I just got my S22 Ultra about a month ago and after the most recent updates, I started noticing that the apps that are on the bottom row of the phone (favourites tray) keep swapping positions everytime after I restart the phone. I have already set to LOCK homescreen layout in the homescreen settings page, yet this keeps happening. Super irritatiing as to change the icons back to the original place, I have to go to settings, UNLOCK the homescreen, change the app layout, then go back to the settings to relock the homescreen settings.

My original layout.
After restart the icons are rearranged!
Does anyone else have this same issue? Does anyone have a fix to this??
Thanks very much and appreciate any replies!

I am also facing the same issue
I recall that this issue was already fixed and will be applied to future updates. But confirm by reproducing the issue and submitting error report to samsung members app > get help > error report so you can receive confirmation on the fix (at least in the US.. not sure what region you are in)
If you're using Home Up within Good Lock to change the task changer to anything other than stock, that's the culprit. Switch back to the stock "List" setting and it will stop. It's a bug within the Home Up module.

Yes thanks! I am in Asia region, seems like the updates are not here yet. But I have submitted the bug report as you suggested. Hopefully they solve it soon!

I was not using Home Up to get a new task changer, however I thought no harm in checking. As it turns out, it was shut off in Home up. I then went to turn it on and set at list view, then restarted the phone. The problem recurred. But I then went into Home Up again and turned OFF task changer, and restarted the phone again. Miraculously the problem is now solved!! The icons are no longer rearranging themselves. Not sure what happened in the code, but somehow you were right that Home Up is the main cause of this issue!
Thanks again for the advice!!!

I have multiple launcher setup, but everytime if I press the home button, this menu will come up. And if I check the box "use by default for this action". It will stay there permanently.
My question is once I pick one and check the box. A week later if I want to choose a different one how do I get this menu back? I don't see anywhere to bring it up.

Yes, you can do this each time. And remember how you did since there will be many apps that ask to be the default for certain activities that you may want to change from time to time (like when you get a new app for that task).
But the best way I've seen specifically for Launchers is an app called "Home Switcher". When you use it the app displays all the launchers installed, including the Samsung one, and tells you which is the default. There are buttons next to each selection to clear the default and to launch a new one. I believe it's still free.
Hope this helps!
wow great, I will give it a try.
It seems work great. But when I press the home button, it will go back to the other one. Even though I setup a new default home screen. Home button will go back lol. It will not stay on the new default home screen.

- If you selected TWLauncher you can change the default page through 'Menu button/Edit'
- If you selected Launcher you cannot change this. It is set to the middle page.
So here's a weird one all!
All of a sudden my pattern lock which has been I'm effect changes back to swipe to unlock without me touching it.
I do have a new Bluetooth device and I thought I might have selected this to unlock my device when near but that doesn't seem to be the case.
Effectively I can come backto my device after a while and my pattern lock is no longer in affect and is I stead replaced with swipe to unlock.
Has anyone ever had this?

Maybe you have some settings turned on - under lock screen/smart lock. Try turning off all the smart lock functions there, maybe it will solve the problem.

nope, it's all turned off and it's just happened again

I know it's painful, but try doing a factory reset and check if it happens then. If it does, I'd send it for repairs to LG.
Thanks for the response, but I really don't think that's a fix. I'm still guessing this is something to do with Smart Lock, but I'm not sure where else to look as I thought this was turned off (and it shows as off) in the settings.
It would be worth noting that I'd already done a factory reset recently.....there is no evidence that this would rectify the issue...I believe it might be app/setting related.
Anyone any ideas?
Right it's definitely not a bluetooth device as I turned bluetooth off and it just did it again!

Does this happen in the same location each time? eg. at home
or has this happened in multiple places?
I'm just thinking it might be that you yourself or google have set a home location and that somehow the smart lock settings are picking that up and unlocking for you.
I've had this phone since launch day and I've never come accross this happening before.
You're rooted? If you have a bit of time and you're rooted, you can do a full titanium backup, reset and check if it's still happening. If it does, it's not app related, just your phone being weird and most probably in need of a reflash : D
If smart lock's disabled, it shouldn't do that, regardless if he had set a home location or not.
One more thing, if you can and you're willing, give us a list of apps you've got installed. I'm no expert, but I'm sure we can find a solution if we brainstorm hard enough.
Thanks for the responses guys.
This has happened in multiple locations for a start. Rather strange I grant you.
I am rooted and I could do a test but either way I'd like to know what had actually caused this...
As for apps... See attached. Nothing brand new though that I recall.

