Hey Bogdan010! Thanks for the ROM and screenshots.
How is this different from an AOSP ROM (HavocOS, RR, etc.)? I read up that CAF has better compatibility with Snapdragon hardware, so would this ROM be better than an AOSP one?
Also, is Bluetooth calling fixed here, or will we have to flash the bt-call-fix-hlte.zip file?
P.S.: I have a SM-N9005 running RR-P-v7.0.2-20190605-hlte-Official at the moment, and am planning to clean flash and update to HavocOS, so if this ROM has better compatibility, I'd rather test this one out.

Ok...
First: The main developer of this ROM is @jprimero15 (he told me to create this thread and i said "ok, i'll do it") so thank him!
Second: CAF based ROMs has a better compatibility with snapdragon SoC-s (as you said) but it's not very customizable (like Havoc)
Third: I tried BT calling and it works in this ROM. Miracast works too but sound comes from phone speaker (not TV) [this option is still in beta stage because google killed miracast in pie]
Peace out! :fingers-crossed:

Firstly, A thanks is in order then, Thanks jprimero15!
Secondly, by better compatibility you mean better battery life, efficiency etc.? So basically if I want a solid ROM with less customisation I go with this, am I understanding this correctly? Xposed and stuff won't work, I'm guessing?
Thirdly, The casting bit I understand, no worries, I read all about how google killed it off.
Thanks for replying and setting things straight though, Bogdan010.

Alright, that sounds amazing. I'll test and report if any issues arise.
Can u please add a features list to the OP post ( like in the Havoc thread) so that we can get to know what all customizations are available without actually flashing the ROM?

Running perfectly for the past couple of hours.
Really love the smoothness of the ROM in all the menus, especially the scrolling; before I always got that slight stutter in RR and Pixel Experience while scrolling through anything.
Google Pay also works after installing Magisk. On another hand though, BHIM, the banking app we use in India is giving me a false positive saying the device is rooted, even without installing Magisk, but not much of a problem, it's an Indian government-made app so it sucks lol, had this issue with RR also (and it randomly got solved, but whatever)
Bluetooth calling works out of the box without flashing any extra zips. Music also works with no disconnection (I was able to test only for a few minutes though)
Specifically love that little lightning icon that appears when the phone is charging rapidly.
Battery life seems to be similar to all other Pie ROMs, but yet to test extensively. Will get back with results in a couple of days.
The in-built customisation options are slightly limited, unlike the other AOSP ROMs, but its still enough I feel, not considering the below clock suggestion.
Everything seems pretty stable, will be using this for the next week, and will post if any issues.
One small thing, I would like the ability to move the clock in the status bar from the left to the middle. Would that be possible? Or is there a Magisk module that could help me with the same?

RevengeOS is very limited in terms of customizations and this option doesn't exist in settings. I couldn't find any module to do this but i've found a post https://www.xda-developers.com/status-bar-clock-tweaks-android-p-root/amp/ (give it a shot)

Okay cool, I'll check it out and holler back.
Just one more small thing, do you think it would be possible to enable the flip cover to put the phone to sleep? I still use the original samsung cover, and it's slightly irritating to press the power button everytime. The phone wakes up when I open the cover though, so maybe its possible the other way around also? Just maybe
Thanks a lot for your quick replies, Bogdan010

Support
We spend an astonishing amount of time developing this software. We can't spend much time on XDA as a result, so if you need support, please try the following:
1) Search. Search, search, search. Yes, you. I don't care how unique or important your question is, it's very likely someone has adressed it already. Especially if you're even close to new at this.
2) Read our FAQ, which can be found on our goo.im page linked above. It's new, but expanding fast. Just like us!
3) Ask a question in your device forum. Someone will no doubt try to help you. Warning: this help may come in the form of telling you it's a dumb question that has been asked before. See step 1 - such are the perils of asking questions when you haven't done the research yourself. Android is about helping yourself.
4) Ask a question on our IRC channel. Connect to #teamcarbon on irc.freenode.net or click here. You'll find several other Carbon fans and usually one or more devs as well. Please be polite.

