What is your device and Android version?
Android 4.4.4 CM11
Xperia Active (satsuma)
Every other camera app that i've tried works fine, without exception.
I bought the All-In-One IAP pack and was disappointed to not be able to use it.

I see. Let me know if you still have any problems with it. The problem is that we can't test with all devices on every ROM. And complexity is very high now, because we have lot's of different processing, not only capture image and save, as other cameras. Hope we'll cope with Android fragmentation soon for 100%

Yes. I still have the problem with the latest release. I bought the 'unlock all forever' option. It cost me £4. I've never been able to use it. Like I said before. Every single other camera app on Android works fine on my device.
Your app has been broken for the last year and a half, despite various updates. There's also the fact it's asking me to re-purchase the unlock now.
By far my worst software experience on Android since I first got a phone with Gingerbread. I'd recommend staying well away from this product until improvements are made.
Great app! But on LG G2 there is a "mw_continuous_picture" focus mode and your camera do not use it and so it is not able to turn on the flash to focus in low light condition. Please add support for that focus mode.
Thanks.

As I mentioned, it's rather complex software comparing to other apps. We're now concentrated on support all android devices with official ROM, after that we can check with CM. However we have feedback that it's working fine on some devices with CM.
If you have troubles - you should ask for refund. About asking to pay again - seems you bought using inapps. It's not possible to pay twice, but it can ask if data from play services wasn't updated on first start.

Currently we provide standard parameters. But will provide non standard soon.
Black Friday sale!!! Share with your friends! Great chance to get ABC for a minimal possible price!
We released new demo application. Currently it's available only for Nexus 5 users with Android 5. Later we'll add few more devices with Android 5 full camera2 API support.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.almalence.supersensordemo
What is Super Sensor? It's our all-in-one solution to improve camera!
Can be used:
- in low light - resolution improvement, noise reduction, shadow recovery
- when bright back-light causes object of interest to be lost in shadows. Super Sensor recover automatically and noise-free
- scenes with beach and snow - automatic adjustment of typical auto-exposure failures (no user interaction!). What should be white is white now. Low-contrast details are not lost but enhanced. Miniature details revealed.
- Due to DR enhancement by up to 18db, high dynamic range scenes are handled well by Super Sensor.
- Super zoom - presenting a zoomed-in image from mobile device can be a frustrating experience. Not with Super Sensor.
- Perfect for documents: superior resolution and contrast maximisation. Always.
Super mode will be available in A Better Camera new release
All provided examples are UNALTERED and taken on stock Nexus 5 with SuperSensor!
Unable to start camera
I tried the app and found it great. It was a week ago.
But the update had come and since then I had the "Unable to start camera" message.
HTC Desire, Android 4.4.4 Evervolv.
Is it possible for you to test few versions? We can't localize this issue.

Thanks for reply! We're already testing this issue. So I hope it'll be available soon!
Just tried SuperSensor on my N5 v1.5 (Feb 22nd) and it is fantastic, much better results than the first versions.
My choice camera app in GOOD LIGHT: for detailed 18MPx photos, digital zoom and in high contrast situations that Google Camera cant handle.
My only but is low light, here I find that Google Camera HDR+ mode is sharper (requires to boost exposure in editing though), probably because SuperSensor uses higher and noisier ISOs that blur detail?
THANKS!!!
Hi
I tried A LOT of cameras, yours for me is the best one!
Just a question: samsung stock camera has light metering modes, such as spot, center weighted, matrix, etc...
There's a specific issue for this lack of functionality on your (and other's) camera?
A Better Camera has auto, matrix, center-weighted, and spot metering too. Pull the settings panel down from the top; it's in there.

it depends on device. Not all devices support all these modes. Some have only center.

Hey guys i found this bug for better night photos on HTC One X INTERNATIONAL version so IDK for sure will it work here but it SHOULD since it's the same camera sensor , anyway give it a try  and let me know , good luck !
Hey guys this is HTC One X GREAT camera BUG i found recently.

Thx to Hamdir for testing my bug and providing us professional comparison.
Also thx to neuTrue for enchanting one of my photos to show us what we can do with some more software

Ok so anyway i found this bug when i was compering S3 vs HoX in deep , for those who missed it you can find it here

