Can anybody tell me whether it's possible to install android on a tablet pc? E.g. I've got gm10 android tablet pc with android 2.2 on it. It works not so good. E.g.: I can't even log in skype. I can't even install apps from android market. I can't view flash, i can't, i can't. Hardware seems to be well supported. So, my questions: Is there any chance to get it working fine? Is it possible to install android 2.3 or android 3.* on it? Will it support the hardware? Where can i get needed drivers? Can I get them from the currently installed android 2.2? Can I make it forget my e-mail address? Where is android.git.kernel.org? I can't get access to it. (i have another tablet pc as well and i want to install new android on it as well, so it is a common question)
Kernel.org is hacked.
I can restore factory settings by pressing Volume Down + Home + Power.
New flash 10.3 seems to support android 2.2.
Hello, are there any possibilities in the future, that Android would be installed on Windows Phone?
its possible now, if you can write a kernel, code the modules, reflash the partitions then port a rom.
WP7 is much better then android. Believe me.
Want to modify a Tablet (I-ball) rom for my android phone(MT6575). Is it possible?
Do you know how the os installaton works on tablets with intel atom or core m? Can I just download windows/ubuntu and install it form a bootable USB like on laptops or do I need special ROM for that device like regular android phones?

If you have access to fastboot mode (Google it if you don't know how to open it), you can install the official Ubuntu ROM using this method:
How to install Ubuntu Touch on your Android phone or tablet
Or check this official instructions: Installing Ubuntu for devices
But, there's no Windows OS for Android devices.
However there are certain custom ROMs which gives Windows 8 like interface. Search and find those ones compatible for your device.
Else, you can install launchers that give UI like Windows 8 from Play Store.
Hope this helped
Dear all,
i am no developer. My knowledge of how android os even works is zero. I am but a simple android phone user. While using an android phone, I find myself wondering as to whether the stock/vanila android operating system can be modified such that it
1) has a termux-like terminal but with the capability of giving the user temporary root access something like in ubuntu
2) is possible to install it using a bootable flash disk instead of flashing only.
I hope that android developers can kindly let me know as to whether the above is possible or not.
With regards