BUGS
Some (not all) seem to experience issues with GPS. If you have issues with GPS, please RSD the JB image and then flash Carbon. GPS should work now. (I've also heard you can just restore a stock backup, get a lock, then flash Carbon again...)
Haptic feedback on soft keyboard is not provided when enabled (which it is by default)
While capturing a picture to send via MMS, ensure HDR is deselected - Gallery will cause a force close if HDR is enabled!! (Note - HDR works for normal still photos, just not MMS.)
Update Google Search (manual update), or else any voice searches will fail with FC. Update the app, and it is resolved.
Caps lock LED doesn't seem to work properly...
Camera button doesn't work? Cam/camcorder works fine, but the physical camera button does not seem to function (in Carbon).

1st to try it out. Slide out keyboard light does not work.
Great! Now we as CDMA user have much ROM options to choose. Carbon seems a big hit nowadays along with Paranoid with its Halo features. Thanks a lot for the port.

Ah, I did not notice that. Should be easy to fix, it's probably a liblights issue... as I cannot adjust the brightness either
Edit - fixed the brightness issues, and added back the multipress options... but I am still missing the keyboard backlight! I will keep working at it, and keep this thread updated.
Edit 2 - welp, looks like there are some frameworks/base hacks required. I will upload the build I am running now, everything with liblights is fixed (brightness of the display, notification LED) are fixed but keyboard backlight is not. Working on fixing that now.
Figured I would post again - as liblights should be completely fixed now folks .
I probably need to test MMS again, I'm trying to think of what else I could have missed... let me know what you find broken guys! I'm also curious if this works on the GSM hacked variants, or if I have to run another build for that group.
Edit - just tested outbound MMS (which is all I can test), it seemed fine.
First off great job. I love this rom. One question. Will your kernel work with this rom? I tried flashing and it greyed out my WiFi. I had to wipe and reflash the rom.

Well, I have a few kernels. There's one I released for CM, and my kernels that have their own thread (which are for stock).
Unfortunately I will probably have to release a separate kernel for this, as any time the kernel modules change, wifi will be broken if you don't keep up with it (this is why your wifi is broken dwaynet89.)
I assume you were using the CM kernel? That would be the only one having a chance at working. I can whip up another one for this build too if needed

Installed and running nicely. Can confirm also that face unlock through the normal system settings does not work and force closes. Might it be related to the camcorder video issues? Doesn't impact me a whole lot as one of my wifi network requires secure credentials and won't allow any security less than a pin. Will look for other bugs but looks really solid to begin with. Thanks for all your work!

This ROM seems really cool and i like most of it so far. FYI starting from stock and letting GPS lock before installing the ROM works here too. No problems with GPS for me. One thing i am missing and maybe its just me but is there a menu for changing launcher settings in this one like there is in CM? I always remove the google search bar and increase the grid size. Short term fix for me was i backed up trebuchet with all of the settings like i like it in CM 10.1 and restored it in carbon. Thanks for the work on this and if you need help with testing stuff i'll be glad to help.

disconnecting wifi
Hi first off amazing job on this rom arrrghh. The only issue I'm having with this rom is when connected to my WiFi it will just randomly disconnect and go back to my lte service. And to re-enable it I have to go to settings>WiFi>and connect to my WiFi again. Not a big deal for me, just wanted to let u know this issue occurs. Also the issue I had with the supersu on the cm10.1 rom isn't happening on this rom. And I did clean fresh install no dirty flashing. But other than that problem everything works amazing. Keep up the good work ur the best.

