OnePlus 8T KB2005 on TMobile - OnePlus 8T Questions & Answers

Any experience with the US version not sold by TMobile on TMobile?
4G signal strength? I cant find good info on bands for this specific model and use in my location.
Best Buy has this one for $499.99 cash/carry activate later and $449 activated in store.

Little late but you shouldn't have any problems using it on T-Mobile.

Been using this model on TMobile and Verizon withe the dual sim. Works great and on TMobile but the Verizon seams to stutter some times maybe it because it's a prepaid line.
But you should not have any issues

I went ahead and got it thinking I could take it back if it wasnt what I had hoped. Works good, 5G is insane in an area that has it.

Ok, not much of a surprise. It's going to be very hard to justify getting an iPhone 5 on Verizon if it doesn't have LTE.
I like how fast LTE is going over the country too, Sprint still has almost no 4g support here in Toledo.
I consistently test at downspeeds of 30Mb/s and upload speeds of 15Mb/s in my home town of Orange County, CA. Love LTE!!
wow, I was just happy to finally have 3g, and looking forward to 4g, but wow on the lte speeds
I'd love to know where that 37mbps download happened at.
Somewhere in the midwest or central US according to the site.
Still mind boggled how it is in Erie, PA and Rochester, NY but not Buffalo? In rochester it IS awesome though

No way that was real, sounded like one of those speedtests done on the Thunderbolt that had the issue with caching download/upload data from the speedtest and giving false reports.

Any One S users on AT&T?

So the TMOUS version of the One S has 850/1900 HSPA+ bands. Anybody here using it on AT&T's network? If so, what type of data speeds and pings are you getting? What APN are you using?
I'm currently running the $30/mo Tmo plan but am curious how well the One S works on AT&T.
it should work without any issue according to the review done by anandtech (http://www.anandtech.com/show/5868/htc-one-s-review-international-and-tmobile/7). You will only get 21 mbps hspa.
So I managed to get a post-paid AT&T sim into my One S and test it out. Results are not as good as T-Mo, but still pretty solid:

I used the APN settings found in the OP of the following post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1791526.
To any AT&T users experiencing sub-par data speeds, I *HIGHLY RECOMMEND* switching to the APN linked above.
Download tweakker app to set APN
T-MobileUS HTC One S running Stock Rooted 2.21.
You still get "4g" but it's only like 23mbps.

Cricket/AIO merging. What does this mean for us?

*****THIS HAS BEEN POSTED ON SEVERAL FORUMS*****
I got a text message on my phone today from Cricket. It told me Cricket and AIO have or are currently in the process of merging and gave me a link in the text for more info regarding what will happen and change during this transition.
Site: http://merger-info.aiowireless.com/
check it out for yourself. It gives less than ANY info. It does say though, that Cricket users will be required to buy a new device at some point when the merge is completed to continue to recieve service.
I bought my Samsung galaxy s3 from Cricket in early December.
It is 4g LTE compatible and uses a sim card, even though it says clearly throughout the Cricket site that they use CDMA devices.
Does this mean it can still be used after the merge, or will I STILL need to buy a new device? I believe it is a gsm compatible device.
I will include a picture of my phone, with the back cover showing it is a Cricket phone that has a sim card slot. That actually has a sim card in it.

Who else has Cricket or AIO? What are your thoughts on this merge?

Question Issues with connectivity

For some od reason no 5G at all on every carrier, will there be an update to fix this? Or am I doomed with a only 4g phone where I spent 1300 bucks on to have 5g speeds? And I'm talking about the Rog Phone 5 and that is suppose to be 5G compatible, if it's not I'll make sure to get a refund
Can confirm, I also cannot connect with 5G, only 4G+, provider is T-Mobile Poland. It could be that provider allows only whitelisted device models to connect with 5G during tests of this technology.

Today I succesfully connected with 5G when I moved to bigger city. It seems that coverage maps falsely claims that there is 5G coverage where I tried first.

I Get 5G Speeds on my Unlocked 8T on AT&T & Google fi Without Mods

I had read lots about having to mod the 8t using engineering mode and other files and utilities because OP released the 8t without 5G capabilities on all carriers. This was when it was released.
So I am posting this to see if there is something I am missing.......
I have rooted and Rom'd since the Motorola Droid and pretty worn out with it I run stock now. But in getting the 8t for $449.00 with free pro ear buds flash sale I went for it with plans of a little phone modding again. Still not liking to have to do it after every update.
So I fire up the 8t and see only LTE on AT&T. I then setup for Google FI and see 5G immediately. I go to my local AT&T store and complain, and because I was not on an unlimited plan I needed to change plans, all of their 5G plans are unlimited data, cost me $10.00 more a month.
The sales rep said I will not see the 5G icon but will see the speeds.
Below are a couple screen shots sitting in my Truck in Marietta Ga.
AT&T on the Right, fi on Left.
