Thanks for the reply. One question remaining. As I can see from the chip the PX5/6 has only GPS connection on it. Not the 3G and Bluetooth/WIFI. See my picture from the inside. Is it possible to add an USB WIFI. I have got the Comfast WU725B usb WIFI/BT dongle but not sure if the drivers are available in Android 9 or 10 with PX6.

New request. If I don't have bluetooth or WIFI in my headunit is it possible to connect my phone to USB port, and provide USB tethering via my phone so head unit can connect to internet?

[Completed] Trouble blue tooth connect with PayPal Here reader device

Hi,
Having trouble with connecting Bluetooth with a Generic Android Tab KitKat 4.4.2
I used the app 'GoNext Update' and it says the tablet cannot update further than the 4.4.2 !
Okay just spoke PayPal Here Support and they said that if it connects and works with 1 device then the prob is not with the Reader.
It works with Samsung Note 5 os 7.1 but not with the Galaxy S4 (Android 5.0.1) which says I can't update.
She did say as far as she knows it should work with the Android KitKat 4.4.2 ( an Android Tab I have) and the Samsung Galaxy S4 which I also have.
The PayPal Here software app works but it is I cannot connect Bluetooth to the PPH Reader or have it stay paired..
Maybe the PPH reader can only be paired with 1 device at a time? Whilst not not connected in the PPH software app, it still shows as paired in all devices.
I am not sure what the Generic Tablet is as it is does not have a name.
These are its specs.
Model # ba 1078
Processor Quadcore-A33
Android 4.4.2
Firmware V2 (no updates available)
Kernel 3..4.39 [email protected]#44
Fri Oct 16 14:20:42 CST 2015
Build astar_ba1078-eng 4.4.2 KVT49L 20151016
Any help please?
Thanks
oz
Looks like I have found the problem.
No thinking it was a problem. I left the PPH reader 'paired' in all devices as I tried them all.
I unpaired them all then paired just the one I need (Generic Tablet) and it worked.
Problem is it drops off after a few minutes. Maybe when one or both 'sleep'.
Can one alter this 'sleep' time or turn it off totally?
oz
Hi !
A good method to avoid any device to go to deep sleep and interrupt some processes , though the bluetooth sholdn`t do that , is to keep the screen on until it finishes the job , always on preferable
Try it out
Many thanks..

Android 8.0 head unit won't connect via. USB mobile broadband dongle

When I plug in my Huawei E3372h-153 (with compatible Three SIM card), the head unit shows 'No service' and an empty signal meter in the status bar.
When I plug it into my tablet, it works instantly.
The USB dongle is out in the open and in a signal-covered area so this is definitely an issue with the head unit somewhere.
This is the unit (Dicola CHS7047X).

Anyone have any ideas?
I use the app PPP Widget (3) for that. Install the app, place the widget (large enough, so stretch it if possible)
Then connect the dongle via usb and wait till something gets recognized. you may grant root access for the app on first click. Afterwards you can click onfiguration button and pu tthe needed information in there. If the connection works, you can enable the auto connect feature in the settings of the widget.
That is how i managed to get a 4g stick working just this morning

weird problems you mention in the thread there.
For me it acutally worked but after the reboot, it didn't. Need to figure out what is going on there. I'm pretty sure it has to do with the order of connecting the stick. Since it is already connected when booting up it does not get recognized correctly.
Good luck to you man!
... Late response, but maybe it will help others ...
I have a Huawei e3372h-153 dongle and a Dasaita PX5 4GB RAM and 32GB ROM with original ROM, and as mentioned in this thread, at first I was able to see the signal bar and that was all, no connection, no network type, nothing. I tried different apps in an effort to make the dongle work, like Activity Launcher or Android Hidden Settings, in order to access inaccessible/hidden network settings, but with no luck.
Finally I got the modem working by updating it with the firmware "2. E3372hUpdate_22.200.03.00.1134_M_HC_ADB_TLN_02" as mentioned here.
I updated the modem with that file only, and not with the rest of the files, as it was mentioned in the video, because the video is referring to e3372h-607, and I have the e3372h-153 version.
To resume, I have the original Dasaita firmware, updated to the latest version (currently Blue UI HA_px5_8.0_ota(20190428)), with the latest MCU (V3.10), working with e3372h by just updating my original modem firmware. Dasaita original firmware updates and MCU updates can be found here . Use them only for Dasaita, compatible devices.
The Head Unit will see the modem as an usb network device, so you will not have info in the status bar related to signal strength or network type, but otherwise it will work flawlessly.
Unfortunately I don't know what was the previous firmware installed on the device, because I tried a bunch of them, but most probably I had "E3372h-153_Update_22.323.01.00.00_M_AT_05.10".
My Web UI version before the "working" update and also the current one is 17.100.18.03.143-Mod1.21 . By default it will be installed in Russian but it could be changed to English easily. Keep in mind that material design is quite buggy, so I would not suggest you to use it.

