Support:
We spend an astonishing amount of time developing this software. We can't spend much time on XDA as a result, so if you need support, please try the following:
1) Search. Search, search, search. Yes, you. I don't care how unique or important your question is, it's very likely someone has adressed it already. Especially if you're even close to new at this.
2) Read our FAQ, which can be found on our website. Carbon FAQ
3) Ask a question in your device forum. Someone will no doubt try to help you. Warning: this help may come in the form of telling you it's a dumb question that has been asked before. See step 1 - such are the perils of asking questions when you haven't done the research yourself. Android is about helping yourself.
4) Join our Discord server! There, you can connect with other Carbon users and our developers, and you can get quicker responses to your bug reports. The invite link is right below.
We recommend MindTheGApps. OpenGApps should work, but please make sure you clearly mention the gapps you're using when reporting bugs.

Wow thats good. Thank you very much.
Hi, Myself5! Thanks a lot that you still support our device though you have newer devices.
User experiences and issue list for 2019-03-11 Release
First of all, thanks to @Myself5, @rcstar6696 and all other members of the CarbonROM team for the release of CarbonROM 6.1 Oreo for our device! :good::victory:
User experiences with CarbonROM 6.1:
Installation was smooth. I flashed cr-6.1 and OpenGapps ARM 8.1 on top of my working cr-5.1 installation (dirty flash), so all of my apps and their settings were kept. MindTheGapps 8.1.0 arm, which are recommended by the Carbon devs, are also working fine. Keep in mind that there is no guarantee that a dirty flash works in all cases, so you might have to wipe your data partition. This generally is recommended when updating to a new Android version anyway.
Besides of some small issues (see below), everything runs stable and the system is snappy and smooth. Thermal management and charging speed is fine.
Magisk 16.0 works fine, as well as Xposed Framework (SDK 27) v90-beta3 or alternatively Systemless Xposed (SDK 27) v90.1-beta3 Magisk module. However, there are some force-closes of background apps every now and then, caused by the beta status of Xposed v90.
My Xperia Torch Boost Magisk module is still working well on cr-6.1.
Selinux is set to enforcing, just as it was in cr-5.1.
I found out that Android Messages SMS/MMS app has a high battery drain, which e.g. is also reported for Pixel devices on Android 8 Oreo, so a general bug by Google. Because of this, I switched to Textra SMS (of course you can also use one of the other SMS/MMS apps around), which fixes the battery drain.
Improvements in comparison to cr-5.1:
The camera button now acts exactly like in Sony Stock ROMs, so now focussing and taking pictures is possible with Stock Sony Camera. You can also invoke the Stock Sony Camera by long-pressing the camera button, just like in Stock ROMs, but this doesn't work when the device is off or locked. In this case you can use a double press on the power button, which can be enabled in Carbon Fibers settings.
Booting the device is noticably faster than on cr-5.1.
Lower battery drain than on cr-5.1.
Better, more uniform design.
The ROM is being updated to the latest Android Security Patches.
Apps can be "locked" in the Recent Apps, so when pressing the Clean All button, they keep running.
4K video recordings are possible.
Missing features in comparison to cr-5.1:
There is no option to turn on Network Traffic Indicators yet. (This has been added in 2018-04-05 Weekly.)
Default Camera-App does not allow to save photos to sd-card, puts photos in wrong orientation and is all around very limited. However, there are good alternatives like Open Camera and the Stock Sony Camera. (Since 2018-05-01 Weekly, Snap Camera is used again.)
Issues in Carbon ROM 6.1:
Video recording doesn't work yet with the built-in Camera app, as well as with several other apps like Open Camera and the Stock Sony Camera. Until this is fixed, you can use Footej Camera for video recording as a workaround. (This has been fixed in 2018-05-08 Weekly by @AdrianDC and Milos Ratkovic.)
DoubleTap2Wake isn't working yet. (This has been fixed in 2018-04-11 Weekly.)
The SystemUI (Quick Settings etc.) always is shown in white theme. I know that this is Oreo's default design, but it should change to dark theme when using a dark wallpaper. (See @Myself5's reply in post #14.)
The gyroscope doesn't work properly yet with certain apps, e.g. Vr Tester - Gyroscope Sensor App and Accelerometer Gyro Tester. (Obviously this is a bug of those apps or of Oreo in general, since @Myself5 could reproduce it on his Pixel 2 XL device, running on stock ROM. Many other apps that use the gyroscope are working fine on cr-6.1.)
Saving and accessing files on SD card doesn't work for certain apps and tools, which could be a Linux permission or SELinux denial issue. For further information and partial workarounds, see post #45, post #49 and post #51. (This has been fixed in 2018-06-05 Weekly.)
Screen Cast still isn't working for me with 2018-04-11 Weekly (I tested this with a Sony and an LG Smart TV which both connected fine to my Z3c on stock ROMs), even with the new boot image from post #103 which is working with @Myself5's Fire TV stick and Wireless Display Adapter. This has been fixed in 2018-04-17 Weekly.