Try this. Install root explorer. Go to system-etc-floating_feature.xml. open in text editor. Remove the "-" in nightclock, edgefeeds. Save changes. Then reboot. Hope this will help

I could only find the - on nightclock, removed the - and rebooted. still blank screen on night clock.
I have reflashed 2 times now.
when the time comes for the night clock to start the phone screen goes blank, no night clock.
I am not one to needlessly bump threads nor resurrect them from the dead, however, I was wondering if there has been any traction on getting the ORIGINAL night clock back (the cocktailbarservice version), (NOT the useless AOD version?
By editing the floating_feature.xml, I am able to go to SETTINGS/DISPLAY, toggle Night Clock ON/OFF and schedule the night clock but it still does not display.
Just hoping..... perhaps someone can look into it or point me in a better direction.
after latest update for model MHA-L29C185B186 apps are crashing.any news on this?
same happened to me. with some apps in my Chinese mate 9, i did a restart and clear out the cache then update apps and that fixed my issues
I have the same issue after the update, and it's very annoying: apps crashes in the middle of what you're doing, watching, or reading. Nothing seems to fix it
Yep, annoying closes. I think i'll rebrand to 432...
Same here...random crashes on apps after the update. Can anyone help?
Some general methods to try:
Clear out the cache of the app
Update the app
Settings - Developer options, Enable multiprocess WebView
......
nope
I have the same problem as well. I contacted Huawei support and they suggested to do a factory reset. I did that and the issue still persists. I believe something is wrong with the latest software update they pushed and they need to fix this ASAP.

I haven't noticed any apps crashing after yesterday's update, but for some reason the controls on my Bluetooth headphones no longer work when the phone is in lockscreen, only working when the music player I use (MX Player Pro) is active onscreen. Anyone else had this issue? BTW I've spent close to 4 hours trying to fix this in every possible area of 'settings' and have searched the forums here but have had no luck!
After the B194 update I have the same problem. Most apps close. No solution from Huawei service for now
Same here, apps crashing after last update. Clear cache or fully restore factory reset didn't help.

There is no need to worry, just goto settings then goto battery then tap on top right corner of battery settings and turn off " close excessively power instensive apps". THATS IT.
It is enabled by default in the new firmware. So apps are being crashed automatically.
Screenshot is attached

um, nope. this one reads 'background'. we are talking about foreground apps abruptly closing without any warning
+1. Real Racing crash randomly.
I have downgrade to B190 (without reset) and my game work perfectly again. But now , I realize that app camera and gallery don't work.

Hi All,
I'm using scheduled DND. Every time it turns on it resets my excluded contacts and I have to add contacts again.
Is this a normal behavior? If not any ideas how to fix it?
Have you enabled the 'Do not disturb' mode with an 'Exceptions' setting?
In 'Exceptions' section, you can allow calls and messages from any contact, favorite contacts, or anyone to bypass DND.
Of course I did, otherwise it will not work.
I am also having issues since the last OneUI update..
My DND schedule seems to be confused as to which day of the week it is. I have the schedules set for M-F 10pm to 7am and S,S for 11pm to 10am but when Monday comes around, it's showing the weekend schedule is still active.
I ahve verified correct date, time and location settings... Cleared system cache, deleted and recreated the DND schedules but still have the issue where DND is using the incorrect day.

Yes, I can confirm this bug.
I have always used the 'Favourite contacts' as exception, and that works fine.
After reading your post, I tried to add some contacts manually to the exception list, and I see that the list has gotten reset. This is a bug, and I'm not sure with which OneUI version this problem started.
Still having the DnD issue where the schedule thinks its still the weekend

I dont use DND option on my S22 Ultra cause never found the need for it! Although, I did find this resolution through Bard, since you arent able to fix this I thought to ask Bard. I hope this helps!
Bards Reply:
No, it is not normal for scheduled DND to reset your excluded contacts. This is a bug that has been reported by other users. There are a few things you can try to fix it:
Restart your phone. This may clear up any temporary glitches that are causing the problem.
Update your phone's software. If you're not using the latest version of your phone's software, there may be a bug fix that will resolve this issue.
Reset your phone's settings. This will erase all of your settings, including your excluded contacts, so you'll need to re-add them. However, this may also fix the bug.
If you've tried all of these things and the problem is still occurring, you can contact your phone's manufacturer or carrier for support.
In the meantime, you can still exempt certain contacts from DND by adding them to your favorites list. This is a workaround, but it's better than having to add your excluded contacts every time DND turns on.
Here are the steps on how to add your contacts to your favorites list:
Open the Contacts app on your phone.
Tap the Star icon next to the contacts you want to exempt from DND.
When you turn on DND, your favorites list will be exempt from the Do Not Disturb restrictions.
