You would ota update with an active AT&T sim in the phone. It's been it's brought up every other day now. It's the only way.

i didnt get any ota update , i dont use at&t coz im in indonesia.

That would be why. You'd have to have an att sim of prepaid att sim to be able to update.

I heard one of the previous Huawei(honor) device got dual functioning through update of dev or phone update , but the phone was released as single sim version , later it was activated second sim. Hope we can get that soon :
I don't think so but, if Frd-l04 have another "HIDDEN" IMEI then, it's 100% possible to achieve

My friend haad an L04 which he rebranded to L02. Not sure which country though.

FRD-L02 is for two countries
one is Indian version, which is FRD-L02C675BXX.
another one is japanese version , which is FRD-L02C635BXX.

I was wondering about the same .
Last time i rebranded to L09 to test that stuff , it went in vain and got no help. Am sure that i did something wrong .( Wait i did nothing wrong as i rebranded successfully,got an ota update after first boot. Still no dual sim. )I suspect that i may have flashed a firmware meant for single sim. This time am collecting all info , let u guys know if i was successful on my next trial

Is there any way to active the second sim in my honor 8 , a dev in honor 7 forum successfully activated the second sim ,also the both sims are working on a single imei, wierd !, i tried rebranded my FRD-L02 to FRD-L19 but still no luck .

Unlock bootloader and flash fastboot android 10 EU rom and update your oneplus to android 11 in updater app.
And now after updating, lock the bootloader.
Congrats now u have working dual sim on oneplus 8 t- mobile

Does your second sim get any signal? My phone detects it after following the above, but doesn't connect to the cell network. Same thing if I swap the first and second sim, the second one never gets signal.
Same story all across the board... no one has yet proved that SIM2 actually gets signal even though it shows IMEI for TMOBILE varients
