Question Steering Wheel Controls customization on CC3 - FYT Android Head Units

Hi everyone
I have just installed my CC3 Unit on my Mazda 6 connected with the SimpleSoft Canbus box.
Now I wanted to remap my hardware keys using the SWC app from Teyes and this does not work.
Meanwhile I have read a lot of threads in here, but I'm still not 100% sure, if I completely understood the Canbus SWC things.
Is it true, that I cannot remap the hardware keys using the Teyes SWC app, if I connected the Canbus box?
If yes, is there another way of customizing the Steering Wheel Controls with short press/longp press?
Many thank for any answer.

When a CANbus is connected, you can't remap keys ("keys learning") as it is hard coded.
You can use my FYTHWOneKey.apk (see my signature) to make "aliases".
There is no option for short press/long press, which is very buggy anyway in the T'eyes software itself.

Thanks for your reply. Will probably check your tool.
But meanwhile Teyes Support wrote me, that I need to cut one cable of the Canbus and connect it directly to Key1 on the Teyes device to use Steering Wheel Control learning.
Will give that a try first.

Well on my Canbus Box (Simplesoft) it's PIN no. 10 which I have to connect to Key 1 on my CC3
But I guess it depends in the Canbus Box you have.

Hey, the Programming Function ist now activated and i can Program Them as i Like. But the vol Up and down ist going Mad everytime i Try to get Them to Work. When i Program The vol Up, it Always goes Up Till the End Volume and vol Down too. So i think the Resistance (i think it is Handled via Resistance) is to wobbly and is interfering with the Long Press Button Feature.
Such good Potential on this unit, but so many barricades

Absolutely agree. The unit itself is amazing. Especially in regards of the price. But yes, there are some barricades unfortunately.
I decided to not change from Canbus to the direct connection of the "keys" to the CC3 unit, since most of the functions I would like to have, are not yet supported by Steering Wheel Control Learning.
Especially seeking within music tracks with long pressing the "Next" button on my Steering wheel is not provided as a command on CC3, which is one of the most important features I would like to have.
I have already placed a feature request at Teyes, but I guess this will not come within the next weeks, if ever...

You probably have the same issue, we discussed before. You may have to connect the corresponding cables from the Canbus box to the key cables on the CC3. Just read the comments above.

I recently installed teyes cc3 into my 2008 fj cruiser. I am trying to set up the steering wheel controls. I am having trouble deciphering all of the symbols for the control. Is there a map key for the symbols?

Good morning, Sir!
It might be that @robertheywood is more interested what the XDA community says and recommends than any seller. I think this is very much legitimate and actually what this forum is for.
We'd highly appreciate if our users receive constructive answers to their questions and not suggestion that imply to search outside of XDA. Thanks for your understanding.

Implication is to contact the person who sold the device and therefore supports that device and to then share that information with the community. It is actually a good starting point to engage with the community, who can then answer pointed and well formed questions, without going into an endless loop of guess the question.
I could suggest that members join XDA to get free support for their paid device, without doing any work up front first, and then promply leave, but that is not what I said.
I would also be great to see active moderation of these forms for the amount of junk posted, including off topic posts, post in the incorrect forums - but that's not my concern.
If this post is deleted without acknowledgement, it will be the last I make.

Really sorry to drag up this thread, but there is little to no info regarding my situation availaable online, and I'm hoping you can help!
I'm strongly considering the Teyes CC3 for my 2014 Mazda 3, but if I use the Simplesoft canbus, I want to confirm steering wheel controls will work after the switch, specifically the volume up/down, skip track forward/backward, and phone answer/hangup? Like you, I can live without long-press seek.
Thanks!

The only way to answer the question is to try it and see what happens, sometimes these canbus translators are programed correctly and sometimes not. Sometimes telling the HU you have a different Mazda will correct a fault but its a roll of the dice. If it does not work then it cannot break the HU so then you can try the first using the info in post 5.

lmao.. i find this video so funny... first of all... all car alarm are encryped code radio not IR... if it was IR then that means that any one with a programmable house remote control could open your car... LOL
that guy probly has someone behind the camera with a set of back ups pushing the button for him...
but i am quite curious if it really does work though... i have seen a lot of """impossible"" things being done here so there is no doubt in my mind that some way or some how it is possible.
could anyone confirm?
I have tried the phone trick where you call someone push the button then it will unlcook the car and it works semi well. Takes a while for the car to receive it.

I don't have time to watch the video right now...but on the theoretical side.
It could be possible. The first generation Renault Laguna & Rover 800 series used IR central locking. I know as I've had these cars and what fun it was trying to get into the blooming things on cold mornings when frost on the windows blocked the line of sight for the IR beam, and the door locks were frozen!
My old Ipaq had Consumer IR, which meant with programs like Vito Remote it was possible to program it to work TV's, VCR's etc, so with the right software...
Now any modern radio controlled central locking or car alarm system is basically a radio receiver working on a rotating frequency. The keyfob has a mini trnsmitter in it, syncronised to issued the unlock or disarm command on a certain frequency. So it could be possible to program any transmitter to do the same job, but I don't see this being a big threat due to the millions of possible combinations!
This is what I was talking about, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L_z4zX3BBHw&feature=related. I think that video is fake but I did it and it worked I was at school and my friend was at home sick and he left his car at school so I told him this we tried this and it worked.

Agreed its amusing but it is definitely way OT for the Kaiser forum, especially as we don't even have an IR port on the Kaiser
Renault Megane from 1996 can be opened with Wizard and remote program learned from the original key.
However it works for some time only. You can't open with the learned code after some time (eg. the next day).

