My Focus acts weird when I add the first windows live account.
When I plug in my live account, then
"[email protected]" is added as a live account
(with a random password.)
So the access to market apps is completely blocked
and since the first live account is not deletable I have to hard reset each time.
Is there anyone having same problem? What would be solution?
Thanks in adv.
This is a first

"[email protected]" is the sample email you see in the field where you are to enter your own email address that is associated with your main Windows Live account. The password field should be blank, though - no characters at all.
Are you saying that you can setup your Live account fine, and then another account appears afterward that you haven't set up?

Yes, I setup my Live account at settings, and random account appears.
Here are some screenshots.

Like this, "[email protected]" is actually added as the primary Windows Live account. On Marketplace the account is also "[email protected]" and I can't change it.
(I know this address should be an example.... but here it is weird.)
By the way, I think I posted this on Focus forum, but I don't know why it ended being in WP7 forum. Although it doesn't matter.
Strange

Very strange, indeed. What did Tech Support say?
anything on this?
Having the same problem on a ATT HD7S.
Got my HD7S from ATT yesterday. Still can't get it to set up correctly. No tutorials for the HD7 (or HD7S) on the ATT web site like the box indicates either.
When ever I try to add a Windows Live account (a primary account using an existing Windows Live ID that is not associated with any other device and not modifying the stupid default ATT demo account) it fails. Yes, all spelling and password is correct. The account address then reads "something[at]example[dot]com" and "Attention required" and the account can not be modified or deleted (I assume this is because it is supposed to be the primary phone account?). ATT support is horrible and was absolutely no help.
Stupid thing also keeps showing a Meet Windows Phone kind of screen saver whenever the phone goes idle. I am hoping this goes away once the primary Windoes Live account is set up.
Searching XDA forums for "something[at]example[dot]com" and "Attention required" was also of no help. What should I be searching for?
Really ATT/Microsoft? Right out of the box this thing is a pain.
Any help?

It sounds like they sold you a phone intended to be a display model for the store. I'd guess that the Live account setup is actually disabled because of this.
Solved!?

Yeah, same conclusion I came to after some surfing... (damnit can't post links yet because of my noob status)
(http - answers.microsoft.com/en-us/winphone/forum/wp7-sync/windows-live-account-sync-issues/6a6315a9-0455-4fbe-badf-1c8cc38b69a0)
Here is some more info on what the phone was doing in case someone else encounters this:
Somehow the phone was in "dog food" mode which is some kind of internal MS testing or demo mode. I never saw any kind of getting started wizard when turning on the phone, even after a hard reset (Power On while holding Vol Up/Down) which is what new users are supposed to see.
Instead, after the phone would boot, trying to do anything would result in a "Loading..." screen. After a few miniutes, the phone would automaticallyreboot and have all the ATT software loaded along with a dummy "Me" account ([email protected] or something like that) with fake contacts, messages and email like some kind of demo mode.
Trying to add a new Windows Live account would result in "[email protected]" with "Attention required" below the entry in the account list. Clicking on the corrupted entry would not allow you to change the "[email protected]" address, but you could reenter the password. Entering a password resulted in a Captcha (sp?) verification and password reentry. This always failed though.
Took it back got a new one and I would not let the service people touch it this time (they set it up for me last time). This time, I cracked the seal on the box myself, got the [getting started] wizard option right after boot and everything worked fine right out of the box like it is suppoed to happen.
So... either the phone was fubared, the saleperson messed up the setup (how in the world?) or they gave me a demo model? Like MPerz said, my bet is on the last option. @&#! A whole day wasted.
I hope this helps the next poor bastard this happens to.
FYI, the online ATT tutorial for the HD7S is actually at (http - att.deviceanywhere.com/htchd7s/tutorials). It wasn't accessable through the normal support menus this morning, only via that direct link.
Funny part is... I went to a store instead of ordering it online so I could avoid any problems... Oh the pain!
I would recommend finding a way to submit a complaint to Microsoft regarding this. AT&T's treatment of this platform has been shameful; from being relegated to a back corner ghetto in each store to the snail's pace update roll-outs and now it would seem that their sales reps can't even set the devices up properly. It's especially frustrating in light of CEO De La Vega's comments that if Microsoft wants to sell more units, "I think they just need to make it better." (I can't post links yet, so search for the quote to see it in context.)
Hello,
I recently borrowed tablet that I needed to create app for some company, that was the chief's son tablet. I did the job, gived it back and was sure that i logged out from my google account. But right now on my google account in "my apps" I see thousand of free apps and I am scared that this kid will start buying paid games on my credit card. I contacted chief via e-mail, but till now there is no answer. Cannot contact him personally because right now I am not in the city.
So is there any way to exclude one of devices from my google account via web browser on my computer?
Can't you just change your Google password instead?
Well, I didn't thought about this, actually I can do it if there is no other way. I do not know how complicated it will be, because I have this two-step verification login etc.
I don't believe there is any other way of simply deleting a device from your Google account.
Ok so recently i have been refunding purchases from a game that i am playing. After a while google decided to block all my purchases from a specific gmail account. The problem now , it seems that google has blocked my device as a whole instead of only blocking my account from making a purchase. How did i come up with that? Simple i logged in my brothers google account in my blocked device and I still cant make a purchase. While that account using his phone could make a purchase. And even with a fresh account on my blocked device still cant make any purchase.
I tried to submit documents to confirm my account but they were firm with the decision to close the payment function of my account.
I have tried changing my device id, imei, mac address, android id, s/n using exposed but none of this seems to work. Any one has an idea how to by pass this ban?

