Can't flash firmware other than the onw that came stock - Samsung Galaxy A51 Questions & Answers

I have a Galaxy A51 (SM-A515F) and I tried to change my csc from OJM_MID to OXM_BTU, but whenever I flash it correctly a few things happen:
1. "starting Android" is in Russian
2. the default language is Russian
3. Russian bloatware
4. and when I check the csc it's OXM_SER (Russian)
5. And when I reflashed to OJM_MID it's now OJM_XSG (UAE)
if my stock firmware was multi csc OJM can I only flash firmware from the group?
and is there a reason why flashing firmware with BTU csc is somehow converted into Russian?
Note: the site I used to get the firmware was [ samfw.com ]

Update: the phone has been boot looping / freezing constantly even before flashing a new firmware so it's pretty much dead. no need to help me anymore.
Im planning on getting the A52s 5G

[Q][GT-S7562] Help trying to tweak a Chinese Sansung Galaxy S Duos

Hi all,
I was recently given a Samsung Galaxy S Duos (GT-S7562) which was bought in China.
It already came a bit hacked, since it looks like the people selling it in China changed it a bit. It came with the Chinese baseband S7562ZCLK2, but PDA and CSC corresponded to a firmware from XSG region, which I think is United Arab Emirates. Thanks to this, it came with many languages, and not just English and Chinese, but, since it's quite a "Frankenstein", right now it won't be detected by Kies.
I have complete freedom to work on this phone, since I don't use it, so I was trying to get it flashable by Kies. Whenever I try to flash any non Chinese firmware via Odin, it errors out when trying to upload fat.bin. I've already read that is due to trying to flash a firmware from another region. But at least, I've managed to get the PDA I want.
Then, after examining the files on the firmware tar file (all the firmwares I've tried where downloaded from sammobile.com) I noticed that cache.img seemed to contain the CSC files, inside a file, called sec_csc.zip, which can be flashed using the stock recovery. Using that, I managed to change the CSC to DBT (Germany) and the PDA is now XXBMD6, also Germany.
The problem now is that Kies finally recognizes the phone, but will never find updates, since it still has the Chinese S7562ZCLK2 baseband.
The question is: is there any way I can get the correct baseband, which I think is S7562DBTBME1, so I can have Kies detect the phone 100% correctly and let me install the latest update on it?
Thanks in advance.
In case anyone has thought of it, I have already found this post, but the info is not applicable to the Galaxy S Duos:

Had a similar issue yesterday when I tried to update my rooted 5.0.2 to an official 5.1.1. I have used ODIN many times before since SGS3, and back then you were able to mix your system image from other regions, but that apparantly has been locked down by Samsung. Now you can only update an official version of the rom if it exactly matches your existing region. Because you updated your SK international S6 and tried a region set rom from Czech it most likely failed towards the very end of flash with "FAIL".
Your options are: 1) you download the 5.1.1 version for your region in ODIN format from SAMMobile or 2) you use Smart Switch and let it do it for you - in this case you will need to know the SN of your phone as it is used for verification.
Samsung has locked down the serial number with the regions that come with it. So if you have to install, you should update it or use same region odin file. There is a way to break this chain if you are rooted and some additional files are being used in the odin but I am not completely sure as I have not tried it yet. But there are chances that you may void your warranty if you try that or the worse hard brick as it can sometimes change your serial number if not used properly. but I wouldn recommend that. I'll let you know once I understand the usage correctly.

Successful flash of SM-G920F - Anyone

OK, no matter what method I try I am unable to achieve a successful flash of my phone. I have tried it via odin with many different firmware versions but all seem to fail almost immediately. The only way to resolve this is to use samsung switch and reset phone to stock. The problem is stock firmware is german vodafone full of vodafone bloatware, I want to get rid of it and flash a UK unbranded firmware but no matter what I do I am unable to achieve this. I can see from the forum that there are many people out there with the same flashing problem but with no real responses on how to achieve the goal. There must be people out there that have achieved this task but don't seem to be offering up much help?
ok

