2450 mAH Battery - Anyone tried this?

Just wondering if anyone has tried this battery. It's the newest one I've seen, and the highest capacity but, as we know, that may be bollocks.

i got it, the old battery lasted about 10 hours with me, this lasts about 12 hours under similar use... big difference is it takes about half the time to recharge! i think im gonna buy the Anker 1900mAh battery and try that out

The Anker 1900 seems to be the one everyone is using and actually IS 1900mAH. Some of these higher ones are false but I'd be interested in how you compare this and the Anker 1900. Going to get one of these anyway. Interesting about the re-charge time.

The recharge time is entirely possible of they punched a few thousand nano holes through the lithium to allow for the ions to transfer faster. However, considering the production time it probably takes and the price of this battery, I doubt it. I've been using the Anker 1900 mAh batteries and have been getting pretty solid life (with no calibration & heavy usage). I usually see 8-10 hours, which is fine because I just swap out the battery with the one that's been charging (I bought the 2-anker batteries + battery charger combo pack). I'm seeing some people say they get 20+ hours on a stock battery due to phone configuration? I'm not so sure about that yet. I'll do a calibrate, reconfigure my phone, then see what kind of hours i'm getting.

Mhh only 6 dollar. that is quit cheap. The anker 1000mAh costs around the double money and more.
Is it possible to built such a battery with _over_ 2400mAh with that money?

I'm seriously getting a huge battery life right now, and I am on the Anker 1900. I have one battery but I have configured FauxClock to underclock the processor to 1GHz + I am using Juice defender on the Advanced setting. Yes the battery does need to be calibrated correctly but it's incredible the difference these two things make to battery life.
I use the phone a lot and I don't notice any lag when it's underclocked.

I'm having this battery for like two weeks now, and I must say it's absolutelly fabulous. I'll post my usage results later today or tommorow morning. It's definatelly more than 50% increase of usage. Not a single problem with this one, and it was really cheap.

That is correct, I'm sure most of us spend a lot of time on the dev boards lurking, but in fact there is quite a bit you can do to make your battery life a lot longer without getting a new battery, aside from flashing a new rom and kernel. I personally have gone 20 hours with the stock battery, but that was with minimal use of course. One thing that increased my battery life significantly was making all my emails and updates C2DM, for instance. I'm sure there are a lot of users out there that still use email sync...

Here are my stats with ~10% remaining battery last night, before I went to sleep FB, LN, TW, Weather, 3x mail acc, all syncing as much as possible all the time, mails every 15mins, Whatsapp, Viber, GTalk, FBMessenger, ...
I'm super satissfied with this gold battery.

Probably is a scam, I've bought all this junk. Experienced all this ebay bs. I would recommend people NOT to buy this crap especially this "gold" kind. If you don't believe myself and the other members that pointed it out, go for it. Learning the hard way normally works

Hey guys,
Spent some time searching and reading the relevant threads on G2x, and the final consensus seems to me that there is no widespread agreement with respect to the question I've posed in the thread title. It seems to me that the only extended batteries that are guaranteed to give more than just a 30-60min boost are the 3000mah+ batteries that require using a much larger back cover that turns the G2x into a G2XL.
Hoping there's someone who can prove me wrong. I'm about to buy the G2x for its fantastic specs and low price for use on T-Mobile's prepaid monthly plan. Andida extended battery gets mixed reviews. Same for Prodicell batteries. The one battery for which I'd like to see some results is the "Seidio Innocell 1750mAh Slim Extended Battery for use with LG Thrill 4G, Optimus 3D, LG G2X and Optimus 2X" listed on Amazon.com. (Couldn't post link due to my low post number).
Any thoughts thus far? Will I need to turn my G2x smartphone into a giantphone to get noticeable increases in battery life?

I read about the so-called "gold" batteries. I'm reserving final judgment but remaining skeptical until we can get some extensive tests showing they're worth replacing the stock.

As they say in the automotive world, "There's no replacement for displacement"..
Basically, yeah, if you want a noticeable increase in battery life, then you will need to accept a noticeable increase in battery size. No way around it.
I have seen people spend $50 or more on 'name brand' extended batteries that are the same size as stock, and they rarely give any more battery life than a brand new stock battery.
Think about it - with the phone market as competitive as it is, if there were a battery that offered significant increases in battery life without an increase in size, do you think the major manufacturers would ignore that and allow some Chinese knock-off company to capitalize on it? Not a chance.

You're probably right.
Back in the day (remember when cellphones were, well, just cellphones?) it was just Sanyo and Panasonic and a few other Japanese companies dominating the lithium-ion battery market. Now even Samsung's caught up to them in terms of market share and they've been working overtime to get as much battery life as possible out of their phones. And they have to--check out the competition lately!
Bah. I guess I'm pretty much left to working on every single possible software fix to up my battery life. I'll be reading up on the ROM guides. I hear CM7 is a good rom.

