[App Request] Stock Notification App - Android Apps and Games

I'm using a Verizon S6 and really don't like Samsung's version of the notification panel and Quick Settings. I'd love to be able to use the stock Android version, but unfortunately I can't root this phone. Found this app in the Play Store called Snowball (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.snowball.app) that replaces your notification panel and quick toggle with their version. It's activated just like the stock notification panel.
I'm hoping someone on here can develop an app that works like Snowball, but shows the stock notification instead and when you either swipe down a second time, or with 2 fingers you get the Quick Settings instead.

I was also looking for the same. Right now snowball is the only app available and they have discontinued updating that app. I hope some one will make an app like snowball with original android interface and it will be appreciated by most of the chineese android phone users also as they have weird notification panel.

Try finding goodlock on apkmirror.com. Hence the name, it is samsung alternative notification panel and quick settings.

Well theme Chooser came out and it would be nice to be able to change features (icons, text color, etc) and be able to save them within Android itself and choose accordingly in the theme Chooser instead of a bunch of XML edits and apk edits

I want to see less threads about jelly bean wishlists.
For me, its 3G video calling and more refined UI
Options to customise the menu bar at the bottom. So always have the home button, but choose if back button, app list visible. Want the touchwiz screenshot button? Hold the menu bar, select the 'mini widget' and drop it there. Want the touchwiz popup app menu? Hold and select.
Want a mini widget that always shows if there's a new email and count? Choose if you want that notification to pop up in the usual notification area, or if a fixed point on the menu bar (tool bar?).
The popup settings bar, with the clock/notifications. Allow that to be customised too. Choose if you want it drag down from the top, pop up from the bottom and how (kinda built in Cyanogen features), and again, if you want mini-widgets on that to turn on/off wifi/bluetooth. The stuff that's there, but not standardised. Then, if Samsung/HTC want to customise their phones/tablets, it's just those mini-widgets they default to, to get the look they want. If you don't like it, you remove them and use standard halo theme. (or select more featured ones from the play store).
So if you want a really clean look, you can hide all those buttons, and use gestures (press and hold the menu bar, show the possible widgets, with settings per widget on which gesture to activate).
-rotatable home/lockscreen
-very fast screen orientation
-changeable color themes
-customizable lockscreen and notification bar
-more visual (transition)effects

I would love if the virtual soft buttons could be changed around too for handsets that Have them.

And on devices that have one, Configurable alerts for the on-board notification LED if I remember right way way back when my old Epix running winmo 6.x was able to do this.

[Q] Detailed lockscreen notifitcations

Hey guys I was wondering if anyone knew if it was possible to have the Dashclock widget (or something similar) on the lockscreen with details visible while still having the unlock icon ready to unlock the device. I'll elaborate a little just in case the previous doesn't make much sense...
So I'm currently running CM 11 on my N5 and under Settings>Lock screen there's an option called "Maximize widgets" which expands your lockscreen widgets but minimizes your unlock icon. Since the icon is minimized, you need to tap on it to bring it back up (while simultaneously minimizing Dashclock for example), then tap again and drag to unlock your phone. Is there any ROM, application, or maybe Xposed Installer module that allows lockscreen widgets to remain maximized while keeping the unlock icon from requiring two steps?
note: I'm currently using the quick launch shortcuts with one of them set as my Google Now Launcher but that returns me to my home screen every time I unlock my phone..
Check out lockerpro or sliderlock app... Same Dev... Or a ROM that has built in lock screen notifications (which almost do)... Another alternative would be active display within Roms or maybe acdisplay app

[REQUEST] App Circle Bar

Anyone knows if there is a flashable zip or an apk to install the app circle bar that comes in BlissPop Rom, i want to install it in any other rom, without having to install xposed framework
Thanks in advance
Bump... I'm interested in knowing if anyone knows of releases available to install features such as App Circle Bar, Gestures Anywhere and Slim Recents into stock or other ROMs, like you can so with OmniSwitch for example.
For App Circle Bar I see there's on app on the Play Store that does it. I don't know its origin (and if uses ripped code or not...) and it's probably better to have it as a small system app built into the ROM like in say RR, but the app could still be good, I haven't tried.
I'm actually more interested in the other two app launching helpers (or similar alternatives) than the circle bar one. The strength of Slim Recents for me is that you can include customized app shortcuts in an extra panel in the recents view, and you can even set separate long press actions for each app icon if you want. I think it supports launching activities too. You can also add a very similar favor shortcuts panel in OmniSwitch, although it's not quite as advanced...

What has happened since 0.3.0?
First of all, I wanted to create two companion apps, one for At A Glance (this is ready), one for Google Now. Sadly, so far all of my implementations sucked for one reason or another, so I still need time for that. If you can't live without Google Now, I suggest you to use the debug build from Github. If you don't really care, use the Play Store version.
But than, Amir released version 3.2 of Rootless Pixel Launcher, so I changed my mind: rebase Lean to make use of 3.2, and implement a few more requested feature. Look at the changelog, I think it looks nice.
What's next?
I have my eyes on two things:
stabilization, this is the most important. I have now included crash reporting in the builds, so I can monitor if I need to act on something.
proper implementation of Google Now companion app.
TL;DR: Download Lean Launcher from the Google Play Store!
This launcher runs flawlessly on my Pixel 2XL! Just one question - is there a way to turn off at a glance? The option in Lean setting is grey so I cant turn it off. I'm using the debug version 1.0.0-5 from github (the google now page works perfectly btw)
Thanks! I like that icon size can be changed and also the double tap to lock!