Is your phone international unlocked out of the box? I dont believe it was, because as far as I've read international unlocked phones come with "unbranded" firmware. The unlocked ones I know can be pretty much flashed with "any" international firmware, which is what you are trying to do.
If you dont know for sure. Odin the stock German Vodaphone. Let the phone boot. Boot back to stock recovery, then factory reset and clear cache.
Then let the phone boot...Download phone info app by vndnguyen (free version is fine)...Open the app, go to CSC Code tab. Then that will tell you the active CSC code and your firmware CSC code...you are looking for the line that says Available CSC Codes. If it only lists German Vodaphone (VD2), then I believe you are stuck til the phone is unlocked.
Anyone, jump in here if I'm mistaken. I am using this as reference as, I've checked my G920F. Mine is unlocked tho and I can flash any firmware from any region with no problem. Hopefully I've answered your question.
I had no luck with the firmwares on the firmware page either.
If you are on OI9 check http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s6/general/guide-android-6-0-marshmallow-beta-how-t3277533
And try flashing the first stock firmware https://drive.google.com/folderview...sharing&tid=0B40ItdHKfkyQd1hJQXVDU3dDU2c#list (not the android M one!) via ODIN.
Basic process is:
Download the above file, extract, there should be 4 files inside (AP,BL,CP,CSC), simply select each one to go in the relevant box on ODIN, then go into download mode on your phone and click start...
N.B. Be aware that the above firmware contains a PIT file which will reformat and resize the partitions on your phone, so make sure you have a copy of the stock firmware that works before trying the flash (i.e. the one which Smart Switch downloads). You can grab it from your windows %TEMP% directory during the smart switch download (it first downloads a file to TMPxxx, then extracts it into a directory of the same name, its these files you want. They should be the four files beginning with the type of ODIN file you are flashing (AP,BL,CP,CSC). The files get deleted after the firmware has flashed so make sure you watch the process. If things go wrong you can re-flash these files via ODIN
As far as I was led to believe and when I purchased the phone it did state factory unlocked. I was able to put in any sim when I received it and didn't have to go through any aftermarket unlock process?

Just type in %TEMP% into you windows explorer address bar and it will take you there. arrange by date modified and you will see the size ticking up during the download, before the flash starts it will extract into a folder with the same name, the md5 files can be grabbed from there
No probs here

Ok, Got it this time, all four files. Will give the method above a go and if it fails at least I've got the stock firmware to fall back on?
Magic, have had great success. Now on the BTU firmware and everything is up and running. Got the stock as well just in case but if this continues to work won't be reinstalling stock. So a big thanks to those who helped

Will stock rom from other region have all capabilities of my region

I installed a twrp recovery and used it to root my SM-J710FN (Samsung galaxy j7 2016) with no problems, but then i thought of genius idea to disable OEM unlock in developer settings to stop anyone else from flashing firmware if my device was stolen. So next time i rebooted the phone i was greeted with "Custom binary blocked by FRP lock".
Now i can only go to download mode (now even into recovery). I searched and found that if i try to flash stock samsung-signed firmware, frp will let it install and i will be able to update my phone from SmartSwitch and it will be like new.
My problem is that i can't find any firmware from Europe/Serbia, only ones available are from Asia , India or Sri Lanka.
My question is, if i try to flash this firmware:
1. Will FRP let it flash since it is from another region
2.Will it affect any of my connecting capabilities(my phone can use all sim cards, it is not tied to carrier)(my phone supports 4G, LTE, NFC and all other basic connection tehnologies)
3.Could i have any other issues (will my IMEI change or anything else)
4.Will i be able to use SmartSwitch to update my phone later

ROM Dilemma

Hi Everyone,
I bought Samsung Galaxy S7 Duos from Dubai.
The phone becomes so annoying as it has some kind of Adware built-in, which always opens different kinds of websites, pop-up ads and PlayStore links (after every few minutes).
I tried every possible way to get rid of it but nothing useful, even the factory reset or hard rest doesn't work. Because the OS it self is buggy.
According to its Settings, the phone has Model No. SM-G930FD, and Android 7.0
Now I want to install the fresh and updated firmware, so I can free my self from this Adware and can enjoy Android 8.0
I have downloaded Android 8.0 firmware for SM-G930FD
I tried Odin to install this new firmware but encountered a new issue:
According to Phone's Download Mode, the phone model is SM-G930S instead of SM-G930FD
This means someone installed the local ROM on the Korean Phone. (am I right?)
Now when I'm trying to install Android 8.0 firmware for SM-G930FD (of any other region) it shows the error:
"Secure Check Fail: (PIT)"
I am out of ideas on what to try next
Whatever it says in download mode is what the phone actually is, everything else has been faked.
It's a common scam to use modified firmware to make a phone appear to be a different model, as some models sells for more than others.
This is likely what has happened to you, and also the cause of the apparent adware.
Stock G930F or FD firmware will bootloop a G930S, which is probably why Odin is refusing. You would either need to flash stock G930S firmware, or use a custom ROM compatible with G930S

Thank you for the clarification
Now when I'm sure that my phone has G930S model, the option of stock ROM is only one: Android 8.0, Korea (SK Telecom)
1. By Googling a lot about this scam I'm afraid that changing the ROM may covert the phone into Single SIM version!
2. And if I install Korea (SK Telecom) ROM, will it lock the phone to Korean network only?
3. Do you think that "Korea (SK Telecom) ROM" will change everything into Korean?
Can you please clear my doubts
I don't know enough about the Korean stock ROM to answer those unfortunately.
But I do know many custom ROM's are compatible with G930F/FD and S, so I would assume allow dual SIM.
