Hello!
New phone, updated to RMX3370_11.A.05, but on "Settings → Software Update → Tapping on the settings icon in the top right corner the Trial Version option is not present...
No way to try?

Developer options

For those curious or coming from non Samsung devices, you can enable developer options by going to settings> about phone> and tap build number. You will see a toast message appear telling you to keep tapping. Follow instructions and enjoy.

Here is what ive found:
On Android™ version 4.2 and higher, the Developer options screen is hidden by default. To unhide the Developer options, press Menu Menu key > Settings Settings Shortcut > More Settings More Tab Icon > About Device Settings About Icon. Scroll down to Build number and touch it seven (7) times. The menu option will then appear under Settings Settings Shortcut > More Settings More Tab Icon > Developer options Settings Developer Icon.
Thanks.. I will try it later..

How do enable and activate "floating windows"

Hi guys, I Dont know how to activate "floating windows" on my device. I
downloaded EasyTouch(Holo Style) from play store and when I run the app
I got a pop up message "enable and activate display floating window". I've searched the device setting but I can't find/dont know how to activate the floating window. Can anyone tell me how to activate that thing? By the way I'm on android 6 (marshmallow) by fire588.
Thanks in advance.

I think you need to enable the " draw over other apps" under app permissions in settings

Thanks for the response. But I can't find " draw over other apps" under app permission under settings. All I can find under the app permission is toggle for camera, phone,location,storage etc. I found "multi window mode" in the developers option and I enabled it but that didn't solve my problem either. Tried googling, but got no solution. Some said that "display floating window" has been dropped by google in android 6 due to security reasons. Is that true?
Edit: Thanks. Solved my problems. Many thanks.
Settings - notifications - manage notifications - select desired app and turn on floating window
There is a multi-window option under developer settings. Just saying. I know it is not the same as floating windows.

already asked to honor support, there is no solution to disable them,
only oreo 8.1 has the option to disable them, otherwise they would have to add it...i doubt they will...
The only way is install the app: AutoNotification
->in the Notification Blocking menu,
->add a new voice with:
App: Android system
Filter Title: "displaying over other apps"
and remember to disable battery optimizations for AutoNotification

Thanks. Will try. On another note, Should i expect any future updates like security patches, or an 8.1 update for that matter, for honor 8? Just curious.

for what i know, i don't think they will update to 8.1, they would have already done so, avoiding the 8.0 version...
updates for this year 2018 surely, both bugfixes/improvements and security

actually, you can! it's just hidden between unaccessible menus.

I am having issues with my alarm after Oreo. It doesn't seem to activate while the phone is in deep sleep. Any fix for this? Already tried turning on the priority display in notification.

@ahadshah
Thank you for this hint!
I created an apk to open that hidden menu directly! :good::victory:
Anyone can now access it without installing nova launcher
OpenAppNotifications APK Download
This is the steps to disable notification "displaying over other Apps":
->Install and open: OpenAppNotifications
->Open upper options menu and select "Show system processes"
->Find and open "Android System"
->Turn OFF for each app "displaying over other Apps"
Screenshot of what it looks like when that happens? They aren't in a rush to get Oreo out in North America.
I have a problem after oreo update...while charging only 'charging' is pop up in lock screen instead of 'fast charging' & there is only one bolt symbol in battery icon instead of double bolt symbol...have u faced it?

SM-G9708 (China Mobile S10e): unknown symbol in notification area

Hi,
i own a SM-G9708 since a few days now. I believe it is the same as the SM-G9700, but just from China Mobile (also Snapdragon model).
In my notification area i see a symbol i haven't seen before (i used S7 before). It looks like a SMS-symbol, but has two arrows inside. Please see the attachment. Anyone knows what is the meaning?
it is there from the first start, before i installed any apps.
thanks.
