Poco X3 NFC completely dead. - Xiaomi Poco X3 NFC Questions & Answers

Just like the title says, I left the phone charging for a whie and when I came back I found it completely dead, I tried turning it on and hard rebooting it but nope. When I plug it into the charger the indicator on top turns on but nothing more than that. I don't have any more details than this sadly so feel free to ask about anything and thanks in advance.

more information, specify what system, is it root or was there an attempt on a different loader.

Well thanks for replying Sebasian. The phone was running on the latest MIUI update, version 12 I believe, Android 11. I did not try to mod the phone in any way, the phone was basically factory new, no root, no custom rom, no different loader, I haven't even factory reset the phone since the day I bought it. So weird.
I took it to get it fixed, the worker said the motherboard got defected and the replacement parts aren't available anywhere, I even looked online for one but I was out of luck, they don't manufacture motherboards for this phone it seems.

Unfortunately, I bought the phone from AliExpress with no warranty, plus the phone has been opened now. I tried looking for a broken phone to get the motherboard out of it but I couldn't find any, neither locally nor online. If anyone has one, I'd be happy to buy it from them.

Doesn't ship to where I live plus the price is a bit over my budget. Thanks for the recommendation though.

I guess we can assume that the battery is not the issue here as the repairman told me he tried a new battery and it did not work.

Bricked Mi4c stuck at MI logo

Hello everyone, I'm having a problem with my phone and I'm on the verge of just dumping it into the garbage.
My Mi4c screen got broken and I couldn't unlock it anymore, so I could not do a backup or anything similar.
I bought a new screen (from GearBest, supposedly it's original) and handed it to a repair shop here where I live. When I got back, the phone was stuck at the MI logo (it is NOT restarting, it just stays in the MI logo forever) and the guy at the store told me that the screen is not original, hence why it is not working.
I contacted GearBest about this, but of course they don't care and are taking ages just to respond to my messages.
In the meanwhile, I took the phone to another repair shop, which also could not do anything about it.
After this, I used XiaomiFlash to flash the latest stable China release (released yesterday). Nothing different happened, so, after a lot of googling and realising my phone was now boot locked, I flashed the ROM 6.1.7 using an older version of XiaomiFlash and then used Fastboot to unlock the bootloader.
With the ROM 6.1.7 nothing changed though, still stuck at the MI logo, so I kept googling and eventually decided to go for the xiaomi.eu latest ROM (which I believe my phone had some previous version of it installed before).
Used Fastboot and flashed TWRP (version 3.0.2.0) onto the recovery partition, which didn't help, because I still can't go into recovery mode (Vol up + Power button), it always goes either to the MI logo or to the Flashboot (if I do Vol down + Power button).
So this is where I am now, can't go into recovery, already tried 2 different ROMs and my googling powers are running out.
Any ideas?
EDIT
I just found this thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-4c/help/xiaomi-mi4c-stuck-mi-logo-screen-booting-t3444469
I tried to boot up without one of the connectors of the screen (the one on top) and it passed the Mi logo screen!
Does this confirm a problem with the screen? If it is, how can I prove to GearBest that they sent the wrong one? I already sent them some pictures/video and explained the situation a thousand times, but they don't seem to hear me out.
I don't think sites like GearBest or Greekbuying care your problem. As you said above, they are the worst of worst.

Thanks for your reply.
I'm almost sure it's the screen now, because I think I've tried everything else. The only moment where the phone got past the MI logo was when I disconnected the top connector of the screen.
I'll just buy another one from Dragon-TT and will try to get my money back from GearBest (laughable, I know).

My update to this thread:
1. It turns out GearBest sent the incorrect screen after all. After a lot of complaints, they refunded me the value of the screen, but I still lost 50€ on shipping and customs.
2. After that, I bought another screen, this time from Dragon-TT. This sound ridiculous (it is!) but this screen came with the cable cut, so pretty much useless. I also complained a lot with them, but to no good. They suggested that I was not careful with it and that it was my fault or that I was the one cutting the cable (to what purpose I would do that, I still don't know to this day). I lost 35€ more.
3. With both of the stores I sent photos and videos and tried to get my money back or that they would send a new screen. To no avail.
4. Having lost already a lot of money and time, and without knowing if there's any other store to buy (supposedly) original Xiaomi replacement parts, I just bought a new phone.
Wow, you had tons of bad luck. Did you buy another mi4c?

mi4i bootlooping unless connected to charger

I am facing a weird problem where if I try to boot the device then it goes into bootloop just after the mi logo. I've tried using official rom as well as custom roms, but no luck. However, if I connect to charger it will boot with any rom. Even if it boots, if I disconnect from charger then the device will restart after some time of use and again bootloop.
I have checked the battery connector, but it is ok.
Help me please.