Dasaita PX6 - zLink Apple CarPlay not working, Wired or Wireless.

Hello everyone,
First of all it is so cool to stumble across this section of XDA with all of the community helping each other with Android Head units. It was so cool to see recommendations, suggestions, help, software updates, Custom ROMs, etc. so Thanks for all the cool post to read.
Now getting into my problem...
I purchased a Dasaita 10.2" Android 10.0 with the main intentions of using the CarPlay feature (Note: I am willing to use Wired CarPlay). Additionally would love the added features the unit provides for its price point.
However after receiving the unit and installing it, I can not get Apple CarPlay to work with a constant connection every time the vehicle is turned on. It takes a whole lot of tinkering to get it to connect; such as connecting bluetooth, headunit hotspot, headunit wifi, connecting with wire. Then once it is eventually connected CarPlay will work fine for the duration of the usage and any warm boots (turning the car off for a few seconds and turning it back on). It is so frustrating to get it connected because it is not straight forward or simple in any means. What is worse is that after the car is off for a good amount of time and I turn it back on, all is lost. zLink keeps trying to connect and bluetooth is definitely connected but it just won't connect. I have to tinker with it again, such as forgetting the device and forgetting CarPlay, trying to connect to bluetooth again and try to connect via wire, etc. Then eventually it might connect. There is just no specific instruction path to get it connected, just requires a bunch of different ways of tinkering to eventually it might connecting.
It has just been a pain to try and get CarPlay working, that was the biggest selling point for me to get this unit. If I can't get it working soon, it will be taken off the vehicle and returned.
Posting this here for help or possible leads to where to find help.

P.S.: I made a small post about this issue in the Dasaita update topic and I was provided with update files. Link to the post and fellow comments.
P.S. 2: Android Auto works flawlessly, connect the USB and that is it Android Auto is working.
Got it working!!!! ?
The issue was that my phone was on iOS 14 Beta. I downgraded to a stable iOS version and it is working fine every time I turn the car back on and any warm boots. It just works now no problems.
The other devices I tested on where also on a stable iOS version not sure why they did not work?? Maybe I just did not test it enough, good thing I slept on it and recollected the next day.
Can you use Car Play wireless?

Yes, CarPlay wireless works.
Due note I am now on iOS 13.5.1
Not sure if anybody here can help but I recently purchased a Dasaita PX30 it is running Android 10 but there is no ZLink installed. I am pretty sure this unit has wireless CarPlay compatibility: when I go to car factory settings under CarPlay it is selected to ZLink but again the ZLink app is nowhere to be found. I tried downloading the ZLink apk v3.5.56 and installing using external USB but it just comes up to ‘not installed’. Please help! Thanks

Anyone else have this same issue?

Hi all,
I just installed the PX6 and everything works except Carplay. I have done everything that Dasiata on Amazon has instructed me to do. I can't get wired or wireless to connect. The main reason why I purchase this unit was for Carplay as well. I am on IOS 14.1. Any ideas?

*UPDATE*
Dasaita told me to update to MCU 3.65 and sent me the link. Now Carplay will work wirelessly, but will still not work wired. I realized that the way they have wireless Carplay setup to work sucks. I have to connect to the HU hotspot and Bluetooth to connect. Well, that keeps my phone from using cell data. Totally defeats the purpose. Does everyone have to connect that way?

So here we go. I have the solution that will allow you to connect to the Dasaita Hotspot and allow your phone to use mobile data. Finally, it works as it supposed to. This solution is for the PX6 with Android 10, MCU 3.65, and zlink.
1. Connect your iPhone to the Bluetooth
2. Connect your iPhone to the Wi-Fi Hotspot on the head unit.
3. Go to settings on the iPhone, then Carplay sections, and be sure that it connects to the head unit. Mine was called CAR-LINK, once connecting it changes to something like zjinnova-D310C
4. Go to SETTINGS and select Wi-Fi then select the blue INFO icon to the right of the name of your head unit hotspot connection.
5. Make note of both the IP address and the Subnet Mask address
6. Select the STATIC option and enter only the IP and Subnet Mask addresses from Step 5 -- (Leave everything else blank)
Boom, everything works as it should. I will inform Dasiata. This should be the first thing they tell you to try.

