[App][2.1+] Pho.to Lab - photo effects, frames and montages

Pho.to Lab is a photo processing app which boasts one of the vastest collections of stylish and funny photo effects: more than 500 effects to date! Fantastic face photo montages, photo frames, animated effects and photo filters are here for you to enjoy.

}
Pho.to Lab features include:
☆ Photo frames:
choose one of our beautiful frames if you need a final touch to your favorite picture.
☆ Realistic photo effects:
place your image in an unlikely setting. Airbrush it on an exclusive car or leave it as a sand imprint on the beach.
☆ Face photo montages:
Turn yourself or your friend into Jack Sparrow, an astronaut or a horrible monster. The most complicated montages are handled automatically by a face detection algorithm.
☆ Photo filters:
add some style to your images with various photo filters such as Black&White, Neon Glow, Oil Painting and many others.
☆ Photo collages:
create a wonderful picture of you and your friend floating together in a sentimental or futuristic setting.
How it works:
First, choose a photo effect. Then pick a photo you want to process. The photo will be uploaded to our servers and it will be processed there. Then the result will be downloaded back to your phone. All the effects are applied automatically, so you don't have to tweak them manually. This includes face montages. Our face detection algorithms will take care of your portraits.
Important:
Pho.to Lab needs Internet connection to process photos. That's why it's a good idea to use it when your smartphone or tablet is connected to Wi-Fi network.
Feedback:
If you want to complain about something or if you have a feature request, feel free to post in this thread. Alternatively, email [email protected]

As the official part is over, let me add my two cents. My name's Kate, and I'm a part of the dev team which has created Pho.to Lab. I'm eager to hear what you think of it and to help if you have any problems with the app. Negative feedback is welcome! Though personally I'd prefer flattering comments. Please, PM me if you don't feel like reaching out via email or posting here.
Uploading photos might not best option.

That's why we advise to use Wi-Fi. Besides, downloading an image seems way more efficient than storing 500+ hi-res photo frames in a phone memory. If Pho.to Lab worked offline, we should have sent a 16 GB flash drive to each user

Yes, but neither is jamming all the effects into phone memory. Besides, we have tons of pictures processed on our site everyday and no one has complained of privacy problems so far. (It's not a challenge, please don't try to hack it somehow)
You can make use of technology like webservices etc for processing instructions.
Just like google doing voice to text conversions. If we can imagine their data center size
Edit: It is brand power that people rely so much. I wish you all the best.
If you wish to provide cloud based services for storage it will sound positive but not just for image processing. Thanks.

Actually, we do provide storage services. But we're centered on photo processing and everything related to it, so we only host images. I guess I'll create a thread for our photo sharing app a little later.

I see. Let me know if you still have any problems with it. The problem is that we can't test with all devices on every ROM. And complexity is very high now, because we have lot's of different processing, not only capture image and save, as other cameras. Hope we'll cope with Android fragmentation soon for 100%

Yes. I still have the problem with the latest release. I bought the 'unlock all forever' option. It cost me £4. I've never been able to use it. Like I said before. Every single other camera app on Android works fine on my device.
Your app has been broken for the last year and a half, despite various updates. There's also the fact it's asking me to re-purchase the unlock now.
By far my worst software experience on Android since I first got a phone with Gingerbread. I'd recommend staying well away from this product until improvements are made.
Great app! But on LG G2 there is a "mw_continuous_picture" focus mode and your camera do not use it and so it is not able to turn on the flash to focus in low light condition. Please add support for that focus mode.
Thanks.

As I mentioned, it's rather complex software comparing to other apps. We're now concentrated on support all android devices with official ROM, after that we can check with CM. However we have feedback that it's working fine on some devices with CM.
If you have troubles - you should ask for refund. About asking to pay again - seems you bought using inapps. It's not possible to pay twice, but it can ask if data from play services wasn't updated on first start.

Black Friday sale!!! Share with your friends! Great chance to get ABC for a minimal possible price!

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.almalence.supersensordemo
What is Super Sensor? It's our all-in-one solution to improve camera!
Can be used:
- in low light - resolution improvement, noise reduction, shadow recovery
- when bright back-light causes object of interest to be lost in shadows. Super Sensor recover automatically and noise-free
- scenes with beach and snow - automatic adjustment of typical auto-exposure failures (no user interaction!). What should be white is white now. Low-contrast details are not lost but enhanced. Miniature details revealed.
- Due to DR enhancement by up to 18db, high dynamic range scenes are handled well by Super Sensor.
- Super zoom - presenting a zoomed-in image from mobile device can be a frustrating experience. Not with Super Sensor.
- Perfect for documents: superior resolution and contrast maximisation. Always.
Super mode will be available in A Better Camera new release
All provided examples are UNALTERED and taken on stock Nexus 5 with SuperSensor!

Thanks for reply! We're already testing this issue. So I hope it'll be available soon!
Just tried SuperSensor on my N5 v1.5 (Feb 22nd) and it is fantastic, much better results than the first versions.
My choice camera app in GOOD LIGHT: for detailed 18MPx photos, digital zoom and in high contrast situations that Google Camera cant handle.
My only but is low light, here I find that Google Camera HDR+ mode is sharper (requires to boost exposure in editing though), probably because SuperSensor uses higher and noisier ISOs that blur detail?
THANKS!!!
Hi
I tried A LOT of cameras, yours for me is the best one!
Just a question: samsung stock camera has light metering modes, such as spot, center weighted, matrix, etc...
There's a specific issue for this lack of functionality on your (and other's) camera?
A Better Camera has auto, matrix, center-weighted, and spot metering too. Pull the settings panel down from the top; it's in there.

it depends on device. Not all devices support all these modes. Some have only center.