WiFi isn't working on 5 GHz band in some countries, as has been reported in post #1634 on the Z2 cr-6.1 thread, including links to posts with possible workarounds and fixes. There's also an article in the xda wiki with further information. Since 2018-05-01 Weekly, Germany (DE) is used as Wifi country code, but there have been several reports by users from other countries that this doesn't work for them, so is not an universal fix. As a workaround, until this is fixed, you can use my Magisk module from post #195, which you have to change to your own country code by following the instructions that I gave there. Edit: @marcogiannetta posted an improved Magisk module in post #373 which changes the Wifi Country Code accordingly to the system language. A similar issue (wifi dosent connect in Iran) also has been reported on the bug tracker and is being looked after by the devs. Edit: According to post #2092 on the Z2 thread, this issue can also be fixed by installing WiFi regional problem solver Xposed module.
Music files can't be played from SD card with Vanilla Music, Sony Music and several other players. This issue was fixed in 2018-05-08 Nightly, but reappeared on 2018-05-15 Nightly. Until this is fixed again, you can use jetAudio HD Music Player as a workaround. (This has quickly been fixed again in the 20180515-2340 Weekly build.)
When making a screenshot via the Power menu, most of the time the Power menu itself is visible in the screenshot. There should be a slight delay (just 1/10th second might already be sufficient), so the Power menu is already hidden again before the screenshot is taken. This has been fixed in 2018-07-05 Weekly.
Apps like Netflix, MyCanal and MagineTV don't work because DRM WideVine is not supported yet, whereas in CarbonROM 5.1 it was supported. This has been fixed in 2018-08-15 Release.
Lock screen rotation has been removed since 2018-09-11 Release. It was a useful feature when using the phone in landscape orientation e.g. in a car holder and IMO should be added again. Edit1: As a workaround, I made LockscreenRotationEnabler Magisk module which adds this functionality by adding a setting to 'build.prop'. Edit2: Lock screen rotation can also be enabled with GravityBox [O] Xposed module.
NFC extended length isn't supported, which is needed e.g. for reading identity cards with apps like AusweisApp2. (This has been fixed in 2019-03-11 Release.)
NFC-HCE isn't supported, which is needed for Google Pay. (This has been fixed in 2019-03-11 Release.)
Wish list for some further improvement of Carbon ROM 6.1:
Long press camera button to wake and launch camera app when the screen is off or the phone is locked. Edit: I found a workaround which I described in this post.
A toggle to switch to dark UI theme for quick settings. Edit1: The dark UI theme can be forced with ForceDarkModeOreo Xposed module. Edit2: ForceDarkModeOreo unfortunately is one of the Xposed module which cause random app crashes, so it's not advisable to use it. Let's hope that the devs will add this feature eventually.
About time this one got its own thread, huh
Everything works great, no bugs so far and no problem with camera recording (using Footej Camera), though missing hardware key rebindings and i cant enable power notifications
Downloading right now. Lets see how it compares to Omni 8.1
EDIT (my comment from a few pages later):
After a few days with it, I can say it's already suitable for daily use. Using MindTheGapps (tho I will switch to OpenGapps pico, I don't want Google app ), Magisk 16.
It's smooth and very stable. No crashes or major issues for me so far.
Battery life is acceptable, worse than stock (doh), and perhaps even LOS 14.1. Thermal management and charging speed is fine.
No idea about the camera, mine is broken (HW) and I never use front one.
A few suggestions and comments:
Add some power balancing options like with LOS (better performance or battery life).
Also, I love how you can customize RGB values on LOS to make it more yellowish even during day, plus night light. Any idea what workaround I could use? My blueish screen is killing me and I can't use night light all day.
Good to hear night mode is being worked on.
How to make quick tiles menu like on 7.x? I preferred auto expanding options for mobile data and silent mode. Can't find it in fibers.
Hi, Great that development is ongoing - Thanks a lot!
One thing, got the same problem with the none carbon Oreo Version:
got problems with whatsapp. Video isn't running. The phone doesn't build up a connection. Chat works, but whatssap call or video not.
Skype ist working without problems ...
Any Ideas?
I installed it with a full wipe - system, cache, dalvik, data, internal storage. Used TWRP 3.2 for ROM (to mind error 7) and TWRP 3.1 for installation of MindTheGApps.
Thanks for help!
Thanks for the ROM, working great for me.
I have accidently deleted live wallpaper picker. Tried download a few different versions from the internet but nothing works. Where can I get the one this ROM is using?
FYI: I now posted my first impression and experiences in post #4. I'm planning to update it when new Weeklies arrive or when other users report some issues that are worth listing.
@Myself5: Please have an eye on the missing features and issues that I postet there, so they will hopefully get fixed in the next Weeklies.
Happy Easter to all of you!

