Any rom that preserves Android 11 power menu? - OnePlus 7 Pro ROMs, Kernels, Recoveries, & Other D

Hi,
I was wondering if there was any Android 12 ROM that has the option to use the old power menu (home controls, wallet etc.) I know about the app to bring the old menu back on Android 12 but it's a bit clanky in my opinion.
Thanks in advance!

Place holder

I think you could try this it has a bit of hesitation but it works on any rom... Not a app but magisk module. Idk know how to cut down the delay time but it works pretty fast.

Roms or Kernals with D2W and/or Multi-Window

Are there any roms that have multi-window or double tap to wake built in? I've tried a few apps from the market for both of these but have not found a good option for either. The power button is a pain in the rear to use, i've taken to pulling the pen out, which really isn't that much easier. I'd love to run Android M on the system, but it does not look like anyone has worked to port that to the shield.

The Quest for the Ultimate Experience (Solutions to Some Pixel Problems)

My 1st smartphone was a Palm Pre Plus (webOS), I got an Android next but Went back to WebOS with an HP Veer. ... Really liked how they implemented gestures properly a DECADE before anyone else. Was using Moto phones for nearly 8 years, really loved the Active Display & Moto Actions (camera flip & chop chop flashlight).
With my Moto Z2 Force dying and Moto basically making garbage or something ridiculously overpriced *cough*RAZR*cough* ... had to look elsewhere.
Got a Pixel 5 a few days ago. I hadn't experienced Android 9 or 10, so 11 is a bit step up from Oreo.
Always on display is pretty cool, not as good as Active Display, but better than the old Ambient Display.
Double tap power button to launch camera will work, although not as cool as flipping (I know 3rd party apps exist to mimic gestures, but I'm trying to keep phone as clean as possible for endurance)
Fluid Navigation Gestures can mimic proper Navigation - I'm sorry but the built in Pixel Navigation needs a lot of work. The Swipe up and hold for recent apps is very frustrating to use.
(Here is a solution to removing the 3 button Nav bar on Android 11 with terminal: https://www.reddit.com/r/Android/comments/irs1eb/hiding_the_3_dot_navigation_bar_on_android_11_root/)
(For reference, I disabled the left swipe bar. Kept the right swipe as a back button [the one idea I like of Google's], Right Swipe bottom edge -> Recent apps; Left Swipe bottom edge -> Back; Swipe up bottom edge -> Home [Just as it was on WebOS and Moto One Touch Nav]
Various Apps allow for "chop chop" for flashlight. Still testing which one is the best solution.
And Many thanks to @Tulsadiver For his work on the ancient 3Minit app to work with Pixel 5 /4a etc. https://forum.xda-developers.com/pixel-5/themes/3minit-battery-3minit-clock-t4177835 He also has a flashable Magisk module to remove Nav bar https://forum.xda-developers.com/pixel-5/themes/clock-mods-remove-navbar-mod-t4177829
With those mods, Battery can be changed to similar to Gravitybox Ring battery style and clock can be moved to center or right (the left clock is very annoying).
Just sharing a few things I've come across many different places. Some of this really just writing here for myself for memory and sharing if it'll be helpful for anyone else.
Cheers!
I bought a cheap Moto G7 Power and realized how much I deeply missed some of Moto's little tweaks. Chop and twist are big ones that I miss constantly. Still trying to get an app that implements it half as well. I'd really, really love if we could get a ring battery indicator around the hole punch to reclaim lost space and move the clock. Another killer feature that the Moto had me convinced was just another part of Android was scrolling screenshots. Deeply disappointed when I went to use it on the Pixel with a newer OS and it was missing.
Why are you finding the swipe up hard to use?

Yeah I hear ya. The Active Display / Moto Display was great too. At least on the Moto X / X2, after that it wasnt as good but still better than what any other manufacturer has developed.
I've seen the app "energy ring" which does this, but the dev hasn't added support for Pixel 5 yet (it's been added for Pixel 4a, so I'm hoping support will come soon).
With Magisk and tweaks by Tulsadiver, the clock can be moved to the right, it looks much better.

The swipe up is fine, it's the swipe up + HOLD that bothers me. doesn't feel fluid or natural. One motion should control one action only.

Interesting, I'm finding it one movement , move up from bottom, then the hold is less than s second

If you swipe up from the bottom about ½cm you don't need to do the hold action. It automatically loads the recent apps screen for me. Any higher and it'll take you back to the home screen without holding.
I just use Button Mapper to turn my volume button into a flashlight toggle when the screen is off. Much faster and works more often than the chop gesture. You can customize other stuff too wtih it. A nice all-in-one app.

S7 (SM-G930F) (Exynos) Pixel Experience ROM, with Hardware Button Support

Hello,
I have tested multiple Custom ROM's and I feel like the Pixel Experience ROM is the best Performing + Looking and Battery Life extending one.
But there is one Problem: The Hardware Navigation Keys aren't supported. (Home, Back, Recent Apps)
I would like to know if there is any modified Pixel Experience ROM, which has the Navigation Keys supported.
I imagine it can't be that difficult if the Fingerprint Sensor (inside the Home Button) is already supported.
I've searched about 2 hours and didn't find any useful information.
Thanks in Advance.

AFAIK you have to flash another custom rom with physical navigation button support. I guess it has something to do with the Android version on which the rom is based on, as Google has changed navigation in its OS.

It's here Android 11

Finally! I'm downloading as well, T-Mobile
Got mine to...
Downloading it now.
Honestly the most disappointing os upgrade ive ever seen. Reminds me why i dont use an lg as a daily driver any more.
If nothing else, the new Android 11 upgrade does enable Stand-Alone 5G (per the T-Mobile website). That, in itself, is probably worth the upgrade!

