PB-6505M (Lenovo Tab V7) Bootloader Unlock/Flashing - Miscellaneous Android Development

Info about procedure
We will be flashing a bootloader taken from development firmware which contains all the normal fastboot commands and is signed with the production key. This allows us to properly unlock the bootloader the standard way.
This has only been tested on PB-6505M and PB-6505NC !
There is a very good chance of this this working on PB-6505MC and PB-6505Y but it has not been confirmed, be warned if the debug PB-6505M bootloader is not compatible it will likely brick the device. Please contact me before attempting it.
How to flash the debug bootloader
(Windows) QFIL
Download and install the Qualcomm drivers from here
Download the debug bootloader flash package from below
Extract the firmware to a folder that you can easily access them from like your desktop
Download and install QPST from here
Open the QFIL application (Find it in your start menu)
In the "Select Build Type" field select Flat Build
In the "Select Programmer" field navigate to the folder you extracted the firmware and support files to and select the prog_emmc_firehose_8953_ddr.mbn file
Select the "Load XML" button and navigate to the folder you extracted the firmware and support files to and select the rawprogram_unsparse.xml and then the patch0.xml when prompted.
Unplug and turn off your tablet
Hold vol+ and then plug in your tablet
If the text at the top of the QFIL application mentions qdloader move on to next step. If it says "No Port Available" click the "Select Port..." option and pick your device. If your device isn't showing up there you most likely didn't install the drivers properly.
Click the Download Button to begin flashing your device
Once complete make sure your phone is off and then hold vol+ and power until it vibrates and then let go of power but keep holding vol+ until fastboot screen appears
Now you can "fastboot flashing unlock" the standard way
(Windows) EMMCDL
Download and install the Qualcomm drivers from here
Download and unpack emmcdl tool from here
Download the debug bootloader flash package from below
Extract the firmware to a folder
Run the flash.bat file in the emmcdl and fill in what it asks for
(Linux, Mac, Advanced Windows)
Use Bkerler's Amazing EDL Toolkit Here

Astronomical man. Another hit out of space. More research!! Im just kidding.

thanks for your information, I unlocked my Lenovo PB-6505MC successfully using your method. when checking device unlock status, it returned some info like:
DM variety counter:0.
Device tampered: false,
Device cretical unlocked: false
((what these mean?))
I want to install magisk, and then patch boot file, but as it is Android 9 device, do I need some steps for disabling DM variety? if so what is the code and when to write these codes?

OK, after few trials, I could root my device successfully.

Здравствуйте!

Pre-setup:
You will need:
Universal ADB drivers
MTK Droid Root & Tools
SP Flash Tool
MediaTek PreLoader USB VCOM: I used this method from Hovatek which works on Windows 7 x64 but I can't vouch for other OS/architectures
Setup Instructions:
1. Install the Universal ADB drivers.
2. With your phone turned on, connect your phone via USB. USB debugging must be enabled and the phone must be connected as Camera (PTP) for any tools to access it.
3. Use MTK Droid Root & Tools to generate a scatter file.
4. Disconnect the USB cable. Turn your phone off and remove the battery. Reconnect the USB cable, keeping the phone turned off.
5. Open SP Flash Tool. Optional but highly recommended: use the Readback tab to backup your current ROM. Root is NOT required for readback backup. Load the scatter file generated in step 3. The download agent should be MTK_AllInOne_DA.bin by default, select it if it isn't.
6. Browse and select the recovery.img if it isn't already. Make sure that ONLY the checkbox to the left of RECOVERY is checked! The dropdown menu should be set to "Download Only", select it if it isn't. Click Download and wait for a green check mark to appear. Now it's safe to disconnect the USB, put the battery back in, start the phone, and reconnect the USB.
7. The fastest way to get to recovery is to boot normally, then open adb and type and enter adb reboot recovery to reboot directly into recovery. Holding volume up + power from the off state works too. Volume down + power enters factory test mode which isn't very interesting.
Notes:
The bootloader is unlocked. It appears that there's no easy way for a non-root user to tell that though, fastboot oem commands will silently hang indefinitely, fastboot getvar all only returns partition names and sizes, stock recovery doesn't show lock status...
All images must be flashed. fastboot boot will silently hang on 'booting...' indefinitely.
fastboot flash can be used to flash boot.img but not recovery.img, some sort of permissions issue
End:
Let me know if I forgot something.
This post appears to be intended to refer to SMT TELECOMM HK LIMITED X325 devices that use Life Wireless (mobile virtual operator) branding (There is also a Social Mobile Telecommunications branded version of X325).
The title refers to the device as "BPX325", but BPX325 is the model code of the battery, not the device.
Thanks for the recovery. It would also be good to state what version of TWRP the recovery is based on.

Oops, fixed. This uses TWRP 2.8.2.0. I only know for sure that it works on my device, maybe this will help determine compatibility?