It'd definitely be nice to have the dark theme overall. I'm not sure if I'm the only one, but I really dislike the white Oreo style. Is it possible to have it look more like Nougat, also in the 'settings' app? I, for one, always loved the color scheme that Goolge made from Lollipop to Nougat.

For things like Networks indicator: Some additional features will surely come with time, as you said.
Video recording: I think it was the Z3 thread where I explained it in detail: The commits to fix Video recording do work (kind of), but are WIP, so we're all working on getting them stable and polished, then they will be merged as fast as possible. When that happens is rough to estimate, I wouldnt expect it to take much longer than 2-3 Weeks though.
DT2W: As you said. Fixed and merged, will be included in the Next Weekly.
For the Dark Theme: Isn't that a Pixel only feature? For that to work you'd need assets for a "dark theme". On Pixel devices those are on the /vendor partition, so obviously not present on our Z3C. Correct me if I'm wrong please.
Thanks for the detailed report, will gladly keep on checking it with followup builds.

It does. Install the Substratum app and flip the switch in CarbonFibers -> Privacy to make it work.
The Switch is disabling the Security measures Google merged in the March ASBs. By default Subs completely removes them, but we decided to go for an opt-in for those that want to use it while keeping the "security" Google intended to have with merging it for those that don't want to.
First off all, thank u for this amazing work! Rom is awesome.
1 - I saw that DT2W is fixed in the next build. It's possible add a feature present in gravitybox? When smartphone is in the pocket, sometimes screen turns on because DT2W. Gravitybox has an option to disable this when proximity sensor is covered.
2 - Someone can tell me if led notification works? Not work here...
Sorry bad English...
Sorry for asking again - anyone using this rom with working whatsapp video oder whatsapp call? When I try it the connection always hang up - no connection. Chat works.
Any idea anyone?
Thanks!

Yes, this is a great additional feature when using DT2W and one of the reasons that I use GravityBox. @Myself5: It would be great if you could implement this feature for those of us who don't use Xposed. In GravityBox it can be found under "Power tweaks -> Proximity wake up" and the additional option "Ignore for incoming call" which is also worth implementing.

I can confirm that LED notifications are working here, just tested this with missed call (using Google Dialer) and incoming email (using AquaMail).

