Question S22 ultra Carrier Aggregation Issues [Australia] - Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra

Hi Everyone
I just bought a S22 ultra from Samsung Australia online store with qualcom 8gen 1. I upgraded from note 9 which was rocking snapdragon 845. I used it with Optus network and I used to get excellent coverage with carrier aggregation with 4g ± now since I have put my sim in s22 ultra I have lost carrier aggregation. I WILL BE VERY DISAPPOINTED IF THIS $2000 phone can't do carrier aggregation. Please advise if anyone else is facing this issue. I have also noticed that the network reception is also less than note 9. When both phones are kept along side each other S22 ultra shows 2 bars and note 9 shows 4 bars.

Upgrading Question.

Hi,
Long time reader, not so often poster. I am on an unlimited plan with TMobile on my trusty galaxy S7. The plan is about to expire and my trusty Galaxy S7 is no longer trusty. Random restarts, crashes, slowdowns, battery discharge, etc etc. I have factory resetted the device and i still have the issues.
So do i upgrade to the S8, the S9, the Pixel 2, or wait for the Pixel 3?
I will use it for gaming and multimedia primarily.
The only phone in your list worth considering is the S9 because it has Band 71 (600MHz). TMobile is rapidly expanding this frequency in non-city areas first. It will improve reception in areas where it is poor or non existent. The other phones cannot ever use the new Band 71. Also look at the One Plus 6. Really good reviews and support for VOLTE, wifi calling and Band 71. Phone is cheaper than the S9

Cellular strength and throughput

We know how much you like to stream, ahem, "videos", and so cellular data is mega-important. Rate this thread to express how you think the 's LTE performs. A higher rating indicates that it's fantastic: throughput is excellent and signal strength is top-notch.
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add.
minor complaints
I have a few minor complaints with the LTE here. My S9+ had really good signal at my home and office. The S10 5G chokes a couple times and rolls over to 3g sometimes. It isn't unbearable, but its not ideal.
I can't attest to the 5G signal strength as I live in an area that does not yet have 5G, but the LTE signal is stronger than the standard S10 that I returned in order to preorder the S10 5G.
Hi All
Regards the Galaxy S10 5G
Would be Good if people can list which version of the phone they have when talking about call quality and connection issues if any 5G LTE/4G 3G 2G and switching between networks
and any missing bands
Snapdragon 855 X50 Modern
Exynos 9820 5100 Modem
Thanks
I had the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge on Verizon a few years ago, and there were a couple of spots here locally that I could download at well over 100 mbps. Now with the S10 5G (Snapdragon), I don't get those speeds anywhere. They are fast enough, but not like they were previously. I don't know if that's a phone thing or a Verizon thing. The last time I had Verizon, there was no unlimited data; so I wonder if my current speeds are a byproduct of that.
It's definitely less strong than my Huawei mate 20 pro.

Is my A71 a UW model?

Bought an A71 5G on prime day $419.
It was described as "Unlocked A71 5G UW (VERIZON)"
The model number from the settings screen is SM-A716U1. It is working on Verizon with my SIM out of my Note9.
Just wondering if this is fully 5G compatible with Verizon since the model number ends with U1 not UW.
The buttons on the UW model for Verizon are supposed to be placed slightly different from the other models, reducing the availability of cases. The standard Supcase for A71 5G fits perfect and aligns with the buttons.
I have an official Verizon A71 5G UW model and in About Phone, my phone model is SM-A716V. Have you tried comparing/contrasting the available bands? Unless you live in a major city, you won't be able to know if you can pick up the UW bands or not.

Sound like you are in stock rom. Then, check your Setting->About phone->Software information->Baseband version.
If you have A716VSQS1BTK1 , then, you are in Verizon.
If A716USQU2BTJ3, then, you are Tmobile/Sprint, etc

A51 vs A51 5G UW Verizon

For those on Verizon, I urge you to consider the A51 5G UW instead of the A51, even if you don't need 5G. I've helped several people setup their A51's and this has to be the slowest, buggiest phone I've used in awhile. Having also worked with the upgraded versions, I can tell you the difference between the Snapdragon 765G on the 5G UW and the Exynos on the 4G is huge. Also the 6 GB helps a lot for multitasking and games. Many people are looking for a solid affordable mid range phone, and I can say hands down the 5G UW model is worth the extra money. If you can get a deal, the S20 FE offers flagship level performance for slightly more.

Question USA available S22 ultra vs Indian available S22 ultra

I want to bring to notice the difference i found between 2 mobiles
1. usa made s22 ultra doesn't have call recording feature whereas Indian made has it.
2. Usa made mobile phone has special bandwidth chip on the lower right side crease which is not present on Indian mobiles.
3. Usa made phones have better coverage as compared to Indian units in basements and low network areas.
