why does my screen auto-rotate and it happens in an instant,
even if the screen rotation setting is turned off or on, and even the position of my smartphone is fixed.

Hello,
Last week my Samsung Galaxy S Plus fell on the ground from about 1,5 m and the result was that on the screen some cracks appeared, and it didn't work. When I tried to switch the phone on I could hear the welcome ringtone, the sensor buttons worked, and even the shortcut for screenshot (home key + back sensor button) also worked, but the screen was blank.
So I bought a brand new screen and replaced the broken one, but the result was the same - the phone switches on, but the screen is blank.
Do you have any ideas where the problem could be?
Thsnks.
Hi all,
I just got a 2018 Galaxy A7 this week.
I can't get the Always On Screen to function correctly.
When the proximity sensor at the top of the screen is covered, the screen will fade all the way down, but not shut off completely.
If I leave the phone face down on a table, I can see the screen dimly reflected off the surface if I turn the lights off.
From the manual: "If the sensor at the top of the device is covered for a certain period, the Always On Display will turn off". So it should turn off if face down, in a pocket, etc?
I tried setting "Block Accidental Touches" but this makes no difference. Same for a factory reset in case something I installed was holding the screen on.
Am I missing a required setting?
With thanks
Also: I checked with the built-in tests (dial *#0*#). The proximity and light sensors seem to work ok, so this appears to be a software or setting issue? Or a mistake in the manual?
I confirm that the aod will automatically turn off if I put my phone into my pocket. But I afraid of the burn out of my display. The aod seem to stay the same position in a very long period and there is no option to set up the period for the movement of the aod. Maybe I will turn this funtion off.
Thanks for checking. I'll contact Samsung about this.
I don't know if you need to worry about burn in, the clock and other information seems to move around often enough. Even the home button moves slightly to avoid issues. They've used these screens with these anti-burn in measures for a while and there hasn't been a large number of complaints.
Yeah, A7 has this function and I worry about the burn in of its screen but it do not have LED notification and because of that I must use aod. But the A6, my wife's phone, do not have aod and LED notification. Why Samsung did not support LED indicator for A series? It so annoying.
So I have the Accidental Touch Protection enabled in settings to avoid issues while phone is in pocket. But while in bed at night and TV is off, this notification pops in the middle of the phone when I turn it on. Never had this problem on the s10 plus which I still have. Wondering if this is software or another setting can fix this
I have galaxy watch 4 classic.
I adjust screen time out for 30 second or higher but it turn off immediately when it turn on. Could anybody help please?
is a bug but samsung is doing nothing
it doesn't work with wrist movement but when you wake it up by touching the screen it works
Something similar here. When I receive a notification, if I raise my hand to see it sometimes (2 out of 10) the screen turns off before I can even see the notification. I have read this is how Samsung designed it in order to save battery (if you move your arm when the screen is on it turns off) but in case of a notification it should give at least 4-5 seconds before turning off. Is there any way to sove it? Maybe disabling motion sensors or whatever? Ahy idea?
Thank you for your help
Hello everyone there, I've bought a used OnePlus 7 pro a few days ago. But I'm having an issue with it.
Whenever I turn brightness to full, screen starts becoming small and big and small and big. I've tried turning adaptive brightness on and off, removing the screen protector, and rebooting into safe mode but nothing works.
I wanna know if the problem is with software or my phone's screen is damaged?
Here is the video.
Try to reset your device and check , maybe it will work
Have you found a solution? I have the same problem only worse the screen colors are pixeled and brightens and shuts off on its own. I turned off 90hz same problem ,phone is unusable.
I see that "cast to xxx" is enabled...your phone screen could be changing resolution/aspect ratio to match what it is trying to "cast" to...try turning that off...worth a shot.