I don't use WhatsApp, but I guess that the not working video call has to do with the not fully working video recording (see #1 in the issues list I posted here).
Hello All,
I just updated from CR5.1 to 6.1 this day, and tried to install Magisk.
But Magisk Manager failed to update, and if I flashd through TWRP (the good one, 3.1) I'm stucked in Sony logo.

I have to "install" Magisk uninstaller in TWRP to bring life to my phone
EDIT : magisk 16.0, manager 5.6.4.
Some idea pls ?

Did you try removing all other modules? For me the very same thing is happening if I try to use the fbind (Folder Bind) module. You can try to remove all modules, if u use the Magisk Manager for Recovery Mode (mm).
I tried and :
"No magisk installation found."
So I installed Magisk v16, then installed this one.
I could install mm, this was the only module installed.
I uninstalled mm, rebooted without uninstalling Magisk V16, and the phone booted !
But I can't open Magisk Manager v5.6.4, stucked in the app logo...So Magisk seems to be installed, but I can't use it :/
EDIT : Well, after a recovery reboot, reinstall f magisk V16, phone boot correctly and Magisk is alive.
I don't know how this is working, but it's working.
No doubt, you helped me, many thanks

wow, great work @tuxdude143!!
cant wait to try this rom, keep the good work bro...
Updated the opening post to reflect that music playback does actually work but FLAC files seem to be a bit fiddly. They refuse to work in the stock music player and some apps like BlackPlayer but they will play just fine in other apps like VLC or Foobar2000. Your mileage may vary.
MP3 playback works absolutely fine in all apps.
In the next build I plan to have bluetooth and rotation working and I'll try and bundle the nubia camera and gallery into the rom itself.
Thanks for your effort to develop for this device. Hope to try your rom as soon as my device arrives
Thanx

Thank you Tuxdude for making a custom rom for our Nubia M2.
i did install the rom and seems to be a beginnig of a good rom for our phones
unfortunatly i can not test this rom for long because bluetooth is not functioning and i need my bluetooth every day so i hope this will be solved soon
so i can do some long term testing and use it as dayly rom to help to find the bugs left and give more imput

Thank you Tuxdude. And thank you to Roland for make me aware of this ROM.
Do you have an idea of when do you plan to post the new build? Bluetooth is really necessary.
Anyway, I'll test it, as I can live without Bluetooth for the next few days. I hope there'll be few days
EDIT: I've been trying out the ROM. So far, so good. I don't have those reboots that I had with Lineage using substratum. Almost every hour I had a reboot. Not with Carbon.
EDIT 2: After more than 24 hours of use and two times charged, I can tell that battery use, even as we know that we have to let the ROM settle, is very high. From 100% to 15% in just 5 hours. Two times. Also, it is not a fast ROM. It takes a couple of seconds to register touch and launch the app. It still needs several maintenance and work. But on the plus side, substratum keeps working like a charm.
The only other bug that I found is that the Menu/Recents button doesn't work, even if I change their settings. Changing settings work for the menu button.

Thanks for reporting these bugs. At the moment I'm looking into fixing bluetooth, rotation etc and hope to have them working in the next build.
Battery usage is also something I'm working on. I know Deep Sleep works fine but battery management isn't the greatest. I'll try and either fix that in the next update or the update after.
Thanks for the feedback!

Bluetooth is really important, so please help us solving this issue first.
But the reliability and choppiness issue is huge on my phone. Even with the ROM installed and no other app or tweak on it, it is really slow to launch a default app. Also, I'm using OpenGapps because on the link that you wrote for MindtheGapps, I cannot install it. The Play Store is there, but as soon as I launched it, a message saying that I don't have Google Play Services installed pops out. And going to recovery to reinstall it gets me on the same message. I even tried to install both ARM versions that are on the site, but with the same results. And in one instance, I just installed the ROM with no Gapps, and the same slow launching times happen, even launching the calculator app takes a few seconds.

