WiFi turns off every now and then causing my lights to turn off

Hah strange topic I know. So here's the story:
I had a Galaxy S5, Telldus Live Net, Remotestick and Tasker. Telldus Live Net was connected to my lights, Remotestick was connected to Telldus Live and finally Tasker was watching my WiFi connection.
This means that whenever my WiFi connection dropped, my lights would turn off. So If I left my home, and lost WiFi connection, lights would turn off.
But an update to my Galaxy S5 made the WiFi connection to drop every now and then causing my lights to turn off when I was still home. I had hoped the Galaxy S7 would not have this problem, but alas it does.
I doubt there are many others out there that does what I do with Remotestick but I thought I'd create a Q&A about it for reference purposes. I have a link to an old video that explains what I did with Tasker:

Wifi sharing bypass Airplane Mode?

So we all know that there's Wifi Sharing capability on the s8.
I want to know if there's a way to bypass needing to be in Radio ON mode. The reason I say this is because, I want to use this on the plane. I want to be able to buy one internet access plan on the flight then be able to share the connection through Wifi Sharing. But the issue is that we cannot share wifi in Airplane mode?
I have the dual sim version on the phone. I figured keeping airplane mode off and going into the settings to turn off data in SIM1 and GPS would be ideally the same as airplane mode. Is this true? Or is there something we can tweak to use wifi sharing while in airplane mode?
Why do you feel that you need to have airplane mode turned on? Just enable wifi sharing and forgetaboutit.
I'd say because the phone gets crazy hot and if you're not tethered to a battery pack, you won't last an hour with the screen off.

Instablity when connected to wifi

I have the 12GB RAM model ordered from OnePlus direct.
I have a TMO sim installed. It works great.
However when connected to wifi, it will periodically reset where I have to unlock the phone, wifi connection is lost and phone shows no sim. The LTE connection resumes but wifi remains disconnected. It will work fine like this until I reconnect to wifi then in seconds to a minute or so the process repeats. It's annoying AF as one can imagine. I turned off wifi calling but it still does it. Any ideas?
I'm on the latest build. I want to make sure I don't have a defective phone before I root, etc.
EDIT: This should have been posted in the questions section, can a mod move it?
Just an update. I thought this was solved by connecting only to 5GHz AC Wave2 APs with 80MHz channel width instead of 160. Then this AM it starts resetting. Both cell service and wifi go poof then cell service (LTE) comes back and the wifi radio is turned off. Turning the wifi radio back on will trigger it again sometimes in 10 seconds, sometimes after a few minutes. Very annoying!
Did you get this figured out?

S8+ does not reconnect to WiFi when screen is off

This seems to be an issue on other android phones as well but none of the treads on google have found a solution.
I'm not even sure this is a flaw, might be like this by design...
Whenever I come home with my WiFi turned on, the phone will not connect until the moment I turn the screen on.
It never disconnects when it is already connected.
WiFi always on is turned on. I do not use data.
Running Oreo but same thing happens in Pie.
Anyone willing to test whether theirs acts the same? Any solutions?
Thanks!

Question Watch 4 issue

My watch 4 has the following issue: even when connected in bluetooth, it still "thinks" to be disconnected, and therefore it turns on Wi-fi and LTE, draining a HUGE amount of battery in the process. The only way to stop this insanity is to turn off both Wifi and LTE. Why is this auto feature not working? I tried resetting the watch but nothing changed. And it's not related to the LTE plan as the issue is present also when LTE is off or not set. Any thoughts?