Hm, now I've heard on stock people having issues with wifi turning on & off.... but I don't think they had to actually re-enable it in settings.
So you say the wifi is not only disconnecting, but it is being disabled as well? IE when you go into settings, wifi is set to 'off' and you have to flip it back 'on'? Or are you just cycling it off/on in order to get it working again...
One bug that I am noticing with the latest build is in portrait mode the bottom corners of the screen do not respond to touches. In the screenshots below it shows me touching the search option in the phone app, the #'s button on the keyboard to change to using #'s and the save in the lockscreen shortcut options. I had to hit these repeatedly to get the screenshots and they still were not responding to touches.
I never dirty flash and I tried rebooting and also wiping and reflashing but dosen't resolve the inssue.

It may be a hardware issue (hopefully not) I just flashed previous build before the bug and now I'm having the same issue. I'm going to restore a backup of cm 10.1 and see if its there also.

Yes, I know where it is. But you need to wait some time. I have other projects. Sorry. It's all about not enough time and financial resources. You can try other my other MM releases. Especially BeanStalk and Temasek's CM13. Try what works best for you.
Plans have changed. I'll bring a SNAPSHOT build soon, with necessary fixes.
Fantastic Alexander
NEW SNAPSHOT BUILD
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=385035244224386332
Installation: Full wipe/Flash ROM + OpenGApps
You can use this build for now. I need to do more corrections, so I'll bring my best version soon and will delete this one later.
What will be changed in the future release:
1. Snap video recording will be corrected (not a big deal, you can successfully use Open Camera for that)
2. I'll remove some system apps, (like stock browser) and post it here, so if you really need it, you can just download apk files and install it as user apps. (This is for improving performance)
3. I'll remove screen blinks (Am I only one who see it? Let me know, leaving a comment)
Previous build made by rata** (r3t3ch) was removed. I want to emphasize he made that build. His toxic behavior and manner of talking speak for itself. Clearly, he's not an adult human being. He doesn't want to admit his mistakes, thinks he's a center of the universe, knows everything and poops in the brain if you just trying to help him. This is unacceptable and I will not stand such a toxic behavior.
What's new:
1. You can normally watch YouTube now (no patchy sound, it was easier than I thought)
2. Stock browser was replaced with Gello browser (already regret about it, the size is too big. Though it works)
If you'll find something not working, leave a comment here, I'll check it and if I'll not find it - shame on you. Though you can prove me wrong using logic and facts.
Hello,
Is there a suitable kernel for cm13 which allows for CPU to run at 1.7mhz, CPU voltage adjuster, USB fast charge, and speaker gain adjuster? Any number of adjustments is fine.
Thanks

Texas Instruments' description the maximum is 1.5mhz, so clearly I don't recommend you to find a suitable kernel for cm13 which allows for CPU to run at 1.7mhz. You can try AudioFx or DSP Manager to adjust your speaker.
I have no time for custom kernels. I'm too busy, you know. And unfortunately, often too much distracted (which is the main reason why I do these things so slowly). I need to correct CM13, Omni, Slim6, CandySix + bring 3 more AOSP MM ROMs (it's close, finally I found missing piece to make it boot), so I can say my job is finally done (I'm not satisfied for now). I want to finally start working on Nougat for tate.
Ok, everything seems fine except Snaps video recording. If I'll not find solution for that, I'll just bring last version of this SNAPSHOT and then move on. I have a lot to do.
Also, seems like nobody uses Google Calendar. (error -505 in the Play Store). The solution in the description.
PLEASE REDOWNLOAD THE BUILD
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=385035244224386732
Installation: Full wipe/Flash ROM + OpenGApps
I can't fix Snap Camera video recording for now. My advice to you: disable Snap Camera or better delete it (I always delete system Camera). Install Open Camera or another 3rd party app. No problems with 3rd party camera apps (Of course, I didn't try them all, it's impossible) And let's be realistic: you won't get good images or videos with this type of camera anyway. The purpose of this camera is video calling which it does. (not sure if it works with 3.0.101+ kernel but 100% I've seen Hangouts video calling working on one of my MM ROMs).
Like I promised, no screen blinks for now and I've removed some system apps (which you can find in the description if you need it).
I need to move on to the next ROMs now.

