How to stop Google Services from Draining battery ?? - Huawei P40 Pro Questions & Answers

So i am experiencing a huge difference in battery life when i am putting google service on manual mode (disabled auto launch, background run) .
when google services enabled i am getting 4 hours SOT and when its disabled i am getting 7 hours SOT but i cant use messenger , WhatsApp or any other app when GMS on manual mode ..

I have Mate40 pro, without GMS (can't be installed).

i can use them only for chatting , when ever i calling someone the call disconnect itself when screen gets locked ...... if screen it not locked call will run smoothly.

Did you look at the settings - battery - application launch, did you check them if the apps are marked to run in the background?
I have P40 pro too, with GMS, and all apps are working fine.

[Q] Event_Log_Handoff wakelock

Does anybody know what the Event_Log_Handoff wakelock is? It's been constantly keeping my phone awake and draining battery.
I have a XT925, 4.1.2, Rooted
All I have syncing is my Gmail. I don't use Facebook or Google maps. The only Google Apps I have are Play Store, Gmail, Google search, and Google Voice.
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
I found this solution for the Event_Log Handoff Wakelocks in an older thread, tell me if it works!
I had found this issue

This issue was giving me the ****s and finally I solved it - at least on my Phone. You should use the same steps below to solve 60mA drain or otherwise on your phones as well.
1. Installed Better Battery Stats 1.1.1.0
2. Goto Partial Wakelocks and choose option - Since Charged or Since Unplugged
3. Find the Top 2 consumers :-
Mine were CHECKIN HANDOFF - Google Services ( more than 86% use ) in my case over 4 hours - AND EVENT LOG HANDOFF - Google Services - again very significant usage way above what it should be.
The rest were fine ( significantly less than 1% ).
4. I Then installed AUTORUN MANAGER Version 3.1 ( pro )
This allows you to list Applications with Receivers and to disable individual receivers from user AND System Applications
5. Went to Google Services Framework ( obvious place to check )
6. Disabled ( unchecked ) the Checkin.EventLogService$Receiver
7. Disabled ( unchecked ) the CheckinService$TriggerReceiver
8. Disabled ( unchecked ) the CheckinService$Receiver
9. Disabled ( unchecked ) the CheckinService$SecretCodeReceiver
PROBLEM SOLVED - ONLY 3-4mA drain in Standby now Instead of the ****ty 60mA drain.
Finally I can have a 100% perfect Rom

[HELP] Honor 6 problem --> Google play services eats 37% of the battery

Hello,
I have recently bough a Honor 6 (Emui 4.0, model H60-L04, B820, android 6.0) and google play services eats 37% of my battery software usage. I have tried a factory reset but the problem still happening.
GPS and location services are disabled. Do someone have any idea about what could i do to solve this issue?
Thanks in advance
If u are rooted, U can use Betterbatterystats app to see your exact Partial Wakelocks.
But no doubt it will be Nlpwakelock and/or Nlpcollectorwakelock.
Google for these and you will find many tips how to solve this.
There are many apps abusing the location services in the background to track your habits.
FIRST THING IS KICKING THE FACEBOOK APP OUT OF THE DOOR.
This is the world's biggest spying, tracking and battery raping ****y app.
Use Tinfoil instead.
Ditching the Facebook app gave me 24 hours of battery life extra...
Turn of WiFi & BT Location-scanning in de background. For this option you have to click a little deeper in the settings. (At least on MIUI4 on my 6Plus.
Good luck. I It can be solved!

Mate 9 - No Push Notification (GCM not available) using Mobile Connection

Good evening Ladies and Gentlemen!
I own a Huawei Mate 9 (Chinese Version, 6GB/128 GB, international ROM) since 5 days using Nova Launcher. I don't know if Nova is an important information. I just wanted to mention it.
Everything is working well except Push Notifications since yesterday. This problem only occurs when I am connected via Mobile only, when I don't have a Wifi connection. This problem affects Whatsapp, Threema, Aqua Mail and other apps that need push to notify me immerdiately when messages were sent to me.
I've read a lot of articles about this issue and made some changes on the settings of battery optimization (energy plan, protected apps), mobile connection (always on, stay active in stand-by mode, notification settings) and app settings, unfortunately without any positive effect.
I've installed two apps from the play store: Push Notification Tester and Push Notification Checking Fix. These apps report the following issues:
Push Notification Tester: "Register Push Notifications" marked red. Here seems to be an issue.
Push Notification Checking Fix: Push Notification from GCM (Google Cloud Messaging) "not available"
Why is this Google Cloud Messaging Service inaktive when using mobile connection only?
Is there a way how I can change this?
It would be great if anyone who could help me.
Thanks,
LeDierck
Are you living in China ? I am also facing the same issue on my China phone.
Update your phone to Oreo. The problem will be gone. If you can't update, take system writing permissions back from the Phone Manager app.
I am using the Android 8, but still have problems.
Settings - Mobile data - Networked Apps - System Apps, Make sure to enable the option for 'Google Services Framework'.

Wifi Connected but YouTube, Gmail, Google home, Google related apps not connecting

I used phone clone to go from a Mate 9 to the Honor Note 10 and have the issue with my wifi, where it is working fine for web browsing and apps, but Google does not see to be working as I can't see my google home or chromecast. If I turn off wifi all these notifications come. Then youtube will work but after a while, same thing, no connection. Gmail same problem. Exact same problem with my wifes phone, we used phone clone from a P10 to the Honor 10. I thought phone clone worked well but maybe it is the cause?

I fixed my own issue, was monkeying around and a pop-up came up telling me that google wifi services were blocked? I unblocked it, does anyone know how to go to this setting directly on the phone?

Google Play Services Drain

I was looking at my girlfriends phone to compare some battery stats and was astounded to see that Google play services was draining 45% of the battery.
As it's not my phone don't really have the time to do any serious diagnostics at the moment, and wanted to know if anyone had/had solved a similar issue?
Appreciate the help

Haha I am a lifelong android user, just haven't had a Google phone since my 6p.
Just wondering if there are any known issues as I wont have the opportunity to do the gsam/betterbatterystats debug that I would otherwise do as it's my girlfriends phone
Also the fact its draining 2% a minute when in use is insane :silly:
Try the beta and see if that helps.
Usually, google play services drains are related to sync. The account/google play/other google service is trying to sync but not connecting, so it just continually tries to reconnect. Try turning off sync and see if the problem goes away. It might be syncing in areas with weak signal is causing the problem.
I just checked my Pixel 3 and Google Play Services does not show up on my battery usage chart. Only Nova Launcher (3%), Google Play Store (2%), Outlook (2%) and BlueMail (1%). I have been trying out different email programs for the last couple of hours and just ran the current security upgrade.

You have show system apps by hitting the 3 dots, although the problem hasn't come back since playing with some settings and a reboot
