Question My US S22 Ultra SM-S908U1 has 2 IEMI numbers and a EID ? - Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra

Just noticed my US S22 Ultra SM-S908U1 has 2 IEMI numbers and 1 EID my fold 3 only has 1 IEMI and one EID.
Does that mean If I add a dual sim tray the phone will support dual sim cards instead of one sim and one esim ?

Nope. the 2 IMEIs is one for the physical sim and the other is for the esim. You can see they are labeled as IMEI and IMEI (eSIM).

When I dial *#06# it shows as IMEI1 and IMEI2 along with the EID number ?
I thought the EID = Embedded Identity Document or (eSIM) ?

Go to SETTINGS --> ABOUT PHONE and you will find the answer.. the eSIM still needs an IMEI

Got it - Seems the the eSIM is tied to IMEI #2 Thanks
Wonder if that has anything to do with why the US Fold 3 which has a EID number but no second IMEI don't have US eSIM support even after several Samsung support people told me the phones hardware does support it that it just needs a firmware update which will be coming ?

Is it possible to convert Single Sim to Dual Sim?

Hi
I'm about to purchase a Z5 (I know that is has 2 years now, but on a sale I think it's still a good buy). I'm wondering if it is possible to convert E6653 to E6683. I have a Huawei P8 lite and I have done it using https://forum.xda-developers.com/p8lite/general/guide-debranding-converting-single-sim-t3305977 . Is there any thing similar for the Z5?
Thanks
Is this really possible ?

I think NOT possible. Hardware should support this. After looking sim tray for both models, not possible to do that.

I agree that the hardware must support. In the P8 lite the trays are separated but the second SIM tray holds either the sdcard or the second SIM. You can see it in this picture that the SIM is put on the side
. So the Z5 single SIM tray might hold 2 SIM as well. The question is if the Z5 hardware will read the second SIM in that position (and then the software would have to be dual SIM, of course).

Samsung Galaxy S10e SM-G970N LTE Lock

Hi, i 'm pretty new to android (just made the jump from an iphone)
I got a Samsung Galaxy S10e (korean KTC version), and i noticed that the signal is always on 3G even though my phone supports both lte bands that are used by my carrier (B3 1800 and B20 800)
Digging into setting there is no way to chose preferred network mode but i notice there is a setting called service provider that has an giga lte option but when go to enable it it just says that "giga lte cannot be used while a non-kt USIM is inserted, insert a kt USIM and try again"
So i though is it possible to unlock the lte functionnality by flashing a rom through odin for the korean vertion of the phone but with no carrier lock?
I found this stock korean S10e rom with no carrier lock (screenshot bellow)
Did anyone do it before ?
Does it work?
They have the same model number but not the same CSC file, would it be possible that this works ?

If the phone carrier locked then flashing a rom will not unlock it. You would need a Sim unlock code from the carrier to use a different Sim card. You may me able to carrier unlock it from various websites that an unlock code for purchase. Try a Google search for Sim unlock code. Good luck.

Question How to change the CSC on Unlocked U1 for Verizon?

So I'm about to get my s22 ultra u1 tomorrow and I've been on here reading and it seems like Verizon puts their ugly 4G LTE icon on their CSC so I wanted to know if it is possible to switch to the XAA CSC. I'm also going to be putting an AT&T esim and TMobile esim as well.
TMobile U flashed to U1 I get the normal LTE icon

Yeah seems like you are on US mobile which shouldn't affect the icon I don't believe. Anyways I will see tomorrow. Mine is the u1 model purchased from BestBuy

Verizon prepaid sim is the same way. I put that in before I put the usmobile sim in so it would pull the Verizon CSC.

I guess you have got concept wrong. esim profile is only for LTE model and it only support one sim. The dual sim support is for the phones with dual sims for Bluetooth calling. Nothing to do with the watch esim profile

DZ09 dead after imei change

Mod translation:
Hello, I will tell you about my experience, I have 2 dz09 watches for some reason in my country they blocked my factory imei
Change the imei of the first watch but forget to put the SN1 (factory serial number) and the watch no longer turns on or detects it as a USB device.
On the second watch I did the same, but now I made sure that the serial number was the same as the factory one and the IMEI was changed successfully.
So the problem is the serial number.
Has anyone managed to turn on the DZ09 watch after forgetting the serial number?
The tool I use is "Write Imei R3.0.0.1"

The clock driver that works now is this one to use as a guide for the driver
(The clock that forgets to put the serial number is not detected by the computer at all)

Never heard of this. AFAIK an IMEI typically gets blocked / blacklisted by carrier when they get informed device got stolen.

For some reason the Chinese imei dz09 in my country with the original imei appear as sim registration invalid
But on the theft website, the imei does not appear as stolen.
