I am a little new and don't really know about this subject but :
I purchased a new phone : a Gome K1.
This is not tablet but phone. This is a new brandt. This a MTK (MT6757).
For the story, it came to me with chinese ROM, all menus in chinese
I asked to the seller to give me a ROM with playstore and french. They done it.
I flashed their new ROM with a proprietary flash tool. Now I have a android 6 ROM with Playstore, french menus. Well !
But I'd like to know if there is a way to root it, and install a TWRP :
The ROM came with bootloader locked and no recovery. It is entirely blocked.
No way to unlock bootloader via the general way (fastboot oem unlock --> unknown command)
I read some articles that deal with spflashtool and porting TWRP, but I'm new to this and I don't think I will be able to make all these steps correctly to flash a TWRP ...
Does someone has an idea ?

Yes I tried everything, after enabling unknown source, OEM unlocking and USB Debugging developer options :
- All root apks
- all existing root kits using ADB
- Method with a linux distro to access Phone filesystem as root ( cannot see my phone ... )
Now I'm trying to use SP flashtool last version, but even that cannot correctly access the phone to Readback my recovery : there is BROM error, so I think that phone is not compatible with the phone (seen on a forum ...)
So if someone has an idea, he is welcome

When I contacted them, they send me a non rooted custom ROM which embed Google Apps and All language, AND another flash tool.
This flash tool seems to be based on SP flash tool. It seems to have restrictions (no readback ability ...).
I'm not able to backup anything with this tool or with SP flash tool.
Whis spflashtool, when clicking ReadBack, I power off my phone, and plug USB cable.
It begins the process but I immediatly encounter a BROM error :
ERROR: status_brom_cmd_send_da_fail (0xC0060003)
I read a post which indicate to try to plug usb cable when pressing Power plus Volume Up, but I don't think it can work, because I know that their tool works without that operation.
So now I'm still stuck here. Does someone have an idea ?

On the Russian forum 4pda, the topic GOME K1 we are also discussing and trying to solve the problem of a locked bootloader. So far no results. ROOT is also not yet possible to get.
I've also ported twrp for GOME K1, but there's no point in installing it until the bootloader is unlocked. Otherwise we will get a brick.

In Developer options there is a setting to unlock bootloader, it's the third toggle down.

No, it's not working. This switch does not affect the boot loader state.

I was successful in flashing custom ROM that vendor uploaded for me.
So I thing I can flash just the recovery with their tool. I'm not an expert, so I'm just a little affraid to follow a guide to port a TRWP for Gome K1 and try to flash it, since it can brick the phone.
If you want, I can't send you a copy of their tool they sent to me (SPMultiPortFlashDownloadProject.exe) ...

Thank you, but I already have this tool. As I wrote before flashing TWRP we need to unlock the bootloader. While this is not impossible to do. But one of our users on 4pda is going to ask the manufacturer to unlock bootloader. In case of success, I will inform you.

could you please post here what is the procedure you took to flash the rom. Seller sent me with multi language rom. i want to downgrade the rom to its original one. I used your tools in the windows 10 lap. and also in the windows 7 lap but it was useless. I am going to try the procedure in the windows 8.1 lap. can you tell me exactly how you flash your phone with that tool ?

but have some issues with my new Gome K1 >> the GPS doesn't work proper for Google Maps / Waze, it doesnt show accurate position most of the time, but it seems work well with "offline GPS" (but offline GPS most of the time not able to find location that I ahead for meeting). Any recommendation/solution?

After some time ... is there any news about his root? I wouldn' t like to change the rom, but just do the root thing would be useful ..... tks
i've disabled the google app in the settings and now the phone is stuck on boot logo... any ideas how to fix this?

This solution not work for me! My devices was bricked but PC still recognize EDL 9008 Com port. When press flash, Miflash said: "cannot receive hello packet"

They replace the motherboard. All people that i know of who have visited service center got their motherboard replaced

After a while I see only EDL working via testpoint on back cover. Now am stuck between two option to pay 30$ for auth. account or find emmc file.
I know nothing is free but i will try to find emmc firehose mbn file. If anyone have idea where can find be kind to share with me. Thanks in advance!

No, no light, no vibration - nothing. Only EDL via testpins work, but need auth. account for flash. I think have another way to revive. I will wait some guru to see this thread.

This happend to me also i searched whole internet but sadly their is no firehose file for our violet available to bypass edl auth. I suggest the best way to reach nearest service center they flash it with mi flash via testpoints and its cheap not so coastly. Dont try to flash by your side alone u may trash ur partition tables situations may get worse.

