I have two compass apps on my GW4 classic. They must have come with the watch since I didn't install them myself. I would like to add one of them as a tile, but neither shows up in the add tiles menu on the phone or the watch.
I do not think you can unless the app is designed to have a tile. Doing a quick search, tiles are the same as widgets on your phone, so unless the app author put a tile into the app, you cannot add it.

Has anybody made/looked into a double vertical tile?
This could be useful for live tiles. Weather comes to mind first, but Im sure other people would have other ideas for it.
you don't get the option to make a double tile. only OEMs do at present. hopefully this changes, but yea, it doesn't exist at present.
Yeah, I had thought about that it would be really cool looking. i hope Microsoft allows developers to use double tiles an also gives us an option to choose if we want somthing to be single or double (or vertical) sometime in the future. Maybe with the ability to stretch them on the fly between the 3 different was. Kinda like widgets on android with Motoblur on the Droids and in Launcher pro.
Did a search for a list of apps with double width live tiles but found nothing...
Can we start this list?
Regualr developers can't make double tile tiles atm, so it's currently only the Pictures hub, calendar hub and artist tiles that may use it. Excluding device and carrier specific apps and certain homebrew.
Hi all,
I am looking for an app that allows you to change the theme of a tile (or tile colour etc) and allow it to show a notification - i.e. how many unread texts etc.
I have googled this, and found that the access to hubs is currently not available (people hub, for example) but I think I remember a while back there was an app that could show you the missed calls and unread texts, and allow you to open up the app in question, or maybe that was a dream...
Anyone?
I'm using a Verizon S6 and really don't like Samsung's version of the notification panel and Quick Settings. I'd love to be able to use the stock Android version, but unfortunately I can't root this phone. Found this app in the Play Store called Snowball (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.snowball.app) that replaces your notification panel and quick toggle with their version. It's activated just like the stock notification panel.
I'm hoping someone on here can develop an app that works like Snowball, but shows the stock notification instead and when you either swipe down a second time, or with 2 fingers you get the Quick Settings instead.
I was also looking for the same. Right now snowball is the only app available and they have discontinued updating that app. I hope some one will make an app like snowball with original android interface and it will be appreciated by most of the chineese android phone users also as they have weird notification panel.
Try finding goodlock on apkmirror.com. Hence the name, it is samsung alternative notification panel and quick settings.
This is a high in demand app I published on the playstore awhile ago and decided to share it with xda community.
This is a Quick Tile that launches the android os launcher switcher dialog when selected. In the background, it monitors how many launcher apps are available and shows a count when clicked. It does not run in the background but only when it's actively engaged by the user. This app is not launchable nor has a launcherApp intent. Install and select from your quick tiles. It probably should be integrated in Aosp but whatever. (Custom roms devs are more than welcome to include this tile in their roms with credit Ofcourse).