Unfortunately, w/the V60, 5G SA was not enabled in the software on Android 10 - even with the R15 SIM. Glad I'm now able to share the true 5G experience you've been enjoying!

Hmm, i had even confirmed it with several signal apps that it was SA, and even had SA speeds. I moved on to oneplus now and just use my v60 for media casting.

No upgrade here in Europe for Sim free.
It is available for AT&T as well. I had to manually check for updates, then it started downloading. It didn't tell me how large the update was or any changes, so I had no idea if it was the Android 11 update or a security update until it finished the update.
I've ran the update and can confirm it is Android 11.
A few things I've immediately noticed based off of MY experiences on Android 10,
The performance was laggy on first boot (expected after a software upgrade), but has since smoothed out and seems overall faster than Android 10, but that could just be due to the improved gesture navigation; more on that below.
The gesture navigation controls are much more reliable, animations are smoother, and functionality less glitchy.
This improvement is very noticeable when quick switching apps by swiping left/right on the gesture bar:
Sometimes it would skip 2 apps back and jump forward to the correct (previous) app
Animate to the previous app but snap back to the current app
Simply not register the gesture at all
I haven't experienced any of these again yet.
The recent apps screen scrolls MUCH smoother as well.
Speaking of gesture controls, it now "floats" above the rest of the apps similar to iOS instead of having it's own dedicated nav bar and the gesture "pill" itself (not really a pill on this phone lol) is slightly bigger. You can see the difference in my first 2 screenshots
EDIT: The gesture pill still has it's own bar at the bottom, but it appears that its background is able to color match with the opened app (similar to the notification bar) which makes it look like it's sitting on top of the opened app.
The notification shade has a UI update. Looks better IMO.
If you use the stock LG launcher, the swipe down search tool loads faster, but there's still a noticeable delay before you can type anything
You can also change the "accent" color. My accent color is blue in my first screenshot, but it changed to green after the 11 update. You can change the color in the settings.
Taking screenshots is instant. No more holding down the key combo for a second.
There's emoji updates
There is a minor update to the blank contact image (see previous screenshot).
I saw some changelogs online that mentioned some camera app UI updates...it doesn't look any different to me??
And of course the FB Messenger style chat bubbles are now supported for other apps including the stock LG Messaging app.
Andoird 11 update has been horrible. Battery that prior to update lasted all day, now lasts 5-6 hours, phone runs hot, and WiFi AND 5G symbols are BOTH always on.
This might be the end of the line for me with LG.
Any news about the Canadian version?
I'm on AT&T and updated to Android 11 earlier this week. It resulted in a black screen soft-brick. I could still see the touches (from dev mode) where fingers tapped the screen. And if I held down the Power button, I'd see the typical Power Down / Restart / Etc. options, and tapping on them would generate the appropriate responses. But in all other instances, it was just a black screen. I figured my HEAVY de-bloating of Android 10 when I first got the phone caused something to break.
So I went ahead and did a full factory restore using recovery/safe mode and set it up as a new phone, and haven't had any serious issues since. I went ahead and got almost everything (minus Fluid Navigation Gestures, RIP) working the way I wanted, and embarked on another HEAVY de-bloating process. Seems like I took things too far, because, upon my next reboot, I was in the exact same black screen soft-brick state I mentioned above.
Another factory reset. Another session of restoring my apps, launcher, settings, and customizations. This time, I just used Package Disabler Pro for LG from the Google Play Store to perform some more restrained bloatware disabling, and everything's been pretty great. For Android 10 and the first attempt at de-bloating Android 11, I was using ADB commands to "uninstall" dozens upon dozens of system apps. Battery life is not quite as good as it was with my heavily de-bloated Android 10 environment, but I didn't expect it to be, and I'm not going to risk messing this all up again.
My only complaint is that stock AOD (and Sidelight Notifications) don't seem to be working properly, no matter how I configure them in Settings. I'm not sure what's causing the issue, but I actually developed this problem just a few days BEFORE the AT&T OTA landed, and it's persisted through a full Android point upgrade and two factory resets, so I imagine there's a conflict somewhere. Maybe with Fluid Simulation - Trippy Stress Reliever (my live wallpaper app of choice), Energy Bar, or Nova Launcher. I haven't been able to pinpoint it yet, but since it predates the Android 11 OTA by a few days, there must be another cause.
I do miss Fluid Navigation Gestures, but I'm happy to report that the new Android 11 gestures are way better than Android 10's. Not quite as customized as I had FNG, but I've adapted. Until/unless someone figures out how to hide the navigation bar without root, LG's gestures it is, I guess.
First thing I noticed was that I can now set a minimum brightness from the navigation bar .... This is a huge improvement as before the brightness would go to zero in a dark room... Now I can choose how low I want it to go and still automatically increase when needed ..
Finally SIM free in Europe got the Android 11 update.

There is a thread on reddit saying that this is the result of fingerprint locking. Try with pin unlock instead and see if battery life improves.

[Android 12] - App or Magisk module to let me use any gesture to toggle flashlight on/off?

Hello all,
On rooted Android 11, I was using this magisk module which let me squeeze to toggle on/off the torchlight.
Unfortunately, it hasn't been updated yet and probably won't be for Android 12, so I'm asking you if you have any alternative?
I'm not restricted to any kind of gesture, can be anything like squeeze, short/long/multiple power button press(es) or volume up/down, etc...
Thank you in advance
im also looking for it, did u find it? ive noticed some custom roms have this feature inbuilt, but not the one im on (Descendant OS) this feature is sooo usefull and easy and just nice i dont understand why its not a default feature yet