Great job in creating these ROMs, I will test them out as soon as possible and will of course provide feedback, hopefully all goes well. Also if you are planning on bringing nougat for this device, then you my friend are a wizard! Can't wait to hear back from you.
Edit: Okay... For some it keeps on saying "download failed" for the open_gapps-arm-6.0-pico-20161028, I've tried downloading it from github as well. Man, such bad luck already at 2:50am =(
Finished downloading the ROM before though.

Thanks. I want to finish my MM contribution in the near future then get some rest until winter (I feel exhausted). I'll start a Nougat on Kindle campaign somewhere in winter.

Quick request, whenever I try and download open_gapps-arm-6.0-pico-20161028 it keeps on saying "download failed" when it comes to finishing at around 106mb. Is it possible if you can upload this in Google drive (or any other cloud server) so that I can download this without it failing. I've tried looking for aalternative websites where I could download the gapps, but it ended the same way xD. Thanks bro! =)

Have you tried downloading open_gapps-arm-6.0-micro instead of open_gapps-arm-6.0-pico

Alright, got it to download =)
The boot time took around 4 minutes, I was really surprised when I saw Android Upgrading because everything looked so different, the looks of it beats them all. The setup was quick and simple. My first impressions of the ROM were that it looks good and is more reliable than android 5.1 (my experience with 5.1 was dreadful, too laggy!) The reason as to why it's more reliable is because for once the stock camera app actually works! This got me surprised. For kernel adiutor I did configure the "low memory killer" and chose very aggressive, however, since this is marshmallow I understand how much RAM it takes up, I had around 240mb of RAM left so not really sure if that's a good or a bad thing (in this case). Battery seems decent enough. For quadrant standard, I ran the full test and got around 12,398 that's actually quite good considering on android 4.4 I usually get around 8,000-9,000. I just want to know why the GPU OC is set on 384 as max. I did encounter a lot of minor bugs, in this case in the settings app whenever I click on a GUI the borders on top go from its original colour to black constantly. In the quick settings, whenever I were to click night mode, it would show the screen blinking for around a second or two (not sure if this is normal).
Regardless of the minor bugs, this ROM has potential! Hopefully in future releases you can get it to work more stable and lagfree. Can you recommend me which of the android 6.0 ROMs work best for you? Thanks man! This ROM still beats any android 5.1 I've tried on this device.
Kind regards,

Description
Tipsy OS is a ROM built with a strong emphasis on smoothness and stability. This ROM is very light, thanks to its Slim base, but it also comes packed with a great number of customization possibilities, as DPI settings, animations customizations, gestures... It is also packed with some Omni features as OmniSwitch. It is also build to be fully compatible with the Subtratum theme engine.
Status
This ROM in active developement.
Bugs
This bug section has a specific protocol.
To each bug will be assignated one flag of the following:
C : CyanogenMod specific. This means the bug originates from the CyanogenMod sources and that it will be fixed by the CM developers in a future build.
F : Flavor specific. This means the bug originates from the ROM's flavor sources and that it will be fixed by its developers in a future build.
B : Build specific. This means the bug originates from the builds I do. Hopefully, this is very unlikely to happen.
U : Unknown. Not enough info (yet) to identify the origin of the bug.
Then, there will be if necessary some more textual info about the context of the bug, workaround in bold if available to avoid the bug before a fix. Every fixed bug will get struck.
No bugs to report at this time
You can, and are encouraged to report any bug you encounter with this ROM. Will be taken into account reports containing the following :
The build you are using
Clear steps to reproduce the bug
Optional logcat of when the bug happens
If possible, tell me if you experience the same bug on other CM-based ROMs
If possible, tell me if you experience the same bug on another device with the same ROM
Of course, any other information you judge useful
When meeting this criterias and if other users approve your report, it will be added to the list. Bugs encountered with the use of Xposed or a custom kernel will be discarded.