This is a mishap from my side, in the next version, you will be able to turn it off!
It seems at a glance weather is not working in the debug version even after installing and launching the companion app...
Running playstore version, everything ok till now. Thnx!
Cheers

That's weird, it should pick up messages from the Google app sooner or later. Once it only started to work for me after I launched the Google app manually, than launching the companion app one more time. Does that maybe help?
Really loving the 0.3.0 version. I have a request. Is it possible to turn off the scroll bar in the app drawer? Scroll bar is really messing up the immersive experience for me. May an option to toggle in the settings.
Thank you for lean launcher
Awesome launcher smooth! My weather doesn't show, any work around?
Hi,
Your Pixel launcher runs really smooth on my Note 8 (and I've tried others Pixel launcher less smooth for me), great work!
I love the options already present, maybe an option to change per app icon, but maybe not a good idea to clutter your launcher with a ton of options and loose the performance...
I prefer stability and performance instead of having options slowing down the launcher.
keep up the good work and thanks again! :good::good::good:
@Anand durai: I will see about that, not yet sure.
@fullmetal509: For the weather to show, you need to install a companion app, which you can download here. After installing it, launch it once, and then it should start to receive and forward messages from the Google app to Lean Launcher!
@Manson79: actually, per app icon change is planned for the future
the Google Now page not changing dark mode
Google now page looks like old design compared to Rootless Pixel Launcher
I can't install the LeanGlance APK, it just keeps saying the package is corrupt. I am running the debug version and I've tried using older versions but nothing seems to work. I'm using an S8+, if that's significant.

Do you have any other Pixel Launcher variant installed? If yes, you will have to uninstall that first, since the companion app has to have the same package name in order for it to be able to receive and forward messages from the Google app!
Love the app
Would love the ability to change the app drawer to transparent an grid sizes
the playstore version is really smooth
Have you considered making a toggle to have a transparent dock, preferably rounded edges just liket the Android P launcher ?
Feature request: to be able to move the dock search bar up to the top of the home screen like in pic attached but obviously with the actual Google search bar, I'm just using a widget from playstore.
Thanks for this launcher I'm using it as my daily driver ?

A perfect compromise between the too simple stock Android launcher and the too "complicated" Nova launcher !
There are just the usefull settings in this launcher !
Thx a lot !
Been using this since yesterday and I must say it is damn well smooth added with flux white substratum theme it's looking sweet! hope you can add Android P like dock and other P launcher features in the future. Keep it up! good work and thank you

You can set the dock to transparent: Settings > Look & Feel > Hotseat background > Transparent. However, I think you mean translucent, like the P preview launcher is. That is planned, but for now, I'm waiting for Google dropping the latest launcher sources.

P features are planned for later, first Google will have to drop the latest sources for it. After that, I'll most likely rebase to it, and the launcher will have the latest look & feel.

Bad news from Tesla unread developer

I ve received this mail from the devoloper last night;
TeslaUnread is no longer supported and will not be updated again! Please read below for the full details.
TeslaUnread is no longer available via the Google Play Store for several reasons. You can however download the last APK that we released from the link below.
https://help.teslacoilapps.com/teslaunread
Please note, that you can use Dots or Dynamic Badges with the current stable version of Nova. The beta version is not required for those two, but currently required for Numeric Dots.
If you are using TeslaUnread and experiencing issues as of March 27th, 2019, please note that we can no longer update the app to make it work, make changes or add new features in any way. It's simply not possible any longer. Basically it's a use at your own risk type of thing.
To replace TeslaUnread, there is now a new feature built into Nova Launcher itself that you can enable to get numeric count badges. Nova Settings -> Notification Badges -> Numeric Dots. You must be using Nova 6.1.1(currently a beta version) for this. You can find more information here: https://help.teslacoilapps.com/versions/6-1. This still requires you to have purchased Nova Launcher Prime as it is a Prime feature just like all Nova notification badges are.
One thing to note is that Dots, Dynamic Badges and Numeric Dots are notification based. What this means is that you must have a notification in the notification bar at the top of the screen for the app icon to get a notification badge. This is what makes Dots, Dynamic Badges and Numeric Dots 100% accurate compared to old methods like TeslaUnread.
Unread Badges Not Working on Note 8 - Android Pie
I am using the Nova Prime Launcher and I can confirm that none of the unread badges work. Samsung's unread badges do not work either. I am so ready to get a Google Pixel 3. Samsung cannot seem to keep up the pace with Android's operating systems.
Talking about pace, it's ironic how the tables turned since it's Google that implemented a majority of the Samsung's features that existed at least since the Galaxy Note 2.

Is there going to be something built that isn't notification based?
Having the dots be notification based is pointless. I can just look at the notification bar if I want that.
The reason I like it being an unread count is that I can swipe away the notifications and the TeslaUnread count reminds me to come back later.
But if I have to leave the notifications up, that defeats the purpose.
Please create a new built in version of TeslaUnread

I agree. I came across this because my phone call unread count were not clearing anymore with TeslaUnread. I clear the notifications so they don't stack up and don't obscure my lock screen, but I would like to know I have something I need to look at later.
READ_SMS and READ_CALL_LOG permissions it is no longer welcome on the Google Play Store. You can still download the APK here ; You can still dowload from this orginal devolopers(nova launcher web page) own link Here: https://help.teslacoilapps.com/teslaunread
Has there been any movement towards a replacement or something in the works in terms of functionality like Tesla Unread?
The current swipe away notification garbage on Android does not cut it for me as I require my notifications to stay until I actually want them dismissed.
I am stuck using TeslaUnread 5.1.2 which works perfectly for me on my Samsung S10 running Android 10 however the only gripe I have is it doesn't display notifcations on the built in Samsung Email program for some reason which is rather annoying.
Any one using anything different or am I stuck with Nova Launcher + Teslaunread 5.1.2 ?
Well, if the developer isn't interested in updating this wonderful tool - would they be willing to publish the application under say an open source license to give the community the option to further update/develop said tool ?