I know you said you didn't want to buy a bigger battery, but assuming you cave in, I can tell you first hand that these batteries actually do last MUCH longer. I can go a full 12 - 16 hours HEAVY usage with "4G". The door itself feels kinda cheap but it's lasted me a good 10 months so far.

Yeah, I've been looking at those. There's also a 3900mah battery available. But the 4500mah pushes it way too far!

i know that a case would make it even thicker... but do they have tpu cases or some type of cover that protects the corners?

I have been looking for something similar, a case for my extended 3500 mAh battery. The back IS larger, of course, the battery appears to be slightly more that double the depth of the stock battery. However, that being said, the design could be worse. I saw another extended battery that was the same size with a god awful protruding rectangle that made the phone look completely off balance. I'm personally hesitant to commit to that battery. I went ahead and got a 3500mah battery. So far, the performance is quite good. It's allowed me to experiment with other rom/kernel packages that aren't as battery-friendly as tsugi, but offer tons of tweaks.

With stock battery and medium-heavy usage I can get 18 hours on EB and Trinity.... I would think I could easily get into the range of 12-16 with Heavy, but you probably mean EXTREMELY heavy usage.
Also, many people said the Andida battery gave them a few hours extra, thought of trying it but when I look at the ebay page for it the packaging looks extremely cheap... Which leads me to believe the battery is probably also very cheaply made and could easily fry your phone.

I've also had good luck with this battery, definitely better than stock. I haven't tested it scientifically, this is purely an anecdotal opinion based on using both for a long time.

i've been using the 3500 mah battery for around 6 months, no problem.
the original 1500 mah battery is bull****, it only supports your phone for like 12 hours max, you have to keep looking at the battery level if you dont want your phone endup dead.
with the extended battery i can go all day long, in heavy 3g mode. yes its bulky, but you will get what you're looking for. luckily i got it with a pair of desktop charger that i put in my office and home desk, so i never miss any recharge.
i dont think 1980 battery will improve a lot, on paper it suppose to add another 2-3 hours of battery time. but compare it with the 3500, and you will have 150% plus on your battery life.
i got it for $9 in spider-foot dot com

thanks, I've been on the fence between ordering the 2x chichitecs or the 2x 1800 hyperions... think I might go with the chihitecs now. I've read in reviews that the included charger sucks though, doesn't always work... hows your experience with it?

Maybe on the stock ROM the battery is that bad, but no ROM here gives that bad battery

I can confirm that on the stock, my phone lasts 12h on average. I'm using EB with ELP Trinity.
Keep in mind that how much a phone lasts you is a very subjective statistic. You can use a phone much less/more than someone else, and thus the battery life would be longer/shorter. The appearance of the extended 3500mAh batteries is also subjective.
If we're going to be objective here:
The stock battery lasts about 4-6h of active usage (having the screen on, with a data connection, and running applications that actually make use of the CPU). How many hours of light usage/stand-by someone might have in between those 4-6h of usage varies from person to person. (i.e. someone might use their phone heavily for an hour, then have 5h of really light usage/stand-by, then another hour of heavy usage, and so on until a cumulative 4-6h of active usage has been accumulated)
The extended 3500mAh battery, while doubling the thickness of your phone also increases your battery life 150%-200%.
The reviews for extended batteries that are the same size as stock aren't at all consistent. They vary from people saying they perform worse, to people saying they give a much longer battery life. The only battery that has mostly positive reviews is the Anker 1550mAh, which has been told to run cooler and last a bit longer. Of course having only a 50mAh advantage over the stock, the increase in life shouldn't be expected to be too substantial.

That's gotta be the ELP voltages being too low for you and thus causing higher battery drain, try the T15 and undervolt till you find your voltage sweet spot, you will get way better battery than that.
I use my phone pretty heavily through the day, Music, Games, text, web, calls, etc... and I'm getting much higher than 12 hours.

Hi, I'm also looking into this. How did it work out for you?

I just installed the battery Neozen21 mentioned today. Went in without problems. It was 62% charged right out of the box, so I suspect it is fairly fresh.
It took much longer to charge than the old one did, so I have high hopes that the original capacity has been restored.

A fresh quality battery in these Galaxy tabs takes twice the time to charge the first time they are run straight out of the box. After that, the charge will settle to normal, especially if you charge/discharge properly as much as is possible.

All credit to Neozen21 if this turns out to be the real deal -- which leads me to the point: How is it working out? I find the best test of a decent twin cell solution (like the battery in the S 10.5) is to turn it off, charge to 100%, disconnect the charger and then see how much charge the battery reports if you power it on (or reconnect the charger) after 1 day. If it reports anything less than 99%, it's going to drain abnormally quickly.

It seems to be marginally better, although not dramatically so.
I've run AccuBattery Pro on the new battery, and it says that design capacity is 7900 mAh, estimated capacity is 7450 mAh. Unfortunately, I did not run the app on the old battery before replacing it, so I have no comparison.
I'm glad I didn't spend a lot of money on the battery...

