Question Will a Note 7 S Pen work on the S22U? - Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra

Yes it will. It stows away just fine as well.

Surface Pro Pen for Galaxy Note 4 (Old Cintiq Stylus Works Too)

Hey do any of you have a Surface Pro? Can you test out the stylus from your Surface Pro with the Samsung Galaxy Note 4? I read in the YouTube comments that it works for Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and even the eraser function on this 2003 Cintiq stylus works.

as far as the surface, it looks awesome but nobody is buying it. I honestly do not know a single person that has one.
Surface pro 2 pens work as they use wacom feel tech, sp3 pens will NOT work.

Man, completely different experience here. I know 8 people that have surface 3 pro, and 3-4 that have surface 1 pro.
Basically everyone I know that is into 'thin' laptops, and not a Mac user, has a surface pro 3.

Pro 2 pen works, but definitely feels like plastic gliding on glass vs the S-Pen or Pro 3 pen feeling a bit more realistic. The eraser function works as far as actually erasing bits of a stroke and not an entire stroke. The button brings up air command. But the capacitive buttons do not work. The pen is also not calibrated properly because the "dot" appears slightly to the right of the pen tip (for righties) or to the left (for lefties).

We have bought 15...great systems. now that you know me you can change your statement and forget about media and marketing wars. I am using the pen right now. It's very bizarre since it works for clicks, it doesn't work on the keyboard nor on the S pen pad...
Interesting, I have a surface pro 1 and i'll test it later when I get home tonight. Funny thing, I know multiple people have surface pro as well. I know it's not selling like the iPad or android tablet but it's a full blown PC in tablet form. I guess microsoft is not marketing it well enough for people to mistaken as just a tablet.

I've got a Surface Pro 3 I use for work. As the IT manager, I could have gotten a tablet, laptop and desktop. I chose to just try the the Surface Pro 3 with docking station. I have two 27" Samsung monitors and the Surface works well as a desktop replacement with it's SSD's, i7 and 16GB of RAM. When I go to meetings I just rip the keyboard off and use it as a tablet.
My only complaint lies with Windows 8.1. What it doesn't do and what I hope Windows 10 does is to dynamically adjust my resolution depending if it's docked or not. 1920x1080 looks great on my 27" monitors, but on my 12" display I would need a magnifying glass. So I have to change rez when I undock. I hope the OS will become more aware of such things in the future.
My Wacom Intuos pen doesn't work though.
I have a SP1 that I bought used, for drawing, didn't come with a pen, and i've always used the one for my Note 10.1 with it.
My motioncomputing Wacom pen works in N4. Erasure works as well. Using Wacom and Note1 SPen on Note1, or Wacom and Note3 SPen on Note3 felt similar. But using the same Wacom and N4 SPen on Note4 is very different. First I realized I need to press little harder when using Wacom and the dot is not properly aligned. It must be that N4 SPen has better technology built in.

Note 5 S-Pen compatible with Note 4?

Hey all. Have anybody experiences with the Note 5 Spen on the Note 4?
Thx
I don't think so. Besides even if it did work where are you gonna put it? I don't believe it'll fit inside the holder.
This isn't an answer to the question in the OP, but a personal observation that may help (?).
I have both the Note 4 (obviously) and a Note 10.1 2014 edition tablet. The tablet is older than the Note 4, and it's s pen works on my Note 4. However, the Note 4's s pen won't work at all on my tablet. I can't tap, scroll, or even use the button.
So my assumption is that older s pens can work on newer devices (+/- accuracy or something), but newer s pens won't work on older devices.

I've bought one from America and hope to get it soon and will give you a feedback than

Well, I don't want to derail this thread, but it's odd that my Note 4 s pen doesn't work on my tablet running stock 4.4.2 (There's no update for the p600 model).
Edit.
Looks like if you have "Disable Pen Detection" unchecked on your table's settings, then the Note 4's S pen works. I've always kept this option checked, which makes the N4 S pen not work.
So I change my initial asdumption. Any S pen should work as long as you uncheck "Turn Off Pen Detection" on your phone's settings.

The touch part and button work, but I don't think it'll fit properly in the note 4. I didn't cram the s pen in the slot and stopped as soon as I felt resistance. It's not really locked in place and can fall out easily. Maybe you are braver than I and try to push it in deeper. Also, the phone didn't recognize the note 5 pen being inserted.
I hope it will it looks awesome and I think it feels awesome, too. I hope so ^^
it don't looks like to so much differences.. I think the biggest difference are at the touch part or the beginning. the length is the same.
..
here the bottom part
What does not fit is made to fit
I will make some pictures when it does arrive and show you the results
They don't have the same body shape. They are both rectangular with rounded corners, but the note 5's pen is more rounded and I think a little slimmer. It is looser in the Note 4 slot. The Note 4's pen doesn't even go in the Note 5 at all. I guess you can maybe add some tape to thicken it up and should stay in by friction. I just don't know how to get the Note 5 pen to be recognized in the Note 4 pen slot.

Note 4 or S6?

Hey all! I have owned the S6 for 4 months now and previously owned a Note 4 for 6 months.
I'm thinking to go back to the Note 4 and ditch the Note 5. What do you think?
Well, question for you is what size of display is better for you. Personally i switched from Note 4 to the S6 because Note was too big for my small hands. Also S6 has new touchwiz that is incredibly fast for me. It's like 50% faster than old version.
Note 4 has old fingerprint scanner. If you're thinking about Note 5 then you need to know about size. I was talking about this.