I have unlocked bootloader with "fastboot flashing unlock" but now, have a message on boot screen and have to wait 5s more for boot
is there any way to bypass this message and 5s pause ?
there is a TWRP 3.3.1 on 4pda by nemo-nemo and helpers, but touchscreen don't work for me
Unlocked Bootloader cause this warning on Boot(Power Button should override the 5 secs Pause)
Dont using the recovery i dont know
Here is TWRP 3.3.1 for T1P2 (T30):

Thx to nemo-nemo on 4pda.ru
Hello,
I can confirm TWRP work fine but you have to use a USB-OTG mouse
The 1st time you boot on TWRP, you have a encryption code request, choose "cancel"
To disable force encryption, flash "DisableForceEncryption_treble" zip with TWRP
When you unlock bootloader of this T30, you have warning message and 5s wait to boot
There is a tweak to bypass this:
download script "orange_state_disabler" zip and flash it with TWRP
this script is fully safe, there is a compatibility test and don't flash if it can't.
Thx to XopmoH97 from 4pda.ru

What's your source ?
Have you verify this firmware ?
T30 is T1P2, not T1P1.
Look at your ID on tablet's backside: T1P2
Go to Teclast website firmware and search for
T1P1: unknown
T1P2 -> T30
Verify and test before publish, please

Unlocking bootloader is useless for 90% of users
Why ?:
- Only for fastboot commands
- Unlocking bootloader avoid warranty
You can do lot of things without unlock:
- Install TWRP (with Upgradetool)
- Install custom system, logo, boot, etc ... with upgradetool
and
You can root without unlock:
- Download firmware (T1P2) from teclast website and unpack in PC folder, ex: "T30_firm".

Unlocking bootloader is useless for 90% of users
Why ?:
- Only for fastboot commands
- Unlocking bootloader avoid warranty
You can do lot of things without unlock:
- Install TWRP (with Upgradetool)
- Install custom system, logo, boot, etc ... with upgradetool
and
You can root without unlock:
- Download firmware (T1P2) from teclast website and unpack in PC folder, ex: "T30_firm".
- Download and install "MTK_USB_All_v1.0.8" for MTK drivers (search on google)

Ill give it a try thanks.
It worked, thanks a bunch!!!
When I turn off the T30 and press download, nothing happens anymore. I tried it on both Windows 7 and Windows 10. Just nothing. I'm waiting 10 minutes, then I'll put a stop and i'm done. No change. Does the tablet really have to turn off? Otherwise it's very well described, I think I'm making a mistake somewhere, I just don't know where.

Try press "download" first and then, power off

For me these mtk tools only do anything when i plug into a certain usb port. I couldnt find one that worked on my desktop pc but on my laptop its the usb 2.0 slot that worked and not either of the usb 3 slots. Turn it off click download and then plug in the tablet and it should start assuming you have properly installed the needed drivers.
Thank you, thank you, thank you. It just wanted to press download first and then plug it into USB. Thanks again.

How to unbrick constantly vibrating Nokia 3 (TA-1032)

I have managed to revive my "black screen, constantly restart" Nokia 3 (TA-1032). Actually the hard part is to find the correct firmware and DA file. So this will mostly be a resource sharing post than a fully guide.
Things needed:
Firmware (Source)
SP Flash Tool
Download Agent (Source)
nbo unpack script
Latest Python 3 (If you are using a Linux distro, it is most likely to be preinstalled).
Note that Python 3 means Python 3.x(.y), not Python 3.0.
If you are using Windows 7, you can only use Python < 3.9.
Steps:
Download (and install) SP flash tool (5.x).
Download firmware, the download agent and the script.
Extract the downloaded firmware
Install Python 3 if you haven't. Run the script with the downloaded firmware (.nb0) path as the argument. It will extract the files.
Run SP flash tool (with root/admin privilege).
In the Download tab: Select the "Download Agent" as the downloaded "Download Agent" file from the above link. Select the "Scatter-loading file" as the scatter file from the extracted firmware. And select "Download Only" mode. ("Authenication File" can be left empty). Just let it be the default (all boxes checked, even preloader).
Plug the phone into the computer and click "Download". If the tool just stucks at 0%, or any error occurs that prevent the flash from starting, press and hold both the POWER and VOL UP button on the phone for about 10 secs, and it will be restarted. The click "Download" again (try it again if the error still occurs).
After done with flashing (green tick), close the program and disconnect the phone from the computer. Wait for about 2 mins (idk if it is necessary) then hold POWER to start the phone. Then wait for a long boot ("NOKIA" logo).
Now you have unbricked you phone. Enjoy

I'm assuming you are using Windows.
First, download Python 3 from here, then open the downloaded file to install Python.
While installing, if you see a checkbox that say "Add to PATH", check it. Then proceed to complete your installation.
After installing, download the "nb0 unpack script" to the same folder/directory as the firmware file (.nb0).
In that folder/directory, hold Shift and right-click on the file explorer, then click "Open powershell window here" or "Open command window here" (example).
Then type this into the command window (if you have changed the files' name, you also have to change them in the command)
Code:
python nb0-unpack.py NE1-215H-0-00WW-B02.nb0

You didn't select the "Download-Agent" as the Download Agent file from the link on my post. You are using the default Download Agent file of SP Flash Tool. You may also want to download the latest version of SP Flash Tool.

