LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 11, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

Thank you. I have been using 18.1 since tuesday and i noticed no problems so far. GAPPS nano for A11 works fine with this build.

Hi! Can you confirm this build supports DriveDroid? It's an app that allows you to transform your phone into an emulated USB drive for iso and drive purposes. It's really great and I've been missing this functionality a lot.

Hi, thank you for maintaining this rom. I was wondering if you or anyone can help. I have a problem with delayed notifications when the screen is off. I have been notified of receiving SMS messages 11 and 3 minutes after they where sent. Facebook messenger messages delayed. Twitter notifications delayed. Discord direct messages / notifications delayed.
I have tried, Settings > Apps > ‘app name’ > advanced > battery > battery optimisation = Not optimised, and it does not fix the problem. Neither did factory reset, wipe, reflash rom and gapps and using ‘adb shell dumpsys deviceidle whitelist +com.facebook.mlite’. Using mobile data only or wifi only, for app notifications does not make a difference.
The notification delays only seem to occur when the screen is off. If I am using the phone or if I enable ‘caffeine’ or developer option ‘screen will never sleep while charging’ the notifications are instant. Or if I use Ambient display pulse notifications on pick-up or unlock the phone I am notified of messages received xx minutes ago.
I now have missed notification anxiety and check every 5 minutes , it’s just not practical. Thanks.

Observed the following issues on Lineage 18.1 for Redmi Note 6 pro -
i) YouTube opens but nothing loads inside the app. SImilar problem observed with Discord
ii) Occasionally the screen doesn't go to stand by mode. The phone has to be manually locked in order for the screen to switch off

No problem with youtube or stand by on my phone. I have noticed however that sometimes notification shade will come down for a moment as if i swiped down. Also in low light environment brightness will sometimes jump to high value only to come back down again after half a second.

I have exactly the same problem. Can someone help?

Should i do format `internal storage` ? and should i have to have Lineage Official signed recovery ? because it keeps looping back to the recovery using TWRP official latest release.

Alright, i have flashed the lineage official recovery, did factory reset (which formats everything inclu. the file system encryption) and flashed the ROM via adb sideload.
It didn't work with the official twrp recovery, the recovery need to be signed by the lineage official team.

First of All, thabks for the Rom. I really appreciatr it that we got official Lineage of that old Thing
But still got some questions:
Anyone Know which gcam apk is workin with this Rom?
Can i reflash twrp afterwards? (Tried it once, but it didnt Booted in twrp)
Also Anyone Else got issues whit the Selfie camera?
When i change the settings to 16:9 (2,1 Megapixel)
It crashes automatically with the error message: Open camera ID =5
Until i reset all settings (wipe the data of the camera)

Hey there, thanks for Lineage
My Fingerprint Scanner is not working, it did in MIUI so I think the Hardware is ok.
If this is a known Problem, excuse me, it's been a while since I have been here.
Hope there is a solution?
Rest is working very well!
Thanks in advance
Thomas

everything is stock, no mods flashed or installed. phone is not rooted.
any solution?

Hello sir, when 19.1 ? I want build, can you help me?

So, end of october 2022, is all ok on this ROM ?
Can I use directly the last 18.1 nightly over Xiaomi.eu ROM ?
With last Gapps...

Installed it yesterday. Coming from latest global stock.
Everything is smooth and working well.
Also rooted with magisk.
No bugs found so far.

Is this device going to get official 19.1 support?

I'm happy to see new builds for our device. Right now I'm downloading RR build....Omni works also good.
Thank you very much!
Hi,
i have a few questions:
- Is magisk working or howto root?
- Where are the source code?
- Are gapps included?
- Is front and rear camera working?
- Is OTA update supported?
Thank you!
Unlocked bootloader and had my first go with playing with the h9.
Magisk install was straightforward enough, no real instructions just found 368 ramdisk and patched that and fastboot flashed it.
Gapps is baked in
OTA don't know.
Camera is not that reliable with huawei camera and standard camera which is a pity. Currently trying some carmera from the play store and am having better results

Thanks. Perhaps you can try this camera for huawai treble devices: https://forum.xda-developers.com/pr.../huawei-stock-camera-app-treble-roms-t3735169
OTA is not so important, but a nice addon.
@OldDroid Any reasons why the source code is not public?