I'm using opengapps as well. I just did a copy and paste of the thread template for carbonROM when I made the thread which is why the reference to using mindthegapps is there.
I'll probably update the OP to say you should just use openGapps since those seem to work absolutely fine.
Also apologies for no update this week. University has been keeping me busy so I've been juggling around a lot of stuff. I'll look into repairing the major bugs and releasing an update as soon as possible though

Take all the time you may need. As long as it's as soon as possible
I understand. I just wish more people could download and test the ROM, but I suspect Bluetooth is really needed to be working.
I'm using it as my daily driver and I can cope with the glitches, as long as my substratum themes keep working. Also, many people probably don't know this, but with Carbon OS, if you install a layer, there's no need to reboot the system to apply it.
hi guys I want to give you great news ... the automatic rotation works ... you just have to activate all the rotations from the settings
WHEW things have been quiet. Sorry for not having posted an update in so long. University has been preventing me from really doing any solid work on this.
I'm planning on trying to make some new builds based against the new device tree, kernel etc that highwaystar is using for the new builds of LineageOS 14.1. The hope is that will fix some of the bugs currently present. I currently have no real ETA for when I'll get that build all sorted out what with being up to my neck in university work but I'll try and get it out there at some point.
Thanks for all your patience, I know how restless you must be for an update and I can understand that. Once I have some more time on my hands then I should be able to pump out a new build

Hey Bogdan010! Thanks for the ROM and screenshots.
How is this different from an AOSP ROM (HavocOS, RR, etc.)? I read up that CAF has better compatibility with Snapdragon hardware, so would this ROM be better than an AOSP one?
Also, is Bluetooth calling fixed here, or will we have to flash the bt-call-fix-hlte.zip file?
P.S.: I have a SM-N9005 running RR-P-v7.0.2-20190605-hlte-Official at the moment, and am planning to clean flash and update to HavocOS, so if this ROM has better compatibility, I'd rather test this one out.

Ok...
First: The main developer of this ROM is @jprimero15 (he told me to create this thread and i said "ok, i'll do it") so thank him!
Second: CAF based ROMs has a better compatibility with snapdragon SoC-s (as you said) but it's not very customizable (like Havoc)
Third: I tried BT calling and it works in this ROM. Miracast works too but sound comes from phone speaker (not TV) [this option is still in beta stage because google killed miracast in pie]
Peace out! :fingers-crossed:

Firstly, A thanks is in order then, Thanks jprimero15!
Secondly, by better compatibility you mean better battery life, efficiency etc.? So basically if I want a solid ROM with less customisation I go with this, am I understanding this correctly? Xposed and stuff won't work, I'm guessing?
Thirdly, The casting bit I understand, no worries, I read all about how google killed it off.
Thanks for replying and setting things straight though, Bogdan010.

Alright, that sounds amazing. I'll test and report if any issues arise.
Can u please add a features list to the OP post ( like in the Havoc thread) so that we can get to know what all customizations are available without actually flashing the ROM?

Running perfectly for the past couple of hours.
Really love the smoothness of the ROM in all the menus, especially the scrolling; before I always got that slight stutter in RR and Pixel Experience while scrolling through anything.
Google Pay also works after installing Magisk. On another hand though, BHIM, the banking app we use in India is giving me a false positive saying the device is rooted, even without installing Magisk, but not much of a problem, it's an Indian government-made app so it sucks lol, had this issue with RR also (and it randomly got solved, but whatever)
Bluetooth calling works out of the box without flashing any extra zips. Music also works with no disconnection (I was able to test only for a few minutes though)
Specifically love that little lightning icon that appears when the phone is charging rapidly.
Battery life seems to be similar to all other Pie ROMs, but yet to test extensively. Will get back with results in a couple of days.
The in-built customisation options are slightly limited, unlike the other AOSP ROMs, but its still enough I feel, not considering the below clock suggestion.
Everything seems pretty stable, will be using this for the next week, and will post if any issues.
One small thing, I would like the ability to move the clock in the status bar from the left to the middle. Would that be possible? Or is there a Magisk module that could help me with the same?