Frequently Asked Questions
When is the next build coming?
I can't give precise information about the next build. I try to do a new build each time there is a significant change in the ROM's sources (bugfixes, new features...), but keep in mind that I can only do this on my personal computer for now, and that I also do it on my free time. So please be patient!
Will you fix this bug?
Unfortunately, I'm not the person in charge of fixing the ROM's flaws internally. We have to wait until the bug is fixed in the upstream sources (either CyanogenMod, or the ROM developers of the one in this thread), and that I do a new build.
Will a Nougat version of this ROM be available?
I hope so! Again, this depends CyanogenMod 14 ever comes to our device, and if the ROM developers carry on to this version too. I can't say for sure, but if it is possible, it will be done.

Tipsy OS
This ROM contains preinstalled apps (ES File Explorer, AdAway, Viper4AndroidFX) that I view as bloatware, because I consider they should not be part of a base ROM experience but rather as apps that the user should install themselves. I'll try to remove them in the next build.
Otherwise, this is a great ROM, and I really recommand it if you think Slim6 doesn't have enough features, because it keeps its optimised and smooth aspects, depsite being loaded with a very complete set of customization features.
I love my PACROM but Ill give this a go. I like smooth however, no one ever focuses on responsiveness. If we could click on ..lets just say the calendar app, I would like it to almost open immediately. I know cache builds up and helps the Android OS but clicking on apps and having them open almost instantly with very little delay would be next level. Thanks for putting this out and keeping our M7's alive longer than expected. Ill report back with my experience after I get it all up and running and also after 2 days of heavy use. Thanks again!

This ROM has doubletap to sleep on the lockscreen or on navbar. This ROM and most Marshmallow ROM doesn't have doubletap to wake. This feature requires the touchscreen to still be listening to inputs while in sleep, and the m7 isn't optimized for that, so it's draining a considerable amount of battery. I think it is better not to have this feature.

I am currently using Xenon HD's Marshmallow ROM and it has double-tap-2-wake, and status bar to sleep.
The main issue I have with the HTC one m7 is the fact that the power button is too hard to press with a case on, thus double tap 2 wake is much needed! It would be nice if it was possible to integrate these functions into the kernel, or if there was Any other way!

I'm in the same boat, using XenonHD LP, and love me some DT2W
Please give us the option to have this feature, you could always have it turned off on your phone
Or maybe provide a separate kernel build that has DT2W enabled so that we can use Kernel Aduitor to enable the feature.
Many thanks!
I won't include this features in any ROM I build, sorry.
You can still extract the boot.img from XenonHD (including the MM builds) and flash it with fastboot. Then you'll use the same kernel as this ROM which will include DT2W.

wow, great work @tuxdude143!!
cant wait to try this rom, keep the good work bro...
Updated the opening post to reflect that music playback does actually work but FLAC files seem to be a bit fiddly. They refuse to work in the stock music player and some apps like BlackPlayer but they will play just fine in other apps like VLC or Foobar2000. Your mileage may vary.
MP3 playback works absolutely fine in all apps.
In the next build I plan to have bluetooth and rotation working and I'll try and bundle the nubia camera and gallery into the rom itself.
Thanks for your effort to develop for this device. Hope to try your rom as soon as my device arrives

i did install the rom and seems to be a beginnig of a good rom for our phones
unfortunatly i can not test this rom for long because bluetooth is not functioning and i need my bluetooth every day so i hope this will be solved soon
so i can do some long term testing and use it as dayly rom to help to find the bugs left and give more imput

Thank you Tuxdude. And thank you to Roland for make me aware of this ROM.
Do you have an idea of when do you plan to post the new build? Bluetooth is really necessary.
Anyway, I'll test it, as I can live without Bluetooth for the next few days. I hope there'll be few days
EDIT: I've been trying out the ROM. So far, so good. I don't have those reboots that I had with Lineage using substratum. Almost every hour I had a reboot. Not with Carbon.
EDIT 2: After more than 24 hours of use and two times charged, I can tell that battery use, even as we know that we have to let the ROM settle, is very high. From 100% to 15% in just 5 hours. Two times. Also, it is not a fast ROM. It takes a couple of seconds to register touch and launch the app. It still needs several maintenance and work. But on the plus side, substratum keeps working like a charm.
The only other bug that I found is that the Menu/Recents button doesn't work, even if I change their settings. Changing settings work for the menu button.