Epic 4G video/audio out to RCA or USB for NAV in car? 2008 or 2009 G35/G37

Can someone please post a link for where I can buy a cable that will allow me run run video/audio out from my Epic 4G to my current 08 G35 TV screen via RCA?
When my lease runs out on the G35, the new G37 replaces the RCA video/audio in with USB. Can someone post a like for where I can buy a cable for sending video/audio from my Epic to the USB in of the G37?
Thank you.
Did you try the search button or the wiki? Or did you expect someone else to do that work for you? While we're on the subject, if you have the money to piss away on a G37, you have money to pay someone who knows what they're doing to set it up for you.
HAD you done any reading (rather than expecting us nerds to work for you for free) you'd see video is not happening (at least not yet, and possibly never). Audio is certainly possible, and VERY EASY, but if you can't figure that out you have no business trying to get wired into a car stereo (much less in a LEASED car).

edit. since hes duplicating this thread in the evo shift thread, im going to assume he doesnt own either of these phones or a g35. we'll see i guess when he posts pics.
I searched "RCA" and found nothing.
I own G2 and will be trading it in for a Shift or a Epic after CTIA.
I own a 2008 G35x and will be trading in for 2011 G37x.
FYI: My company ended up making the entire division take Blackberries.
Short answer: no.
Has anyone tried microUSB to TV/Monitor USB port for video and audio?
What happened?
Thanks.
After all day on the phone with Samsung, video and audio out to an external monitor for dual display is not possible with the Samsung Epic.
Shame on you, Samsung.

The only thing fast out of asia is a 1000+cc bike and a HIGHLY modified GTR/Supra, but I digress.
The fact that the Epic won't do AV out for dual display is still pathetic.
ppl, we gotta keep pushing on this. For the same reasons others have to get this working. Especially with netflix now working, to have the tvout option would be the cherry on top. Like many, its not to connect to my house tv but for my car tv!!!!! Big thanks and respect to the all devs out there.
Isimple makes some nice audio in devices. I just put one in my 3g acura TL to get an aux port on my XM button.
I had to go through a ton of crap to get audio on my g35 06 working, had to intall a switch in the dash to enable sat connection since there wasn't a simple jack built in and bluetooth didn't work. Was amazed. So annoying and basic and it didn't have it.

I have an 07 g35x. The best solution to streaming audio from Epic is a BT gateway.... there is no way to display video because Epic´s video out is not enabled.

[QUESTION] FM Transmission

Hi everyone.
I've got a question for everyone out there. You know those FM transmitters that you can purchase for ipods mp3 palyers etc, is it possible to make our FM chips transmit instead of receive? Would be fantastic to use in the car as a music player through cars stereo via FM frequency and no additional cables etc...
Just asking....

No. It's hardware based, not software.
Please, next time post question in Q and A subforum. Not Development.
First of all WRONG SECTION
Second - No. You would need to open the phone and change the hardware and possibly the software too. So no.
Since it's illegal in France I don't think Samsung include it
Sent from my GT-I5800 using xda premium
No, it's not possible + illegal in many countries as you need licenses for transmitting.. However if you are so curious grab a wireless headphone and use it's transmitting unit that works as short range transmitter... (WORKED FOR ME ) but you CANNOT use Radio as a Transmitter coz Transmitter uses many other things (ask electronics expert)
SECOND - WRONG SECTION SO REPORTED.. You should use Google and not XDA. This is Android Development section and your question is not related to neither Android nor Development..

TF700 dock - trackpad not working [SOLVED by ShadowLea]

Hi all. I bought my Transformer with the TF700 dock in November and today I noticed the trackpad isn't working, i.e. it doesn't generate the blue mouse pointer when I swipe, and doesn't register any button clicks.
Is there any chance this is only a software issue? If so, how could I go about fixing it? I've tried shutting down and powering up again with no success, but I'm not very eager to do a factory reset because I have a ton of apps and files that would be a chore to save and restore...
[EDIT] Just to clarify, the dock *is* working apart from the trackpad, i.e. I get the keyboard and battery. USB mouse is also working.
There's a key on the top left above the 3 with an icon that looks like a trackpad with a diagonal stripe through it. Hit that

MTCD 5.1 Units Spotify

Hi Everyone,
I have a Joying unit with 5.1 and I love it. Only big problem I have is that the unit does not work very well with spotify. I need help doing the following:
1. How can I set the steering wheel button to launch Spotify or any music app I choose? Right now I am only able to launch the default music player.
2. Pressing next song via the steering wheel works on the default media player but not with Spotify. Anyone know how to fix this?
Also to the Mods I see there is a MTCD dev section but not a Q&A section. Will there be one soon?
I'd like to know the answers as well!
I tried the app CarService by Keiser but I cant figure out how to get the key codes since all I have is SWC for next.

We as in Joying? Why don't the resellers like Joying and Erisin fund the development of better apps and roms? I think that would lead to a better product and more sales.
I really think it would be a good deal for Joying to gift a 5.1 unit to Malaysk!
...Maybe Joying don't know how many head units are sold in the world only because of his modded rom?

I got into the head units because I use them my self and now I am sell and repair Joying Head units but I barely make any money to cover the cost of free head unit for donation.
I have tried to convince the manufacturers to donate a unit but they would rather do their own development so this is left up to the community. what I can do is get it to him for the cost price and maybe with a free DVR or something.