Battery drain and battery life

Hmm I got an iPhone 8 at work and the battery brain and loss of battery on that is amazing, it barely leaks. On my pixel it just leaks battery life so easily and quickly.
I know it depends on how you use the device and 100 other factor but anyone else get this general feeling? I read Pixel 1 has heat issues with that version of CPU.

I recently purchased a used pixel.. I did expect the battery life to be better than it appears to be... i'm not sure if its because the battery is fairly degraded from the previous owners.. or if I have a slow drain.. or maybe just an unrealistic expectation of the smaller variant... but I am curious to know if other people see really good battery life on their phone.. Thanks!

I bought a used pixel as well. I have questioned the battery life as well. Then again I purchased this phone for 150.00 and the quick charge is a blessing. I did crack my screen so I was going to perform a battery change while I did the screen to see if that would fix my issue. Here is a screenshot of my battery.

Keep in mind that Apple uses some funny algorithms to report the battery percentage and usage in a way that makes the user perceive the battery life to be better than it actually is. Like, why do you think it stays at 100% for so long? When down to 3, 2, or 1%, the battery lasts forever until it the device finally shuts down. Don't trust Apple (iOS), and take everything they report with a grain of salt.

I also bought a used Pixel and found the battery life not to match my expectations, as it is quite average like mid range phones. I ran a Geekbench 3 battery test, and got the score of 1798, which is slightly below other Pixels, but not that much. So while the Pixel XL has a top level battery life, the smaller phone lacks of battery to run the powerful hardware. Still I am quite happy with battery life while soft usage watching videos.
Here are screenshots of my battery life all made without charging the phone in between. The first screenshot is with gaming and heavier apps (around 3h15 SOT), while the second and third are almost only soft usage with mainly YouTube and Netflix at 50% brightness, where I can get around 4hrs30 SOT, which I am happy with. Hope this helps somebody.

Question A73 Accubattery Health

Hi guys. Just wanted to ask a quick question with regards to. My Galaxy A73 and the accubattery health estimate.
Before anyone yells from the tree tops "battery monitoring software isn't accurate" I know that, but it's enough to get a general idea on how my battery is holding up. And historically it's readings have been pretty good with me. Recently slapped in a fresh 3000mah battery in my S7 and it pretty regularly reports the battery health in the 96-98% range (I typed in the correct capacity for the new battery) which I am happy with. So..... with thay out the the way!
Recently the entire family basically came up for new contracts all at the same time, and we all got A73s. So three phones for the wife, father and myself. I've installed accubattery on all three phones and done full charges, ~15%-5% up to 100%. And on ALL three phones the reported battery capacity is around ~4500mah which seems far off of the design capacity of the advertised 5000mah. My particular phone reported a first charge capacity of 4733. But has dropped to 4500 over subsequent charges. As I said. I know software isn't 100% accurate. But historically it's been good to me reporting good numbers for my S7 and my A80.
Although I have been very impressed with the battery life thus far im still wondering if these battery's are bad.
Can anyone else show their accubattery results?

This behavior is observed by me also, and a few days back I put comments in the Google play store app review but developer is yet to respond.

So you are also seeing ~4500mah?
Well of that's the case then I don't think all these phones can have bad batteries.
So Either
1. Accubattery is reporting incorrectly. Not exactly far fetched as software can definately be wrong.
2. Our phones all have bad batteries. less likely but still a possibility.
3. Or lastly Samsung is lying about advertised capacity and we all have 4500mah batteries. I find this to be the LEAST likely scenario.

Sorry this is an older thread, but I've had much the same issue with quite a few of the Sammy devices, and found this thread because I've been considering an A73.
First, Accubattery, in my experience does a good job. I've used it on an LG G8 that I had done battery 'conditioning' since it was new. Guess what? Accubattery rated that phone at 103% of capacity! Yes, it was accurate. Also used it with a Pixel 6a and battery was 100%, so that one was rated at 4500 mah and that's exactly what Accubattery said.
But most of my Sammy phones, like the 2 A52S I have, are rated much lower than stated capacity. Instead of 4500, they both rated about 4100.
Your scenario number 3 is actually correct, but not in the 'lying' part. If you research it, ea mfg tells you that battery capacity can vary (they claim it's hard to control during manufacturing), and it states in their 'fine print' that a battery actual capacity can vary by 10% plus or minus (it's always minus).
That means my new phone, properly conditioned from the beginning, could read as low as 4050 and still be within specs. So it's not a 'lie', it's a way to put in less battery and still claim it's 'as designed' and you have no recourse.
Ironically though, my older galaxy A03, which has a 5000 mah battery, gets a 100% capacity from accubattery. Sometimes I think it's a better idea just to use them and not even think about it. It's kind of tedious and it's pretty much out of our control. And life is short.