Thanks for reporting these bugs. At the moment I'm looking into fixing bluetooth, rotation etc and hope to have them working in the next build.
Battery usage is also something I'm working on. I know Deep Sleep works fine but battery management isn't the greatest. I'll try and either fix that in the next update or the update after.
Thanks for the feedback!

Bluetooth is really important, so please help us solving this issue first.
But the reliability and choppiness issue is huge on my phone. Even with the ROM installed and no other app or tweak on it, it is really slow to launch a default app. Also, I'm using OpenGapps because on the link that you wrote for MindtheGapps, I cannot install it. The Play Store is there, but as soon as I launched it, a message saying that I don't have Google Play Services installed pops out. And going to recovery to reinstall it gets me on the same message. I even tried to install both ARM versions that are on the site, but with the same results. And in one instance, I just installed the ROM with no Gapps, and the same slow launching times happen, even launching the calculator app takes a few seconds.

I'm using opengapps as well. I just did a copy and paste of the thread template for carbonROM when I made the thread which is why the reference to using mindthegapps is there.
I'll probably update the OP to say you should just use openGapps since those seem to work absolutely fine.
Also apologies for no update this week. University has been keeping me busy so I've been juggling around a lot of stuff. I'll look into repairing the major bugs and releasing an update as soon as possible though

Take all the time you may need. As long as it's as soon as possible
I understand. I just wish more people could download and test the ROM, but I suspect Bluetooth is really needed to be working.
I'm using it as my daily driver and I can cope with the glitches, as long as my substratum themes keep working. Also, many people probably don't know this, but with Carbon OS, if you install a layer, there's no need to reboot the system to apply it.
hi guys I want to give you great news ... the automatic rotation works ... you just have to activate all the rotations from the settings
WHEW things have been quiet. Sorry for not having posted an update in so long. University has been preventing me from really doing any solid work on this.
I'm planning on trying to make some new builds based against the new device tree, kernel etc that highwaystar is using for the new builds of LineageOS 14.1. The hope is that will fix some of the bugs currently present. I currently have no real ETA for when I'll get that build all sorted out what with being up to my neck in university work but I'll try and get it out there at some point.
Thanks for all your patience, I know how restless you must be for an update and I can understand that. Once I have some more time on my hands then I should be able to pump out a new build

-BT AAC Codec isn't working actually
-Calls may have no Audio
But that's all on My Bug List. It seems like the latest Versions aren't booting on the Xperia 1 III so it will be the same on the 5 III. But I will help to fix that if People are willed to test around... That's why I'm also on GitHub...

Are you willing to develop a stable version for me? I am willing to donate higher amounts to fund the development. I'm quite tired of the way Sony does their software.
The auto downgrade to 60Hz everytime the phone gets slightly hot. That software feature itself drives me mad from using the phone.

Totally agree with You about the Software since the Z3 (Z3+/Z4). They started a Semi-Public Beta Program to optimize the Firmwares with an Bareboned AOSP. Still lacking a lot of the old famous Featurs like the Mini Apps, Extra Apps, Widgets, Brands like Cybershot, Walkman and so on... It's sad!
I'm really trying to get the best out of it (still). So i will solve the issues asap (next 24hrs).
Let's try to solve the Performance issues right after that!
I splitted My MARS SOMs into 3 Gears. Everything is explained on GitHub. Also updated the Threads and the ReadMe's. Also made huge Progress with My own Overlay. It's a firsty on Android Development (including incredible and tons of Features). Give "Gear Second" and "Gear First" a try for now. It should work fine yet (except for the Audio issues maybe)

Yes thank you for your contributions so far. I will be more than happy to test out once it can be installed. Looking forward to supporting your work by way of finance and feedback.
Are you able to integrate with Franko Kernel Manager?