RevengeOS is very limited in terms of customizations and this option doesn't exist in settings. I couldn't find any module to do this but i've found a post https://www.xda-developers.com/status-bar-clock-tweaks-android-p-root/amp/ (give it a shot)

Okay cool, I'll check it out and holler back.
Just one more small thing, do you think it would be possible to enable the flip cover to put the phone to sleep? I still use the original samsung cover, and it's slightly irritating to press the power button everytime. The phone wakes up when I open the cover though, so maybe its possible the other way around also? Just maybe
Thanks a lot for your quick replies, Bogdan010

Well Statix OS wasn't much help either. I could flash ROM and Gapps, but the VOLTE just won't work. I've tried fixing APN(s), but no luck.

A noob question! Since you don't have VoLTE line it may never be incuded in the ROM. Correct? That being the case, is it possible for you to take the module from other moto devices or say if i could send you my phone's image, could you add the module to rom? It would be really helpful. Eversince I uncloed my device, every update makes me reset the phone and gets stuck on bootloop. It's very time consuming and beats the hell out of me

VoLTE might be included in next builds. If there is a magisk module that fixes it send me the name and I'll see through it
Well I'm really sorry, but I've never rooted any device on custom roms. So I'm clueless to as to what module can help you. But really thank you if you are trying to implement the VoLTE, my phone has been without it for a few months now and i can't makes calls without it. Sorry again
First of all thank you for your efforts. It is my first time installing a custom ROM, I also accidentally lost all my data while using fastboot, but anyways. The ROM is quite smooth and working very well.
I have seen below issues,
- The fingerprint sensor can lock phone, and there is no option to disable it. If you launch an application that requires fingerprint unlocking, auth attempt locks the phone and it becomes annoying after a while.
- There are two camera apps, the (seemingly) default one says "Hardware version does not support portrait mode". And I set a default camera app a few times, but somehow sometimes Android keeps forgetting the default one and asks again.
- FM Radio, not a big deal, but does not have an option to work without wired headphones. Perhaps some apps are not included because this is the bare bones Pixel Android.
Thanks again. I am sure having a solid build takes a lot of effort. The experience is quite nice.
Ps. For a newbie like me, there is no explanation for the difference of Pixel Experience and PE Plus. I am still wondering. I installed the standard one.
Bluetooth Devices
Hello! First of all, thanks for all your efforts for delivering this great ROM.
I'd like to ask a question: in the previous versions (unofficial), Bluetooth devices, such as headphones, did not work. Are they working in this version?
Thanks.

Yes the do!
The reason why it wasn't official before was due to that issue but now it's solved
Backup
Hello!
I've succesfully installed the Plus version of this ROM. The process was smooth (for the first time after trying many different ROMs!).
The ROM works very well, and I really like it.
However, I've experienced one small bug: Backup on Drive and WhatsApp is not working. It is stuck on "waiting for backup". I have searched for some solution online: I tried cleaning Drive's cache and forcing the app to stop, I tried some commands through ADB (following the instructions on this link https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-8/how-to/guide-google-backup-waiting-to-backup-t3895101) .
This has partially fixed the bug: now the Data App are backed up but not the other things (contacts, SMS, etc.).
Is anyone else experiencing a similar issue?
Thanks in advance!
Bug: When I press and hold an icon in the app drawer, sometimes a black or colored rectangle appears around that icon.
I'm using the normal version and latest update.

Are bluetooth calls working fine? What about call recording?
Hello there, i recently unlocked my bootloader and i'm ready leave MIUI for good. Therefore i was wondering which custom rom is the most useful for my personal use.
I rarely play games and the ones i play are light-weight and not demanding games. I usually browse social media and watch movies.
I don't need many extra features, stability is the most important thing for me.
So i'm looking for a ROM that's close to stock android with a few nice features, that's stable and hopefully battery-efficient.
Thanks in advance.
If You dont play games and want a stabile room go for Arrow OS ,If you want customization go for dot Os ,Cr droid.
I have the same user profile as you: looking for a stable ROM, with OTA updates.
So far as I've read the internet out there, most people go for Xiaomi.eu (for MIUI like experience) or ArrowOS (for a more pure Android experience).
But, of course, there's plenty of other options.
I'm more willing to go for Xiaomi.eu, but I would like to hear other users' experiences too.

