Help finding a game - General Questions and Answers

I'm really hoping someone can help me as it's been doing my head in for days now. A game I used to play a few years ago, cannot for the life of me remember the name, where you propel yourself through the playing area and absorb the other objects. I know there are a few games out there like this, but just cannot find the one I played.
The look of it was somewhat similar to auralux which is the screenshot I've attached, with all different coloured spheres (I can't remember what they were...stars, cells, bubbles) and you expelled part of your sphere to move yourself around and absorb other smaller spheres, avoiding the larger ones that would absorb you.
Really hoping someone can help me before this pathetic annoyance drives me completely bonkers

Impossible app! Is it true?

i've seen this video on italian blog...in the attachment there is the app but i can' t try it..i ve wm6....is it true??
http://www.wmfans.net/?p=40
It's not true. It's a video and the phone holder just has the timing down. There was another video like this with the X-ray and also had a coca-cola video that tipped like a glass as if you could drink from your phone
you must be kidding that you believed it for a second. it is just recorded. to do that, YOU NEED AN X-RAY MACHINE.
are you sure it is a video? there is an installer app
I didnt even both to watch the video.
But I can tell you that if you remove the IR filter from any webcam / camera you can see through some opaque or dark items. This includes a bottle of coca-cola, and even some clothes. (SONY had to recall a lot of cam corders because the night mode allowed you to see through white shirts in the day time, ie. girls shirts.)
There are a ton of tutorial videos online how to remove these filters. The last one I watched was on Hak.5
It is a definte FAKE. The guys' bone structure and adipose tissues does not match the Xray screen viewer. Definitely FAKE.
Maybe you don't include that camera isn't located in the center of screen. But I haven't tested it, I don't know is it real.

Capellone85, where the heck sei andato a pescarla, questa?
IT Fake
Its Fake Some People Actualy Fall IT its a swf flash file haha.
the timing on the movement is out and the bone structure as mentioned was way off
It is probably a video file being played.. i have seen another one pretty well done with a little girl.. almost had be thinking it could be real but then my common sense kicked in
I have one a bit like that on my PDA. Not quite as sophisticated but still impresses people for about half a second till they figure it out.
Got it from here: http://freewareppc.com/misc/xray.shtml
edit: just noticed that post #7 has the actual one from the video
here is a whole bunch of such apps
http://www.youtube.com/mobiletricks
thx so much for answer
I have used this one a long before, its just a video that runs, & u have to adjust the movement like wise.

The drink ones work on some devices like the HTC diamond, iphone, n95 and many others due to the the built in Accelerometer.
The xray as stated above is a flash vid but looks good if you time it right.
had my daughter believing my touch was an uber fone for weeks with that xray
Look at the guys left hand. It looks like he has this mapped to the button his thumb is on. Right before it moves, it looks like there's more stress as if he's pushing the button

Camera App Idea

I've been looking for a app to do this and cant find it. Basically the situation is this, I'm a painter (interior) and like to post before and after pics. The thing is that it it impossible to get the angle right to do it close enough to exact same location. I'm thinking it wouldn't be difficult to somehow use that panoramic effect the camera already has to overlap the before and after images. Anyway if you could develop this app the loads of money would probably roll in for you. Thanks for looking!
From my understanding it would be very difficult to have a app do this as it is all down to perspective (as you say same place, same angle etc).
If it was me I would create a mount to hold the phone (or buy one),
-I'd go for a piece of wood with a cheap phone holder on top
-Add a couple of cheap spirit levels - to get the rig level
-The height from the ground would be set by the mount
So with the above you've got the height, and angles (of the phone/camera) fixed.
Then if you didn't want to do it by eye, I'd add a mounting point for a laser tape measure to get your distance from a couple of fixed points.
And then take a couple of pics and when you've finished your work, go back in use the laser to get the correct point in the room, then level the mount, and take your after pics.
A bit hashed together I admit, but I can see no reason why it wouldn't give you what you needed.
Thats pretty much what I'm doing to be honest I'm just kinda standing in the same spot and shooting the pics. Think about it though the panorama photo does this already. I just want to use a previous photo as a transparent template to shoot over which would take much less time and give me better results. I understand your answer and appreciate the effort but for me as a painter to to take the time to set up a contraption to hold the camera, take measurements then take it all down to paint the room then set it up again takes too much time and time is MONEY. That's why I want an app to do it for me quickly.
Thanks a lot for the input though I'm still working on it.
Any idea where I might post this to get more views or is that frowned upon?

[APP] [GAME]Spaghetti Marshmallows

Just started playing this. Found it by accident in the market. Give it a lookup. Works great on my Magic. Really addictive and fun. Stuck on those Friggin' Frogs. Any tips from fellow S&Mers. (UCWIDT?) ;-)
Sent from my HTC Magic using XDA App
Love it, great game, recommended

This is a great game, played it in the pub the other night.
I got past the frog by building a structure to the left of him and then over balencing it to fall over his head, just be careful of where you place those marshmellows on the tower coz he will eat them if you place them when it falls on his head.
Great added features would be if you could use the GSensor to affect gravity on the levels and also to be able to delete a mellow placed in the wrong place.