Now this, this really is something. Never have we had an Open Source camera that does reliable post processing. Congratulations on you and the team! Incredibly excited to see where this will be going, as the only other open source option was Open Camera, and to say that the UI was lacking would be an understatement. Are there any plans to introduce Video support with the same level of manual controls?
I tried it on my Redmi Note 9 Pro (joyeuse) running an Android 10 GSI and I'm impressed by the interface and features. It recognizes and switches successfully to three of the four sensors on the back. However, the UI is slightly compressed, leaving a gap at the bottom and making the preview look like a 16:9 image compressed to 4:3. That being said, the final images look great and I'm excited to try it out in different scenarios. I've attached two images with a banana for scale to see exactly what I mean.
Once again, thank you for working on this and I'm excited to see how you'll be improving the app!

I haven't had the chance to download the beta version yet, so I'm even more excited to see what will be introduced to us this Thursday.
I have watched ours of YT videos about Android Tiramisu and One UI 5, but haven't noticed many changes or real upgrades that would make it attractive to me. I saw a preview of ColorOS 13' design and the quantum animation engine which looks like it will boost the app performance and usability.
Comparison video I found:
(@ Mods please remove the video link if not ok)
What are you expecting from this upcoming launch? I saw the teaser posts where it says "smart & connect" so I expect that we will see a feature or function that integrates the device into a wider system, maybe with the OPPO Pad. Also I think we will see a big pump in performance through the quantum animation engine
Smart and Connected is a nice hint. Connected in which way is the question

In the new AOD settings, there are new features such as
Contextual Info which gives you options to add Music playback which opens your Spotify, and there are
Supported Apps which gives me a Chinese menu and says No data yet
I shared a screenshot below if it helps.
Sorry to hear that @E. Marine Life
You should log a Feedback
I've had the beta version since the 3rd and I have had a love-hate relationship with it throughout the past few weeks, at least until the 2nd patch of updates.
I like how edge lighting is included whenever you receive notifications
Sure Bitmoji, Climate Change, and the new AOD playback is cool. I tried turning on Screen always on and within a couple of minutes, my phone was heating up - so I'm not sure how I feel about this yet
I like the smart sidebar, but I have already seen this in One UI 4.0 so it's just nice to have it here now
The media player widget section in the shelf drawer is only okay if you're playing any music. Since I don't use it, I don't like it as much since I can't remove it.
Aquamorphic still has to be seen

What are you expecting from this upcoming launch? I saw the teaser posts where it says "smart & connect" so I expect that we will see a feature or function that integrates the device into a wider system, maybe with the OPPO Pad. Also I think we will see a big pump in performance through the quantum animation engine

The media player widget section in the shelf drawer is only okay if you're playing any music.

I did not see this in the shelf drawer. Are you referring to the widgets on the screen? Or the control center?

Not sure how I missed that.
Is the Quantum Animation Engine a hardware that allows that seamless transition? Or is it how they call the transition?

Smart and Connected is a nice hint. Connected in which way is the question

It's interconnectivity across their devices since they have a tablet coming out

A demo was shown in the launch last night. You can view your phone screen on your laptop and use it from there. A useful feature for when you are on your laptop and don't want to get inconvenienced holding your phone or if you have it in a bag.

Been trying out different features, mostly the Bitmoji in AOD but it has been causing my phone to heat up in minutes. I turned it off for now but it's cute that they integrated it as a new feature.
Did you experience any overheating too?

Here are the key highlights of the ColorOS 13 Global Launch Event
ColorOS 13 has its focus on 3 main points
Aquamorphic Design
Healthcare & Privacy
Smart Productivity
Furthermore, the Design goes with the flow as Water does, including upgrades on Font, Theme Palettes, Clock, and an all-new Eco AOD feature. On the Privacy side, OPPO's newest OS shows its approach to user security, with new the Auto Pixelate feature and Private Safe upgrade, bringing these features on a new layer for users.
The Productivity part has been introduced with a major upgrade of the Multi-Screen feature, Insight AOD that shows your phone usage and helps to organize your day, the Dynamic Computing Engine, and updates on Widgets & Folders.
I'm sure what we see here is the iceberg of an amazing new upgrade, including a wider variety of devices and their connectivity within the ecosystem. It will take some time to explore all new features and optimized flows, overall it leaves the impression to me that ColorOS is leading actually the real innovation across Android OS.

A lot of it depends on your region and if your region is covered by GDPR.
You must be from the EU hehe

Good list bro. Do you have a favorite?
My favorite is the Privacy feature to Auto Pixelate. I used to spend time cropping screenshots to remove the name and profile picture, so it's very efficient for what I use screenshots for.

Yeah such is my life. I get why they can't but it just sucks a bit sometimes. I would have liked to use some of them just to feel like I'm not missing out.

Wow! What a long list! You must have been paying attention more.
Yeah, I haven't tried all of these features and honestly, a lot of these are good to have. My must haves are the Multi-Screen. It's just easier not to pick up the phone every time there is a notification.
Someone in some European country received colour os13 for find x5 pro? Or is oppo playing games with us?