ArrowOS version 07-09-2021 in the best one regarding smoothness and stabilty, however latest builds (from 07-23-2021 included) aren't good, scaling governor was changed for the worst, and since they switch from stock to their own vendor it have some relevant bugs.
tl:dr: ArrowOS 07-09-2021 build, both official or vanilla. Also LineageOS once it will become official can be a good choice.

Cr Droid has some bugs when I tested , arrow is good but not the best , I recomand Dot OS 5.1.1 it's more stabile , now I'm on Pixel Extended and is working grateful .

My phone comes with Xiaomi EU , and is not grate ,you can go if you want but is the same ****t experience from MIUI ,go for Dot or arrow because MIUI EU is not good .
Edit: is very heavy 5.2GB and not good for games ,and has a very resorce consuming UI .
ArrowOS get worse with every OTAs so no, I won't recommend ArrowOS for now.
LineageOS as listed in its thread has its bug and with only one OTA so far, I can't judge if is good long run yet but with my past experience using it on other phones, it has been great. Still, those are by different maintainers so only time can tell.
From my experience, the best one in terms of stability is CrDroid, i can't find significant bugs on it.
I have 0 issues with ArrowOS no idea what are you people talking about. If about the CPU governor scaling it's intended and i dont see any issue with it, battery life is about the same and it's more fluid. Furthermore it's only matter of time and every custom ROM will be based on OSS vendor so better get used to it.
Can you explain how exactly it gets worse with every OTA?
As long as ROMs keeps get updates, there's always chance getting bugs or issues when update, so there's no "Best custom rom for stability".
Don't update if the ROM is working well makes the ROM stable.
The most stable ROM is the ROM that don't get updates. Everything is always the same. Bug is the same, issue is the same, security vulnerabilities are still there. So stable .

Personally, I am a power user and the first problem I encountered is how difficult to install Viper4AndriodFX on ArrowOS and only to learn that the "sound feature" is in conflict with it. Most roms don't have such "feature" and when I report such feature is in conflict with other sounds apps, they simply reply "not my problem". Imagine microsoft telling you drivers not working on windows because of a "feature" isn't their problem.
Now, moving on to my first OTA, not the scaling update but the one before that. The first problem I notice is it broke one of my google app, I had to reinstall and reboot 3 times to get it working again. I also do root my phone, if is not obvious enough from the previous paragraph. While the ota did reinstall the magisk but that's that. My bank apps and whatever apps stop working (detecting root) even though it was fine before OTA. Fortunately, google app start updating plenty of apps (not the banks ones), I don't know which apps are the main culprit but it start working again. Now that's a problem, do I have to reinstall all the apps every time I do OTA?
Now, moving on to the previous OTA, the scaling update one. You say is intended but with my experience so far, I call that bs, more like when they syncing with kernel source, they replace the value from that kernel source. Furthermore, "governor" exist for a reason and if you gonna interfere with the job of "governor", why have "governor" in the first place?
Now, looking at the bug reports in ArrowOS page, other device is experiencing "NFC" issues. Now that a big one, I don't know about your country but my country has been utilizing contactless payment for years. While it isn't this device that is bugged but it does worry me.
If you do not have any issues, doesn't mean others don't. It could be just that you don't use your phone extensively like others or you not a power user. Last but not least, you are not the only user and I do appreciate if you don't ridicule others' users feedbacks just because you don't have issue yourself. This statement also apply to @pl1992aw.
All your "issues" (except CPU governor which is not issue or a bug) you have mentioned are related to third party mods (Viper4Android and Magisk specifically).
Also FYI - NFC and Gpay works without Magisk, i use it daily with 5 different banking apps (Nest, Santander, Paypal, Revolut and Gpay). So maybe next time before you blame the ROM try using it without mods?
Also you just discovered why majority of devs ignore bug reports coming from users which are using mods, including ArrowOS. https://blog.arrowos.net/how-to-report-a-bug/
WHAT NOT to report!
Bugs which are present in unofficial builds or anything that is nit downloaded from our official download server.
Asking about device support, unlocking bootloader, getting TWRP installed and similar queries are not encouraged.
Bugs on a device which has root priveleges from SuperSU, Magisk, Magisk modules or any other rooting methods that exists etc.
Issues which suggest feature requests.
Issues which suggest supporting a new device which we do not own.
Bugs which arise after replacing default apps.
Bugs in devices which occur in third party apps.
Bugs in devices we do not support anymore.
Bugs in ArrowOS experimental builds.