As for the bug with camera :
1st how does this bug works:
Simply , it gets stuck between scenes which i found accidentally while comparing HoX Vs My cousins s3 lol.
Anyway to be more specific it uses 2 scenes at the same time which provides great photos @ night , probably best 2012 phone @ day and Night INDEED is HOX. and i'll dare to say it comes close to HTC One with this Bug.
Important: this bug works ONLY with SENSE ( maybe miue roms as well ) and i found this bug on 3.18 base ( also working with 3.19 base ) for those still on ICS idk would it work there or at lower bases probably does.
How to use this BUG/GLITCH:
Outdoors night photos
> Open camera
> Turn off flash
> Chose NIGHT scene
> Chose HDR mode
Click to collapse
> Take a photo
This bug will add you an extra 100-300% more light to your photos. For even MORE light i'd say 50/100% more light do this:
After taking the photo , go to gallery>edit and AUTO ENCHANT it.
NOTE:
After this if you see boost in your display regarding brightness = bug is applied. Take a pic but be VERY VERY STEADY , even little movement will up the photo.
NOTE:
If you don't see improvement from the start you gotta REPEAT the process , sometimes it takes more then 1 time to get this bug working.
Also you must notice this: When you apply NIGHT scene you should see CAMERA being LAGGY when moving , after switching to HDR if it stays laggy and gives more light = bug is working 100%
For indoor photos with bug
> Turn ON flash ( not auto but ON )
> Chose NIGHT scene
> Chose HDR mode
> Take a photo
NOTE:
If you're using Underclocked CPU i'd suggest you use minimum 1300mhz quad core, with less speed shutter isn't fast enough to catch the light with HDR
BUG with FLASH - 50%-150% more light then normal flash light photos:
Ok this bug works similar as first one.
> Open camera
> Turn ON flash
> Chose NIGHT scene
> Switch to BACKLIGHT scene
> Take a photo
Note:
When you switch to NIGHT mode you should see your camera being LAGGY , after switching to BACKLIGHT scene if your camera stays laggy = bug is working.
TIPS:
1. Try to be still when taking photos especially with HDR BUG.
2. For more light use after taking the picture gallery effects - auto enchance , with picassa / instagram you can modify them even more to be even better.

IMPORTANT
Q) Will this bug crash/kill my camera ?
A) I don't know , i've been using it for over 2 weeks now everything is working as it should.
If you guys gonna use this BUG would be nice if you could upload some samples as well
So NOTE if you gonna use this bug you use it at your OWN RISK so don't blame me if you up your camera.
Thx to Hamdir for testing my bug and providing us professional comparison.
Also thx to neuTrue for enchanting one of my photos to show us what we can do with some more software

HTC One X: Hidden Low Light Abilities (Firmware 3.19.401.1)
Did you guys know the One X has night vision abilities? check this out
Ordinarily the Flash can be used but it casts the photo in blue plus add abnormal shadows, at least you can counter the blue by setting the white balance to Fluorescent before taking the photo
The included Night scene is not as effective, it forbids the Flash, it locks to ISO 1250 and cuts the shutter speed in half for more exposure time, sadly the results are often bad and not useful
But then for very low light and still photos, there is a revelation that is the HDR mode, especially when combined with auto flash it can do wonders, auto flash will smartly use two quick flash bursts to get better exposures for HDR, surprisingly auto flash with HDR does not cast shadows neither does it tint the screen
Finally a bug discovered by Shan89, switch to Night mode and then immediatly back to HDR mode, the shutter will get stuck in slow mode collecting even more light, you can also combine auto flash for killer results!
The bug mode is highlighted below with an *
keep in mind the shutter will be very slow at this point and you need to be very still until the word "processing" appears on screen (to counter motion blur),
Equally the resulting photo will fail to record the correct shutter speed since it's a bug after all
Some of the following results were brighter than my own eyes

I'm testing this out on ViperXL 3.2.7 with Lyapota's Camera Mod, and the bug doesn't seem to be present. The camera does not seem to get "stuck" between modes, and there isn't any telltale lag. Comparison photos on my phone seem to be pretty much identical.

I'm using viper X as well with lyapota's mod as well and it's working , make sure when you test this you're in *dark* area , it wont work if you test it on daylight since sensor wont apply night mode anyway.
At least this is how it's on HoX Tegra 3 version.

Did you even manage to bug Night scene + HDR mode ? and take a photo ? If so main thing you'll need from gallery effects is auto enchants and add effect * levels * then adjust the light levels , some other more advanced programs can help even more, trust me i'm not pro at enchanting skills , the enchanted photo wasn't done by me , i just posted what some guy did with it