I still had issues with open camera force closing. Simple camera seems to be working fine for me currently. Also noticed NFC appears to be disabled
Hi,
i installed the rr beta 2 rom yesterday. Camera works for me. No problems yet. OTA is not available, but that no big problem.
I disabled the softkeys, but found no settings to configure the hardware keys. Default settings are:
left key: back
right key: recent apps
middle key(fingerprint sensor): nothing
How can i change the hardware key settings?
Then i noticed that wlan sometimes automatically disable if screen turns off.
Just flashed RROS Beta 2 and play store wasn't installing any apps. I restarted my phone to see if it would fix the issue and now i'm stuck with "android is loading" with a loading bar. Anyone else had this issue?

Yes. I had it. Problems is, that no launcher app (trebuchet for example) is set and in my case i couldn't set it because the list was empty.
Try to swipe from top and enter settings and set start app. If your list is empty too, only factory reset helps for me.

Hi,
 @OldDroid or others
The changelog for RR beta 3 says:
added better support for H9 hw keys, the fps gestures now match up with emui gesture behaviour by default – long press fps: assistant – short press: home

but the middle hardware key (fingerprint sensor) doesn't work for home or assistant. If touch nothing happens. Is this a bug or i missed a configuration?
Thank you

Thank you! Now it works as expected. You should enabled it by default and/or make it searchable by the settings search box
The only think i noticed that wifi sometimes disconnects if screen is off. If screen is turned on you can see wifi connects again.
Does anybody use Omnirom? Is NFC functional? I can switch it on but nonfunctional.
After a major derp with Magisk on my previous Rom, and since I had to reset my whole device, decided to give your RRO a spin. I must say, great job.
Smooth, fast, with all the customizations RR has to offer without added weight.
And it runs beautifully well with my kernel I must say. Thank you!

Stock camera works just as good as in EMUI for photos, video shooting still needs to be fixed. Only AOSP camera can shoot video and in some cases the video does not get saved.
Other than that, NFC needs fixing and one or two more minor things i guess.
Hi,
the front camera take pictures, but the pictures are not saved.

Frequently Asked Questions!
Q : I get error 255/7 while flashing from recovery
A : Flash using correct TWRP.
Q : How do i flash rom?
A : No rocket science Just wipe /system /cache /dalvik's cache & internal storage from twrp, Then simply flash the rom package and reboot.
Q : Can I dirty flash the next build?
A : If you are upgrading from previous builds of this rom to the current builds then O'course you can dirty flash by just flashing the new rom package , gapps package and wiping both the cache partition however i advice you to refrain from doing dirty flash. Follow the instructions if posted after a build drop and flash the package accordingly if instructions explicitly mention about clean flashing.
Q : Where do i get compatible gapps/ I can't signIn into google play?
A : Get your Gapps from OpenGapps.org, only use Pico or nano! If you want my support.
Q : Is root access included in this Rom?
A : No it is not. Some testers have had success with Magisk though.
Q : Can I flash ABC mod? Does the ROM support it?
A : Yeah sure, but I will not support you. And no, the ROM probably does not support it.
Q : Android go, when?
A : Decided to disable it for now for good
Q : Livedisplay broken/not working ?
A : Don't touch that section, The support was removed from the kernel because Lenovo's mdss don't go quite well with live display implementation and won't be supported.
Q : Is VOLTE supported ?
A : No.
Q : Is the ROM suited for daily usage ?
A : Yes, Looks like all basic daily usage stuff is functional.
Q : WHEN UPDATE?? GIB UPDATE PL0X.
A : I only post updates when there's a decent list of changes. I'm a college student and there's only so much I can do. Please do not spam my PM regarding this.
I will not respond to any messages demanding ETAs
Thanks Dev, aka har**** bhai
No bugs found at far. Good rom as pie. A6000 rocks. ❤
Thanks to the dev for bringing Android 10 to A6000
Clean installed the ROM a couple of hours ago. Everything seems to be stable and pretty. Love it. The phone was not laggy or slow even after the very first boot. Excited about exploring all the features of Android 10.
Two issues that I have noticed so far -
1. The phone is not latching on to the network. Tried both SIMs and both Automatic and Manual setting. It latches on - full five bars, then drops it, then latches on, then drops it. So on.
2. The 'Live Display' setting crashes the settings app - the settings within the 'Live Display' section cannot be changed apparently?
Thanks for any help in resolving the above two.
Cheers,
S