Greetings and welcome to assist. Xda is a site run by developers so refunding purchases like this directly affects the members so unfortunately we can't help you with this issue
Thanks for understanding

When I first tried to access other playstores with a freshly made account, it worked, but now I think that account is now region locked to the US as everytime I try to use a VPN, I always get the english playstore. Worst part is that I don't have anymore phone numbers left to make a new google account with, so I'm screwed. Is there anyway I could access other playstores without the need of vpns and accounts that I may have overlooked?
I'm sorry if I should be posting this in a different place. But there isn't really other places that are providing help with this issue.
Here is the issue. When I go to my google account on my computer. I go to setup 2FA. Now for some reason, I'm already logged into my account on my computer. Now it's asking me to login onto my phone. I should be able to get a 2FA code from my computer to put into my google authenticator. I would have to log out of my computer account. What's the point of having to login into my google account from my computer. If it asks me to login into my phone. I'm confused.
When I researched the issue I found something about back up codes.
I get to this part
At the top, tap Security.
Under "Signing in to Google," tap 2-Step Verification. You may need to sign in.
Under "Backup codes," tap Continue .
There is no backup codes options. I even go to more option, and there is no back up codes option. I'm assuming I'm going to get a backup code on my desktop computer to enter into my google authenticator. But I'm not finding it? What is going on here? Is there a way to get that code?
I want to get my code to protect my google account. And then on my smart phone that I don't have it connected to the internet. I want to add that code to the authenticator so I can use 2FA to protect my account. Am I doing something wrong here? Or is google making this extra complicated? The google authenticator says to Scan a QR code or Enter a setup key. I know it seems I should be posting this issue some where else, but I'm not getting a support there. And I know you guys use phones a lot and have experience with phones. Do you have this issue with google authenticator? Because the google authenticator app itself doesn't say anything about signing in. In the first place. It just says Setup your first account. And if I'm logged into my computer on google. Why have that option if they don't want you to do it from there in the first place. And there google authenticator says nothing about logging in
Update:
Well, apparently you need to be logged in online on your mobile device. Otherwise when you go to your web browser and login there and then go to setup 2FA it wont see the device. And it won't give you a code. I'm not sure why they have it setup this way. But it can be any android mobile device I believe. Even if vmware if you so choose.