Yes, you right, because the SP tool don't accept that. Here is a pic about that:
I downloaded the latest SP tool from the link above here in your post.

Can you try placing the files to a "legacy-compatible" directory (no spaces, only ASCII characters (like a password)). For example, try placing the files (download agent, firmware, SP Flash Tool) in "C:\phone\nokia3\".
Yes, I relocated as you writed down, and now the download agent is accepted (that one which you linked here above), in an earlier version from the Flashtool, not the latest one. Flashing still need authorization file somehow. ( I tried to flash a rom with Authorization file needed, probably that going to be the reason. Originally I wanted to downgrade my Nokia 3 TA-1032)

If you have done the steps exactly as in my instruction and it still fail, then I can't help you anymore. Your phone may be in a different state than mine.
I have successfully unbricked my Nokia 3 (in a constantly restart cycle) on Arch Linux (I don't use Windows). If you want to give it a try, and if you are used to Windows User Interface, I recommend Linux Mint Cinnamon (Ubuntu is another popular choice, but its User Interface is very different from Windows, and Arch Linux is not easy to install if you are not used to command line interface and have some Linux knowledge).

THANK YOU VERY MUCH, BROTHER!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It worked!!
Now just have my story..... Actually, this was my friend's Nokia 3 which he gave me to root and I convinced him that I would root it and convinced him that there was no risk in it. Then I rooted the device for him very hardly but then I mistakenly deleted the os of the phone and then I searched the whole internet and found your post.... First of all, I got many errors while unpacking the nb0 file as I was using python 3.0, so I downloaded the python 3.8 installer but it wouldn't install because it was saying that that Service pack 1 was not installed in my Windows 7 but it was, hence I got very irritated and observed the log file and downloaded an update (KB3033929). Then I installed python 3.8 and thus I come to have a working mobile! I again rooted it and gave it to my friend and told him about these happenings.
Once again thank you very much!!! You saved my respect!!

Question [Guide] How to use SP Flash tool [Windows Only!]

Today I'm going to write how to use so flash tool for OnePlus Nord CE 2
Before you begin download: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1fL8qqu_pBK1YU5xbgugLax7ZKU-k3ex7/view?usp=drivesdk
This includes sp flash tool for our MTK version, drivers and MTK Bypass files!
Requirements: PC or Laptop
Internet connection
USB cable
Take a backup of your data, Just in case if any error happens.
Windows Method
Requirements:
SP_Flash_Tool_5.2112.00.zip
drive.google.com
Decrypted OFP for our device! You can find it on Google!
Install Python from Windows Store
https://sourceforge.net/projects/li...ibusb-win32-devel-filter-1.2.6.0.exe/download
libusb-win32 - Having Issues? Click Here
Steps:
1) Extract the zip
2) Use the bundled QcomMtk_Driver_Setup_3.1.9.exe from the zip. for MTK Preloader USB VCOM driver it should be installed within windows 8 and above?
3)Download this file and install it, after installing power off phone and connect to pc while holding Vol+- (don't leave the buttons after connecting) . You might need this driver as well if it's not detected.
Press next, connect your device to PC while holding Vol+- buttons (your device needs to be powered off, and don't leave the buttons) and you will see the mtkdriver down below. Install it.
Choose MediaTek USB Port and install it.
4)Then run the brom.bat under Bypass folder (spflashtool/mtk-bypass/bypass). (for Linux, When available) use command: python3 mtk payload to start the BROM exploit!
5) Now power off the phone and connect the phone while holding volume + and - (Don't leave the buttons until the bypass is done)
6)After the above step Go into Flash Tool folder and open the SPFlash tool and launch flash_tool.exe

8)Now in Sp flash tool select the scatter file which you have extracted from Partitions.zip and make sure that prealoder, lk, and lk2 is selected.
9) You don't need to select auth file as authorization is disabled. Once you do it, it should look like this. ALWAYS MAKE SURE DOWNLOAD ONLY MODE IS SELECTED! DON'T SELECT OTHER MODES!
Make SURE "Download Only" is selected. Don't select ANYTHING ELSE! You will lose your IMEIs, Serial Numbers, Capability of Hardware Attestation etc. if you choose "Format data + Download" make SURE you selected "Download Only".
10) Now, you can start downloading with the button and after that a checkmark will appear. You can reboot your phone
After flashing it should look like this. Download has been complete.
