Starting today I get a message saying that the Samsung UI has crashed along with a black screen. This all happened after I rebooted my phone. It gives me a choice to close or wait. When I choose close Samsung UI starts again.
Try going into the boodloader and clearing your cache. Also clear the cache for the UI in settings>apps.

I'll try doing those now! Thank you.
The other issue I'm having is my dock icons constantly change places. I've never see suck behavior. I'm using stock launcher and I have my homescreen locked. But the icons still swap places.

After a swipe on the Homescreen, where i probably, accidently, caught the widget, first one widget disappeared and later all widgets were gone. I'm (were!) using TrebuchetBackup and thought "No worries, I'll just restore the backup"! Then the troubles started for real! Now Launcher3 crashes constantly. After many clicks on the OK-button to clear the crash-notification i can succeed in force-stopping the Launcher, but after a reboot the troubles starts all over.
I've tried clearing data and cache in the app, cleaning the caches, including Dalvik, on the phone, but no success. I've even reinstalled the ROM (YNG1TAS213/without wiping).
If I choose to send a report, I get the following title:
[CRASH] com.cyanogenmod.trebuchet threw android.database.sqlite.SQLiteCantOpenDatabaseExeption.
It's not the whole crash-report mind you, as I can't find the report anywhere on the phone.
Does anybody know where I can find the crash-report?
Does anybody have any idea, what causes the crashes?
Regards,
I have a two year old One Plus One which has not had any problem in all these years. However after the Marshmallow update when I click on the battery option in the settings menu, the settings closes down saying "Unfortunately, settings has stopped". Is this a bug or is there a problem with my battery? I use my phone for browsing news, twitter, whatsapp, facebook and rarely playing some games. The battery lasts the entire day without any major battery drain. Is there a way to fix this problem without choosing the factory reset? Please help!
@vibha
You can try clearing data of Setting app.
Also wipe cache partition if above mentioned method doesn't work. It won't delete any data.
Are you using any theme / xposed /status bar mod.
If you are then emerge those and try everything stock and report back.
Solved thanks!

Perfect! I changed back my theme to the default theme and now the battery option is back in the settings. Thanks a lot Kunal :good:

Thanks. The problem got solved when I changed the theme to the default theme. Pretty simple.
I turned off the Edge Panel feature on my phone but the handle bar won't go away from the home screen. I've tried to minimize the handle bar size as well as made it 100% transparent. On any other screen, the Edge Panel handle bar is completely gone but anytime I'm on my home screen, the handle is there and I can't find a way to make it go away.
I also downloaded the All In One Gestures app so my phone can have the swipe to go back feature. To use this feature, the app will place a shadow on the edge of the screen, indicating that the feature is active. I've tried to disable this feature as well to get rid of this shadow but it also won't go away from the home screen. Even if I uninstall the app, the shadow remains.
Anyone know a fix to this problem?

I suspect you have a kink in the install or somehow have corrupted a file. I do not know of a 'fix', other than clearing cache on stock phone and re-boot. If rooted, clear cache/dalivk and see if that works.
If it were bugging me enough, I'd do a clean install.

Unfortunately clearing the cache didn't work. I may just do a clean install one day when I have time. Thanks for the help.

I had this big-time on my note 10+. Haven't seen it yet on this phone. But it's a fairly known issue across multiple phone platforms
Try clearing chrome's cache, clear Sytem cache on the boot menu.
Try clearing chrome's data if that fails.
Try rolling back to factory install version if updated.
I use mostly Brave and the Samsung browsers (I run the beta version too).
Occasionally if too many Brave tabs (40+) are open I need to close all running apps with the "close all" button. The tabs on the browser remain intact when I reopen it. I will clear browser cache if the freezing glitch persists.
If that doesn't stop it I will close some tabs bring it down to 20 or so on Brave, sometimes Samsung's Browser needs to be wiped to zero tabs. Sometimes this is caused by a rogue website with malware, crashing the tab is the worst it seems to be able to do.
Ha-ha check for unwanted downloads... just in case; sometimes they get lucky for a little while.
I never have used chrome to that extent...

Can you tell us how to clear chrome's cache and data? I don't see the options listed under Apps- chrome. How do you also clear system cache?
Long press the app icon>app info
Or through Setting>Apps
Google how to pull up the boot menu for this device.
DO NOT select hard reset!!!
They're right next to each other...