I’ve got the same version of firmware and software and running iOS 14.2. I am stuck on the step where you go to CarPlay -> General and connect to the head unit and the circle never stops spinning.
Does anyone know whether there is a fix in the works to make wired Apple CarPlay just work or if there is a more stable version I can try and roll my unit back to? This is quite annoying.

I’m having the same issue as you, have you been able to fix it ???
Mine is flames as well. Sometimes it connects fine. Sometimes not at all, but phone says it is connected to the car via BT.
I did get it to connect today but I need to test more. While it was stuck on Zlink saying connecting, I placed a call (to my voicemail) and zlink connected. Could be unrelated. More testing needed.
Would love to update this to android 10 or a newer official version of zlink.
Anyone else have luck getting wireless Carplay to work consistently? Initially, it did for me on my Idoing PX6 head unit (similar software and hardware to the Dasaita), but I feel like I did something to cause it to stop working. Now, when I power on my radio, my phone connects quickly to the bluetooth and to the AP (wifi hotspot), but ZLink never opens automatically like it should. When I open ZLink manually, it just sits at "connecting". If I disconnect bluetooth on my iPhone and reconnect it twice, then ZLink will sometimes decide to work and do its thing.
I will try the static IP idea. I noticed it was on "low data" mode for the AP, so I disabled that.
I updated firmware to MCU 3.69 and the system update is from 12/15/2020 I think. That didn't help.
I also have a Carlinkit USB adapter, not plugged in, that uses an app called Autokit. I was trying to use that a few days ago and it would eventually work, but takes like 45 seconds to finally connect.
I have tried forgetting my home wifi on my iPhone so it doesn't have to disconnect from it, but that didn't help. The connections all seem to work perfectly and it's just ZLink failing, but it's hard to say.
Hey man How’d You get apple CarPlay to work ? Mine hasn’t worked for 3 months

Wireless Carplay? The static IP stuff didn't help. The only thing that seems to work is toggling bluetooth connection on my iPhone with the radio after manually opening Zlink on the radio. It still doesn't always work then.
No matter what, the phone connects to both the BT and Hotspot of the radio every time, it just doesn't continue on to Carplay and Zlink doesn't auto-launch or connect after manually launching.
I've used my car a few times after leaving my Oneplus 6T in it, like a permanent connected phone, and it works. Sometimes I have to launch Zlink manually, but other times it has worked for Android Auto without me having to do anything. So far, this is the most convenient solution. I also paid for T-Mobile One Plus to get 20GB of full speed hotspot each month so I can mess around with native Android apps and stuff. Still not sure what I'm going to settle on doing long-term. I just got iOS 14.3 installed on the iPhone so I might go try again.

RJ45 USB Ethernet adapter issue

Hi,
I want to use a wired Ethernet link with my Mi Note 10 to access to my home lan.
I bought this apparently compatible adapter model UGREEN:
"ww.ugreen.com/collections/usb-ethernet-adapter/products/usb-c-to-gigabit-rj45-ethernet-adapter"
It not works.
My phone:
Model : Mi note 10 pro
MIUI Ver. : MIUI Global 11.1.1 Stable 11.1.1.0(QFDEUXM)
Android Ver. : 10 QKQ1.190825.002
Symptoms:
After disabling Wifi and mobile data and connecting my adapter to an operational network link, no ethernet access. The adapter leds stay on steady (so no traffic). No IP address assigned by my DHCP router so not seen from the network.
Tests :
The adapter works well on Windows 10.
I tested several otherwise functional trunks and even two different DHCP routers.
The “USB OTG Checker” android application detects the adapter.
I obviously activate / deactivate various parameters, restart, activate debugging mode: nothing helps.
It looks like the Android "Wired Ethernet" service is disabled.
Questions to the community:
Does the mi note 10 pro support this feature? (I read somewhere that Xiaomi has now disabled this option. Is that true?)
Is there an Android 10 MIUI 11 security to disable or a setting to change?
Does anyone have this same problem with this model of phone? Does this work somewhere with another adapter?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Regards
