[Q] [Samsung I5800] Galaxy 3 - Froyo Update Questions

Greetings from Brasil !
Sorry if this isn't the right thread for this post,but i will risk it anyway.
I recently bought a Samsung galaxy 3 - I5800 here im Brasil,and it came with Eclair 2.1.
I know people found a way to upgrade it to Froyo 2.2,but what i want to know is :
1 - Will my swype keyboard method still work in portuguese (PTBR ) language ?
if no,is there any alternative swype keyboard that i will be able to install/replace the default one to make the correct language input work ?
2 - Will i loose all my apps ?
3 - Will i have to root it again ?
4 - In my opinion,this phone is sort of slow,most of games does not run smoothly and i experience lags ,will froyo increase my phone's performance ?
5 - Whats the difference between those Froyo "releases" of ROMS that i've found all over the internet ? Like JPA/JPM/JP6 or w.e .

i5800 froyo
Marcelo, eu instalei com o Odin a versão I5800XXJPF e tá rodando direitinho. Para resolver o problema do teclado em português, eu instalei o Samart Keybord Trial. é de graça e funciona até o T9. Se tiver alguma dúvida, é só falar... boa sorte, Edu

Use Titanium to backup all apps and system data, them use kyrillos 4.1 rom-i used for quite awhile-no problems (overclock version worked good too) though I wouldn't want to go higher than 866 for games-install setcpu to control max overclock.
I flashed quite a few times (currently using kyrillos 5.1) and used titanium to reinstall--everything worked perfectly!!!

If you mean stock ROM then the ony way is to have Magisc with specific module installed I believe. So you can't get that working without root. You could probably try and find a ROM that has it baked in and is not prerooted or unroot it after the installation but I'm not aware if there's one out there.

Děkuji za informace. Ano, myslel jsem skladovou ROM. Zatím nechci root. Zvuk není příliš dobrý, takže jsem doufal alespoň v nějakou aplikaci.

If you're using headphones you can try "Settings/Sound & vibration/Sound effects", if you haven't already done that. There's an equaliser there. I am using a volume boosting app for my MI buds 2.0 (worst buy ever lol) to make the sound less thin.