Size doesn't matter, the functionality and battery life does for me. I dont know if the 5.1.1 on the note 4 has the new touchwiz. But from the reviews I've read, note 4 seems more efficient than note 5

Use Note 10 plus Spen with Note 20 ultra

If i use the Note 10+ spen with Note 20 ultra will I still get the 9ms latency ? And will all new air gestures work , Im planning to buy a replacement Spen and the Note 10+ spen is almost half the price of Note 20s.
When I tried air gestures with the Note 10's spen, it wouldn't work.

It will work once you connect it, but you will NOT get 9ms latency. That Note 10 S pen had around 42ms latency from my understanding. Samsung says that the new Pen has had its acceleration sensors and gyroscope enhanced so that it receives coordinates more frequently, also improved the reaction time of the S Pen by using in-house technology to write directly on the screen buffer.

After some search the Spen it self has nothing to do with the latency , the note 20 & Note 20 ultra use the same spen but with different latency it is a factor of screen controller itself and the AI of the software , and for improved accelerometer & Gyroscope the Note 10 spen works with the all gestures of Note 20 normally , Im sure now they are the same Spen with different colors
Can say for a fact the 2 pens are different in some way. Air Actions only works with a Note 20 pen.
My Note 10 pen works for everything else.

For air actions to work you should pair the note 10 spen with note 20 , insert the note 10 pen in the note 20 then choose reset spen from the settings ” attached picture ”
Then allow use multiple spens
Interesting enough my pen doesn't want to pair.
This may be a bit of a cheat, but when I received my Note 8, I contacted Samsung support because the clicky top was wobbling, I sent them a video to show them and they sent me a warranty replacement. The new one did the same thing, so could have just been the design. Might be worth a try with this new phone...

Anyone figure out how to connect the note 10 spen to the note 20 ultra. I have two note 10 spens and they will not connect no matter what I do. I have plugged it in and chose reset. I let my note 20 pen battery die and then try it. I even tried wiping the data for the air command app and still nothing. I'm assuming like everything Samsung does, they are forcing your to buy a new note 20 pen.

Figured that Samsung would do some bull**** like that so they can squeeze a few extra bucks out of everyone. Completely rediculous just like not including headphones or the spen tips. Thanks for the update.

Lol... it wouldn't surprise me. If the update is software not firmware just uninstall the software update and go with the factory load version. I've had to do that with a couple apks... cheap tricks count.
The new spen has longer uptime on its cap/battery too if my memory serves me correctly. Was reading a good write up on it about 2 weeks ago but can't find that info now.
Just bite the bullet
Damn spens are born with a bulls eye on them, no doubt.
With a hard drop even in a good case they love to pop out. Cute.
You have to carefully approach the downed note least you inadvertently step on it's spen or leave it behind.

Question S-Pen Charging...

I got the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE. I am NOT sure how to charge the S-Pen. Nothing in YouTube or the manuals in samsung site. I see some reviews that it can't be wireless (or bluetooth?) charged. I attach it to the back of the tablet but not sure whether it's charging.
Also, I am unable to check how much battery is left on the S-Pen as well? Any ideas?
The S-Pen which comes with the SGT S7 FE does not have the same bluetooth features as the regular SGT S7 or S7 Plus.

Did you read my reply? Here is the short answer the S-Pen which comes with the Galaxy Tab 7 FE is not rechargable!!! It gets it power off the electromagnetic grid that is embedded in the display.

Wow, your initial reply didn't say anything remotely close to the electromagnetic grid as it simply states that it doesn't have the bluetooth features like its bigger cousins.
In the reviews, I too found out that it doesn't have bluetooth features and only your reponse came close to how it gets its power. So, if it gets its power off of the grid, then isn't that superior to the bluetooth features as you don't need to charge it all?
Unfortunately, the Samsung support has no clue about how it gets charged as well. They keep reciting the features of S7+.
Anyways, thanks for the response.

My bad, I thought that you had a basic understanding of how the S-Pen works lol
The bluetooth features for bluetooth enabled S-Pen is to provide addition functions, like being able to use the S-Pen as a remote to take pictures on your Note 9/10/20. Or being able to use it to control the media player. Or allow you to use it as a wand to swipe up and down to change from the main camera to the front facing camera.

Gosh, I know how the SPen works and you don't even get my original question. Please read it and educate yourself if you are going to respond to my question.
Let's be clear, the answer to the question how do you charge the S pen included with the Tab S7 FE is you don't. It does not require charging. It has no battery. It is a dumb pen.
If you are talking about an S pen which has smart features and does require charging, i.e. one that did not come with your Tab S7 FE reviews suggest the Tab doesn't have the ability to charge those pens while the S7 non-FE does. If you wanted smart features I think you would have to use the S Pen Pro which charges via USB-C.
will the new tab s7 FE spen work with other Samsung models?
I understand spens are cross compatible between smartphone and tablet models. For example, the spen of a note 8 will work on a tab s7+ and vice versa.
It is important to clarify that this applies to the tip (nibs) of the spens. The obvious exception to this rule is the wireless functionality of the latest spen models with older smartphone/tablet models. But the basic works, that is, using the spen for handwriting and drawing.
Please corrent me if wrong.

Yes. All S-Pens will work on other Note and S-Pen enabled devices with the exception of the Galaxy Z Fold 3, as that has it's own dedicated S-Pen. Due to the more delicate display.

Also add the Note 20 Ultra to that list of devices the basic (dumb) S-Pen will not work with. I tested it on my Tab S4 (my trade-in device for getting the S7 FE for $162) as well as my S7+ and it works with them, but not my Note 20 Ultra.
