Stress level measuring is not working for me on the gw4, since last week.
Does anyone else have the same issue?

Quite an odd question in the GW4 section.

So I just got an update on my Gear S2, SM-R720. I believe this is the one that brings features from the S3?

I'm assuming your Gear S2 is BT/wifi, not 3G/4G? Has anyone in the US on 3G/4G gotten the update on T-Mobile? Thanks.

Not for me yet.
Just a heads up. My battery life tanked after the update regardless of what I did. What fixed it was recharging a couple times. For some reason that worked.

No, it's really crazy that the $300 version of the Gear S2 still does not have automatic sleep tracking. I wish I could just flash it to the generic Samsung 3g firmware and be done with T-Mobile, but it doesn't seem to be a possibility (I started a thread here, but no responses so far: http://forum.xda-developers.com/gear-s2/general/gear-s2-3g-t-mobile-version-flash-to-t3518844 ).
I'd also complain to T-Mobile directly, maybe if enough of us complain, they'll do something about it.

Hi rogerperk,
I have same Gear S2 732 in same firmware as you (in France), and for me too, battery drain is present
Sure, not as much as you, but now, I've got a "low battery alert 15%" at 23h00 when, before, I get to bed at 00h30 with 35-40% battery left ! For sure, there is something that change (same watchface as before) !
Sadly, 2 charging (and even more than 10 actually) dont change anything for me
Best regards
Not good. I recharged mine a couple times and did a factory reset and that seemed to do it. I'm actually getting far better battery life now. Over 24 hours and I'm only at 77%! I hope that keeps up! I cut out alot of stuff I don't use like NFC and constant wifi and heartrate checks. That sort of stuff.

Merry Chrismas everyone :highfive: !
Thanks for asking : finally, it seems that, little by little, I get back to normal battery life. I can't figure why, but it's a fact.

sorry, I misunderstood, I have the 3G classic. Model R735T. No need to swear!
At least T Mobile has released the update. Verizon never released the first value pack update nor have they released the newest update. Anyone know what is wrong with Big Red?

It seems you could clear ram through your phone. You might need to delete some stuff to free up enough memory
anyone have the file to share so i can Odin it? every time I try the update fails
Hi
I had a Gear S3 last year and got rid of it due to the excessive battery drain introduced with Tizen.
I've read that an update has now fixed this issue.
Can anyone confirm it has actually fixed it?
Thanks

Same here. I didn't have problems after the first update and I didn't have problems after the "fix" they sent out.

Me neither, thank goodness...no issues before 3.0 or after but obviously there should be another update as so many folks are indicating they have major battery drain after Tizen update, I am really disappointed in Samsung for not announcing that they are aware of the issues And are working on it?? Curious why some don't have any issues and others do?

I just posted today how I fixed the battery drain issue in this same section for anyone interested: https://forum.xda-developers.com/gear-s3/help/3-0-issues-t3746851
I just returned it, awaiting my refund from Samsung. Better to send it in for warranty and get the money back then to deal with this issue.
Just an FYI Huawei Health and Huawei Wear haven't been updated to work with the first developer preview of Android P. Both apps keep crashing. If anything changes I'll advise here.
I have been struggling with the same issue, is there any other application that can sync the data from watch to phone, like sleeping analysis ?
That's a bummer, I don't plan to run the DP until Google I/O so hopefully huawei addresses this fast. Hope you sent a bug report ?

Nope. No huawei health data can sync without the phone apps. You'd be better off using google fit for steps, and sleep as android for sleep.

Typically when an app crashes it will have a little pop-up to send feedback. I almost always just hit cancel, it's become second nature. Other than that I'm not sure how else to send a bug report to them...maybe on the huawei health play store page?

Thanks! I always thought that went to Google but makes sense it would go to the developers. I have done this now. I really don't expect much movement on this for a while. Considering rolling back to Oreo.

Just be careful rolling back, think I read somewhere that you can't recert to a previous version anymore with pixels. I think it's because of security reasons, so they only allow you to update....I could very well be wrong, but check it out before flashing anything

Thanks Gators. I found a good article about downgrading. But I decided to stay with Android P for now. I have survived without Huawei Fit and Huawei Wear. Google Fit seems to be holding up alright
Good news. Today Huawei health was updated and no longer crashes.
However Huawei wear has not been updated yet and seems to get less updates. Last one was February. Hopefully they do an update soon.

Correct. Only half of the problem is fixed. So now we are just waiting on the other half.
After Unlocking and re locking the bootloader, Android Pay will stil work?

The main Huawei phone app doesn't work for me on DP2. It doesn't crash like before but it does crash as soon as you try and pair the app on the phone with the watch.
Just try to connect to Huawei health app. It works for me!

Health data from the watch doesn't sync with the phone if the Huawei Wear app isn't installed on the watch unfortunately.
I wonder why it takes them so long to fix it.
Guys finally it works with Huawei health beta app!! You can add the watch from the health app, no need for Huawei wear app anymore.
EDIT: just search for "Huawei Health 8.0.2.317-wearBeta.apk" you should be able to download the apk and install it normally
Link?
Nevermind... https://download.dlapk.org/?apkid=com.huawei.health&ver=8.0.2.317-wearBeta&server=dennyssantos

I doubt the plugin has anything to do with battery life on the watch..

That's the problem that I'm in now...It's like going in a straight line in a round-a-bout! Watch forum says to check in S21 forums, there they say to check here! It's akin to a dog chasing its own tail!
Anyways, I uninstalled the app and deleted the watch profile from the phone leading to factory resetting the watch..now all's hunky-dory.
If the latest version of Samsung Health is installed on the mobile phone, the health data cable of the watch cannot be synchronized. Only the version 6.21.2.007 in March can be installed to synchronize normally. The Samsung Health on the mobile phone has been updated several times, but this problem has not been solved.
No issues here... all apps up to date. You may want to (re-)check the permissions on GW4- and your phone - Apps.

I found in Chinese forums that many people have this problem. At the same time, there is also the problem of measuring body fat rate. When it detects 90%, it will prompt failure.

Seems correct behaviour to me: 90% body fat rate is only realistic for a slice of bacon...