Network depends upon area to area, If problem is genuine please drop "adb shell logcat -b radio logcat.txt" here so that I can look to it.
LiveDisplay was removed from A6000's builds since Los-15.1's last build because lenovo's changes to mdss don't seem to go well with the kernel implementation of livedisplay, So the feature had to be dropped and since there's no live display driver it crashes when one tries to poke it from settings, Thanks for reminding me, I'll add it to faq

Audio works perfectly fine in los-17.1 & the prior mentioned pie roms, If you are facing such issues it could prolly be cause of damaged hardware or because you might have overlooked flashing hex firmware patch and if it persists even after that then it can't be helped. Make sure you are flashing it on mentioned variants only and follow the instructions carefully, Drop the logs so that we can see them if its genuine and is not caused by any third party apps or by flashing mods.

Thanks for the prompt response. I have verified with multiple SIMs and multiple locations - it will not latch on to any network.
I ran the command you mentioned but the command appears to run indefinitely and no .txt file is output. I exported the CMD log anyway and is attached. I only let the command run for a few seconds as the log file was quickly exceeding the forum limit of 512KB for txt files.
Help, please?
Thanks, dev.

Once again, many thanks for the prompt response. Is this still the most recent version of the Hex Firmware Patch? https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=745425885120747542

Thanks for this awesome rom Dev.....

Can we use banking apps without any security issue?
Amazing work dev_harsh1998, thank you so much!
I am running on your 16.0 version now and I am going to upgrade to this 17.1.
Going to download nano gapps and want to ask you which version to install 32 or 64 bit?
Hex and twrp not required to upgrade right? (already did that for 16.0)
:good: thanks brother for this rom ?

Nah I think you'll have to clean flash. You might run into an error saying you're out of space if you dirty flash it

There's an Android Auto opengapps add-on you need to flash after flashing your base gapps. This should fix Android Auto crashes.

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 12, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

Reporting Bugs
DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab /sys/fs/pstore/console-ramoops and /sys/fs/pstore/dmesg-ramoops-0. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues. Any bug not reported in the bug report format below may be ignored.

This is using oos12 blobs?
Thanks a ton @LuK1337.
Installed from latest android 12 stock ROM just now. Few observations after playing around for 20 mins.
No issues with installations [ROM+Gapps] using instructions.
Haptic feedback is similar to stock ROM and much improved from LOS 18.1 since I last used it.
Sound via headphone/speakers is similar to stock ROM.
GPay is working fine for UPI with just stock + Gapps [India].
Overall super smooth/fluid animations and everything is working as expected. Love it.
Bugs I observed:
- Fingerprint icon is overlapping with charging message [PFA Screenshot]
- Ok Google hotword detection is not working. Will appreciate any recommendations on making it work. [UPDATE: It works after installing 10/25 nightly, Thanks @LuK1337]
Installed it on US version and noticed the baseband changed, having connection problems with Visible ( prepaid from Verizon ), signal drops after minutes, will come back after cycling airplane mode and then just disconnects again , not sure is safe to revert back to older baseband, any tips appreciated.
PS I upgraded from Lineage 18.1
Hi, so happy that LOS 19 is out for hotdogb! Before installing, I'd like to know if the prox sensor is working? (eg if you cover the prox sensor on lockscreen and double tap to wake, does it wake the phone up?) and if the game Summoners War works? last time I tried on a A12 based rom the game would crash immediately after launch.
Thx in advance

Mind The Gapps mentioned in the official guide.
Sound from earpiece is very high during calls. It's like loudspeaker is enabled by default. Minimum value is way to high.

Yes ... Baseband version Q_V1_P14 and Vendor security patch = 5 August 2022 ... (see screenshot)
Note: Official builds ship firmware files, so no need to update firmware. You can install LOS 19.1 from OOS 10 and 11 blobs via LOS 18.1 recovery.
Clean flash and dirty flash from Official LOS 18.1 or unofficial LOS 19.1 work fine ... see official instructions.

good to hear no need to do firmware update before 18 => 19 upgrade... saves a ton of fiddling, thank you dev!

