Question Throttling Issue + UBL issue - Realme GT Neo 2

I just got the gt neo 2 yesterday and i found that its throttling too aggressively.
Noticed it while playing game Mobile Legends, first few minutes it runs fine but after that it starts to stutter a lot.
My 3 years old mi 8 with snapdragon 845 can perform way better (rooted and thermal engine diaabled).
Then i tested on cpu throttling application, and it became clear, the cpu starts throttling to arround 85% max performance after 10 minutes, thats a shame, this phone advertised as having cooling system and high performance but throttles after just 10 mins..
I want to ubl and root it to disable the thermal but i have problem that says device not supported. I am on latest realme ui 2.0.
Need some advice.. thanks before

hi, playing mobile legends too on this phone, no issues ever appeared. Maybe software problem? tried reset to factory?

The throttling problem has been solved in A07 update..

P20 lag after factory reset

After I have done full factory reset, my P20 started to lag. I experience latency during opening apps, scrolling is not smooth as it was before. Basically I experience lag in general.
I tried to so factory reset again, it got a bit better, but lag still exists. Also, I have tried to compare app opening speed and performance with my friends new P20, so his phone works way more smoother.
What else I can do with my phone?
Maybe there is an update available for you? I have no idea tbh, try maybe rebooting like 3 times.
Sent from my EML-L29 using XDA Labs
I have only updated once, right after seting up phone first time. Right now there is no updates available
same problem with my p20
even in lineage rom, I have lag on it so it's not emui the problem
I have never seen a smartphone so slow

Is it lagging after you done factory reset?
he always had lags since the beginning, with or without factory reset
with emui and with lineage os, so it's not software but hardware
Seems like these are some defective units or I am extremely lucky. Never had any sort of lag. Performance has been top notch for me.
Also there is no official lineage available for this device so I'm not surprised about the lag. Although I've read that 3 or so reboots usually fix the lag.

Believe me I'm feeling really fusfrating.
Yeatarday I have installed new EMUI version so right now my battery started to drain super fast.
30 minuts of usage would take 10% battery, the f*** is this...
Getting really good performance as well. I have not experienced any sort of lag to speak of.

Pubg on note 10 SD 855

I'm playing on the note 10 snapdragon 855.. I ordered the Chinese version snapdragon so I can play perfectly on pubg.. The game runs like a charm with 60 fps on hdr graphics and extreme fps.. Recently maybe 3 days ago now the game doesn't run as smooth.. It looks like the game can't run on 60 fps anymore.. As if it's locked to 40 or 45 fps.. Tried reinstall the game.. Lowering graphics even tried other 60 fps games like asphalt 9 and no luck.. Only pubg not running as smoothly as it was.. Even I tried the gfx tool with all settings low except 60 fps and no luck.. Now it's even worse than my old note 9.. I tried the game on my friend's phone xaomi mi 9 with snapdragon 855 and it was running smooth.. I just got this phone like one month ago.. Anyone having same issue?!
I’ve been facing the same issue Nd I just couldn’t handle it so I read few options online.i tried one of them Nd it worked.try uninstalling update for game launcher and game optimisation service and update them again Nd restart your phone and clear your ram from device maintenance 4 to 7 times and it should work then. That’s what I did.if not repeat the process.the problem was dat it there was no difference between ultra and extreme fps..
Guys why not just get a Xbox or PS4 if your after gaming ? Think about it, it's not fan cooled the Note 10 + it's just a marketing play yeah you can play pubg or Fortnite but for hardcore gaming the note 10 + is not the phone to get.. it will lag or get a bootle kneck that you are experiencing! You need to get ASUS ROG Phone II or Razer Phone 2 that are manufactured with gaming in mind!
i do not agree, know some really good hardcore gamers without any keypad just plain smartphone display and are really good in WoT or PUBG or fortnite

It's not about gaming itself.. it's about that the phone is not functioning as it should be.. when I spend double the price for a phone with certain specs, I don't wanna see much cheaper decics with same chip works better!

Haven't you seen that video Snapdragon vs Exynos? Samsung CPU suck when it comes to gaming! They start to throttle bottleneck 10mins into gaming Samsung Exynos is the wrong phones to purchase if you are after gaming..
Quick question do you have face unlock enabled ? And what about finger prints? If to both is yes delete face unlock and disable it, same goes for finger prints delete them don’t use any form of locks. Then try gaming!
Let us know if you get a performance boost!

I have the problem again now.. and I don't know why when I install all my apps it'll happen soon, but if I installed only pubg on the phone can be fine too long..
anyway.. can't find the option to uninstall updates for game launcher and game optimisation service.. how u did it?!
Im having the same problem here. My pubg seems like got locked at 30 to 40 fps after i update my phone, have you found the solution? I tried everything but i still cant do it.
Okay, quickfix which works for Exynos and may work on SD too. Essentially while in game, when the framerate begins to fall, press the home button or recent apps button, goto another app for a second and then come back to the game and things should run smoothly for a while. The reason it lags imo, is because of an age old throttling system on Samsung Devices called DVFS
Did u find any solution ? i have the same issue here. i did GPU watch so i found that in Graphic setting the Ultra and the Extrame are the same FPS which is 39-40 max. i tried Call of duty adn did the same .. i could get 60 FPS
so uninsalled the game but that didint fix it ,, so i contacted PUBG and see if they can help me..
Edit> i found it by accident
install Package Disabler Pro and disable the game optimizing service and there you go 60 FPS is back
feel free to thank me
I had the same issue. I fixed it by going to Developer options, scroll down to hardware accelerated rendering, and make sure Disable HW overlays is checked on. I have the t-mobile version note10, but I'm not sure of this matters.
I had the same issue with my Tab S6, also an SD 855 device. All i did was clear the cache of PUBG and now it runs as smooth as a fresh install. I noticed the cache was bloated to about 2gb on mine. Hope this helps. Update me if it works.
Thank you.