Is it original part?
USD 17 seems on the expensive side. On eBay I'm getting it at inr 800 which is approximately USD 13 usd. Should i buy from ebay ??
Can't and won't vouch for the originality, but it looks good, same size and labeling etc with the original one.
By the way, I replaced the battery in a phone service kiosk (unauthorized service center), I already checked with the authorized service center in Indonesia and they said they no longer got mi4i battery in stock, the production is stopped. Don't know if it's true but I'm too lazy to follow up and opted for the unauthorized one.
As for the price, the replacement in the unauthorized service center done in 15 minutes, so I'm happy with the price I paid. If you wanna go DIY and don't mind waiting, sure, just order on ebay. But if you wanna get it done quickly, I suggest you check locally. It's a popular phone, I believe the spare part is easy enough to find.
Good luck and please let us know if replacing the battery solve your problem too!
----- edit
By the way again, by service fee I mean the labor cost for replacing the battery. The battery itself is around USD10 here.

Replace the battery
Hello bro,
I too faced the same bootloop issue. So i took the risk and purchased new battery on ebay.in. and nowy my Mi4i is working fine without any worries. So buy a new battery on ebay.in go for it blindly its original. And you can replace battery on your own just google it how to replace. U need a screwdriver small one and need to just unplug 5-6 connections to replace a new batery thats all....
I too have done the same.
Hope you will get back your phone......

Question Help! Brand new sealed phone won't boot!

Hey there, I just got my new phone today (realme gt neo2 12/256gb edition). Once I got it out of the box.. Powering the device up. It just won't boot.. plugged it to the charger it did boot with 25% battery in there,
That got me confused like. What's wrong happend? Should I get worried and return it or should I keep it? Any advices appreciated
Thanks in advance!
maybe it was just discharged and there is no problem and anyways you can still use your warranty later if you get any. If you have no problems right now just enjoy your new phone

It got me disappointed cause I've never had such a problem with any brand, currently I'm testing the battery usage to make sure it's not damaged or something. I'm getting 4.30hrs screen on time with 50% left. Still I'm kinda worried tho.
I also had this problem when I first received the device, holding the power button and the device did not turn on until the charger was plugged in

I remember the same when I got this device. I believe this is kind of a security mode designed for delivery (to avoid accidental turning on caused by bump). It's more common on laptops.

Question X3 Pro bricked out of nowhere

phone did not exhibit any symptoms of anything inside dying - there were no random restarts, no high temperature, no artifacts on screen, nothing of that sort, it was a 100% perfectly working POCO X3 Pro
I set the phone aside after browsing Twitter, went to sleep, woke up two hours later to a completely dead phone (it was fully charged).
now when I try to power it on, nothing happens, no vibration, no LED, black screen, the phone doesn't respond at all
when I connect it to my PC, it shows up as qusb_bulk_cid:0404_SN:64B80D6C, but nothing else happens.
what should I do to revive it? it's out of warranty already, I bought it when it released here in Poland.
I can't afford to take it for a repair, so I need a solution that will work at home, of course if that's even possible.
thanks

If you bought it in EU, you have 2 years of warranty. They can't just slap a sticker on the package that says "1 year warranty" and enforce it, you are protected by EU laws, send it directly to service centre, cut the middle man that is the seller, quicker this way.

No. You can void your warranty if you damage internal parts of your phone by opening it or actually messing with HW itself, but even then, they would have to prove that it was you that damaged it. If you just opened the back of the phone, you are fine. It's the same **** that vendors that sell prebuilt PCs put a sticker on the case that says 'warranty void if opened", not legal, not enforcable.

right, thank you. I unscrewed things in preparation for trying to heat the chip up, I saw that being the solution on youtube, but ultimately didn't go through with it, so I just put everything back together. no internal damage, everything is just as it was before.
the other issue is - if I send it for repairs, my data is gone, correct? I'm seeing several threads that talk about using tools like https://github.com/bkerler/edl or https://github.com/nijel8/emmcdl to dump partitions, but to be honest, I can't make heads or tails of it. I REALLY want to preserve data if possible

Yea, your phone will be wiped and back to stock, don't know what's wrong with it, maybe your entire motherboard was shorted or something, that might have damaged the data as well, I would just consider it gone.

Power Management Integrated Circuit (PMIC) is bugged and thus causing your hardware to fail. As i read throughout the discussion, just send this to your service center and get the hardware replace. FYI, you already lost your data, and replacing HW require you to wait before unlocking again and doing all this.
Sorry for your lost. Ive been there too
this happend to me too, but my services centre is a scam they void warrenty by saying this phone is water damage and will charge 100$ for mainborad replacement.

i wonder flash in EDL can bring it back to live or not or it actually hardware problem that can not fix untill change mainboard?

literally it's deadboot.