Thank You very much for Your Support! Really appreciate it! I just updated MARS again and it's free of bugs i think. I just need help to find out why it Bootloops on 2020 and 2021 Devices...

I bought this App too, but do You mean a own Kernel for the Xperias? Or are You thinking about Profiles for the Stock Kernel?

We should be the one to thank you! I will try your new build out and give feedback. Yes i think the Xperia needs s custom kernel or custom profiles at least.
Something is not right with how the stock kernel processes tasks. Games do not get the phone hot. But teamviewer, uber and google maps does for some reason. One other Xperia 5 III owner reported that the Franko Kernel Manager solves this issue. Perhaps we can take reference from this and improve?

The Problems with the Performance should be fixed over the MARS Base SOM. I played around with the Kernel Settings and it doesn't seems to improve stuff further. LMK and ZRAM are the bad Guys at the end. Paired with wrong rendering of certain Apps like Google Maps. Everything of that and more should be improved with My fully working SOMs. I would be glad to make it work on the last 6 Flagships from SONY (Maybe even the Pro Devices). Just need some help with the testing...
Really reached some big Goals the last week or so. Really looking forward to make it 100% stable for everyone. There are also more things planned for our Xperias which are really ambitious...

Hey there. Just managed to install your SOM and test it out for a while. Overall stability is there and performance seems identical to stock.
Just would like to raise some stability issues:
Unable to turn on Wi-Fi on my end so far. Turning it on through notification shade shortcut causes System UI to freeze momentarily and W-Fi goes off after that. Turning it on through settings causes Settings to freeze momentarily and Wi-Fi goes off after that. It doesn't show list of Wi-Fi networks
Screen refresh rate still drops to 60Hz when phone gets warm and there is no way to force change it back to 90Hz or to turn this feature off
Also raising these suggestions:
We have to find a way to improve the time from fingerprint scan to home screen. It has taken too long since the first Xperia 5. Also, pressing the power button and resting finger on the sensor at the same time seems to get to home screen faster. Just resting finger on the sensor without pressing the power button takes a longer time. I think it is something to do with software
Is it feasible to port over Lineage OS or similar?
Thank you and looking forward to hearing from you and supporting your work!
Thanks again for Your detailed Feedback @SPEEDHAMMER ! I have just released another big Update which should improve things further...
I would really like to see You on My Disco rd Server to share more Details about my upcoming work with You!
I'm about to create an Xperia Exclusive OS with many great Features. There are already some people around and I'm sure they would like to see You too!
HUGE UPDATES INCOMING!
MARS will be available over GitHub Releases so You can easily Download ready-to-use Zips of MARS for Magisk. Also included are now OTA Updates for MARS over Magisk and the focus Changed to GSIs again. Use PHH AOSP 12 or PIXEL EXPIERENCE 12 by Ponces to unleash Your Xperias
Excuse me, I've just come back after 3 years of stock ROMs. What is the order of flashing the Pixel Experience? I used to use a custom recovery, but as I see there's no such one for 5 III and I didn't find any instruction. Do I just flash the ROM via "fastboot flash system_b pe.img"?
Now I have a stock ROM with all-working Magisk. Do I need a full-wipe also? There's a GSI flashing after Magisk installation in your general instruction, right?

You need the Pixelsystem.img File
Place it next to fastboot and execute:
fastboot flash system_a Pixelsystem.img
Followed by
fastboot flash system_b Pixelsystem.img
Wipe Your Device or it doesnt Boot
fastboot -w
Thats it
Sorry, have the same error during step 5 and during flashing PE. I made a mistake somewhere.