Yes they are scamers and they use TeamViewer which may lead to hack your computer. So better is to rush on service center. Those good old days of redmi phones will never come back they are imposing more and more restrictions to devices.

my phones is also dead ....was trying to get back to miui 11 (android 9)from covrvus 6.5(android 10) because no sensors were working in corvus !
i got miui 11 but wifi was not working and sensors too ! tried flaashing many fastboot roms from offical miui sites but non of them fixed senors and wifi ! ...then tried flashing with old miflashtool probably 2014 version ... then flash system error came while flashing fastboot rom violet ....
then phone got switched off automaticaly ! and never started since then !
i looked up everything flashing with edl mode !
in miflashtool
earlier when bootloader it was showing "ceeee0ccc0" device name
now in miflashtool it is showing "COM20" or"COM10"
when i am flashing fastboot rom latest one with latest flashtool
it is showing "packet receive something something..." call paket ...etc
some time it shows "edl auth " then it ask to sign in my account after login ..
"Your Acount is bined to this system " but later ""Your account is not authorised for this operation !"
and hence the flashing stops with error !

Bro sadly there is no firehose file for violet. I had same issue earlier only solution is to go service center. They flash in edl takes just 10 mins charge around 180 rupees. U may try flashing via umt dongle or miracle thunder but i never recommendes that.
My RN7pro got also dead, I had to pay 1200rs to revive this phone by local mobile repairer. They flash it with UFI box. I made mistake no to go authorised service center. That technician looted me.

I'm not new to modding however it has been a couple of years since I last installed custom roms on my phone (Way back Android 6.0 days) and based on experience, unbricking has always been easy and accessible.
But with my new Poco X3 Pro, I read that Xiaomi requires Authorized Account when flashing with EDL. I've seen in some forums that some managed to patch the Firehose (Loader) file of other Xiaomi devices. Hence, I'm asking if there would ever be a possibility that someone could patch a Firehose file to bypass Auth.

This kinda confused me a bit after downloading the official firmware. As far as I know (correct me if I'm wrong) our device should be SM8150 (not sure if it is SM8150AC) but I'm confused as to why it ks SM7150 in the firmware of our device.
But regardless, it would be nice if someone is able to modify the firehose file to no longer require authorization when it comes to flashing through edl.
It would be nice to save a lot of bricked Poco X3 Pros in the community without having people be at risk of getting scammed by "people with auth accounts."

I've been really busy with school lately and can't really focus efforts on understanding the programmer file, let alone patching them. Wish someone would take a dip into patching it (which is difficult as the flash tool checks for the signatures of the programmer file).

You Can Request Bootloader Unlock and after 7 days unlock your phone you can flash everything in fastboot mode.
as alternative i can suggest you Xiaomi Pro tool it cost 5 credits and flash what you want to your phone

This is 64-bit arm ELF static stripped executable with vxworks RTOS signature, maybe it executed in that OS. It will be rather hard to understand how it works. I think firstly you need to get symbols names from vxworks symbol table, which is included in firehose, according to binwalk output
But still there can be firehose verification on the phone side(likely there is, because I cant load edited firehose with one edited byte in one of strings)

it depends on the exact case. For ex. if integrity of low-level systems such as chain loaders is broken, you MUST flash all this things in edl mode and then you will be able to boot to fastboot and flash other components

Recently i hard bricked my newly released and bought Xiaomi Redmi 12c (earth) and it was a hard brick i mistakenly flashed preloader ( with sp flash-tool) while trying to unbrick it when it was still in a soft brick, so i didn't know what to do i went all over the internet i read forums threads all of that went on telegram some services were asking for 15USDT for xiaomi auth edl verification, so after i tried everythinh nothing worked i almost gave up until i gave mtkclient-main ( https://github.com/bkerler/mtkclient ) (check out this youtube guide on how to set it up

after i ran this command everything changed the preloaoder that wa bricked came back to normal and i unlocked the device bootloader without using the official app to unlcok again caise it said i cannot unlock twice in a month the tool i used was from technobuzz.net it worked perfectly i could not recommend it enough link of website- https://www.technobuzz.net/unlock-bootloader/ or better still watch their video on youtube on how they did it
the bootloader unlock file and drivers are attached here so you should stress your self in looking for it
and i flashed my STOCK ROM on my device with mi flash since you needed an unlocked bootloader to flash.