Almalence, Inc., the maker of a number of camera apps for Android, including HDR Camera+, has just released Open Camera, an open source camera app with an extendable commercial version (A Better Camera).
Our intention is to make A Better Camera a top-ranked app and allow third-party developers add their plugins (free or paid), getting instant exposure to millions of users.
We welcome all of you to test that fresh application, provide your comments and, of course, join the project as developers!
Availability:
Open Camera is available at Github: Get from GitHub
Available on Google Play: A Better Camera, the version with Almalence’s proprietary plugins (free with some features in trial mode): Get from Play
The idea:
Provide as much shooting modes, features and options as possible, potentially replacing all other camera apps
Plug-in system, allowing developers to easily implement new modes without having to develop the whole camera functionality from scratch
Make it possible to use the code in commercial applications and in conjunction with code and libraries under different licenses (Open Camera is under MPL 1.1)
Allow third party developers to add their paid plugins to the commercial version distributed by Almalence
The Synergy:
Almalence works on making A Better Camera the top app on Google Play
The developers can add their plugins to A Better Camera, getting instant exposure to millions of the users of ABC, instead of publishing a new app which goes to the bottom of apps list.
Features available at the moment in A Better Camera:
HDR (functionality is the same as in HDR Camera+ app)
Panorama
Unwanted objects removal: remove objects from the photo with a tap
Night mode: capture sharp and noise-free photos in any illumination
Group portrait: make everyone smile, fuse faces from series of photos into one
Video recording
Pre-shot: capture what happened before you tap the button
Sequence shot: capture the evolution of the dynamic scene
Burst shooting and exposure bracketing
Self-timer
+ full access to all Camera controls, settings and functions
The processing libraries used for HDR, Panorama, Night mode, Group portrait stitching, objects removal and sequence shot are available under developer license (can be used for development, but not for distribution)
All interested developers and users are welcome to discussion!
Great camera! Thanks for sharing it. I've made this the default camera app on my S4. I've compared the basic camera control features to many others including stock AOSP, FV-5, Lenovo Super Camera (ignoring gimmicky features such fancy effects, filters, stickers, i heart u from apps like Camera Zoom FX, Cymera, etc). This camera app comes out on top.
Wishes:
- Faster load. It's good now, but can be better.
- Manual ISO settings (on Galaxy S4, it doesn't show though other camera apps can show it)
- Live/actual shutter speed and aperture (I know aperture is fixed, but for the thinking photographer, it helps to see the numbers)
- Exposure Bracketing setting: +-1, +- 0.5, etc
- Timer setting: 1 sec (for movement reduction after tapping the screen), 3 sec, 10 sec, etc
- Timer setting: disable/enable flash warning
- Flash compensation (useful for fill-in, not that the onboard flash can do much)
- Swipe to gallery (a bonus, not a must)
- Faster load. Did I say faster load?
(I think all those wishes are still sticking to basic features)
But even without the wish list, this camera app rocks. Hopefully it would make the XDA front page one of these days (already tipped them).
yes a great camera APP! Now one of my camera app on HTC ONE.
I use Camera360, Lenovo Super Camera, Focal, Camera FV-5, HDR+ ....
my Wish:
please make a widget, so that you can start the camera applikation with settings !!!
-> example: on click on HDR Widget or one click on Normal Widget ...
i dont know why i need always to go in the camera app, make my settings and then i can make my photo.
it would be nice to save the settings to a widget
Thank you for the feedback

tasker support
wishlist:
when you done it a solution with settings - you have new possibilities:
I use utter - a personal voice assistent ( a very good one) this software has support for tasker ( automatic solution) :
so it would be a nice solution to have tasker support
i say: "make a normal photo" -> the phone make a normal photo
i say: "make hdr photo" -> it makes a hdr photo ...
i say: "make video" -> it makes a video
it was the first solution like this

New in this version:
- Exposure lock, White balance lock, Focus lock added
- HDR fixes (gray lines/images problem on some devices - big thanks to Krzy Pal)
- video mode improved
- launch speed-up
- support of different devices
- object removal/groupshot/sequence improvements
- stability fixes
This app has an awful lot of promise. Nicely done! One problem I am having is after selecting video mode, it doesn't want to let me return back to single shot mode.
Of lesser importance, I also wish there were a way to switch to video faster and think the main app icon could be improved. Look forward to future development. Thanks!

I did yesterday. Thank you for the sale.
Could you add an option to edit a series of photos after they are taken to apply hdr, object removal or sequence shot manually (rather than apply those live). That would mean that I could take a burst shot of 10 photos and then decide later on if I want to create a sequence shot or apply object removal.
I hope that makes sense.

Hi,
I was trying to change the ISO value on my nexus 5 and I discovered that google camera has not this feature. Therefore I tried to use another app (Camera FV-5 light) that allows the ISO selection but is seems that this option is disabled on my nexus 5 (grey colour of the writing and nothing happens if you click on it).
Then I installed the same app on the nexus 7 and this option works allowing to select the ISO.....
Is it a problem of my phone or of all nexus 5 devices?
Can anyone help me?
Thanks in advance for the help!

the reason why its not in the google camera nor aosp camera app, and grayed out camera fv-5, is because the nexus 5 doesnt have the capability, it isnt available for the camera. so it shows up grayed out.

