I have a Oneplus 8 from Tmobile which I was able to update to Global ROM 11.0.7.7 IN21AA. Seems like it doesn't have the dual sim support. I have the tray and the phone is unlocked. Any help? Any other ROM that I can upload that has this available?

Unlock bootloader and flash fastboot android 10 EU rom and update your oneplus to android 11 in updater app.
And now after updating, lock the bootloader.
Congrats now u have working dual sim on oneplus 8 t- mobile

Does your second sim get any signal? My phone detects it after following the above, but doesn't connect to the cell network. Same thing if I swap the first and second sim, the second one never gets signal.
Same story all across the board... no one has yet proved that SIM2 actually gets signal even though it shows IMEI for TMOBILE varients

I am facing issues with Airtel4g sim. Getting not even 0.5mbps. RJio is working fine with good speeds. I have tested same Airtel sim in Lyf Wind4 and it gave the speed upto 20mbps. So whats wrong there with Honor6x? All APN settings are also OK as per Airtel guys. Plz friends help me to sort it out. I have updated to Nougat today, but the same problem is still there. I have tried Airtel in slot1 as well as slot2. All phone settings are also ok. Plz help me

Once the bootloader is open, can it be closed again?
I ask because it is said that Drm and Google Play support may be broken if the bootloader remains open
Is there any extra advantage to switching to the global ROM instead of staying on the other than the updates?

Faster updates. Faster updates to q. Better camera support. Better rom support. And yes you can lock your bootloader back

Use gm1917 oxygenos and gm1917 custom roms on the T-Mobile OnePlus 7 Pro.
Tho... AOSP roms are having problems with wifi or vowifi it's called!

Hi, I'm looking for a new phone and I've been searching for one that supports root (Magisk, unlocked bootloader) while keeping Widevine L1 .
I've read the Xiaomi 10 Pro can do that, but I have a few questions:
1. Does this happens only with the chinese version, or with the global version as well?
2. Does this work on the Mi 10 Pro 5G?
3. Does this work with any ROM, or xiaomi.eu only?
4. A little off-topic here, any other (non xiaomi) phone that can achieve this?

both china and global have L1, but be careful if you play around with things like persist partition you may break it. there are some people on xiaomi eu forum that managed to do that
I guess installing only xiaomi.eu ROM will do no harm hehe.

nope eu is awesome
just don't forget to "format data" (not factory reset or wipe) the first time you install twrp before flashing eu or it won't boot. there is also a stable eu miui 12 version available for mi 10 pro.
And about L1, is it possible to keep it with root on any ROM, or only xiaomi.eu ones?

I don't use 5G myself the option for it is in the settings (enable 5G and prefer 5G) and I cannot find anyone complaining on eu forums about mi 10. All I could find is a couple of people saying it doesn't work on K30 and an old post saying the bug is fixed in January for mi 9 pro. if it's broken on eu at least no one cared enough to make a bug report for it.

Well it doesn't work, maybe no one has 5g sim.
I can confirm now that global version of the phone with xiaomi.eu maintains both Widevine L1 profile and 5G settings.

Whats the best rom to get tmobile 5g working? It works for me on the china rom, but EU and global it's a no go for some reason
It's weird that eu rom breaks your 5G, as it is based on the china ROM if I'm not mistaken. Try and post on their forums, maybe is a carrier specific issue?
5G works for me on eu rom but just on sim2. You have to buy sim tray with 2 sim slots and put your card in sim2 slot.

Will never buy another OnePlus device from TMobile bcuz I'm late getting updates and it's not the OFFICIAL OXYGEN OS software.. I'm trying to get the phone unlocked but mobdeep's backed up right now.. Sucks all around

Yes but if you're on the TMOBILE version u don't get features like the OnePlus shelf, quicker updates etc..

That's my plan
I prefer the Google version instead of OnePlus shelf. My other phone is a global OnePlus 7 Pro and I'm not missing anything. In fact, I'm on a newer security patch on the TMobile OnePlus 8 5G.
