEM
The thing I've read about these batteries is they don't have a shelf life. Meaning as soon as they are made they start to depreciate. Then they sell the old ones on e bay, amazon at reduced prices as they don't last as long as a freshly hot off the press battery.
I have never had any luck in buying a extra mha rating battery, having it last an extra long time. I got Chinese 2500mah it don't last that long, and then I went and got a high capacity gold 2430mah it only last as long as a 1750mah , rather I have no idea how long normal is, as I got my infuse at a pawn shop used, battery last about 5-6 hours, normal usage, but what is normal? What is the basis of comparison? I mostly use it for movies, and wifi and, angry birds which eat my battery up.
My theory is the more you pay the younger they are, a 4 dollar batter last less then a 10th dollar battery. But I don't have the monies to buy every battery in all the price ranges to test and do all that techy stuff. To me it is just a grip shoot. Hit or miss.

can't learn how to fix it, if you don't break it first
All batteries age during use.
Aging factors are temperature and also voltage.
I think temperature is well known but I don't hear as many people talk about voltage.
Charging your phone to 100% and leaving it on the charger encourages aging.
Some of the cheapo's are not as resistant to aging as the stock batteries. Common story is they work fine for the first day or two and then start to noticeably lose capacity. I noticed that when I tried out the Fujei battery.
Adding to the whole mess as you alluded... evaluating battery life quantitatively is not an easy deal. My usage varies every day.
I get a rough feeling when my battery life is fading but it's subtle.
Battery Monitor Widget has a feature where it estimates your actual 100% battery capacity in milli-Amp-hours (1750 = factory spec but actual will be different and will decrease over time as the battery ages). I think that if you use BMW and allow your phone an uninterrupted charge from low voltage like 20% up to 100% (without using the phone during that period), then it will develop a pretty good estimate of your battery 100% milli-amp-hour capacity (because our phone does have a charging current monitor which BMW accesses, but it does not have a battery discharge current monitor). That's a lot of work, but probably not a bad thing to do once a month to keep track of your capacity so you'd see a trend like 1750 one month, 1700 the next month, etc. I might start doing that some day..
3500mAh Battery
It's been a week, and my battery life is going UP. I plugged in today, and at 1931 hrs today, I still had 61% of my battery life left. I have not had any appreciable decline in battery life, nor reduction in longivity. With the stock battery, my phone is completely dead by 1715. I unplug daily at 0800. My battery life has easily doubled by purchasing a no-name battery from an Ebay seller. I'm quite impressed with it, and I spent $80 on an extended battery when I had my TP2.
Has anyone try those 2500 mah batteries from ebay? I am interest in buying those since they are only 4 USD each. What do you guys think?
So yeah as the title say i have some questions about my htc sensation stock battery which is acting extremely wierd. When I for example has 34% battery life (when going to bed) and when i wake up i have 96%? And also if i have maybe 40% and i restart the phone it can switch it to like 60%? Anyone know what this is because its pissing me off.!

I'm having similar behaviour out of my battery, it drains extremely quickly and I also get the level changes after a full reboot. I'd like to know if there's any way to fix it or if I have to get a new battery
You might want to try a new battery, my stock battery was draining so fast my phone was dead in 3 hours! I bought a extended battery and happily now my device with heavy use lasts around 26 hours! Most people prefer Anker battery, it's a reliable extended battery for under 20 dollars. Many people really love the Anker battery. I wanted the most juice I could get so I went for the mugen 3800mah. This battery has been great for me but it's not for everyone because it will make your phone thicker where as anker will not. It also is much more costly than anker. It just depends on your needs. But I suggest you start with anker. It is a great battery and won't disappoint. Hope this is helpful and best wishes.

Yeah I had a feeling that was it alright! I have been looking at the mugen 3800 and would love to get one, but as you said the only thing putting me off is the huge thickness with that battery installed. Might follow your advice and try the anker first. Btw thi question might be on the wrong thread but does anyone know if our sensations can be charged wirelessly?? It would make my life a whole lot easier, especially while I'm stuck with the faulty battery
Sometimes I charge my battery separately with a battery wall charge but I'm not sure about wireless. As for mugen battery, I have the mugen 3800mah and it really isn't so bad. The battery life really makes up for the thickness. It took about a week and I was used to it just depends on what your looking for.my mugen lasts with very heavy use at least 24 hours. It's really worth it to me. Best wishes

I downloaded cm9.1 r11 i think and im getting 1 day 11hrs with no use , no data turned on , and thats just not acceptable. what is the rom with the best batt life for this device?
Try one of the stable kernels listed for the ROM instead of the Linaro one. I find them to be more stingy with battery life. The r7b one works best for me. JMO...
You ought to give Wildchild Ice a try. XMC wasn't satisfied with it but I LOVED it. My wife ran it for about 6 months simply because if she didn't use her phone it would go DAAAAAYS before needing charged. I liked it because everything just seemed to work!
Just get the mugen extended battery. I use my phone heavily for 36 hours (excluding 5-6 hours of sleeping time) before charging.