How come 18.1 to 19.1 migration patches vendor security but a 18.1 OTA updates don't do that? Is it a new Mainline module that fixes it?
Hello. I installed the rom yesterday and evrything seems to work fine. Except few things. Below I'm listing the bugs that I've found/encountered yet.
1) When on call, it seems like it by default on loudspeaker. The call volume is too high and there's no way to reduce/turn it off.
2) There's no dynamic theming in Wallpapers and styles section. Please find attachment.
3) Battery sometimes drops very rapidly. Like it shows that it's on 23% for like 10 minutes and drops straight to 20%. Maybe visual bug.
Rest all seems great. The idle time is outstanding. Overall a good ROM. Thank you.
Hi!
My question is whether a change from OOS11 (11.0.9.1 EU) to LOS19.1 is possible directly?
According to the wiki, the Android 12 firmware is required before installation. In return, you can switch from LOS 18.1 to 19.1 without firmware....
The "big" problem for me is that only Indian version of OOS12 is available so far and I don't want to have a brick due to a bug.

You can flash 19.1 from 18.1 recovery while it's still available for download.
Also, you might want to wait like for https://mirrorbits.lineageos.org/fu...eage-19.1-20221024-nightly-hotdogb-signed.zip to become available.

Maybe these issues are solved by latest build. Give it a try.

Has it been confirmed that 7T/Pro/5G won't get OOS13(A13)? There is always rumors but was it just a mistake by TMO? Obviously the phone isn't a S10lite or Pixel 4 but stuff can theoretically ported.

Perfect, PE & PE+
Testing shortly! Thanks PB!
Does pixel experience latest rom not support soli hardware on pixel4xl?
Right on, EXCELLENT ROM! SafetyNet out of the box (no tweaks, nada), Play Store certified (Netflix for example), all RIL works great (calls/TXTs/MMS), and I have tested everything so far with the underlying OS without a single issue, bug, or hiccup!
PixelExperience is my daily driver again (from LOS 19.1) and I will remain on this ROM for a good while to test, ETC. I will only leave this ROM if I find any showstoppers, but none so far it is flawless! I may jump again later down the road when LOS 20 is out (and stable), but I am LOVING this ROM so far!!!
THANKS PixelBoot, for ANOTHER great ROM release!! I use the PE+13 version (latest release available)
PixelBoot, I have run PE+ all day yesterday and overnight with nothing to report! Not a SINGLE hiccup! Its FLAWLESS! Well done!
Adaptive charging does not work, it did not work on PE 12 either, can not be fixed? Maybe it's better to remove this item.

I am just curious, what or why you do you say it doesn't work? I am not arguing with you, but it seems to be working on my side. That being said, maybe you are testing it differently so share this with us (how you are testing this theory) so we can help (and I could be wrong), so I am interested in the 'whys' (testing methods used and/or apps used):
Took the OTA this morning, NO ISSUES, updated perfect, booted perfect, then I re-rooted perfectly, and my device is certified again after the update (Play Store, I.E. Netflix), so this is ROCK SOLID!!!

On the factory firmware, it was enough to set an alarm for the morning, in the evening after 21:00 when I put the phone on charge, adaptive charging always turned on, on PE under the same conditions there is always fast charging, the phone charges in 1.5-2 hours, a it should be charged until the morning

ah got it, so it's not an app or service being used to test, but original methods used on factory firmware and such. Let me test a few things, and make sure it's ACTUALLY doing what I think it's doing and follow-up. In my opinion, I do think it's working (as I configured it to function, but maybe not), so let me follow-up after I dig in.

The safe method is to open play store, settings, at the bottom, click update Play Store and this will update the needed framework, plus everything needed for the latest Google Play Framework. This is native to all Android ROMs, stock, AOSP, and so on, anything that runs the Google Framework with Play Store will have this option built-in.
Public Service Announcement - I would NEVER EVER advise installing an APK for a system function on a custom ROM (heck, not even on a stock firmware would I say it's OK to do). ESPECIALLY one from a lower version of Android (this system APK was pulled from Android 12), this is A13!
Please be careful with giving out advice on things like this or users will fail and lose data. I know you are trying to help, so please don't misunderstand my pushback, I appreciate anyone who tries to help others. BUT, at the same token, I will always jump in if I see advice that can potentially cause data loss, this is a BIG one for that risk.

Hey bud,
Can you give me a heads up on how to take this OTA? Do I need to have the PE recovery or TWRP installed/flashed to device for it to finalize? I am doing the OTA now and on last stage where it says finalizing installation it hangs at 50 %

no, I have stock recovery, stock kernel, take the OTA, let it do its thing, then reboot, and it will finish the update afterwards, then you need to re-root (if rooted)

K. That's what I am doing but it just hangs there at 50% on the finalizing update and doesn't progress from there. I am not rooted, should I be for the OTA?
