Question Android 12 to 11 - Samsung Galaxy S21+

How to downgrade Samsung 21+ devices from One UI 4.0 (Android 12) to One UI 3.1 (Android 11) via Odin.

I'm looking for the same answer. It's been a long time.. Like 8-10 years since I've rooted or modified a Samsung phone through Odin..
Idk if I can just download the android 11 firmware, unlock bootloader, and flash in Odin or if I first need root access..
Android 12 blows

Yes please. Android 12 is atrocious.
Edit: It's downgradeable ez pz. Just download the latest Android 11 and flash via Odin. I have the Exynos version.

is android 12 really that bad? im using HK set, so no update for me yet.

I'd wait for a few more iterations before upgrading, so they smoothen things out a bit. The interface will stay ugly tho. "Material you" or whatever it's called is the most atrocious thing ever, especially the dark theme. I'll never upgrade to 12, I already disabled the automatic updates.

I have Android 12 and I didn't find much difference from Android 11 in my normal use, just some little bugs on 12 but that's it.

Can be downgraded, but I suggest you to wait some days before doing that, sometimes on nougat takes a while till battery autonomy gets better
The only way to downgrade from nougat to marshmallow is to flash BL+AP+CSC+CP files via latest version of Odin.

What actually drains your battery..?
Take a look... Maybe it better to do a factory reset and see if it helps... Phone works better with 7.0...
Anyway, if you wanna downgrade to 6.0.1, download latest 6.0.1 firmware for a region you are currently running, and flash it with odin...

That's tough to answer.....it's all a manner of opinion really. I had slightly better SOT though in emui 5 (since its running Android Nougat) where as emui 8 us Android Oreo. Truthfully I flashed an AOSP ROM after I upgraded to emui 8 because once you go to emui 8 / Android Oreo, it enables treble support. I'm not a big fan of emui in the first place though. However, the AOSP ROM's are newer so they are still wip when it comes to working 100% for the huawei mate 9.
May I ask what custom ROM you are using? And how do you find it? What's your SOT?

Download firmware from http://pro-teammt.ru/firmware-database/ (if available) and unpack update.app from update.zip
Open update.app in Huawei Update Extractor and extract ramdisk.img, this is the boot image file that magisk manager needs to patch.

I'm currently using fRomFuture, and truthfully i was gonna get oreo the install RR (assuming it can work with my model). My screen on time is around 4-5 hours. If you're willing id appreciate some help on the process cause installing roms and stuff on huawei is not my strong point

Okay... Sorry for the delay.
You'll obviously have to go back to stock first. And then hisuite should work to upgrade to Oreo. Just trying to think what the best way to return to stock would be for your model version and get you upgraded to Oreo.
i see this requires Microsoft Windows. i only have Linux. any suggestions?

Too late... unless you've got a bootloader unlock code before July 24. Did you? I'll guess not, hence...no root for you, enjoy GPU Turbo and Pie (whenever that comes).

honor kiw-l21 official android update

I have a honor kiw-l21 phone it has build kiw-l21c432b350 on emui 4.0 android 6.0.1. the thing is i need to update the version of android, since my banking app no longer supports android versions lower than 7. i have searched your site for a version of android that is 7 or grater. is there an official version to meet my requirement. I noticed that there is is a develeper version called lineageOS 17.1 is that my only solution or is there an official one i can use.
Updates get automatically rolled out by OEM/carrier if they consider it necessary.
What you mean is to upgrade your existing Android. This is never done by OEM/carrier.
IMO to upgrade to Android version 7 or higher you have to flash a corresponding Custom ROM like LineageOS.
But I may err, as always ...

You need to use test point method that needs opening your phone's back cover and that is kinda a pain for noobs. Need some research on your phone.

Samsung Galaxy S10e Downgrade 11-10 or even 9?

Hello dear XDA forum friends, I have one question, I was Apple user for a long time and I got Galaxy s10e.
Its a nice phone but it dont work well on Android 11, battery drain fast, phone is to hot and more and more..
I was wondering if I can downgrade it back to 9 or at least 10?
Long time ago I remember I used to flash custom ROMS and downgrade old Android phones but looks like now if they lock Bootloader you stack where you are.
So here are some infos:
One UI Version 3.1
Android 11
Baseband Version G970FXXSBFUE6
Kernel Version 4.14.113-21644994
Build number RP1A.200720.012.G970FXXSBFUF3
Knox 3.7 API level 33 TIMA 4.1.0 DualDAR 1.3.0
Service provider software version SAOMC_SM-970F_ODX_CRO_RR_0008 CRO/DHR,CRO/CRO
Welcome to XDA
Congratulations on ditching the sour Apple.
Post on that device's forum for best results.
The firmware you have probably also upgraded the boot loader version which may make it impossible to down grade. I'm have zero experience flashing these so I may be mistaken or a workaround.
Try a factory reset unless you already have after the upgrade or if you used SmartSwitch to transfer data from another model.
I've tried to downgrade even an Exynos phone- sadly Odin couldn't do it due to bootloader
Nope, the last update that would have allowed you to downgrade to Android 10 came out back in February

FWIW, I have a T-Mobile S22 Ultra that I fully flashed to the US Unlocked version (XAA) & the Samsung Members app still recognizes it as a T-Mobile device.
As I mentioned in another thread, I am on the One UI 5 Beta, so, I can guess that the T-Mobile &/or US Unlocked versions are currently open to the Beta & AT&T isn't (as of August 7,2022).
Did you end up manually flashing the Beta via ADB?