I got round it by building two structures, one either side and slightly balanced into the centre of the screen, then when they start falling I quickly linked them together, then added a spire to reach the circle in the middle.
Most likely many easier ways to get round it though... just keep trying
I saw this game recently and figured it would be to frustrating so I never tried it. right now Im hook on Angry Birds. I just hate that I started playing it so late.
thanks for recommended , i'm downloading it :x
Cheers for the tips. Didn't get anywhere with the single tower. Kept having it fall over and losing my marshmallows.
The two towers style worked for me though.
Onward and Upwards!!!!
I bought the full version of marshmallows. It's pretty sweet I just wish they would include an optional lower frame rate limit instead of running it at 60fps since it does drain the battery quite fast.
Does anyone know how that black box works???
Im stuck on "bounce back" because i dont know how to activate it it happened by luck in previous levels...
I love this game, I hope the dev adds more levels.
On the frogs, they only eat the marshmallows, so if you extend a spaghetti down to rest on the ground next to it you can support a structure right over the frog. you can beat this level with no marshmallows touching the ground if you drop a marshmallow from the air and quickly prop it up with spaghetti.
For the black boxes, suspend a marshmallow from spaghetti so it covers the triangle at the top. A candy will drop out of the bottom.

you have to place a marshmallow in front of it. I usually have a piece of spaghetti up to it and place a marshmallow on the end so it is in the black box area to activate it.
Here is a an easy base for friggin frogs and bounce back.

Ahh right, thanks!
Im done with that level... im now stuck on the level with 2 black boxes! Think its level 21 or summin.
I get the candy from the first box to roll down the slope and over the other box and nothing happens, it just drops past. Sometimes another candy will pop out from the second box... probably from a marshmallow being too close to it.
Any1 know how to beat this level?

its a fun game a little hard though!
Very fun and addictive game.
thanks for the post, i like it!
I adore this game. Bought it right away. I keep looking for a port of the The Incredible Machine series, but this will keep me busy. I'm on Cliffhanger now and can't help laughing every time it comes crumbling down.
Just finished it this morning
came across the lite version a couple days ago, couldn't stop playing it so frustrating but addicting. Passed the lite, so I bought the full version just finished it and I do have screen shots. Man do the levels get hard. Just wait till you get to Airborn and Starship levels there's..... OK OK I'm not gonna give it away, but be patient and try to stabilize your structures as much as possible.
can wait for new levels.... in the mean time going to start from the beginning
Great game. I like going back to level 1, quickly finishing and then going into Build-More mode. From there I see how high of a structure I can build before it falls to pieces.
Good ideas for the frog level. I ended up building two off-balance towers on ether side of them and as they fell pinning them together. The structure held just long enough for me to get the target...then they ate it
very fun... gameplay vid for anyone who wants to see what it looks like http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vvQjYpD_DpI

GTA 3 Bomb Da Base & Other Tricky Missions

Hi there,
Not sure if this is the correct place but.........
Having big problems with Bomb Da Base Act 2 level.
Basically, the sniper controls are very slow and dont move quick enough to hit the targets in time, has anyone got any tips on how to do it?
I had the same problem with this mission, but mentioned to pass it by shooting of the top of the building. At this building you are closer to the ship and you have a beter overview.
You can get on top of this building using the stairs in front of the ship.
I hope this helps for you!
Dont stand on the roof (2nd floor), stand on the flat part when you are going up the stairs (1st floor), that way you take out the 2 guys at the bottom and then you are level with the rest of the bad guys and all you have to do is only move your scope left to right and shoot, this helps you from having to waste time looking up and down.
I literally tried EVERYTHING just now. If you park on top of 8 Ball he respawns when you look away. Tried going in guns/flamethrower blazing with 100 armor, still died.
I found that not bothering with a sniper rifle and simply storming the ship with an uzi was much easier. Haven't done it on my Sensation because that is way too laggy (any help fixing that is appreciated, but I guess this isn't the right topic for that), but it seemed to work very well on my brothers 4S.
hi,
i just did it on my iphone. here it is how i did
When you go into the shipyard and drop off 8-ball, the mission is "on hold" until you fire a shot (or get too close to the ship). So just head back the way you came to the entrance of the shipyard. Off to the side, there are a number of crew trailers. In the center of them, you can grab a pill to slow time. Pick it up and sprint along the side of the big blue warehouse (don't worry, the guards can't see you from that distance). At the opposite corner of the warehouse, there is a staircase you can climb up and around to the roof. Sprint up to the top, ready a sniper rifle, and take out the dozen guards from left to right to give 8-ball a clear path. He is unarmed, so you need to eliminate them in that order. You should have enough "bullet time" to easily take out all of the guards even if a few shots miss.
nice one for that - will give it a go later!
Been waiting for controls to be available for the phonejoy before i re-attempted but reckon i might not need to anymore!

[GAME][2.2.3+] Particles

Hi.
Im not new to forum, but on the other hand I havent contributed much..
But hey, sometime ot to be your first
I've made a gam for android and I would like some opinons, tips, device checks and bug reports.
Only if you have some time to spare of course
Here's the link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.daskaktus.particles
Thank you!
It can be a good game. It almost never detects my fingers. It is hard to see the particles when I have 2 or 3 fingers on the screen (sometimes one finger). The main screen is hatsto navigate also. It is a good concept, but not executed well enough. Keep updating, I'm sure it will get better.
"Give a man a fish you feed him for a day, teach him to fish, you feed him for a lifetime." In other words help others find an answer don't just give it to them.
Thank you for some feedback.
Yes I know that the menu could be more inutiattive, I will work on it some more.
And I too think it's hard to se the particles when my fingers are on the screen, but I guess the larger the screen, the easier it gets.
I'm currently noticed that on high resolution screens the particles and the player ball becomes small and hard to move so this i'm currently working on.
Other than that all I can say is, get thinnner fingers
