Hello everyone
I've spent the afternoon trying to get the touch screen to work on any version of Android on my Surface Pro 4.
I can get the OS installed, but none of the version I've installed allow me to use the touch screen.
Do the current versions of Bliss have native support/drivers built in?
Do I need to add something to the installation or download a specific version with Surface support?
Thanks

Hi, I have Teclast x98 air 3g dualboot 64gb c5j6 version - no modification (I don't think I use Mirek).
I am just wondering whether have you try to upgrade the windows 8.1 version to Windows 10?
If you do, do you encounter any issue or any compatibility issue? such as front/back camera, sound or display etc.
Also, are you able to use Windows 10 to make a phone call?
Lastly, please let us know how to update to Windows 10 and what is/are the requirements prior the update?
note: Apologise if this thread has been raised before but looking 1100 plus from the win 8.1 thread might slow down future user who would like to find it.
Also mislead us for searching Teclast X98 Air 3g Windows 10 inside Win 8.1 thread. I am still reading at the moment
you can share the instruction step by step in order to upgrade to Windows 10 in here. Preferred option
Please share your experience and thank you for sharing.
Update:
I've read some of the answers and questions from 8.1 thread.
It seems just update usually like your windows desktop. Using the Windows update service. Am I right? I haven't try it yet though.
Ensure you are installing Windows 10 32bit version.
Q: will my android partition stay intact? And what about the dualboot menu? (from the foxx #10803)
A: Your android partition and everything will stay intact
Possible issues:
*Auto rotate? - solution (from the foxx #10803): Auto rotate needs to be turned on in the settings. You can also easily enable/disable tablet mode. Tap the notification icon just to the left of the clock. Disable the rotation lock from there or update driver -> Extract it and follow the instructions in the g-sensor folder. Reboot and you're done (from Gangrell #10814).
*Front camera? (if it didn't work previously then it still won't work)

I hope i posted in the right forum, now
Hello All,
I know this may be a long shot, but at CES this week Samsung announced the new TabPro S running Win10. I got curios and saw my Note Pro with a huge screen and thought... "What if there's a way of getting Win10 running on my NotePro". So here i am, I've spent the better half of the night till morning searching the internet for a blimp of something related and came up with nothing. So im here today to ask:
1. Is it possible to boot Win10 on the NotePro?
2. How can i determine if it can or cannot?
3. Whats needed to make it work?
4. Find the blocks preventing it from working and find a way around it or thru it.
Would be cool to make it dual boot. Have it ask you "Android or Windows?" When it turns on. Lets make this happen!
The desktop version of Windows 10 does not support ARM, so it isn't possible. Windows 10 Mobile is designed for ARM but I would say that there is no way to get that version to boot either. And I don't think there is any reason to even try, as Android is really superior to Win 10 Mobile.
When you say Win10 mobile, do you mean Win10 IoT (Internet of Things)?
I know IoT is compatible with Raspberry Pi 2 and Arduino devices, I wonder if someone works on it, it could be installed on android tablets and phones...
Hey Guys,
Surface Pro 4 TouchScreen Finally working with Bliss x86 Rom but with an old custom build from raeckraeck.
I have the source code of that build, can someone find Surface Pro 4 TouchScreen drivers and merge it in newer build tree in github of bliss os, so that in future with every build our Surface Pro 4 TouchScreen works.
check this link for source code as well as image for usb to try out.
link?
We do have specific releases for most of the Surface devices now, including all the ones using IPTS. Check the release posts, and the downloads you all want are in the Bleeding-Edge folders

Great if you can provide the link which of the Bleeding Edge builds actually boots with SP4 - as I cant seem to pass the GRUB boot screen.
Thanks for the great work BTW
It was quite an experience getting Android installed on my SP4. Took a number of failed attempts creating a bootable USB drive to finally discover that the Surface is very fussy about USB sticks. Finally solved the puzzle after trying a few different drives. Found an old 4gb one that would actually boot. Three versions of Android later, I found this Bliss page and ? I have a dual booting SP4! that has a working touch screen. Now, if it only had exfat support........
I have just installed the most recent build on SP4 and no touch at all..?
Yea I finally got it to install but no touch. How are you guys going about getting that working? I installed the latest build.
I tried the surface releases and touch works but Google setup fails to connect so I can't get past setup

I've had the same problem as those above. I tried two of the Pie builds for Surface and the simple fact of the matter is that neither of them had touchscreen functionality. Tried an Oreo build and had the touchscreen...several issues with google apps disconnecting and certain other apps just freezing.
Disappointed.
what's IPTS? I have a Surface Go, can I use the BlissOS with IPTS for the surface go?
Do we have any mod or app that would lunch desktop mode, similar to Samsung DeX, once 7 pro connected over HDMI to large monitor?
I think the OP7p only has screen mirroring built in. If you want to use a USB Hub/kb/mouse you need to be rooted, bootloader unlocked, and install a custom kernel. If you don't want to mess with that stuff, you have to wait for Android Q, which has a desktop mode built in.
Good to know! Cheers

I'm already unlocked, rooted, and screen mirroring is not same as DeX /desktop station. Everything is huge, lol. Any mods or apps you know that can modify the view on a big screen?
Old thread, but I too would love desktop mode on my rooted OnePlus. Just wait for A13? ...or is there a current solution?
Looks like I found it... TaskBar in PlayStore. I can't wait to try it out.

The basic Android 11 Desktop Mode works pretty well on my OnePlus 7 Pro running LineageOS 18.1. For some reason it doesn't work on my OnePlus 9 Pro running LineageOS 19.1. Make sure you enable Developer Options, then "Force Desktop Mode" and "Enable Freeform Windows". Good luck!
I have had to get hold of a phone, rapido and cheapo - which meant me having to bypass a replacement iPhone option;
Now I have purchased for just a pony a Chinese XGODY android phone, which works - however I am having many issues rooting it and anglicising the rom/recovery/bootloader. And of course updating the OS; it says it's running 10, but as far as I can tell that is BS, it is running either 5 or 6 - lollipop or marshmallow.
Now I need a little advice on what to do to put a newer OS on it; or preferably put a linux based OS on it
NB. I run Linux mint, but also have a vmware win11 I can spin up;
Ps. I do also have OTG connector
Any advice would be great; I have reinstalled devices before, HP Touchpad from WebOS to Android, using Cyanogennod and TWRP; but am stuck on this Chinese bugger; there doesn't even seem to be anything about it on web or forums anywhere;
Thanks for your comments/advice