Aim issue
Hey sorry its off the topic but do you think the 3rd person close combat sucks in note 10+. I mean the aim gets stuck and u cant control it. If not then, can u send the senstivity settings for 3rd person pls.
My solution
I had a similiar problem earlier. I eventually got frustrated and uninstalled PUBG.
Few weeks later, I found out the problem was in phone settings -> Device care -> Battery -> Power mode.
I had it set to 'optimized' which doesnt work well with the game.
The solution was to set the power mode to 'High performance '. Start the game and enjoy*

android 11 major battery and performance issues

so i got the phone almost 2 years ago with andoid 9 and it was fast and smooth no overheating and ~5h screen on time and with every update it got slowwr and hotter with worse battery now wirh android 11 i barely get 2.5h screen on time and takes 2h+ to chanrge instead of 1.2hours and it gets hot with more than 3 apps in the backgrounds would a factory reset even change anything or do i not bother and sell it
btw its exynos model runing 2 sims all the time and alwaya updated through ota wirh same apps (tried app optimizer from samsung but same thing)
imho a clean installation by Odin w factory reset could improve your situation

Yes, yes it does.
Scope storage and all kinds of CPU cycle sucking useless Apple like crap. More needed app privileges barred making trusted apps like Karma Firewall next to useless.
My Note 10+ is still running well on Pie.
It has some bad vulnerabilities but in practice I have yet to do a force reload due to malware.
My recommendation is to flash it back to Pie or Q if you liked that. Q is pretty screwed up too.
Google is on a prolonged Vista style losing streak
Trust Google? not... and Google nobody wants a bloody Android Apple.

Question Overheating and drop to 60Hz

Hi,
I have been using my Xperia 5 III for a week now. Everything is well but the phone overheats when going about completely normal day to day tasks. Just the use of a slightly more intensive application like Uber heats the phone up.
When this happens, the screen automatically drops to 60Hz. I cannot seem to disable this 'feature'. While charging, needless to say, the phone pretty much stays in 60Hz for the first half of charging time due to overheating.
Is the above normal? I don't seem to see any background updates. I would not mind the overheating if the display would just remain at 120Hz. Will rooting or modding be able to overcome this?
Cheers!
not at my dayly use of the X5 III
just went hot at first day of many installations but after than not anymore.
Found a good solution to the overheating: rooted (Magisk) and used Franco Kernel Manager to disable the big core and a couple of the middle ones, thing still absolutely flies, and now never gets hot.

Nothing intensive. Just Uber, Teamviewer and Google Maps. Surprisingly, games do not get the phone hot. I have tried both the German and Hong Kong Xperia 5 IIIs. Same for both.

Can say the same. Many reboots, fastboot, flashmode and back and my Phone is "cold".
Had never a Problem with hot or warm device
And still, having to root and disable a core or something isn't a solution I'm content with. Especially because the 5 II didn't have those problems. I understand they do this to preserve the battery but honestly it didn't really matter with my old phone and I used it a lot when it was hot.
I recently upgraded my 5 II to a 5 III and although I still don't wanna believe it, it's getting pretty obvious that the phone throttles the FPS from 120 to 60 Hz. The Xperia 5 II only did this sometimes when you were charging and gaming simulatenously.
However with the 5 III it sometimes tends to throttle just when you are surfing through the net or using some apps. During gaming without charging it also throttles often.
mine got super hot in like 5 min of instagram or youtube vids. It also tends to get hot and throttle a bit on music playback, i'm starting to assume that is not normal
I haven't noticed any of those with my 5III. It has behaved like my 5II for the last 6 months. Only issue I've had with heat is if I'm shooting a lot of 4k video with the CinePro app in the direct sunlight in the Texas summer.
Only gets hot when streaming.
Besides that, Ive never seen the hot temps message pop up.

I thought about doing it. I would also like to hear any experience. If no one did it yet, I will probably attempt in the next few days.
The airtiggers problem with the lintern shortcut only start with de display off, some app work very slow or no start, my phone is a Tencent version with WW fingerprint

I'm on Version WW-31.0810.1226.91. My experience is very bad. Multi-core performance has dropped drastically, and I'm facing stutters while gaming since the CPU usage is reaching 100%.

Don't expect anything from the service center guys, I've already got my motherboard replaced just after 4-5 months of purchase, that was an awful experience! It took 45 days for them to resolve.
Now gaming has become hell, If Phone gets heated upto 44 - 45 degrees, Can't even play anything without my AC turned on. CPU gets down when the temp is high, from 2.8 ghz to 845 MHz when Xmode is turned on.
Everything is a mess now

True.
My CPU was throttling even at low temperatures. I bought the mobile to play Apex Legends Mobile. It mainly relies on multicore performance, which was F'ed up by the A12 update.

I mean, when you not satisfied with new update, you can flash raw files to rollback the firmware then update to the best version firmware you know