Ha ha ha I'm tagged.
I'm not sure which part you thought ridicules other users' feedbacks.
Maybe this part?

This part is mainly talking about updates of anything in general.
Example: Windows 7.
Windows 7 don't get updates anymore. Everything is always the same. Bug is the same, issue is the same, security vulnerabilities are still there. So stable.
When one updates from Windows 7 to Windows 10, there's many compatibility issues and many complaint from users.
So is Windows 7 not stable? It's still stable as it is and nothing changed.
So is Windows 10 not stable? It's still stable as Microsoft keeps fixing it and update it, but never Best stable, never exist.
Is it forced to update Windows 10 from Windows 7? Yeah maybe when it just came out, but not now. You can choose not to update. Some banking ATM is even still using Windows XP because of compatibility issues, but they also take the risk of vulnerabilities and bugs.
Is Windows the Best OS on the market? Well, maybe, at least from the coverage; maybe not, there's still whole bunch of complaint every time there's update.
What's the whole point? The whole point is that this kind of topic is dynamic.
When there's update with issues, "This ROM is bad".
When there's update that fix all the pre-existing issues, "This ROM is good".
When the new update brings other issues alongside with patch of pre-existing issues, "This ROM is bad".
Question - This ROM is good or bad?
Answer - Subjective and dynamic.
Be prepared with updates. This also applies to MIUI. How's the opinion when people update from MIUI 12.0 to MIUI 12.5? Why do you quit using MIUI?
I do appreciate if you respect one another users' positive feedbacks just because you don't have positive feedbacks.

Like I have said, you are not a power user or use it extensively like others, your experience is different to others. So, is the power users experience less than that of your experience?
Can you not ridicule other users' experience? Or is your experience more important than others?
Lastly, you seem to selectively read some of things as well.

I do appreciate if you take up one another users' positive feedbacks just because you don't have positive feedbacks.

You are mocking others, if that isn't clear enough for you.

Yeah not clear for me. I'm not that smart as you are.
How?

Well, it may or may not be your intention. For example
You could write
Yeah not clear for me. How?

But you chose to include another line
I'm not that smart as you are

You are already passively doing so.
I've been using Havos OS on previous xiaomi redmi 5 plus... and I think its the best out there... (big fan).... buuuut....I always end up finding some minor bug in ASOP/vanilla based custom roms.... and Havoc isn't official yet for the x3 pro.. so I've install Xiaomi.eu rom last week and I guess that the best rom you can get for POCO x3 pro right now...it's basically same as stock miui rom except you dont get all the anoying ads..and will get all the goodies from china based xiaomi rom

I'm more willing to go for Xiaomi.eu, but I would like to hear other users' experiences too.

can't go wrong with it.... I've been using it for 5 days now.. you wouldn't even notice its custom rom until you check "My device" in settings...
-it comes with MIUI dialer which enables call recording... (which was kinda important for me)
-no ads.... all bloatware removed...
-some stock 'MI apps" (files/email/music/video app) can be disabled (I strongly suggest not to root uninstall them if you don't want issues with future updates)
-minimal preloaded google apps (can be installed from store if needed)
-can be updated easily with a dirty flash from what I read from the website
-also chances of having bugs are minimal since it's basically the same rom as stock miui rom
NOTE: first boot takes a while after flash...be patient....if its more than 15minutes...then its a bootloop. Mine took like 7minutes for initial boot; it will be laggy during the first hour of use as its processing stuff in background....but after that performance should be back to normal
