Try clearing the system cache and a hard reboot.
Is it in a good case?
May have dislodged a connector or damaged an assembly.

no and no
Have you disabled any apps?
I had a similar issue and it was a Samsung process I had blocked in Package Disabler Pro. Unblocked it and the camera app works perfectly now.
Check any apps that have been disabled

First of all, this isn't my phone. It's my sister's. Anyway, when she downloads an app from Market, it starts the download and shows up in the notification bar, and then like 3 seconds later, it just disappears. It shows up in "My Apps" but it's not downloaded...like it's in the list, but it still asks to download it. The phone is not rooted. I can't seem to figure out what to do...Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
Greg
I've had this happen to me before. In fact happened just last night. Turned out last night my wifi was on the fritz. I turned it off in my phone and turned it back on and it worked just fine. Other times I've had to put it into airplane mode, then turn the wifi back on to get it to download.
If those don't work you could try turning off wifi and forcing it to download OTA. I think I had to do that one time. Hope that helps some.
how would you download apps OTA? I know you can get OTA updates, but idk how you would download apps OTA?
Just use your 3G is what I meant.
oh okay.
EDIT: She says she's turned WiFi off and on before and it still doesn't work. And she can't download apps on 3G either...
OK goto Settings > Applications > Manage Applications, Then click the All button and scroll down till you find Market, select it then Clear Data. There might be something hung up in there causing issues.
This happens to me occasionally. The app Lookout causes it a lot for me. After I uninstalled that app ut still did it. What works for me is to clear the cache and data for the market.
Settings
Applications
Manage applications
Select "all" tab
Locate "market"
Click on it, then click force stop, clear data and clear cache
Restarting the market will take longer than usual, but this always fixes my problem.

Already tried it. Didn't work...
I've posted this over at AndroidForums too, so I got a few potential solutions that didn't work. I tried looking up the problem a couple days ago, and that's what came up (your idea.) It didn't work though...
Well the only things I can think of would be if you're rooted and have CWM is to reboot into recovery and wipe cache partition (not factory reset) and wipe dalvik cache. Not sure if those will do anything for you, but it won't hurt anything to try.
The other thing is to do a factory reset. Of course you'd need to back everything up all your apps and data and copy it off the phone.
Those are the only things I can think of other then waiting and seeing if anybody else has any better ideas.
It's not rooted though, so you can't really backup...
i had it happen to me, and all i did was reboot. fixed!
Well this started happening last night, but whenever I try to install anything, I get the insufficient storage warning. I've rebooted many times lol. 20gb free on phone. 28 free on sd card
Try running Smartclean
Nope. Also tried clean master. I have so much free space it's insane. I've used 8gb of 54 available. I've uninstalled all apps but ones I absolutely need. Guess my next step is to uproot and go back to factory stock?
When I switched sd cards, Google music gave me a warning it couldn't download music. I was stumped. Went into settings and noticed my old sd card was checked, I had changed it out and selected the new one. Did you swap sd cards?

I have been getting this error today and I have tried clearing app caches and data of Play Store & Services but it didn't work. There is tons (23GB) of free space in the data folder and I have used autostarts to enable every app in every event as I had been messing around with this today (since I got the same error on my SGS once and some totally random unconnected app that I had disabled an event for that caused this) all to no avail.
I am going to just do a wipe and start again as I have tried everything I can think of..
You have to download sdcard fix for kit Kat from the play store and run it. You have to use that app if you have done a factory reset, flashed a rom, switched sdcards, etc. This will fix the problem.
Anyone have a Confirmed fix?

This is incorrect. I had SDFix already installed and set and the message came up. Actually, I reset my phone today for no reason as now on 2 apps it says have updates it is coming with the same message again! Though last time there were more apps needing updates so I am a little further along lol

It worked for me on my Note 3 after I had done a factory reset. It's not the same phone but I figured it would fix the problem.
Ah then u were lucky.
As you can see there is not really a lack of storage in the places where there usually would indicate a problem, usually the data or datadata folders depending on ROM used.
View attachment 2922093
I have tried:
Clearing app caches
LG Smartclean
Lucky Patcher - removing ODEX files
For updating Apps: removing the App's folder in data/app-lib
Clearing Play Store/Google Play Services cache/data then uninstalling all updates
This to delete any bad packages
Moving most apps to the SD card
With no success. It's not just the updates that won't install but new apps too.
*Apparently on Samsung phones you can try *#9900# then 'Delete Dumpstate/logcat'

No worries. It was expected on my lowly I9000 with only about 300MB for apps in the datadata folder but I just got my super modern G3 with 32GB storage/3GB RAM about a few weeks ago so I expected it would deal with anything thrown at it and I never expected it to have this same problem especially on the stock ROM! Actually I think I had more apps installed on the I9000 and it never came up with this error lol
I think after trying everything I could find online that I am going to flash the stock from from LG Flash instead of resetting as I have done and see if that fixes it..
**UPDATE: Well I thought I would deactivate all Xposed Framework modules...then I was able to install/update as normal! I re-enabled but this time I left XPackage Installer deactivated and it's all working! Perhaps if you have Xposed and Xpackage Installer activated to try this..and to think I spent the whole day resetting, reinstalling and reconfiguring....my initial suspicions were right on it just being some random thing :silly:LOL
This one worked for me
LG G3 5.0 rooted and it worked
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.vinny.intsdfixer
FYI this method worked for me for everything except Google Play Services. Thanks to D0MINO I just deactivated my Xposed modules - rebooted - updated Play Services - reactivated - reboot - profit. Thanks!! (been annoying me for days)
My S8+ started opening automatically every app I install or update from play store. It's really annoying.. I thought I can fix it with a factory reset, but it didn't help.
What I tried:
- Full factory reset
- Wipe cache partition
- Disable then re-enable play store
- Clearing all data in app settings
What else can I do?
Here's a quick video of the problem right after the factory reset:
I can't see well enough, but I think you phone is updating. What happens after they all update? Does that solve the issue?
For me, it will do the same unless I can get to Play Store, Settings, and turn off "Auto Updates", and sometimes, still then, individually go to the active update list and individually cancel each app before, or as it's updating. It's a PITA