It was expensive: $90! It also adds a bit of bulk to the device and it doesn't fit nicely in my iPega game controller. But for me it was worth it since now I don't need to worry too much about battery life.
The thing about it now though is an extra working DoubleShot is about $100 on ebay and a good ole trusty Anker battery is just about $8. Just sayin'.....

Good points, but neither of these (an extra device or the anker battery) would give me the functionality I am looking for (i.e. very long battery life). It has come in very handy on several occasions, like I needed to take a quick, can't-miss-it family photo after being out all day away from a charger. I am getting the Anker anyway. I can have the Mugen for when I know I will be away from a charger for 10+ hours and have the slim battery for other times.

So, what you are actually saying is:
to compensate for OP's some ROM's bad coding that is wasting CPU cycles on whatever it is doing and draining battery - you suggest him to buy bigger battery? It's like installing additional gas tank for a car that has inefficient engine instead of fine-tuning the engine... IMO it's unacceptable.
"Find better kernel or ROM" is what should be suggested in reply to OP, not "buy bigger capacity battery". Just my opinion...
Hello guys,
I am only getting 2h SoT on my S4, the phone gets really hoooot and the battery got "bigger", so it's dying. Which one is probably the best one to get? Anker, Zerolemon, Ravpower or anything else? I used some Anker ones on my previous phone and was quite happy with them.
How much SoT/battery life could I expect on a battery like these?
Cheers!

Some people said that ZeroLemon fixed the stuffy audio problem on their batteries now it has a space above the speaker, so you'll not have problems with/about this.
Never bought an Anker battery, i cant say too much about it, there are another threads about this battery in this section. But comparing ZL and Anker both have similar results.
I dont Know RavPower.
I have an ZeroLemon myself, everyday i got 9-12h screen, even after 1 year.
I bought one of these.

I got a RAV Power battery for my S4 off of Amazon for 12 EUR and I've been using it for a week, on stock vanilla firmware (but this is another story).
I get out in the morning at 8.30am and I use my S4 in the car for navigation (Waze) and music (TuneIn Radio or Google Play Music) for 1h a day (30 mins in the morning and 30 mins in the evening), then some calls, emails, whatsapp, etc. (no games or exotic stuff) and I usually get back home with a 40% battery around 7pm.
A colleague at work bought a Duracell after market battery for 24.50 EUR and he's not satisfied as the new battery gets very hot during simple use and he have to charge it at least one time during the day.
It has been just a week, but I'm pretty satisfied with this RAV Power battery!
Zerolemon 7500mah user here nothing to complain about.
Music sounds good because it has a gap between the battery and the speaker it actually made the sound better or somewhat amplified because it has space inside the TPU case that comes with it.
Using this 7500mah for close to 2 years now and still gives me 10-12hrs SOT max per day.
I use iPhone charger 1A and charge it only when i sleep, upon waking up its full charge.
after inheriting a S4 im not very happy with battery life, its a replacement off the bay..ie fake..so which one should i go for,,im in the uk so i dont think all the battery makes are available to me easily..cheers

im actually in two minds wheather the battery is knackered, i put it in safe mode last night and it drained 6%, maybe a app is causing it, gsam battery stats doesnt tell me anything is draining it, maybe im over thinking it and just need a new battery full stop, the last one was a cheapo off the bay
one thing i did notice is when i charge it to 100% gsam is telling me its at 1200mah, weird
If you're in Canada and want a cheap fix, the Source is clearing out some $0.96 CAD battery cases for the S4 (and S3). Lots of trade-offs with using a battery case, but it's the cheapest solution.

I bought a "NFC-compatible" Perfine battery and the NFC didn't work.
I'm a big fan of MPJ batteries - the standard size are maybe 10% better than stock, and I personally rock a 8,500mah battery all the time. Used on the S4, Note 3, Note 1, and others.
