[Completed] Root help for Phablet Asus Fone Pad 7

Hi everyone! So I have a Asus Fone Pad 7 that I would like to root. The bootloader is locked and I need to unlock the bootloader to be able to access root privileges. I've ran basically all the "easy root" programs, King Root, One Click, Framaroot , towel root, etc including Zenfone root kit. I've done so much reading and either im doing something wrong with the process (which I don't believe I am, considering I've gained root access with my Galaxy Grand Prime) or its just impossible? Which I don't believe it is, possibly because the popularity of the phone it may not be out there the way it is for other phones? I read Asus provided root access but when you call Customer Service all they said is that they 'provided' a bootloader unclocker, which is a toolkit. And at that they deny it unless you mention you read they do then they will continue to help you. I think it also depends on the representative? I spoke with 1 guy and he was in the process of providing the toolkit until my phone lost service. Everyone else I've spoken to says the don't recommend it and can't help me and remind me it'll void my warranty. Im lost and confused but I know it is possible! So if anyone would happen to know how or could help me figure out how to unlock the bootloader I would greatly appreciate it! That's the only thing I need. On my developer options it doesn't give me the option to unlock the bootloader like it does in my Galaxy Grand a prime when I'm in developer mode

rooting galaxy j4+/sm-j415gn without oem unlock

Hello. i am trying to root my phone so i can recover files that i have lost. I have tried several softwares and most of them needed my phone to be rooted. I do not want to unlock my oem locker as a factory reset may overwrite some deleted data.
i have seen some rooting apps such as kingo root and king root so i was wondering if it was perfectly fine using these apps on my phone.
thanks!
It's basically IMPOSSIBLE to root the phone without unlocking the bootloader without exploits. And no king root does not support the J4+
Do you know any exploits I should use?

Question Samsung root warranty query

I currently switched from OP7P to S22 ultra. In OP7P I can unlock bootloader and then when required I can just take it back to stock without any sign if bootloader was ever unlocked. Now in Samsung I was reading it is not same, once bootloader is unlocked it is for forever!
My 2 questions :
1. There is no way to make it stock like bootloader was never unlocked?
2. Suppose I unlock bootloader and root it, later if I face any problem and would like to avail warranty service, and lock bootloader again and unroot it will Samsung not provide me warranty service? Even if it is hardware issue? Anyone had personal experience with warranty after unlocking bootloader once?
1. No
2. depends on the country you are in i think

Unlocking the bootloader on Samsung triggers a feature that's built into the phone called Samsung KNOX
Once it detects the change its permanent and will void your warranty

1: If you root your device currently there is no way. So far no one has been able to bypass KNOX.
2: In some countries, local laws force Samsung to provide warranty services to rooted devices as well. But unfortunately this is not the case everywhere.
What about in EU, Poland?
Or in India?
Any idea? Or any personal experience?

I can’t tell you what the situation is in those countries, but I would suggest ask several sources.
I inquired at a local Samsung dealer about the warranty in a country where according the local law Samsung should give minimum 1 year warranty to any device they sell in the country even if the device will be rooted.
Despite this the local representative of Samsung claimed that the warranty is void if someone would root the device.
On a local forum however I read that there was someone who took back a rooted device with some hardware related issue and eventually Samsung had to replace the device because the local law.
Hey @vvvvv5 were you able to find out if you can claim hardware warranty in the countries you mentioned above.
My S22 Ultra is having a minor hardware issue.

Question New, unopened S22 Ultra - Is it rootable?

Hi - We just received a brand new S22 Ultra, and I haven't powered it up.
I read online that the S22 Ultra was rootable if you didn't take any updates (There was mention of KingoRoot, which I would prefer to avoid for security).
Is there still a (safe) root method available for the S22 Ultra?
And if "yes", would somebody please point me in that direction?
Thanks!

If you mean is there a way to root without losing warranty? No, you will lose warranty if you root from my understanding (there are trips that cannot be reversed). But someone more experienced can chime in, they might know better.
Warranty Schmarranty!
No, by "safe" I want to make sure I don't have to follow 43 cryptic steps (18 of which are missing), hold my crotch, spin 3 times, spit behind my computer, turn the phone back on, only to find that my brand-new phone is permanently bricked.
Oh - and not use KingoRoot, since I remember that they were pretty dicey as far as whether they may be installing malware onto your device.
Depends on which S22 ultra you have. The United States Snapdragon is not rootable..no bootloader unlock. Would help if you gave more info about your device.
I got mine earlier, hoping it would have one of the big exploits they'd been talking about. But unfortunately, it arrived with the updates that patched them preinstalled. Sold it and bought an oversees one.

Sorry, about that - I didn't know that there are two models of the S22U. It's the first Samsung phone I have purchased in over a decade, I didn't know that they do that.
I got it for a pretty decent price on an Amazon Prime Day deal. I didn't have much time to research about the S22U before buying it (other than the many good reviews). I was planning on getting a Pixel 6 Pro originally, but it was a mixed bag so I didn't go that route.
I had read online that it was rootable during my quick searches, I didn't see that it was only applicable to the global version.
There's about 6 or so models of the S22 Ultra. The US versions are not rootable, nor will they be.

Question Is Temporary Root possible? And does it invalidate warranty?

Hello, is there a way to temporary root my Poco X3 Pro? I only need it because I need to recover some files that have been deleted (I used that "private file" setting on Mi File Manager but they disappeared after some days). I tried using apps that didn't require root but no results.
And if it is possible, does it invalidate warranty anyway? I would like to use root only for that purpose, but if it cause problems to the warranty it's better not to do it.
Thank you in advance for your answers.

To root, bootloader need to be unlocked. Will also loose all data like a factory reset during unlock process.
Unlock bootloader does not invalidate Xiaomi/Redmi/Poco warranty in many countries and region. Check Xiaomi/Redmi/Poco policy in your country or region where the phone is bought yourself to confirm.
Root with Magisk in most Xiaomi/Redmi/Poco phones are reversible, including Poco X3 Pro.

Thank you very much, pl1992aw.
Root for Xiaomi/Poco policy doesn't seem to be a problem here in Italy.
Very helpful, thanks again.