It's not normal at all. I'm using this phone since july and never did this before. Yea after the initial setup finished and all apps were updated, the problem still persist. When I connect to WiFi and my apps starting updating, each one opens. Basically, I'm unable to use my phone when the apps are updating.
I had to turn off auto-updating and now I have to start manually updating my apps...
There are many old threads about this bug, besides wipeing cache noone said anything useful to fix the issue.
Yeah, I have not heard of it, but also have not experienced it. If it is annoying enough, and no more simple solution, I'd return to an earlier backup san the issue, or no backup, do a full wipe and fresh install. Something is definitely corrupted, near as I can tell.
Well, luckily the Oreo update fixed the issue.
Hi Feribox, did you do anything different before the Oreo update? Coz, I'm on it right now and this exact thing is happening.
What's even weirder is it seems the apps never close, I have some apps that suddenly just up and play an ad (these are apps that I did install though) so I don't think it's malware.
Hi, I have a nokia 6 TA-1025 (first version) with android 8.1 and almost always it is so slow, so laggy, many often when wifi is enabled or when wifi loses signal or when bluetooth is active, when I want to make a call, the phone app takes too long starting or opening an app takes too long too (whatsapp), I have not so much apps, I have "lite versions" of the apps (facebook, fb messenger, skype) some other bank apps. The camera app also takes too long opening (any app that uses the camera takes too long opening it), I have a lot of free space, no sd card, only one sim, and so on... as I said, it is too slow almost always (most when it is charging). I had a moto g4plus and I had never issues with it.
Whan can you suggest me? a factory reset? buy a new phone
Thanks
Are you sure that that phone is legit?
Mine is pretty responsive all the time. Also, my battery lasts pretty long, sometimes 2 days but mostly 1,5.
I suggest you to look into the battery settings and check out the background blacklist. I have observed that sometimes some apps are removing themselves from that list.
Android shows which apps are draining the battery in the accu settings too, so be sure to check that out and maybe remove misbehaving apps.
Edit:
If you upgraded to Oreo without wiping data, this COULD be the reason too. In this case, you should backup your data and wipe cache + do a factory reset. Although I cannot tell for sure that is is the reason.
You can also try wiping the cache from recovery without doing a factory reset. This will not erase any userdata.

I updated to 8 without wiping, I will try the cache wiping first, if it does not work, I will try the factory reset
I did a cache partition wipe and it looks like it solved the problem, I will keep testing, thanks

I'm afraid to brick it, do you have a good tutorial for rooting it?
No. My device TA-1021 is not slow, but when i talking in Skype call, the app becomes laggy.
My TA-1025 slows down most noticeably when it auto launches Android Auto on Bluetooth connection in stand-alone mode. Especially when switching to maps. The only way to make it more responsive is to clear all running apps before launching AA. It is quite frustrating.
Sent from my MI 8 using Tapatalk
I have the TA-1025 variant and it's not slow at all nor do I have connectivity issues. In fact, I'm rather impressed with this device, given it's price-point.
I have noticed that every time I install an android update, the system slows down, I have to wipe cache from bootloader and then it becomes fluid again.
I've got an issue that I also saw on my note 8 before I switched to the op 7, when I go to install or update apps from the Google play store it gets to 99 percent or 100 percent it hangs and doesn't finish the install. I've tried all the wipes and clearing data and cache. Any ideas? Thanks.
Updating in case some one else has this issue, seemed to work for me. I wiped the following:
Play services
Playstore
And this one I hadn't done before
Download manager.
I've never really looked into something like the dm but after all the wipes and force stops I rebooted the phone and it seems to be working now.
Hope this can help someone in the future.

Scratch that, worked installing 2 apps, back to the same.
I have the same problem. There are brief moments when everything just works, but they are rare and it's ultra annoying
So I had a VPN installed, and I deleted the app, and now it seems to be working fine. I didn't have it enabled when downloading the app, and I found it sometimes gives me issues on my pc with connecting at first to an internet connection, so I thought there might be some correlation. The VPN I use is express. I'll keep trying to install apps and see if it resolved the issues.

And you tried with New one? It works with New sim?
I haven't, need to take it in to have it copied, or do it myself. Never done it.
Another thing, never really took time to learn about sims, but if I pull the card in my phone, and just threw the new one that came with the phone will it work the same? With my number and everything?
I am also having this issue and even after a factory reset apps will not install. I tried removing my SIM card etc. Nothing seems to be working. The next thing I am going to try is installing the latest OTA update again manually via the downloaded zip from OnePlus's site.
Update: I tried installing the OTA manually, wiping all data, cache, etc and still the play store is not working correctly. I have never installed customer ROMs on this device or modified it in any way. Oxygen OS has been great so I never saw a reason to mess with it. In addition to that I have not even unlocked the bootloader.
Update 2: Some things are installing but it is exceptionally slow. I do not have any VPN apps or anything and this is a fresh wiped device. I cleared all system data, cache etc. Could it be a Google server side issue or something like that? Tying to side-load open source apps they install without issue instantly.