Thank you for the help! This means that it is an hardware issues? Or there is the possibility that the iso control will come with a future update?
It is a little displeasing to heard about since nexus 7 has this setting even with a lower (or almost not better) camera.....

I hope so! But sorry.....a further opinion (since I'm not an expert of hardware or software matters)...
If it is only software related, why if I change app (from Google Camera to, eg, Camera FV-5 light) still I miss the ISO setting?
Is it depend on the OS? But why on Nexus 7 with the same OS and Camera FV-5 light I'm able to do it?
Thank you again!

again, because its not enabled to do so. if not enabled, an app isnt going to change things(maybe a root app that changes system files). as of right now, it cant.
I have an app called "pro capture" which offers "exposure" settings to + or - 2. I'm not sure exactly what this does. Typically exposure is a combination of aperture, shutter speed and ISO.
ISO is a sensitivity to light. Exposure compensation in a real camera would adjust the the shutter if you were in aperture priority mode. It would adjust the aperture if you were in shutter priority mode. None of these are controllable on the nexus so not sure what this app is doing. Some sort of software post processing I imagine.
Here are a couple of shots with + 2, 0 and - 2

Is it worth buying the app? Probably not. I bought it for wide-screen shots but I only use Google now as it has higher than 2mpix wide now.
Does it benefit us in anyway? Probably not other than avoiding brightening a dark image in a image editor afterwards

Looks very nice so far, everything seems to be working fine, will be be the ability to change which folder it stores the images/videos to or to choose from Internal or SD Card (External) in the future?
Thanks. :fingers-crossed:
just installed this and I must say I really like it. reminds me of how fast taking photos was on my 6 plus

Looks cool. I'd love to see an option to save photos to sd card tho

okay, fine~ we will consider your suggestion, dear.
We will update more functions in the second stage.
Welcome to give us feedback any time
Only getting 2.1mp images from my Nexus 5 running 5.1 and there's no option to change it to 8mp
Also the video is 720p only and video quality is very bad.
Ui is perfect, bet the viewfinder is rather slow, and focus as well.
Add some more options to the gallery, like showing all picture folders.
Improve these things and i have a new daily driver!
I love the design however it looks too identical to the one on iOS, try making the design your own? Something unique but good looking.
You should add exposure functions and other camera functions. If that happens I will definitely ditch Google Camera for this.
Looks good so far. Is there an option for HDR?
Need a panorama mode and a settings section otherwise great app
Getting "Fail to connect the camera. Please turn off the flash or reboot your phone and try again." Tried rebooting and it stay this way. Google camera works fine. I'm using Samsung Captivate i897 running OMNIrom 5.0.2 Lollipop
i tried it on my nexus 5 , the video quality is very low and there is no option for change it !!
thank you for this application
OK, I tried this out a bit earlier and I'm digging the filters.. My only question is whether or not a soft back button can be implemented? It would make switching from the camera to another app a lot easier, instead of having to click on the gallery/last picture I snapped to get that functionality..
Only black in preview screen.. but capture is ok..

Implement Camera2 into this and it will be fantastic.
powerful?
Picture size is 1280x720 normal
switched to square and it's 2322x2322
switched back to normal and it's 4128x2322
Video is 1280x720
The only available setting is Flash. And it doesn't work.
Is that really worth mentioning at http://www.xda-developers.com/new-app-spotlight-geak-camera/ ?
Galaxy S4 TW 5.0.1
this is great, i would like to see an ability of saving the image in the sd card instead of internal memory. Please add the features from AOSP camera. like manual exposure and changing the image size and others. thanks and keep the good work up
just add small setting menu
and hdr
and i will move to these app
oh, and i like your compass and calculator apps

Now this, this really is something. Never have we had an Open Source camera that does reliable post processing. Congratulations on you and the team! Incredibly excited to see where this will be going, as the only other open source option was Open Camera, and to say that the UI was lacking would be an understatement. Are there any plans to introduce Video support with the same level of manual controls?
I tried it on my Redmi Note 9 Pro (joyeuse) running an Android 10 GSI and I'm impressed by the interface and features. It recognizes and switches successfully to three of the four sensors on the back. However, the UI is slightly compressed, leaving a gap at the bottom and making the preview look like a 16:9 image compressed to 4:3. That being said, the final images look great and I'm excited to try it out in different scenarios. I've attached two images with a banana for scale to see exactly what I mean.
Once again, thank you for working on this and I'm excited to see how you'll be improving the app!

Is the update regularly uploaded on GitHub Releases Page too?
Photon vs Gcam. Both are taken in HDR.
Somehow the result is too bright and the file size is almost 3 times bigger than Gcam.
